Dog friendly!!! Came here after a hike with 3 dogs Saturday morning. Luckily no wait for table. Outdoor sitting next to the Glendale Country club. There is a small parking lot full. We parked on street with a short walk. Surprised with the beautiful coffee presentation. I ordered the rainbow code and my friend ordered a print coffee which you can choose from so many different print designs. So she chose a dog design of course for dog lovers. The coffee tastes great as well! You order and pay at the shop and the servers bring the dishes to the table. My avocado toast is beautiful and yummy. My only complaint was that I wished I had been informed that my photo was too complicated to be able to be printed on the foam of my latte. I do appreciate that the barista offered to get it redone. But I just ended up drinking it. It is pretty pricy at $8 for a matcha latte. They add two types of matcha powders. One is sweetened, the other isn't. But I think it tasted somewhat bland, so I added honey. The $14 breakfast bowl was yummy and very fulfilling. I had it with no cheese, though. Instead, I got pesto as a substitute. Which was fine, but it tasted better. Parking was quite tricky. Very few on a small lot; otherwise it's street parking. It did smell kinda weird at some parts of the outdoor patio. read more

Went over on this gloomy morning to this enchanted cafe. From the street you see painted walls and very creative decorating and planters. Inside is very neat and clean with menu items written large on the wall as well as regular menus. We all had various forms of coffee, I had a delicious latte. The staff on duty were all very friendly and helpful. I wish this place was closer to me but I can say I will be back very soon. read more

What a beautiful cafe. Parking can be a bit tricky as the parking lot is tiny but street parking is available. We ordered the Breakfast Bowl, the Breakfast Plate and the Breakfast Croissant and we all loved our choices! Service was also excellent! We'll definitely be back. read more

Everything is so delicious and good portions. Service is good. You may need to talk a while before your food comes, but it's hot and yummy when it does. While you wait drinks come, so if you are really hangry...get/order a croissant before your meal comes. The environment is calming and relaxing, a real treat to eat outside in a small neighborhood surrounded by trees. I've been wanting to stop by Wild Oak Cafe for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their smoothies and fresh fruit juices were especially delicious, refreshing, and packed with real ingredients. I recommend the Blue Hawaiian. The service was also fantastic, welcoming, patient, and super helpful in guiding us through the menu without any pressure, even though we came in close to closing time. Thank you for being so courteous and for serving such amazing food. Can't wait to come back! Plus this place is tucked away in the mountains which adds a nice touch and adds to the peacefulness of the restaurant. read more

Very cute brunch spot! It is a little hidden so it can be easily missed because it is somewhat in the middle of a residential area surrounded with trees. Parking can be tough because there aren't that many spots. You go in, order, you're given a number, and then you go outside for a table. There is only outside seating which is quite nice because it is surrounded by nature. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Food came pretty fast and the latte was so cute that I almost didn't want to drink it! It was pretty pricey - $8 and the avocado toast was $18 but it was very delicious. The rainbow matcha latte had a very pretty design and was very yummy, flavorful, and not too sweet! The avocado toast was so good with the poached egg and guacamole..not sure if it was with $18 but it definitely was super fresh! Matcha latte was 10/10 for me and avocado toast was 9/10 only because it was a a little pricey. I would recommend coming here as a first time experience but not sure if I'll return read more

This was a cute local cafe. I love all the floral details and displays. Workers are very nice but the worker who took our order seemed new and wasn't able to help or answer of our questions about the food and drinks. She was confused the entire time. They have the trendy rainbow latte here and you can also add stencil art/patterns to your latte. I enjoyed my rainbow latte. The cobb salad was just okay. California pizza kitchen does a better job. Definitely come for the ambiance and drinks but don't have high expectations on the food =) read more

FLAVOR (4/5): Ordered the breakfast bowl here and it was solid! Hash brown base, sausage, egg, peppers, avocado and salsa. The avocado toast also looks super fancy with edible flowers and poached eggs! INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): A cute spot tucked away in Glendale next to the country club. Florals coming out of the ceiling, vintage car decked out in front, volkswagen bus counter inside and ample outdoor shaded seating! Good photo ops place. This place had a really cute outdoor seating area. It's only outdoor seating but there was shade and umbrellas to keep cool. The food was all just okay. Everyone in my party thought that there was flavor lacking in their dishes. But the salsa that they brought out kind of made up for it. The service was sub par. We were large group and we had to move the tables around and bring out our own waters, they only brought out the food. I don't know if I would come again because it was kind of pricey for the service and the flavor. The orange juice was delicious tho! read more

It's definitely a cute place from the outside but expect a wait and okay food. Parking: Parking is very limited. There is about 10 parking spots on the side of the restaurant. The parking spots are on each side of the restaurant. If you can't find parking there you can park on the side of the street but be careful cars go pretty fast going into the neighborhood. Customer Service & Wait Time: After you order you will wait in the patio for a table. Expect a wait time for a table of at least 30mins or longer. The staff will buss your table and then direct you to a table. I wish they would have a running list of names so you have an idea of how long it will be for a table before you order. There were other parties waiting in the same patio as us. It felt very crowded. Once we finally sat down it was another 30-45 minutes for food. The staff would often check on the table and would say oh just a little bit longer but never gave an update on how much longer for food. Quality of Food: It was okay! It took about 45 mins-1hour to get the food. The food was also lukewarm as if it was sitting there for awhile. My friends and I ordered the breakfast burrito, avocado toast, waffle and burger. They were all just below average. I wish it was warmer and more fresh. Even though it looks cute don't let it deceive you. Try somewhere else if you're looking for an accurate wait time, quality food and not feeling crowded. read more

This café is so much fun! The patio area is great and they have heaters on if it's cold. The rainbow latte is even prettier in person than it is in the pictures! The food was delicious. I got one of the most popular sandwiches. And then, of course the latte was not only picture perfect but it tasted delicious to. The service was great. She answered all of my questions and was very helpful. You walk up to the counter order your food take your number and they bring it to you type of places, it was a very busy morning lots of people enjoy this place to. Came here for lunch on the weekend. It was pretty busy and also a hot day (basically only outdoor seating. I got worried by the time we ordered we wouldn't find a table but thankfully it seemed like a good flow of people finishing and leaving per people sitting down. Order inside. Took a little but staff was friendly and menu has a great variety. Oh side is cutely decorated with flowers and such. Everything was tasty! It's a nice little find tucked away in the hills. An amazing experience that makes you feel you are not in a big metropolitan area. This place is nestled in the hillside of Glendale near a golf course. The food is good and very fresh. Nothing extraordinary; it is simple with the basic ingredients but full of flavor! I always have the fresh-brewed coffee or the smooth and creamy cafe latte. My friend and I visited Wild Oak Cafe because we were intrigued by their digital latte art. However, I was enticed by their rainbow latte! I ordered the rainbow latte with hazelnut flavor and my friend ordered a blended mocha frappe. We got our drinks quickly and sat down on one of their tables outside. The people were very helpful and helped clean off tables quickly as it was quite a busy morning. Although my friend and I were not very hungry and had only gotten a waffle to share, it was an excellent one and made us excited to try more! The crust of the waffle was crispy but the interior was still fluffy and soft. The berries were very fresh, which impressed me because I don't normally eat or trust fruit that is served at restaurants. My latte was delicious and the art was exquisite! I loved that the presentation of the latte made me excited to drink more and more-- I finished the latte relatively quickly even though I am a slow sipper. After we ate, my friend and I walked around the area and loved the beautiful floral decorations that made the already beautiful day even brighter! read more

I got the breakfast bowl and it was good and hot but my sister got an avocado toast, the egg on top tasted like egg water. My grandma got the breakfast plate, the toast was literally dough and not toasted at all. The service was terrible, food came like 40 minutes after we ordered on a non busy Tuesday morning. I ordered lemonade and it looked and tasted like water with a little bit of sugar. We ordered a waffle for the table and they forgot about it. We had to go remind them and we were there for 20 minutes extra because they forgot. The vibes were very good, the outside area is beautiful and there was lots of nice flowers. read more

New update from my last review...Food was just okay this time and extremely overpriced. I ordered an egg white breakfast burrito and it had no flavor and lacked salt. My husband had the regular breakfast burrito and it was just all right as well. Other than that, drinks are still good, atmosphere is still good, service is fine... I don't know what happened, I mean besides inflation, I feel like the cafe changed ownership.. might explain why the food is sub par. I think we might not be back next time. It's just so expensive for what it is and I think we'll probably try somewhere else when we're in the area. Sorry! read more

I really wanted to like this place but I am very disappointed. Found a hair in my food which was a major turn-off. Despite the decent atmosphere and okay coffee, the hygiene lapse was unacceptable. The staff didn't even seem apologetic. All she said was "It is okay I will just take it".Apparently having a hair curled up on your fries is very normal there. They messed up my order too, which is okay, it happens. But when I went to tell them they still charged half of the price for the other food. And when there was a hair on it, they took that back and never bothered to apologize nor they suggested to make another one. Hoping they step up their cleanliness game. read more

Very cute cafeteria nestled in the foothills of Glendale. Cafeteria style: line up, order, be seated. I had the Cali Bowl (roasted cauliflower + egg) which was nice and toasty and decent egg quality. I came on a Sunday at 1PM and it was very crowded. Kitchen and wait staff were on it, though. Parking: limited parking lot, but plenty of street parking Atmosphere: it's very small, but hard to miss. It looks pretty much like the pictures. Service: terrific. I actually felt the servers go out of their way to be helpful. Drinks: they are decent. I came mostly for the novelty drinks. They ran out of the cream they use for the novelty logo prints, so I settled for the foam they improvised with. Hence, the "Rulex" drink in my photo. I appreciate their creativity. Service was great. Staff friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cute with 100% outdoor under patio seating. They get super busy but push the food out fairly fast. The coffees are good with super cute designs. The downside is the food prices are very high. $19 for steak and egg sandwich with no side. This little hole in the wall was a really sweet surprise. Take a drive up Chevy Chase Dr in Glendale and you'll find this hidden gem. I ordered a wffle that, tbh, wasn't THAT spectacular (pretty simplec waffle w syrup and whipped cream and fruit which IMO is a tad bit overpriced), but the showstopper was DEF this Rainbow Latte that was so beautoful I didn't even want to drink it. This cafe is the cutest hidden gem in Glendale. I loved the service everyone was very sweet and the food was delicious! I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with the colorful latte and it was all well made. I love breakfast food and let me tell you something that breakfast burrito was phenomenal! I loved the salsa it comes with and I love how each table has the option spicy salsas to add to your food. My boyfriend ordered the egg and steak breakfast sandwich and he loved it as well. The ambiance was surrounded with nature and it was a bit cold but they also have heaters outside which kept me very warm. Overall, I will definitely be coming back :) read more

We will be back to try the other sandwiches. The only down side to our visit was buying sodas at the store. Their prices weren't listed and in my head, I expected them to be $3 or so. The Mexican Coke and small bottle of lemonade were each $6. $20 for a sandwich isn't cheap, but it price didn't make me gag--but I almost physically gagged when i saw soda prices ring up. Next time, we'll get our sandwiches to go and get drinks elsewhere.

I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. Wish the food and service were better

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at White Oak café, which I must say was one of the dirtiest cafés I have ever come across. Despite being enticed by the alluring coffee photos on Instagram, my family and I decided to venture into this unfamiliar café with hopes of establishing it as our regular breakfast spot. Our visit took place on a weekday between 2 to 3 o'clock. Upon arrival, we found that all the outdoor tables were occupied, leaving only one large table unoccupied. It seemed that a sizable group had vacated this table some time ago. Normally, if there had been an alternative café nearby, we would have promptly left. However, due to the lack of options, we found ourselves compelled to stay. Unfortunately, our initial impression of the café was marred by a series of unpleasant encounters. Despite standing around and patiently waiting, it appeared that the waitstaff and café employees were determined to overlook our presence. It was only after I personally approached an employee that we were able to secure a table. To our dismay, the table provided for us was merely a portion of the previously uncleaned large table. The staff hastily cleared away dirty dishes, but I couldn't confirm whether the table was properly wiped. To my dismay, as soon as I rested my elbows on the table's surface, they slipped due to its greasy texture. Moreover, my husband inadvertently got a piece of jam stuck to him from the table. The overall environment around the table was deplorable, with chairs strewn with debris, napkins, and disposable cutlery scattered across the floor. Given this disheartening start, I found myself deeply disinclined to dine in such unsanitary conditions. This led me to contemplate the state of their kitchen, considering the state of the dining area. In the end, we opted for a chicken sandwich and two coffees. Regrettably, our food arrived in an equally disappointing manner. The waiter delivered our order, placed it on the table, and promptly departed. Despite my request, we were left without any forks , which prompted me to venture towards the kitchen area in search of forks and ketchup for our french freis . The set of spices I took for next table because we dont have any. Astonishingly, the ketchup bottle was grimy and slippery, likely due to the residual grease and the touch of previous diners who had enjoyed fried potatoes. In light of this unsatisfactory encounter, we decided to leave the café without having eaten anything. While the coffee did possess an aesthetically pleasing foam, perfect for an Instagram photo, its taste was far from satisfactory. If you possess a high tolerance for unhygienic conditions and find discomfort easy to overlook, then perhaps White Oak might be a suitable place for your meals. As an individual who rarely pens reviews, especially negative ones, I feel compelled to break this habit due to the appalling experience I underwent. Having spent numerous years in the restaurant industry myself, I understand the challenges it entails. Nonetheless, this particular instance left me with no choice but to voice my concerns. The Wild Oak Café sits in the a safe space in the city of Glendale, and it's genuinely one of the most beautiful cafés I've visited thus far. The scenery is stunning especially this piano painting I couldn't even imagine was possible which was illustrated by @DeeBeeWhimzy_Designs. The surrounding greenery gives the space a vibrant, open, and airy atmosphere, truly full of life ｡The people around are authentic, kindhearted and hardworking, genuinely mindful of what they're putting into their bodies. There's so much passion behind the food they craft Their poached egg was honestly one of the most delicious I've ever had, sitting atop a fresh avocado salad, accompanied by a spicy mayo that paired perfectly with the toast. I was completely obsessed. I'll admit I forgot to snap a photo of their iconic rainbow latte . So I had to return a second time just to capture it! My fiance and I got the stuffed french toast, breakfast burrito, and rainbow latte during our visit. Overall everything was pretty good! I enjoyed the orange marmalade that was added to the french toast and the fresh strawberries on top. The breakfast burrito was juicy and they had a fabulous salsa to go with it. The rainbow latte was gorgeous but tasted like a normal latte - it's more to visually enjoy and get your Instagram picture. The food was good, but the price ($50 for two people, including tip) was a bit high. You order your food at the counter inside and then you have the option of taking it to go or eating on the patio. The patio was a bit on the crowded side, even on a Monday morning, and you choose your own seat rather than being told where to sit. YUM!! This place is Fantastic. I've only been twice, but the staff is so nice and friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a small case to buy a few grocery items for people that live around the area in the hills. Looks like it could of been a gas station at one time. Outside they have cute chairs and tables to eat at with heaters if it's chilly. You order at the counter. The Chicken sandwich with avocado is great and I hear a popular item. Homemade potato chips and pickled red onions come with it. All very tasty! Tried the breakfast croissant with eggs and bacon and it was delicious! Will definitely be back to try more of their items. They also have a selection of pastries and coffee to go and sell beer and wine to go. No license so you can't drink it there. Wish there were more places like this around the city. The cafe has a very homey atmosphere. Its a perfect place for any occasion. There was a group having a business meeting, a family having lunch, and a bunch of people just enjoying a great meal! I had the "ALL NATURAL GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH"! It was a perfectly grilled piece of chicken with some garlic spread, Swiss cheese, tomato and lettuce served in crispy Ciabatta bread. This location has outdoor seating only, and when we arrived, there was trash all over the floors, which gave a terrible first impression. Several tables, including ours, had not been cleaned. I had to ask multiple times (four times) for our table to be cleaned, yet staff chose to clean an empty table instead of the one we were seated at. There were at least five uncleaned tables upon our arrival, which made the entire space feel disorganized and poorly managed. I ordered from here via door dash. I was really looking forward to the vegetarian burrito. I was super sad. If you enjoy spice, to the extent that you can't taste the tofu or potatoes, then this will totally work for you. Like so many have already mentioned, this spot is the definition of a hidden gem. The location is beautiful, tons of greenery to gaze at while you eat. The food is fantastic, it looked just like the picture lol. It was a bit pricey but worth the splurge and the portions are really generous. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. I'd like to thank Cynthia in particular. She was very kind and when I mentioned it was my first time here she made me feel very welcomed and was really patient with all my questions. It turns out that she's a new hire and I was surprised and very impressed. Keep up the good work Wild Oak. I will be coming back. read more

A Great Breakfast Spot! I visited this new restaurant on a Monday morning and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything about the experience exceeded expectations. The food was absolutely on point, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. An amazing find. We went here for the first time. The menu includes breakfast/brunch items as well as salads and sandwiches which are freshly prepared. Heard great things about Wild Oak Cafe and had to try it. Apparently, the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich is very popular. Flavorful, moist turkey and the perfect amount of bacon and avocado on fresh ciabatta bread. I had a side of fresh homemade chips, but everything my friends ordered looked and tasted great. We'll be back on the weekend to try brunch, or maybe more lunch. Lovely place with great service and generally great food with generous helpings. read more

Hey there! Just wanted to share my thoughts on this place I've been to a couple of times. The food here is really good and it comes out pretty fast too. The flavors are just perfect, can't complain at all. But what I absolutely love about this place is the ambience. It's so unique that it makes you feel like you're somewhere else, even before you arrive. Here's a tip if you're planning to check it out: make sure you go there early to secure parking as it can be a bit challenging, especially during peak times. But trust me, it's totally worth a try! I live in the area and I've given this place several tries with my family. I really want to like it but unfortunately I don't . I have ordered several different items from the menu it's been average at best with extremely steep pricing I. Old gas stationed converted into a café is brilliant and definitely needed in this covid-era. Outdoor seating and table arrange of what used to be gas pumps with a nice shade. Very tasty and tender ribeye sandwich. Stuffed French toast was nice. A nice place to get away from the city street scene. They also got a decent delicious chicken and waffles, I was amazed but to me roscoe's still reigns supreme. It doesn't look like much but it tasted soooo very good! Hot food was served cold, service was slow though it was not very busy. The skirt steak was very tough and unexpected from a place with good reviews. Our order was not done as requested and though they did offer to re-do it, by the time it is served everything else gets even colder. We were hoping to find a new "go to place" that specializes in breakfast and lunch. A real shame. It is a quaint place if you want to go for coffee. If you could give a zero star i would, don't bother coming here or wasting your money! Lack of staff, lack of maintenance, shitty food and expensive asf. Its obviously the owners aint involved, and doesn't care. The tables were disgusting, floor was dirty, food is low quality (lies on organic/fresh!), only one bathroom and your looking at over an hour to sit and lets not start on the wait for your food(overpriced). If I had to make a gripe about the sandwich, it would be that all the photos show what looks like a runny, sunny side up egg inside their sandwiches. Based on their branding, I was expecting a runny egg :(. Also, when I looked at my partner's sandwich, I was struck with a bit of jealousy. His sandwich had bacon, spinach, avocado and tomato and then the same egg, chicken sausage and cheese as mine. But here's the kicker, his sandwich was only $1.50 more than mine. BUT if you look at the menu, they suggest adding hashbrowns ($2.50) or avocado ($1.95). Basically, for the cost of adding avocado, you should just get the Show Stopper or Dreams Come True cause the difference is less than the cost of just adding Avocado on its own. I don't think this is a hack at all but basically go for the pricier options cause they're all better deals than "adding" to the Classic or Sausage Redemption. Anyhow highly recommended, just don't expect a runny egg. We'll gladly be back next time we want a quick breakfast.

A manager later came over and asked them to put the dog on the floor, and that's when the couple became upset and began arguing with the manager, basically yelling. What stood out to me was that as they were leaving, the woman stopped at the host stand, asked the host her name, started yelling the name out loud and then walked out. I'm not involved with either side and can only speak to what I personally saw, but I felt the interaction deserved a little more context rather than being presented entirely one-sided. My own experience at Black Cow was very positive. However the shrieking customers I can do without.

Also, if getting a large was actually the better deal, I would have appreciated being told that. What made the interaction more frustrating was that the employee seemed distracted and dismissive while her coworker was talking to her. I ended up getting the small, even though I was confused about the pricing. The matcha itself was good, but unfortunately, because of the customer service experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I don't expect anything special--just clear communication about pricing and to be asked what size I'd like before being charged.
