Disclaimer straight up: Wildflower sent me a gift card, which I used for this lunch. That creates some bias, but it also made me hyper-critical through the whole experience, as I did want to write a balanced review. It's the holiday season and the shopping center around Wildflower Bread was bustling. I wasn't surprised to find the restaurant's seating mostly full--which was fine, as I was doing take-out. I had two people ahead of me in line but only had to stand there for maybe a minute. I ordered a chicken pistachio pomegranate salad and a bear claw to go. I was given the bear claw right away. I stood back by the drink dispenser, as there was no seating, and to my shock I waited all of two minutes before I was called for my salad. Considering the busy-ness, that was really something. I arrived home, famished. I rarely get take-out, in part because something is usually left out. I was happy to open my paper bag and find everything there. The two chunks of Vienna bread were just what artisan bread should be: a crust with tender toughness, with a chewy, perfect interior. The chicken pistachio salad itself had an odd mix that worked in a surprising way. I never would have paired kalamata olives with oranges, but it ends up with a sweet/sour dynamic. The onions were a little strong, but everything else was just right in flavor and texture: feta, mixed cabbage, chopped pistachios, very fresh and flavorful chicken, and a dressing that was of good sweetness. I tried only a small piece of the bear claw--the rest was for my husband, who greatly enjoyed it with his coffee. This was one huge pastry! It's a meal unto itself. This visit to Wildflower Bread Company reminds me that I should visit much more often. I can't really find anything bad to say about it, even when I try. read more

The Chipotle Chicken Melt was absolutely AMAZING! Isaac was amazing taking our order, the food came out in a very timely manner..and it looked exactly like the picture! How often does that happen? I just had the Triple Club and a side of Elote. Scrumptious! Delicious! Delightful! The flavors were Fabulous My tummy is full (very full), and my tastebuds are Happy My waitress Diana, was lovely and had a new pot of coffee made for me in spite of it being late in the afternoon, and kept an eye on my things when I had to run off to the ladies room. My meal was exactly what I needed after having fasting bloodwork and a Dr appointment. I must remember to stop by more often and do so specifically to eat here. read more

My wife and I with some friends go to the Wildflower after Saturday evening mass for dinner. So far everything I have had there has been great and reasonably priced. There soups are outstanding and when served in the bread bowl, even better. I recommend the WILDFLOWER for excellent light lunches and dinners. read more

Looked for a quiet spot to have coffee and a pastry, coffee was pretty good, service was alright and pastries are amazing! Sat in a both close to restrooms, could smell cleaning products from that booth, noise from waiters moving dishes around each through this area as well so I would set across the room from there next time. So I come in 1st time and she was absolutely wonderful explained everything talk to me asked me what kind of coffee I want milk the whole 9 yd I felt so welcome The manager was so kind and said if I mention her name they will reward the replies I think that is absolutely fabulous any business that does that is worth spending your money at. The coffee was delicious and so was the protein bowl and so was the parfait. And our beautiful young lady that greeted us was so kind to replace my coffee I went next door to get my nails done drop my coffee in the foot water of my pedicure brought it back she replaced it we had a laugh about it and because of that I will return and spend my money at this business.! read more

Out-of-towner looking for a quick lunch spot in the area, and glad we happened upon Wildflower. Felt like a Panera but a step up in terms of quality and creativity. Food was very good -- we tried the heirloom tomato chicken salad (a summer special, I think), the turkey breast & brie sandwich, and the chicken parmesan. We'd get all three again. Service was fast and they were able to make modifications due to an allergy, no problem. There were a few people ahead of us in line at prime lunchtime on a Saturday, but the line moved quickly. read more

This sandwiches, salad, and bakery is a great way to grab something light for lunch. There's definitely something to satisfy any appetite. I went for a turkey salad that included green salad, Caramelized pecans and potatoes. It was refreshing and light, including also bread. If you have been to Panera bread, this restaurant will be in your comfort zone. However, it didn't feel quite as healthy since they don't include calories and some of their items were not as healthy looking. But, I felt right at home reading the menu. My other friend had the butternut squash ravioli which was extremely delicious and came with walnuts and bread. Great seasonal menu right now that I recommend trying! read more

Oh my God, I recently ordered lunch from this location and it was perfect. The potato cream cheese chowder was perfectly balanced and seasoned and was a hearty meal just by itself. The bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich on nine grain whole wheat tasted both delicious and healthy. I even cheated and ordered a cookie and it tasted fresh peach out of the oven. I wish I had a cold glass of milk to go with it. Price was excellent service and atmosphere were great for a quick 30 minute lunch or a nice hour, relaxing lunch. Real bread, real food, amazing deserts, great breakfast. Order and pay at the counter, they deliver to your table. I had a roasted vegetable frittata. My husband had a breakfast sandwich. Both were good. My breakfast came with buttered toast. It was chewy with high protein which was developed from kneeding high quality wheat. The waitress brought me a small tub of catchup for my fried red potatoes. Neither Jack or I had much interest in the potatoes. We over ate as was with the ample servings. I purchased a large loaf of multigrain bread to go. The "Ultimate Chocolate Cake" looks amazing. It took all my willpower to resist taking a slice to go. Where I would normally purchase a loaf of multigrain bread from Costco, now I will purchase here, when possible. read more

Original- Really yummy food. The wait and line was rather long when we came at lunch but the food definitely made up for it. I tried the roasted pepper with smoked Gouda soup and the Chicken Pesto and feta sandwich combo. This was my second trip. I will definitely be back. Update review 041818 - we'll my review use to be 5 stars and I have been back a couple of times and never felt the need to change my review until today. The food is still good, but the service has gone downhill. First it started when ordering my food. The cashier walked away shutting down her register before I ordered then came back and gave the impression of being annoyed that she had to take my order. I brushed it off as a bad day for her, but then when I stopped eating for a second to take a drink a guy cleaning the room flew past my spot grabbed my unfinished food and dumped it before I could tell him to stop. I appreciate that they want to keep the place clean and moving - but ASK if I am done before you take away my plate. I was not done at all and was planning to finish my food. Now that is not an option and I have a bad taste in my mouth from the restaurant that they just want people to leave as quick as possible. It reminded me of a bad TV show where the Stars didn't have a chance to eat. Not sure if I want to come back again after the double whammy of bad service. Update 051118 - So I have not been back yet but I have to say after my last review I was contacted by the company owner who apologized for the bad service and made it up to me. If that is not a company who actually cares I don't know what is. So I am modifying my review up to 3 stars until I get a chance to go back in. Hopefully the servers have been retrained. Placed an online order to pick up on my way to an Arizona Fall League game in Peoria. Order was to be ready at 11:48 AM. I arrived to a group of frustrated unhappy customers waiting for their orders to be ready. Some had been waiting 45 minutes! Employees were bagging orders and placing them on pick up shelfs without calling out names or order numbers. You could see the confusion and poor training of the employees not knowing how to handle unhappy customers. After waiting 30 minutes and being LATE to my ballgame I waited in line to cancel my order and leave. Their employee promised me my refund would be done ASAP. Hopefully that means sometime today. If you have 30 minutes for lunch or on your way to an appointment don't stop here for lunch pick up or sit down! Very slow, not enough employees and unable to handle the lunch rush. Wait until they get their act together. I recommend suspending their online ordering until they are able to handle the customers that show up for a meal. Good luck! read more

This is possibly the best brunch place, that I ever been. My 1st time coming here, I almost was going to walk away as soon I walked in. I thought was going to be exactly like Panera Bread, which I am not a fan of. So my family wanted to tried this place, since every other breakfast restaurant were packed. I ordered pancakes that were cooked very well. My second visit I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, it was great. After that I knew I'll be coming here more often for brunch. A quick and cheerful update: several weeks after I wrote this review, one of the senior execs at Wildflower reached out to me about my experience. If I wasn't happy, neither was he. Not only did he insist on refunding the cost of my last meal there, he also offered to send a gift card so I could try them again. This impressed me, especially since many of my gripes were based on other customers being rude or insensitive. Most of the Wildflower staff does just fine, and I don't dwell on the exceptions. Customer service jobs can be rough. I get it. Though I haven't gone back just yet, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to update this review one more time. A good bowl of soup will always sway me. Wildflower is yet another Panera/Paradise Bakery/Corner Bakery/Kneaders clone, with a few standouts. I've been there many times with friends. It is never my choice...but luckily there are a few things I can tolerate when the friends insist. Soups are pretty decent and rotate often. This location doesn't really stick to the online schedule of choices. I'm always up for their forest mushroom variety. The squash or pumpkin choices are good. I don't like the chicken options because the bird tastes bland and dried out. You can ask to taste the soup before you commit, but the long lines may give you the stink eye if you dawdle. There's a seasonal beef and cheddar sandwich that's filling and tasty, as long as I remember to leave the horseradish off. I also like the roast beast and Gorgonzola, especially when I convince them to swap that stinky blue for tangy goat cheese. And finally, the sweet potato sandwich is both vegetarian and delicious. Pastas seem heavy but I'm still enamored with their butternut ravioli. I also like their meatballs...without the pasta. If all else fails I can always get a bagel. They don't always taste right. Many take on a cheesy or sweet aroma that doesn't quite match what I order. Iced teas and coffees and sodas are pour your own so there's always a line of gawkers trying to choose. The teas never change. I'm not sure about the coffee. I don't touch the stuff. Desserts include cookies, pastries, pies and cakes and scones. Not terrible, not exciting. Some of these are seasonal. Breads rotate with the seasons and their baguettes are crisp and soft all at once. Wildflower is often mobbed. It seems to be a popular hangout for toddlers and their mommies looking to escape. I have no issue with this unless they're screaming. If your wee one is breaking eardrums and causing the adults to weep, please take a brief timeout and get things in check. Fast casual does not mean free deafness and stress. Behave! My other woe with this place is that people often move chairs and tables without realizing they're blocking aisles or access to the restrooms. I use a wheelchair to get around and it's often impossible to negotiate the area without having to ask people to move. Trust me, I would rather not disturb your lovely balanced salad or run over your toddler's loose socks. Staff here can be super friendly or slow and surly. Get in line and watch so you can make a proper choice. And please don't cut the line to ask questions. This seems to happen to me often here and next thing I know, that cutter is putting in their order and my line time just doubled. Back in the days when I could still walk using a walker, this literally drove me out the door. Wait your turn, ladies and gentlemen. If your server forgot your butter, sure, go up and ask for a few pats. But if you forgot to order 6 assorted sugary treats, don't act like I'm invisible and push me aside. One of my favorite places!! I absolutely love their potato cream cheese soup, which is great for dipping any of their various sandwiches in! They also have a variety of salads and baked goods. You really can't go wrong with anything here! It's also a cute place with beautiful decor, and even has outdoor seating if we can ever get good weather here. This Wildflower location is a step above Denny's in food, decor, and overall vibe. In fact, Denny's might be a step above this Wildflower because at least Denny's knows what it is and embraces it. What is this place? The color scheme is 90s mauve. beige, and light green. The carpet is worn and the tables and chairs look like they came from a nursing home or hospital cafe. The food is always under-seasoned and I am a person who rarely has to add salt to any restaurant dish (it is often the opposite problem.) The selection of iced teas has not changed in years, which I point out because the location on 7th Street in Phoenix has a nice choice of teas, lemonades, and even hard kombucha. I do not fault this location for its menu, which is uninspired and predictable, because I know that is out of their control (something all Wildflowers can work on.) I come here when I need some space to work and I have time in between work events but I think this is the last time. Next time, I think I will just go to Denny's. read more
