This place is great for gluten free. They have a full dedicated menu and know how to modify everything on the menu (that they can) to make gluten free. The waiters are super knowledgeable and it was great. The place itself is also really nice on the inside with an upscale but comfortable feel. The French onion soup was made gluten free and was really good. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The steaks were cooked the way we asked, the only negative is that they had basically no seasoning so they were insanely plain tasting (not in a good way). The hands down best thing we had was the flourless chocolate cake. That thing was soooooo good. Rich, moist and flavorful. I would 10000% go back simply for that cake.

Visited Wildfire with some out of town family on our last night in Chicago and it couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was amazing and made our night - he was knowledgeable of the menu and very fun to interact with. The interior is that of a classic steakhouse with beautiful woodwork and open dining room seating. Everyone enjoyed their food and sampling each other's meals and each being better than the last was the best part! There are a lot of good restaurants in Chicago and this is definitely one of them!

Made last minute reservations for 8 on a Saturday night. Was seated immediately and the table was set up for us. The restaurant was more empty than I'd expect for a nice steakhouse at 7:00 pm. Our server was fantastic and our meal was wonderful. I ordered the filet trio special and had (2) medallions topped with blue cheese and one with mushroom. Both cooked to perfection. I had the veggies as a side and wasn't a fan. My husband had the ribeye and thought it was fantastic! Overall good experience!

First time trying wildfire, the house bread was warm and soft but I personally am not a huge fan of bagel seasonings but still enjoyable. We had drinks as well and they were strong , truthfully probably not the best presentation or taste wise just not worth $17bucks a drink. Food, I had lamb chops and scallops with Mac and cheese plus veggies and salad. I really enjoyed the veggies and scallops with bacon were super tasty. Lamb chops were a ok... they just weren't super earthy as other lamb chops tend to be. Overall taste for entire dinner I'd say 6.5/10. The service was awesome everyone was welcoming and the vibes were super chill and clam. Our server was super kind and helpful when walking us through menu.

For some reason and i'll explain my experience here just wasn't a pleasant one, my steak arrived and seconds later it was cold, the cream spinach wasn't tasteful, and i was disappointed with my drink. I have eaten at Wild fire before but in Oakbrook, the downtown didn't offer me the experience i expected. The service was slow and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The ambiance was quiet and relaxing.

Had a date night here and I would say it was just okay. We were pretty much the only couple of people in the restaurant upon arrival which was interesting to see. We chose this place because I had a Lettuce Eats deal and we were hungry haha The steak ofc was the best thing we ordered but even then it was just alright.. my boyfriend really enjoyed his though - classic. I want to emphasize the sides... terrible. I think their sides need to be totally revamped/ looked at/ changed... whatever. Their mac & cheese was disgusting and I mean that sadly. The waitress even warned us but I didn't want to believe her cause I was in the mood for some lol and she was SO RIGHT. The mashed potatoes were fine. The cream of spinach was SO bland.. my goodness! The calamari actually was the star of the whole show.. loved. The soup was good too but nothing crazy memorable. Overall we were in and out and just happy we were full.

My colleagues and I tried this restaurant while in town. It was nice because we were a big party and they had no issue accommodating us with hardly any notice. The service was great! I had the special which was the Delmonico steak with baked Mac n cheese as the side. Didn't much care for the Mac n cheese. Didn't seem like it was baked at all, just pasta and cheese stirred together. But the steak was amazing!! We enjoyed ourselves, so on that note I would go back. I'll just have a different side next time.

The food was alright. The Shrimp and Lobster Bisque was great. From there, my main entrée came and everything looked good. The cut of ribeye steak I received was a bit fattier than I like. The red skin mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were good, once I added salt and pepper. I washed it down with a Mexican Mule (not pictured). Overall, it's a solid restaurant with a solid experience. I'd go back, but I may order a different protein.

I actually love coming to eat early because the servers are a little more attentive since they just started their shift and the service is a little faster as there are less tables. Let me tell you, though, whatever we came it was quite busy with graduations and family dinners-which I didn't mind at all! What ate a relatively large meal as I had eaten a smaller lunch. We started off with the wedge salad and a yellowtail sushi roll. The wedge salad was pretty average, but the dressing was really delicious. The yellowtail was also pretty good and the jalapeño topping gave an extra kick last minute. For the entrées, we ordered the scallops as well as the pan seared Chilean Seabass. The scallops are buttery, rich, and had a perfect crispy crust. The Seabass was flaky and light-overall a very good combination of flavors. We got a side of the broccolini and then the crème brûlée and a piece of Keylime pie to go. Overall a very filling and delicious meal-I was pleasantly surprised with the scallops and how light the sea bass was.

A seafood birthday dinner has become her tradition, can't say I'm upset about this!! We started off with drinks! Two of us got the Floral Cloud and the other two got the salty air margarita! The salty foam (replacing the traditional salt rim) was perfection!! The presentation of the floral cloud was so cute! For starters we got the patatas bravas, 10/10 would recommend!! The sauce was delicious!! I personally got the poke bowl, it was love at first bite!! While it may not look like a huge portion I was only able to finish 3/4 of it. Shared with the after in an attempt to save room for dessert!! Two of my friends got the scallops and the other got the lobster roll. Scallops were delicious, they shared a bite with me! The lobster roll left me a bit unsatisfied. While it had plenty of meat it lacked lasting flavor!! Now let's talk about the MVP's of the night- Dessert! HIGHLY recommend the key lime pie if you're a fan! It also includes some of that salt foam! The sticky toffee was a huge hit at our table!! And the passion fruit in the flan was a very yummy add on!! The waiter misheard my order so I didn't get my right entree the first time but they were super kind, quick, and accommodating to bring out my correct order. The food was AMAZING! We shared the tuna tartar as an appetizer and it was one of the best things i've tried! The presentation was also so fun and pretty, served inside a coconut with plantain chips on the side. I ordered the lobster roll and it was so so so amazing, definitely best i've ever had. The bun was toasted and buttery and the lobster filled with flavor.. I could eat 5 of them!! They also had brought seasoned corn nuts to the table when we were seated and salted caramels for dessert, both fun and yummy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bit of a nicer dinner in Chicago. We had a reservation on a Saturday night and it looked like the place was full, we were glad we had one and got seated right away.

Available only in the bar area, we were able to find a table for two inside by the windows, in spite of it being very packed. Our server was quick to approach our table, even though hubs had wandered over to the bar to order. After I summoned him back, we ordered a couple of Stellas, a Filet Slider and Baked Goat Cheese; each item was $5 on the HH menu. A few minutes later, Hubs waved over our server again to order 4 oysters, which were BOGO during HH. Upon her suggestion, he chose the smaller East Coast oysters. He told me they were really good and he was happy with his choice. I had two good bites of the filet slider & was delighted at how delicious it was. The piece of meat was quite large, especially for $5! Thick & juicy, it was cooked perfectly medium rare. The slider was plated with lots of crispy string fries that were very tasty. Our other app, the baked goat cheese, was served atop a skillet of tomato sauce with four pieces of toasted bread. This was also a delicious plate. Service was very on-point, and we never felt rushed, even after Happy Hour ended. At some point, the pianist arrived & we enjoyed a rousing selection of yacht rock tunes as we finished our beers. My favorite piece of ambiance was the steampunk-powered ceiling fans, even though they probably did very little to circulate the air. The decor was vintage travel, which I loved! I'll definitely return to Hugo's again, at least for Happy Hour, the next time I'm in Chicago's Gold Coast area.

That's not ambience, that's a liability. The seafood "tower" is a plate. A good plate -- tastiest thing we ate -- but when the menu says tower, you expect something vertical. The mac and cheese, however, is genuinely outstanding. It alone justified getting dressed up. The steaks did not. One overcooked, one undercooked. At a steakhouse. At $300 a person, give or take. Then the bill arrived with a 3.5% "Emp. Benefits" surcharge -- unannounced, undisclosed, not on the menu, or website. Server said it was a 'credit card processing fee'. At this price point, padding the bill with a hidden fee and dressing it up as charity isn't charming. It's deceptive. Just price your food honestly. Come for the mac and cheese and order the double seafood plate, if you can afford it. Bring a flashlight. Read your bill carefully.
