Swanky new triangle spot in the Marina/Cow Hollow. Interior bar was elegant but we chose to eat outside. Outdoor table quality could be better. However there were multiple heaters for comfort. The servers from seating to wait staff were amazing people. Patient, professional and attentive. Bone marrow dish was delightful but could have used a second bone. Mussels done French style were creamy and flavorful. We also had the tartare dish which was well done with tangy avocado. We ordered too much food which is the best sign of a rocking menu. Recommend the place for the quality of food and cocktails...in spite of its situational location near the white rabbit which started to get crazy towards the end of our outdoor meal. read more

I came here for restaurant week and they were one of few options that had seating for a large group available, with options for vegetarians. I super loved the guitar cheese appetizer and the chocolate cake dessert was yummy too. But my main dish (shrimp curry) was very forgettable and everyone said that of their main courses too. It was pretty pricey for what it was ($60 pp after tip/tax). It's also more of a bar vibe than a restaurant, which was not the impression I got from the pictures initially. I really like this restaurant the decor is really cool - artwork of animals dressed in classy clothes and a flower wall and comfortable seating. I got the kale Caesar lightly blackened salad with chicken (including grilled dark meat) and it was amazing. I usually don't get salads in restaurants but it was really good also the short ribs delicious. And apparently they have cocktails of the month and it's watermelon (fresh) margarita for this month so I will be returning very soon! Went here on a Friday night and the hostess was amazing! We showed up with two extra people and she was able to accommodate us! Our waitress was very average, brought the wrong drink order and told us to just have them but yet still charged us for it. Then dropped the receipt and did not mention that the gratuity was already included on our check when the receipt conveniently had tipping suggestions on the bottom of the receipt. Highly disappointed. Only reason for 2 stars was because the burger was delicious. read more

The stars are for the wonderful hostess, Mia . She was super friendly and accommodating. Rest of the experience at Wilder was one big "it was just OK" at the very most. Ordered the gummy frose drinks and although pretty, taste or lack thereof was disappointing. So we ordered the pineapple bowl, and although pretty, tasted watered down. For food, I ordered the baked salmon toast . And although visually appealing, it was very dry. Our server (Asian dude) was also just ok. Took our orders which we got pretty efficiently but we never saw him the rest of the time we wait. He made no effort to check on us. I believe we had a second waiter (bearded white guy) who was also pretty lackluster. Experience was not horrid but it wasn't memorable either. read more

Like I promised you guys, this is an update on my previous review. My husband and I decided to stop by on a Friday at around 5:30pm to give this place a second chance, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint us. We arrived without reservation and surprisingly there wasn't much people in there, so we asked for a table in the back since we had our stroller with us and we didn't want to disturb anyone, the hostess was super helpful and friendly and she was able to give us what we asked and a lil more. For appetizers we asked for oysters which in happy hour was $1 each! What a great deal. The tuna tartare looked amazing but was lacking some flavor tbh 3/5 The burrata and crostini was one of my favorites, the pesto sauce added that extraordinary flavor to the dish 5/5 For our main course we ordered: Chimichurri steak, was well cooked but it lacked some flavor 4/5 Steamed pork belly buns were tasty as well, so definitely recommended it. 5/5 Drinks were amazing, We had The chupacabras 5/5 The road runner 5/5 The basil gimlet 5/5 Customer service was great, our server was friendly and Angel our bartender was very friendly and attentive. Wilder is BY FAR my new favorite spot in the Bay. I am absolutely obsessed with their Cesar salad, it is so unique and delicious. They also have so many other apps that are fantastic and don't get me started about the cocktails. I was actually there for brunch and football on Sunday and they had bottomless wings for $15 that were amazing. This spot is a must try, you wont be disappointed. read more

The infamous triangle has added a real gem in Wilder, opened in 2020, at 3154 Fillmore street. While it shares the intersection with a perhaps more infamous cafe, this bar and restaurant aims to take its own place amongst the best that the city has to offer. An excellent layout of tables, inside and out, lends to a smooth and easy transition between the eating area and the long bar. The drink and food menu both have much to offer and are made and served with a care and flair that is rare to see in the city these days. The staff were all eager and willing to answer questions and everyone seemed to be working together toward a common goal. It was a refreshing experience that begs us to return again, soon! Cocktails were excellent and made with care. The servers were very attentive and if not knowledgeable themselves, willing to take time to find out! Food was just as pleasant to the eye as it was to the palate and the dessert was also worth the calorie count! Hope the pictures do it justice. read more

came here for restaurant week and we were so excited to try this place! unfortunately the food was absolutely inedible and incredibly small portions.. the only saving grace was the dirty martini. I ordered the salad as my main and it was barely the size of a side salad (photo with hand for size). Our party also got the mussels which were very over cooked. The burger was advertised as 2 4oz patties but it was definitely only one. We were hopeful for the warm chocolate cake with espresso whipped cream but the cake was cold and was clearly served with reddi whip. The cheesecake was also barely a silver and tasted store bought. The service was also pretty poor but I think it's because they were understaffed. We definitely won't be coming back. read more

This was a great restaurant. Easy to get a table and the staff was extremely attentive. They brought over everything right when we asked. The food was fantastic. We got the potatoes bravas which were fantastic. The frozé was excellent and they put gummy bears in it. They even gave us extras! Staff was also very friendly. They had heaters as well outside. The food was pretty good. But the service was awful! The waitress took our order and then we never saw her again for the rest of our dinner experience. We had to ask the kitchen server and the hostess multiple times for things we needed, such as napkins and silverware which were not provided. When the appetizers came they didn't provide plates. When the main entrées came, we asked for condiments which they didn't bring and we asked three times. They also never brought more water and a member of our party ordered a ginger beer at the beginning and it never arrived, but they still charged us for the beverage. We finally had to ask the hostess for the bill and she checked us out. Like I said the waitress never returned to our table not once after taking our order. The worst service! read more

THIS NEW SPOT IS ON-POINT!!! All around incredible experience. The drink menu is not too extensive, but covers all the liquor types from vodka, whiskey, gin to tequila. The food menu is a little limited, however ALL the items we ordered were prepared PERFECTLY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SHRIMP APPETIZER. As for the staff and service, 5! They were extremely attentive and on top of it at all times. They are following all the "COVID" guidelines to the fullest making the experience a safe and comfortable environment. I tried to voice my concern about not being served and the MANAGER told me he would check the CAMERAS because he didn't believe how long I had been waiting at the bar. Had to come to SF for medical reasons so wanted to go out and have a nice dinner. Tried calling the restaurant to confirm they were open at 7pm on a Sunday night. Their website says they close at 9pm. No able person answered my calls. Decided to Uber over and take a chance, yes and indeed they were open but the kitchen was closed. It should be posted that your kitchen closes an hour before closing time. We ended up having dinner directly across the street at the Balboa Cafe and we ended up having some of the most delicious food ever. read more

My friends and I came here as a stop on our night out. We needed to use the restroom and we thought we could hang out inside for a while. One of the bouncers demanded that we gave him our IDs and we would not get them back unless we ALL purchased drinks. There was no line and we were not an inconvenience to them. We felt very uncomfortable and targeted as young women. A female staff member got the manager and we were able to retrieve our IDs. Overall very disappointed and my friends and I expected more from a San Francisco establishment. read more

Went here with my wife on a Sunday mid-afternoon. The place was busy but we were seated promptly at the bar. Staff is super friendly and makes you feel very welcomed. Shane is the best bartender! The drinks were amazing especially the Smokey George. If you're a whiskey drinker and enjoys a good old fashion drink once in a while, you'll definitely want to try this. The wood chips they use creates a smoke aroma that you can taste hints of it within the drink. My wife order the smoked brisket hash and I ordered cajun curry tiger prawns. Both dishes were delicious. The smoke brisket was cooked over 12 hours and you can tell. My only issue with this dish was one piece of meat was a bit cold in the middle. It had just the right amount of flavor without it being to salty. The cajun curry tiger prawns are spectacular. If you like curry, definitely try this. The cajun spices compliments the curry quite well and you're going to want to put that sauce on every part of the entrée. Will go back soon. read more

Place is totally cute, and a great spot in terms of decor. I ordered the quesadilla and it was yummy. Sister got a caesar salad that she was pleased with. Everything was yummy. Frosé was not ready despite it being half past noon which was annoying. I got a Roadrunner instead, and the drink wasn't full in the glass so it was not very... aesthetic. The server wasn't very friendly or attentive. The guy who brought our plates/collected them was super friendly so it made up! Friendly staff though maybe need a bit more staff - understandable given current circumstances. Wine was great.
