The food here is always good. Today, the service was exceptional. I ordered the chopped salad without couscous. It's a food allergy. My food arrived and it had couscous. It's my dumb allergy so I don't fault the kitchen for forgetting to leave a regular menu item off but I do need it to be remade due to the food allergy. They had a replacement salad remade and back on my table in less than 5 minutes. I was very appreciative and the server was very apologetic. Decided to stop in for a salad with the family. Unfortunately the staff was unable to tell if they offered a low cal or fat free dressing. We asked one guy and he said we should look on the website. As we're eating, a couple walk in with their dog in tow. Not sure this was a service animal but the people proceeded to sit in a booth with the dog sitting on the bench. Pretty sure that's a health violation. Not one staff member even questioned the couple. Interesting why they wouldn't sit at one of the outside tables. With so many restaurant choices these days....not sure when we will return. A bunch of kids in the back staring at me until my husband knocked on the counter to get their attention. Of course one of them did the same thing but we shouldn't be the ones getting your attention. Wildflower Bread Company is an okay lunch spot that is trying too hard. ATMOSPHERE: Like Panera, WBC has a similar open layout and fast casual setting. SERVICE: The service here isn't bad; it's just weird. Like a traditional fast casual restaurant you order at the counter, but then your food is brought out to you by servers. Those people also take your plates when you're done. I don't have anything against this per se', but keep full service in a full service restaurant. Fast casual establishments are meant for customers to have a quick bite that isn't garbage fast food. FOOD: This part is also decent and just like what Panera offers. I got their version of the You-PIck-Two, which was a caesar salad and half a roast beef and gorgonzola sandwich. The salad portion was sizeable, but the half sandwich was a little small and underwhelming. The sourdough bread didn't have a distinct sourdough taste, and I didn't get the option to have it toasted. VALUE: WBC is pricey for what you get. My "pick 2" selection was $10.39 before tax, and that was also before adding a drink. One of the hallmark traits of popular fast casual restaurants is being able to get a full meal for $10. When you're charging $13-14 for a half sandwich, salad, and soda and not providing full service it's time to reevaluate your business model. TL;DR: Wildflower Bread Company has decent fare but is clearly providing solutions in search of a problem (AKA trying to be a better Panera). read more

My husband and I stopped in for a late breakfast after a doctor appointment. We live in the Verde Valley. As we were waiting getting ready to order I witnessed one of the staff cleaning off tables while at the same time an elderly woman was grappling with her drink, her purse AND her cane to leave the restaurant. The young woman (Demi) saw her, quickly put down the dirty dishes and ran over to help the elderly woman with the door to ensure she was ok. It was the sweetest act of kindness I've seen at a restaurant and it warmed my heart. I told Demi afterward how nice she was to have helped. The strong odor of sewer gas and super stale bread were the first indications that this restaurant is being neglected. I've eaten at this location for years, but will never again. About an hour after eating a sandwich and soup I became violently ill. It was the only thing I'd eaten that day, and had only home cooked meals for the previous few days. Luckily I'm in good health, and my body rejected the food right away. If a child, elderly person, or someone with a compromised immune system had eaten what I did, they might have ended up in the hospital, or worse. It really infuriates me when cooks don't take food safety seriously, because I am one, and it's simple. Managers, please; make sure your employees are dating, rotating, discarding outdated food, sanitizing, changing gloves often, and holding hot and cold foods at proper temperatures. read more

I went to lunch with a friend and I had the asian salad and a cup of chicken noodle soup. I was not expecting it to be so delicious. Prices are so reasonable. My friend is gluten free and a vegan. She had a roasted vegetable and feta salad and loved it. I had this delicious bread with mine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

What a sadddd location. I'm a regular at the arrowhead wildflower and love the food, but my friend wanted me to grab dinner by her house so we went to this location. I called in my order so I didn't have to wait (2 entrees) and when I got there I see she rung it in incorrectly. The bad part was the attitude on the cashier who was insistent on the fact that it was correct. Like B really... no it's not. So she finally fixes it and when I get home it was STILL INCORRECT. We love Wildflower! Great sandwiches and soups, and I love the passionfruit iced tea. We live in Tucson, where there is no Wildflower Bread Co., so we stopped in on our way home from Flagstaff to have a nice lunch that wasn't fast food. The cashier was super nice. I think his name was Josh. I got the Wildflower Two with potato cream cheese soup and the ham and swiss sandwich, and it was delicious. My husband really likes the salmon salad. Good bread, too. I ordered food today and was sitting by myself. I told one of the staff not to clear my table as I was going to the bathroom. I was assured that they would advise the other staff not to clear the table. I came back a few minutes later and the table was cleared. I was only half way done with my meal. I live in North Phoenix and I am frequently stopping near Wildflower for other errands. This is my go to restaurant. The menu is amazing, healthy and priced well. I've tried most of the salads on the menu and they are all awesome! I love the unusual and variegated ingredients combined together to create a special tasty meal!! This is an amazing place with friendly staff and fantastic food! Even breakfast is delicious and healthy! I am giving a glowing review of Stefanie! She has always been an amazing staff member to this store and since I'm a regular, enjoy seeing her when I come in. She's attentive, quick, and very friendly. She manages issues well (even just watching from afar). And she's calm even during the busiest times! I met Kytana this morning and she was also welcoming, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. This is the closest location near where I live and I'm thankful there is one :). The staff here are more than accommodating and can tell they strive at giving the best service! Jacob is mainly our cashier when my daughter asks for Wildflower and he never ceases to greet you with a smile and always gets the order correctly. I think we have visited this place so much we could practically live here but the food here is great! Comparing it to Panera and other deli/bakery places are like comparing apples to oranges just not the same!!!! My kids always orders the same thing kid Penne pasta with creamy already sauce in the side, with side of fruit a chocolate cookie and blue Powerade. I definitely need to try out their breakfast because I hate going there for dinner and the breakfast items sound more appetizing when I glance over so it's a must!!! I have slowly started to back off from coming to this location for breakfast. We came for breakfast and soon as I paid the girl said there was a 20 min wait for food. I wish she would have told me before I paid. We waited for about 35 mins and decided to leave. The lady refunded the money. I do not think it should take 35 min for pancakes, salad, sandwhich, soup, sausage links and toast with raspberry jam. I think I will stick to lunch here. I ate here for lunch last Friday and the food was to the table fast too. I will comeback to this place but for lunches only. If I am in a pinch I will get a pastry from their case. read more

This place is like panera on steroids aka way better. I really liked this place for lunch. i got the portabella picnic and large blackberry lemonade. DELICIOUS!!! Everything is made with fresh ingredients!!!! The sandwich bread was toasted perfectly and they had fresh arugula, goat cheese, and portabella mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of vegetarian options but this sandwich was YUMMY!!!! I know some other people got soup and said it tasted like homemade soup. I highly recommend this place for gourmet sandwiches, salads, and soups. You can mix and match 2 as well! High quality for the prices- sandwhichs $8-9. read more

When I visit my family in Arizona, they have a tendency to pick chain restaurants. I hate chains, and I especially hate eating unhealthily. I asked my sister if there was a place they liked that was a bit healthier. I was happy when she showed me the menu for Wildflower Bread. I had the Superfood salad with chopped salmon. It was huge, delicious, and a great value at $11.29. In fact, I paid for the four of us and with tax, the total for food and drink was only $46.95. Seemed like a pretty good deal for a semi-independent restaurant that isn't going to make you fat. I almost went back the next day, but I couldn't resist the lure of BBQ. But I'd definitely come back and will recommend it over Chili's on my next visit. read more

We only stopped in for a snack and some drinks. We were greeted as we entered the door, and the place was clean and well kept. The cashier was friendly and took our order right away since we came at an off time and no one was in line. I picked out a cookie and he had a cupcake. The cookie tasted freshly baked and his cupcake was gone in a minute or two - so I think it's safe to say it was tasty as well. This location is tucked inside of the shopping plaza and the parking can be a tad difficult to navigate with it being on the main path, but it's worth a stop off!
