My husband and I love the Wildflower Cafe. It is a great option for breakfast or lunch or brunch ;) We especially like the Wildflower omelet, the gluten free strawberry pancakes, the Wildflower chicken sandwich, and the Wildflower club. I came here with my husband on a Saturday morning and would love to be able to give it a 3.5 but as I can't justify it being given a 4, I need to give it a 3 and here's why: Parking: this place is located on PCH and their small parking lot has been converted to accommodate additional outdoor seating so we were left to find residential parking and had to walk a bit. Not a problem for two people in their 30s but if you have someone with difficulties walking or children, it might be best to drop them off. Wait Time: No host/hostess here - just check in on the tablet in front and see how many other people are in front of you, which was convenient. Our wait time was predicted to be 7-10 minutes but we were seated in less than 2! We were happily surprised by this because many other places would be more crowded on a Saturday morning around 9ish. Service: We were seated on their outdoor patio and though it was an overcast morning, the heat lamps kept us warm. Our service was super friendly and prompt - though my husband pointed out we didn't have one single server so it was hard to know who we were tipping. Food: I ordered the Wildflower Two's with a small stack of buttermilk pancakes and my husband got the Eggs Benedict. We also ordered a large glass of OJ (freshly-squeezed! Yum!) and the Tiger Spice Chai Tea. The food was good. Can I say it was standout amazing? No - and that is why I can't give it a 4 star. Though I will say the portions were a decent size and each came with fruit and potatoes. The MOCA latte was really delicious. The blueberry pancakes had real blueberries inside but the outside was kind of dry and not the best soft pancakes. We also got the wildflower omelette. The potatoes that came with the dish were good and the eggs needed more seasoning. It didn't have much flavor except for the basil which I loved. This place has a small indoor dining area. There is an outdoor dining area but it was cold when we were there so I didn't want to sit outside. The indoor seating is limited . Service was good and the food was average. I didn't see a parking lot but since it was early, I found a spot on the street. It might be hard to find parking once it gets busy. We got the orange cream smoothie as I was craving a regular smoothie but that wasn't an option surprisingly, I requested less sugar and it arrived still quite sweet but a nice treat still. I got the wildflower twos with turkey sausage that were smaller than expected and the wildflower stack that was a bit disappointing as the strawberry slices weren't that fresh, were super small and there was just not enough 'freshness' in the pancakes for me to want to finish it. We also got the sunrise sandwich and it was standard fare, nothing special about it, wished the fruit cup wasn't a majority of melon though. I had a moment after my and my little doggies walk at the pier and beach. We were both hungry and tired, so I luckily found this place to try out. I had the pancake special with two pancakes, eggs, turkey sausage, and potatoes and fruit. It was a lot to eat! As a gluten free by medical request, I had the gluten free pancakes. At first I thought they were pretty big and hard, but when I realized it was rice flour in it, I understood (iykyk). The taste and texture of the gluten free pancakes was spot on! These have to be some of the best gf pancakes in LA. I was really impressed and happy. I couldn't eat all the food, so I shared the gas with my little Wallace and finished off one pancake, half the eggs, and all three or four turkey sausages. It was a perfect brunch and meal for the day. As a drink, I had the vanilla latte with oat milk and it was divine! I really liked it. The service was great and everyone was really helpful. I sat quickly because it was just me and the doggie. They have a small patio that is covered and walkers in from the public sidewalk. I didn't give four stars because there was a little incident with the latte, but the manager made up for it by giving me one to go and I am happy with that. He offered to refund my money, but the latte and food was so good, I chose to have another latte to put in the fridge at home. Yes, I will drink it cold tomorrow-best of both worlds. I recommend this place for any and everyone in the area. I ate and left, but there was a guy next to me drinking coffee and reading a book. I think he was spending the morning there. The staff and manager never asked him to leave or anything. I was shocked cuz lots of places have time limits now and there definitely were people pouring in and waiting on a seat.
