Porterhouse*

This place is great for gluten free. They have a full dedicated menu and know how to modify everything on the menu (that they can) to make gluten free. The waiters are super knowledgeable and it was great. The place itself is also really nice on the inside with an upscale but comfortable feel. The French onion soup was made gluten free and was really good. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The steaks were cooked the way we asked, the only negative is that they had basically no seasoning so they were insanely plain tasting (not in a good way). The hands down best thing we had was the flourless chocolate cake. That thing was soooooo good. Rich, moist and flavorful. I would 10000% go back simply for that cake.

Visited Wildfire with some out of town family on our last night in Chicago and it couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was amazing and made our night - he was knowledgeable of the menu and very fun to interact with. The interior is that of a classic steakhouse with beautiful woodwork and open dining room seating. Everyone enjoyed their food and sampling each other's meals and each being better than the last was the best part! There are a lot of good restaurants in Chicago and this is definitely one of them!

Made last minute reservations for 8 on a Saturday night. Was seated immediately and the table was set up for us. The restaurant was more empty than I'd expect for a nice steakhouse at 7:00 pm. Our server was fantastic and our meal was wonderful. I ordered the filet trio special and had (2) medallions topped with blue cheese and one with mushroom. Both cooked to perfection. I had the veggies as a side and wasn't a fan. My husband had the ribeye and thought it was fantastic! Overall good experience!

First time trying wildfire, the house bread was warm and soft but I personally am not a huge fan of bagel seasonings but still enjoyable. We had drinks as well and they were strong , truthfully probably not the best presentation or taste wise just not worth $17bucks a drink. Food, I had lamb chops and scallops with Mac and cheese plus veggies and salad. I really enjoyed the veggies and scallops with bacon were super tasty. Lamb chops were a ok... they just weren't super earthy as other lamb chops tend to be. Overall taste for entire dinner I'd say 6.5/10. The service was awesome everyone was welcoming and the vibes were super chill and clam. Our server was super kind and helpful when walking us through menu.

For some reason and i'll explain my experience here just wasn't a pleasant one, my steak arrived and seconds later it was cold, the cream spinach wasn't tasteful, and i was disappointed with my drink. I have eaten at Wild fire before but in Oakbrook, the downtown didn't offer me the experience i expected. The service was slow and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The ambiance was quiet and relaxing.

Had a date night here and I would say it was just okay. We were pretty much the only couple of people in the restaurant upon arrival which was interesting to see. We chose this place because I had a Lettuce Eats deal and we were hungry haha The steak ofc was the best thing we ordered but even then it was just alright.. my boyfriend really enjoyed his though - classic. I want to emphasize the sides... terrible. I think their sides need to be totally revamped/ looked at/ changed... whatever. Their mac & cheese was disgusting and I mean that sadly. The waitress even warned us but I didn't want to believe her cause I was in the mood for some lol and she was SO RIGHT. The mashed potatoes were fine. The cream of spinach was SO bland.. my goodness! The calamari actually was the star of the whole show.. loved. The soup was good too but nothing crazy memorable. Overall we were in and out and just happy we were full.

My colleagues and I tried this restaurant while in town. It was nice because we were a big party and they had no issue accommodating us with hardly any notice. The service was great! I had the special which was the Delmonico steak with baked Mac n cheese as the side. Didn't much care for the Mac n cheese. Didn't seem like it was baked at all, just pasta and cheese stirred together. But the steak was amazing!! We enjoyed ourselves, so on that note I would go back. I'll just have a different side next time.

Shrimp & Crab Bisque

The food was alright. The Shrimp and Lobster Bisque was great. From there, my main entrée came and everything looked good. The cut of ribeye steak I received was a bit fattier than I like. The red skin mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were good, once I added salt and pepper. I washed it down with a Mexican Mule (not pictured). Overall, it's a solid restaurant with a solid experience. I'd go back, but I may order a different protein.

Love the martini flight and the filet medallions! The cream of spinach is delicious. Expensive, but worth it.

Miesal, our waiter, professional, intelligent, charming made our steak dinner wonderful. Wife was going with the small filet, I had decided I was going to go with skirt steak, he politely suggested the WR special steak and splitting it. Perfect amount for the 2 of us. They also had a wonderful person working in the men's bathroom and he was a gem. Our daughter spilled a bit on her shirt and one of the servers had a Tide pen. The negative: for a restaurant where you going to spend over $100 a person, we had to ask twice for water refills, in fact one time we asked the manager and he had to track down our servers. The seating is just ok, it's pretty loud as your on top of each other really. The steak was above average but not great. They seems to char the outside see pictures and it was fairly bland, got the filet. Salad was drowned with dressing and had virtually nothing other than 2 average cheap grape tomatoes. The sides were just ok. I wanted to be blown away as Chicago is "known" for their steaks, the waiter even said they had their own rating. Meh... After eating twice in Vegas this month and getting wagyu I guess I'm spoiled. Go once to get the experience.

She absolutely fell in love with the place and said she was having a great birthday. She wasn't planting seeds, I swear, but our server, ever the professional, said he'd take care of us. And he did, punctuating our dinner with a wonderful dessert with a birthday candle. Speaking of candles, the focaccia appetizer came out with a lit candle that melts a tasty, buttery dipping sauce. I had work done at the dentist earlier, so I had a hard time eating. Every bite was painful, but I heated up our leftovers and fell in love with my rigatoni with vodka sauce all over again. Yum. The only drawback is the prices. We're not rich, but we love a great experience. We understand that an experience like that comes with a price, so we'll be back as much as we can.

The good: Salad was amazing with bits of nicely cooked pork belly mixed in and the salad dressing is to die for Focaccia bread was very good but nothing special but the bone tarrow butter was fantastic and carried this bread. Brussel sprouts were flavorful but greasy and overcooked... Beef cheek ragu noodle dish was heavy yet tasty.. Rib eye steak done medium rare was fatty and very very chewy so this was a complete fail, but seasoned very well...extra 10 bucks for some dipping sauce for the steak but worth getting to elevate the steak...Definitely don't do any steak under medium here... Lemon sorbet was the true winner of the night...Delicious without being too tart..... Overall like I said, not worth the $250 price tag before tip...._

The food started with a complementary potato soup which was flavorful and lovely. We got a round of drinks and one of our party didn't care for her drink and it was replaced no question. We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. It was a nice cap to the end of a wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion - I would love to come back and try some of the other items on their menu.

Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. All the accompanying condiments were exceptional on their own and could have functioned as their own course. The Japchae glass noodles were a stunner. The real sleeper was the chopped lettuce greens tossed in their chili vinaigrette. Could have eaten 20 bowls of those lettuce greens. Sadly, I forgot the name of our server who cooked and cut our meat for us. She really added to the experience. She expertly prepared our food while maintaining a fun and pleasant conversation with us. The meat itself, my goodness, tender, smoky, quality-forward, and perfect served with the condiments. That's not ambience, that's a liability. The seafood "tower" is a plate. A good plate -- tastiest thing we ate -- but when the menu says tower, you expect something vertical. The mac and cheese, however, is genuinely outstanding. It alone justified getting dressed up. The steaks did not. One overcooked, one undercooked. At a steakhouse. At $300 a person, give or take. Then the bill arrived with a 3.5% "Emp. Benefits" surcharge -- unannounced, undisclosed, not on the menu, or website. Server said it was a 'credit card processing fee'. At this price point, padding the bill with a hidden fee and dressing it up as charity isn't charming. It's deceptive. Just price your food honestly. Come for the mac and cheese and order the double seafood plate, if you can afford it. Bring a flashlight. Read your bill carefully. Shorts and hoodies are OK, web-site's "dress chic" requirement is a joke.
