    Roasted Pork Carnitas
    Roxanne I.

We were the only patrons inside so service was quick and friendly. The food is pretty decent. I think the food and flavors are definitely catered to the demographic of the area. I thought it was a little weird that the default rice of the roasted pork carnitas was brown rice. I did enjoy the Spanish rice better. Pork was nice and tender, but I do wish the meat was cooked with the sauce instead of just being placed on top of it. Beans are okay, I think I would have preferred the refried beans instead as the black beans didn't have much flavor.

Tasty!!!!!! Stopped in for an early dinner on a Wednesday and ordered the carne asada. You order at the register and the server took care of me amazingly. I sat outside and within I received the freshest salsa, chips and my beverage. The salsa was delicious and the chips were fresh and crispy. I then received my piping hot order. The carne asada was mildly seasoned and had a nice texture - seemed like it was braised. The rice was awesome and the beans weren't typical, they tasted fresh as well. With hot tortilla in hand I proceeded to make small burritos with the fresh onion, guacamole, salsa, hot sauce, rice and a little bit of beans. It was fantastic. This was a 5 star experience and I can't wait to return to try something else. Thanks for making a great meal and experience.

    Mushroom enchiladas

Met some friends here for a late lunch yesterday (6/7/2025). One of my friends is a vegetarian and her mom recommended it because their menu has a vegetarian section. I got the mushroom enchiladas and my friends got the veggie and fish burritos. Though they weren't the same caliber as their counterpart at Sideboard in Lafayette, the mushroom enchiladas were very good. My friends enjoyed their burritos and one took theirs home as they were quite large. Only downside is that they seem to guard the bathroom - when I asked where it was, I was told there was a wait. While a wait isn't unusual, what was unusual was that they wouldn't let me go back to where the bathroom is and wait for someone to come out. Because the person i asked couldn't give me an estimated time of the wait, I decided to use it at the coffee shop we went to afterwards. Friendly service - our waters were filled regular and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I'd come back if in the area to try more items!

First time trying this place in a new town. I chose to sit outside in the sun since it was a lovely day out. The gentleman who waited on me was very kind and checked on me frequently. I am a sucker for flautas de papa and when I saw on the menu that they had potato enchiladas too, I was torn and didn't know which one to order. The server recommended the taquitos to me so I went with that. The order came with four and I was full off of two, very filling. Would definitely come back to try the potato enchiladas next time. I'm sure they're just as yummy. I also got their refreshing lemonade which paired nicely with the sun outside :)

My husband and I were looking for somewhere new to eat and found this place in downtown Pleasanton. The sign is a bit hidden but the store is located between Peet's coffee and Almare Gelato. There are a few tables in doors and some outdoor seating available as well. We ordered the chicken and shrimp enchiladas and mango habanero steak. The steak was definitely quite spicy but both dishes were delicious! Service was great and we enjoyed the casual dining atmosphere.

This place was very good. Easy to walk by it, and small inside, but great food and nice employees. Parking was pretty easy - just had to walk a block. We were seated right away, and had no wait. Their menu features a great variety with "healthier" options. Their dishes came with brown rice, black beans, etc Everything we had was delicious! *The asada fries came with Guac, red onion, sauces, and a good amount of meat! *my chicken and shrimp enchiladas were yummy and came in a creamy sauce. *the taquitos were crispy and delicious. Overall, great experience.

I've had this saved in my Yelp bookmarks for a WHILE, and finally... it was time to test out Wild One! Like other reviewers have mentioned, this is a healthy spin on Mexican cuisine... Very LA circa 2012 kind of vibes. We tried- Nachos (6/10): There is no cheese, which for me is okay (I'm just not a cheese girly), but for my dining partner that was an absolute violation of Nacho Law. I enjoyed the creama, pretty guac drizzle, and fresh veggies, however something with oomph was needed... either a spicy salsa or a whole ton of flavorful guac. I wouldn't order again. Carne Asada.... Fries??? (8/10): We ordered the carne asada fries, and I believe the carne asada plate was served (or else the fries just don't come with fries???) BUT, this was the shining star of the meal... sooo juicy, so flavorful- SO much flavor! Delicious! This is your must order. Camerones California (5/10): Nothing was bad, but nothing was great... Looking at another reviewers picture, I was hoping for blackened shrimp (in my opinion, the most underrated kind of shrimp). Instead, I received lightly grilled shrimp with no seasoning. The fresh veggies and brown rice were a healthy alternative to the tradition Mexican fare, but they were awfully bland. The salad on the side with a blue cheese dressing was the only flavor found in my plate, and I had to use it in my bites to bring my mouth some joy. Service (8/10): The young man who took care of us was very polite and genuine. He was completely overwhelmed to be solo with a party of 12 along with two other tables at the ripe time of 4pm, but him and the cook handled it as best as we could have hoped for. Ambiance (8/10): I would come back just for the patio! Cute tables spaced apart, just off the sidewalk... perfect for a romantic but semi-casual date night. Try the gelato place next door afterwards!

Happy customer with chicken and shrimp enchiladas. Order this; the dish is divine.

We recently tried this place for the first time for my mother-in-law's 82nd birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was attentive and excellent, the food was creatively designed, beautifully prepared and delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy a delightful summer evening together. Wild One was an unexpected treat and amazing experience all around. Thank you for helping to make this fun and memorable birthday for my wonderful mother-in-law.

Located in Pleasanton downtown, ample space for indoor and outdoor seating. Went for a weekday lunch not crowded at all and it was a very quick service, I got the fajitas and my partner got the chicken plate - loved the spinach noodle cake Overall a decent place for a date

This was my first time here and the food was amazing. It took awhile to decide what to order, I opted for the Wild One Nachos. I love nachos and this didn't disappoint, loaded with beans, onions, sour cream, chicken, guacamole, pico de gallo, cotija cheese, and avocado sauce. The chicken was an add on and extra, I believe $3 extra. The nachos were tasty with a slight spicy kick. We had the popular red citrus sangria that wasn't too sweet. The food was delicious as well as the tasty refreshing cocktail. The service was prompt, friendly, the ambiance quiet and the restaurant small in space. Our server/host was prompt and pleasant.

    Please disregard the marginal company...
    Greg S.

Quick update....count the number of drinks in this photo. Would not keep ordering these Sangrias if they were not stellar! Of course the chow is too:)

As expected, the service here was friendly and quick. Rather than order takeout, we actually had a meal inside this time. Their vibe is a cozy neighborhood spot, that's great for groups of all sizes. I was really tempted to order a lot of the different items on their pretty large menu, but I've been on a health kick so I wanted to try their healthy burrito. This comes with lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and rice and beans. I used a good amount of their salsa from their self-service salsa bar. I thought the burrito was tasty and it felt a lot healthier. Even though next time, I'll probably get one of their more indulgent selections lol Parking isn't an issue as they have a pretty large lot allocated to the shops in the shopping center

Rating: 3/5 Stars I…read morereally wanted to love this place, but the experience was a bit of a roller coaster. The asada tacos were easily the highlight--solid 8/10 and definitely the "hit" of the meal. The carnitas were decent (around a 5 or 6), and while the salsa verde was good, the other salsas lacked a deep, authentic sabor. However, as a Mexican who knows my beans, the refried beans were a major disappointment. They tasted like they came straight from a can and had a strange oil flavor that just didn't sit right. Pro Tip: Ask for extra lime and cilantro. They tend to go heavy on the onions but light on the greens. Their Chile de Árbol is great, but you'll need at least 4 or 5 limes to really bring the flavors out! the customer service was a 10/10 :) thanks ladies

She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

The so called basket of complimentary chips were stale and had and were being heated under a heat lamp. Unfortunately, they have a fly problem, I had to shew away a couple of flies several times while eating. One thing that causes this that they keep their from dual entrance doors open which is a No No. Of course flies are attracted and come inside. Lastly the churros they almost forgot that I ordered it, I had to remind them. They were unfortunately the worst churros very hard barrel edible.
