My favorite doughnut here is the jelly filled doughnut! I always get it on my cheat day..as well as a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I've picked up dozens of doughnuts for work and it never breaks the bank. Whenever I walk in the workers have been really friendly and quick to get my order together. Love it here! read more

Walked there from our local VRBO to get some donuts. They were the best doughnuts we've ever eaten!! My daughter purchased a strawberry cheesecake Danish. It was so fresh and flaky she said she would walk there every day. When I told my other relatives about the ham and cheese stuffed croissants, they went to the bakery as well and enjoyed the huge, tasty sandwiches. The staff was friendly and happy, made us feel like we'd been eating there for years. We will definitely come back to Monterey Park, this little restaurant is part of what makes it great!! read more

"Bring me home a couple of donuts, okay?" Grrr. Had to pick up something from CVS and saw this donut shop next door. Funny, I've never noticed it before and I pass by often. Might as well save myself further driving into Montebello and check the place out. Got a nice "Good morning, friend!". Apple fritter & a chocolate bar for him. Iced coffee for me. I never review on Yelp but I felt this was warranted after reading some of the one star reviews. I stop by here all the time for a donut and coffee when it's close by. It's really a no frills donut shop with reasonable prices, I should know, compared to donut man or donut friend, I am a donut connosuier lol. Anyways, I just want to say stop hating on the Asian lady that is quick with her questions. She doesn't dislike u lol. She is doing her job and doing it very quickly. Its self serve coffee so she is really fast with serving the donut to u as well, I've never had a slow experience here, that's for sure. Also as a small business owner, I would like everyone to be cognizant of one reviews, some people really don't deserve it. Last Friday 11/16/2018. My husband and I go in there because we wanted something to drink and some donuts so I went to go get some drinks from their refrigerated section. And here comes this rude short Asian lady "how can I help you what you want" and I could hear my husband in the back of me saying "we're just getting something to dri ..." And before he can finish his sentence she goes "you just want two sodas that's it". Then I turned around and said "well we want some donuts" and I looked and they didn't have any donuts (it was night time) they only had some donut holes and some croissants and I said "oh you don't have any donuts, that's ok, we're just take the sodas" she goes "we have donuts holes, croissants" and I said "No we're just take the sodas". She looked irritated because we didn't take the donut holes or crossiants. Hahaha! Then she goes "2 dollars" and she says in a rude way "ah ha sorry we didn't have no donuts". As soon as we walked out I told my husband "never again, what a rude bitch!". So never again. First and last time. I would give this place a 0 but I can't so I guess they get a 1. read more

This is an awesome donut shop run by the friendliest husband and wife team you'll ever meet. The donuts are always fresh and the service is always friendly. My sons love the maple bars, and my wife enjoys their apple fritters. Our family favorite has to be the croissant sandwiches though. We mostly get the sausage and egg, but have also gotten the bacon and egg. Overall an excellent place to get donuts and sandwiches. read more

Came here for a dozen donuts and was impressed by the price $7.50. Donuts tasted fresh and delicious. The gentleman which I'm not sure if is the owner was super nice. This donut shop has been here since I was little! Always good donuts, love coming here. The owners are so sweet! Always good and positive attitudes/vibes. They don't only have donuts but amazing food! They have burgers, breakfast sandwiches, teriyaki bowls, French fries. Everything here is delicious. I usually get the teriyaki plate or a bowl if I'm not that hungry. The cheese fries are also very good here. I also usually get a Oreo smoothie that is so good! The most friendliest staff ever my family has been going here forever and enjoy it so much. My mother has become close friend with the owners and I enjoy going there and walking in and them remembering my order. Some of their coffees are so flavorful I believe the cinnamon latte being my favorite. I also enjoy buying the dozen donut holes to share with my family. read more

I used to come here when I was in high school, almost every day. I just came by for the chicken teriyaki bowl after several years. Wow, it's still amazing as I had remembered & for a great price. The breakfast bacon, egg, and cheese is also perfect for a quick grab-and-go. The lady & her husband, who works here, are super friendly. She actually remembered me! Wow I usually do not write reviews for donut shops. Seriously the donuts are amazing here . It's the best donut I've had in my life I think. I know by sounds dramatic haha. The glazed twist was extremely soft in texture . Donut holes are great. The buttermilk donut tasted great too. I'm comparing their donuts to California donuts and even Krispy Kreme. I was referred to this place about a year ago and have been coming consistently ever since. I always get their teriyaki chicken bowl combo. The prices are extremely reasonable and the bowl tastes great! Their donuts and burgers are just as good! The owners and staff are extremely polite and friendly. This is my spot for my "breakfast on the go!" I usually get the plain croissants and medium roast coffee. Sometimes the sugar donut hole too. I've bought few donut boxes for my workplace as well. You gotta treat people sometimes. According to my coworkers, they said I bought supreme donuts and they enjoyed it. Thanks for making me look good guys! Shop is near Subway and CVS. So if you don't have anything to eat for lunch, you can stop by Subway then get your breakfast here. Donut shop has a wide range of beverages, from water bottles to root beer. I like this very much! Convenient for me to bring to work. Killing two birds with one stone, yay! There are plenty of parking spots too! read more

I came here with my sister and our babies. People were smoking at the tables in front of the donut shop when clearly states no smoking.We go inside and the lady working says "what you want?" Not a friendly hello nothing. Same to my sister. As we are walking outside with our order in the plastic plates the lady says "bring it back". Hahah like we are one going to be dumb enough to through the plastic plates away or two take off with them. Then the gentleman outside says to us " they were rude to me too". Forgot to mention the tables were FILTHY AND SO WERE THE OUTSIDE TABLES.Worst customer service ever! read more

I've passed by this place for years and finally a friend recommended the iced coffee, so I decided to stop. The iced coffee is super yum. I love it. A change from my normal 'green straw' place. Ugh. This place blows. The variety is okay but the doughnuts are crap. They never taste fresh and there's one girl who works there who is so rude. I get it- your life sucks and you hate your job, but I don't care. Don't take it out on me. I was very tempted to put her in her place (trust me, I'm not a nice person when I tell you off), but I thought, Eh, forget it, I empathize with working at a doughnut shop and how lousy it is (my uncle owns one and from mid-junior high throughout high school is how I made my shopping money and I did not enjoy it, that's for sure). I really don't know why I go here because I'm never happy with their product. It's not like it's some great deal for mediocre doughnuts. It's just an average price for crappy doughnuts. I must either be masochistic or just really crave deep-fried pastries because I've been going there more often lately. I gotta stop. This place really isn't good. Oh, yeah- cash only. I came here for the first time last week for a breakfast sandwich. The owner, Jimmy, is a really awesome guy. Down to earth and loves getting to know his customers. I went back a few days later and he remembered my name and what I ordered. He introduced me to his family too. All nice people. As a matter of fact, a lot of older locals hang out here and chat with them and he knows them all by name. Delicious food. Inexpensive. Awesome owners. Highly recommended. read more

Good value for the what thus place offers My girlfriend and I came for Subway next door but instead wanted to take a risk after seeing the menu this place offered. And it was one of the best risks we taken. I ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and my GF ordered a ham, egg, and cheese burger. It came out to just $7! one of my favorite to go shops. i always stop by hear if i just wanna have a quick snack or just wanna eat something small. they got a variety of cafe foods such as boba, tea, drinks, burgers, donuts, chips, food bowls, etc. its a very basic and simple building and i there could be more sitting areas but asides from that i have no complaints from this place. the price is also super affordable. great service under covid. read more

My go-to donut place on my way to work. Love the lemon filled dusted with powdered sugar in particular. They also have a selection of croissants (including whole wheat) and fruit filled Danish. Regarding the comments about the lady behind the counter being rude, you all don't understand the cultural differences and the language barrier. It's the SGV, in many places proprietors may not be fluent but we all do our best. read more

The bacon cheeseburger was really good. The patty had great flavor, the bun was soft, the bacon was crispy, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The fried mushrooms were delicious too. The batter was so crispy. On my second, and most recent, visit, I ordered their teriyaki plate. Although it's not on the menu, I asked for half chicken and half beef. The plate comes with white rice and a simple green salad with Thousand Island dressing. While the teriyaki had good flavor, I didn't really enjoy it. I was expecting the meat to be thinly sliced, but instead it was cut into large cubes. If you like bigger chunks of meat in your teriyaki, you'll probably enjoy theirs. The prices were pretty steep for a short-order restaurant. The teriyaki plate was $15.99 plus tax. I also ordered my boyfriend a bacon cheeseburger combo, which was $16.99 plus tax. The combo comes with a small drink. For the price, I think they should at least offer a medium-sized drink. They do offer refills, though. Customer service was good. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.
