I am sick of the run around I've been having of lately with this company. I got the car (Hyundai) Accent 2020 back in September of 2023. In my glove compartment was a temporary registration and safety check. Now mind you the registration expired in October and I made many attempts to call the company. Back in November I was given a call regarding my registration and was told that it would be mailed out to me. It's already January and still there have been no signs of a registration in the mailbox. I did however try to call the DMV to see if the dealership had already in fact generated a new registration. I was told by the operator that he couldn't divulge that type information at all that it is the dealership that needs too, with me. I am already frantic. I mean which auto dealership sells a used car with temporary registration and doesn't update it? I mean I am already making payments on the car and the insurance, driving around cause my job is in town, hoping and praying I don't get pulled over. This is very piss poor business practices. If worse comes to worse and I do get pulled over for having expired tags, I will charge the company for it and take them to court for mishandling my paperwork. This is the worse by far I've ever had to deal with on this island. From what I can tell there's a huge miscommunication with the sellers the customer service and the service dealers. They need to have better communication skills and a better system so that this kind of crap doesn't happen to hard working people on the island. The worst place to get car repaired. This is the 2nd time I came here because I bought my Palisades here. I had to wait for over 5 hours last time just to replace one of my tires. Today came in for service and get my alinement done and get a tire replaced again,, I've been here since 12:40pm it is now 3:54pm and still waiting for my tire replaced AGAIN its taking forever!!!!WTF.. the service girl said she is waiting for the parts department to get the tire and price for it..So bad, to just service your car is good but anything else don't come here, unless you have the rest of your day to waist away sitting in the guest lounge for 4-5 hours... Trying to get a price quote here was a terrible and frustrating experience. First, they won't give a quote over the phone or even let you know about inventory available because they want you to go into the dealership. Once I got there, the first guy told me the price of a Tucson. Then I asked him about inventory and he took forever. Then, he came out with his manager and the manager said there's no inventory and gave me an even higher price for a Tucson. After a long day of work, this was the last way I would want to spend the evening with uncaring, unforthcoming, dishonest dealers. Dealerships have an opportunity to win over new customers during this car shortage, but not this place. This place has gone to shit! Their service has gone down. When I bought my car I used to get car washed and quick and speedy service, now I'm told I have to wait 2 hours with an appointment. I bought my truck pre-certified but quickly found out the mechanics that certified my truck over tightened the battery which cracked the terminal and leaked battery acid throughout my cables and destroyed the electrical which was not covered by way warranty or extended (mopar) warranty. The electrical system still is fried in my truck and the rear camera goes on while driving, the radio has gone haywire, the dash shorts out while driving. Overall if I didn't have a prepaid service package I wouldn't even come back here ever again. I definitely will not buy a car from here again! I called Hyundai and they told me that this dealership sent the title and registration to Carmax. This is absurd. I call the title clerk and they told me they have no idea what happened to the title and registration. It's now the end of Sept. and almost October. I took my 10 yr old Elantra to Windward for the first time last year for a safety check, oil change and replacement of front day lights which were not working. I did not have an appointment but they took me in anyway and were very friendly and courteous. I did have to wait awhile but that was expected as they were busy. I was shocked how low the price was for my bulb change and really happy with the bill. This year I returned for safety check, possible break check, oil change and some filter thing. They charged me for safety check and oil change and said everything else was fine. No hard sell for anything else and very affordable. Also was told there was a certified warranty on my car and I would get the papers in the mail. Still nothing. And when I call the dealership they have no idea what I'm talking about. My experience from start to finish was HORRENDOUS. Set my appointment online in January. Called a day after to ask a question, they didn't have my appointment. I provided a confirmation number she said they'd honor it since I had that. Fast forward to MARCH 6th my appointment was march 9th. I called to ask another question about my upcoming appointment. They again didn't have my appointment. The manager then called me back and said they rd be all good to go. My car was towed there and all was well or so I thought. The day after my appointment, I got a call accusing me of missing my appointment and asking if I still needed it. When I explained I did and that Tomas had called us already to give an update, the gal practically ran off the phone and said I'd be called back tomorrow and hung up. I never received any updates, when I'd call to get at least some type of information, it would take forever to get a hold of anyone. After a month I told them I needed a rental. Because it was a warranty fix they covered it. No updates. After four months of them having my car, Stan the manager calls on a Tuesday and let's me know that my car is finally ready. He asked if I'd be available to pick it up that day or Wednesday. I said probably not as we live north shore and I don't get off work until later and would have to arrange it with my husband as well, but that I'd for sure be able to come Friday at the very latest. Tuesday and Wednesday didn't work and then we planned for Thursday but then there was an accident and the roads were closed. Friday morning as I'm getting ready to leave to go, I get a call from the Hertz guy (RJ is AWESOME) saying that Stan had called him and told him that they were only going to cover my rental until Wednesday so I'd be responsible to pay for Thursday and Friday. I was furious that when I told Stan I was probably not going to be able to make it he didn't tell me at that point that we'd be charged. And how cowardly of him to make the Hertz guy, who Stan knew I had a good report with, tell me and not tell me himself. I called and spoke with Stan and told him I was bothered that he was not forth coming with information with me. And that it was unacceptable that he then put RJ in an uncomfortable situation. He nicely argued back and forth with me (even told me I said something I didn't) but ultimately said they'd cover Thursday and Friday as well. I get my vehicle home my engine light comes on. My husband gets home and goes to look at the car and the engine cover is missing! That was July. I have called three times asking about my engine cover being replaced and have yet to hear back from them. We just payed off our Hyundai and I almost would rather trade it in and get a vehicle that would mean I don't have to deal with them then to do this again. If you can, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Considering I didn't buy my car there, I was blown away by the Aloha shown to me by the service department here. Went the extra mile to make sure my extended warranty purchased on the mainland was still good here, everything was paid for and taken care of. Rental car went smoothly. Very friendly service and great communication. Even chatted with some of the sales team about a new car, they just seemed down to earth and not pushy. I bought my Hyundai Elantra in 2012 n drive from town to have my car serviced everytime. I appreciate the professional n knowledgeable service people. I like the express lane that doesn't need an appointment for oil changes (I call in to check the wait before I drive over). I don't feel like the service dept is hustling me for unneeded work on my car (sometimes the repair is more expensive than other places but it's always something that needs to be taken care of). And they honor their warranties. Plus, since I bought the car from them, free car washes/safety checks! One time, my car was returned to me with dirty seats; after I pointed it out, they immediately offered free cleaning of the upholstery- no fuss. I have been here on 3 separate occassions. Once for an oil change in 2021. I parked outside the dealership at 0600, got checked in around 0645, and stayed until 1300. 6 hours for an oil change. 04/14/22. Oil change, tire rotation, brake/rotor replacement. Brought my car in around 0930. Waited 30 minutes just to get checked in. Walked to Windward mall and spent about 3 hours there with no updates. Walked back to the dealership to find out they didn't even start on my brakes and were waiting for the person in charge of pricing and ordering parts. I took the offer of being driven home and picked up when it was done after wasting 3 hours at the mall. My car was ready at 1624. 7 hours for everything. 06/06/22. I called a service representative at 0807 to try and get my car door serviced. I was given a walk-in option for 06/10/22 and to come in between 1200-1400 for service to look at it, but not promising to fix it due to the possible requirement of parts. My other option was to wait until 06/30, almost a full month before I can just check what is wrong with my door, not even ordering the parts yet. I made the appointment anyways just to be safe. The tone of the representative was not pleasant to deal with. 06/10/22. I drive from my place in Honolulu to Windward Hyundai service center and arrive around 1240. I immediately get checked on, but was told I need an appointment to get my car door worked on. I tell them the representatives name and what they told me on 06/06/22. I was directed to speak with another representative from the service department to help me as sort of an apology. That representative didn't help me/compensate me/honor the other service representatives word/ nothing. When I asked for time frames about parts and service, I was told "It depends if parts are in back order and shipping. Supply chains have slowed down. Some people are still waiting for parts since March." I don't even know why I was passed off to this representative in the first place. Despite wasting my time, my gas, and my vacation hours, why not just take the time and call the parts distributor/manufacturer for just some time frame estimates at the very least. Also, people are still waiting since March for car parts to get serviced? Whoever is in charge of this dealership. Understand that as a customer, I feel that your service team, especially the parts department always has me by the balls when it comes to my time (and I'm aware it takes long, but 3 hours with no update?). Both times I have been here, it takes almost a full work day just to get my car serviced. The service and parts department really needs to be reviewed because it never feels like everyone is on the same page and turn around time is absolutely ridiculous. For people considering here, regardless of appointment, either clear up your day cause you're in for a long wait (according to the service representative, possibly over a 2 month wait for certain parts). First time there to get my car serviced and awful experience. Went in for the emergency recall and when I got there, barely any indications on where to go or what to do. Zero help for guidance and procedure/process. Had a 9:30 appointment and dropped off my car for the service but got no feedback or anything just left there standing after just leaving my car. Had to go ask myself on where/how the uber service worked. Got a call around 1 saying my car was ready to be picked up but I was busy until 1:30 so I ask if I could get the uber at 1:30 and they said it was fine and that they'll call back to confirm it at 1:30. 1:30 comes and no call back, I wait for 15 mins then call back for the uber and the lady on the phone said she'll call back after seeing if she can get an uber order through. 40 mins pass no uber, notifications, nothing. I call back for the 2nd time to see where my ubers at and the lady put me on hold then came back saying the order was just placed 40 mins later. Waiting for another 40 minutes and again not a single notification which leads to me having to call back myself for the 3rd time on where my uber was having already wasted 2 hrs of my time and it being 3:30. Finally a different lady answered me and got my uber order through finally and getting my uber notification. I get there to pick up my car and they tell me nothing, just told me where my car was and to sign. No apologies no details nothing. Long story short. Monday: Car goes in for oil change/ battery check Wednesday: I lift my hood; struts seals are broke. Hood won't stay up. Thursday: take car back and I'm told $500 for OEM parts/labor or $62ea plus $55 labor for after market. AUFKM?? For The People?...a catchy phrase. Your sign about wanting to be a "trusted" service provider...a joke. And I wasn't even blaming the mechanic. You could have shined here but nope. Im not angry. I'm disappointed. You should uphold your core values (posted inside) and keep your promise (blue sign above service desk). Loyalty is a foreign word I'm sure but it's priceless. Not happy with the follow through. They pitched a good deal for a Hyndai Santa Cruz, put my $2K deposit back in April. They said these vehicles are sold before they even hit the lot. At they were good at conversing on the update of my arrival of the vehicle I put my down payment on. It finally arrived in June, Mike the manager talked a good talk, said Noah can come to my house with the car to test drive it, since I had a busy schedule. Well I ended up having some free time, ran down around 1230pm, test drove the car, I showed my interest and wanted to move forward. Mike the manager advised me "We can do everything online, and we can even have the car at your house by tonight". I was really excited, I did the online credit application, send all the paper work they requested before 230pm, I got my insurance agent to send the binder by 2:45pm, I thought I was all set. I text both the manager and salesperson at 6:10pm, asking for an update with my application, I get NO RESPONSE. At 8:27pm I text and say "Thanks for following up" I got a response quickly, Noah/Salesperson "did my boss get back to you" then I get a voice mail from Mike the manager. "oh I am sorry we got busy after you left, we plan on coming in early and have it ready for you in the mornings! WRONG ANSWER! I blasted both Mike the manager and Noah the salesperson on how I felt they both put me on the back burner, I came in, I did the application on a timely manner. I was even promised by Mike the manager that I can even have my car delivered to my home tonight! all these false promises. When they didnt even submit my application, only because I wasnt there in person. If I had know I would be serviced in this manner, I would of taken my business elsewhere. Mike the manager is a typical salesperson, great promises that they cant follow through and fulfill. I am upset, I told them I will sleep on it, and I will decide if I want to proceed with these guys. Unless I am given a good deal, then I am gone! I guess they wasnt to worried about me as they thought I was a done deal, because I really wanted the car. I wont waste my time with those who make commission off a customer, but they dont put their customers first, and or value me as a customer. I already started looking elsewhere. If I cramming to get all my paper work in on a timely manner and did what was asked of me, and then A MANAGER drops the ball, thats a RED FLAG for me. I immediately jumped on the internet looking elsewhere. I want to feel that my business is welcomed, I thought I felt it here, until they dropped the ball. I want to give the commission to the right salesperson(s) that earned it, and will do what they can to make sure the customer was serviced properly, and when they dropped the ball, made broken promises and didnt even submit my paper work. time to move on! If I have to wait for another shipment with their competitor then so be it. This dealership is not the one I recommend. I called the finance manager and left 3 messages to call back 7/13/18, 7/27/18 and 7/19/18. No call backs. I have purchased 2 cars from their. I have always given 5 stars for service.....not anymore after this. Is this your new practice......Jerry you should teach your finance manager to better service your customers. Came here last July for a test drive the Ioniq on the promise of a $40 Amazon gift card. The car was nice and I was really interested in a hybrid, but due to my financial situation, couldn't afford a car payment bigger than the one I currently had. Giraud did a great job of playing the nice guy and convincing me that the money I would save on gas would balance out the higher cost of my monthly payment. Okay, I was very interested at this point, but when Giraud brought in his clown of a closer who basically told me my wife's opinion isn't important, I walked out of there. Giraud managed to get me back in the next day and I bought the car. It's true, I was saving money on gas, but the salesmen failed to mention that now with a hybrid, I need to use synthetic oil, which at this dealership costs $82 for a simple oil change. And the kicker is, these fools are trying to tell me I still need to change it every 4,000 miles!! I read synthetic should be good for 10,000! So screw the "free tires for life", I'd rather buy myself a bottle of synthetic and tend to the oil changes myself! Also, I never got my $40 gift card and they don't even care to help me! This is currently the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I very seriously don't have time or space here to list all the problems they've given me. Nobody there can tell you whether specific work is covered by your warranty, so you can't plan for major repair. It can take forever to talk to anybody there; I've actually had to walk down there myself to find out the status of a repair because I couldn't get anyone on the phone. And the few times you actually get through to a person, that person is completely unable to answer your question and the one person in the whole place who has the answer is backed up and unavailable or just not in. I understand this problem is endemic in the auto sales business, so it could be even worse at other dealerships, I certainly hear enough horror stories. And it's not like they're bad people or anything, they just haven't been given the tools and organizational communication infrastructure they need! They're actually all rather nice people. read more

Tomorrow I will be selling my Hyundai Genesis after owning the car for a year and a half. On the positive note: the car is comfortable and drives well. On the negative note: my cell phone worked about the half the time. I bought a $50,000 car and had to drive around with my cell phone on my lap because this car couldn't connect. Of course, that is against the law. It is by the grace of God that I didn't get a fine. I took it to the dealer at least five times. Their response was that it worked with their phone. Since it worked 50% of the time, it was always a coin toss and they were lucky to get the connection. The problem was never resolved. Then there is the issue of the navigation system. This is MAJOR problem for me, since I am a real estate agent. Apparently their computer was developed a few decades ago, because it could not locate properties in Ewa Beach or Makakilo. Really? This was true from the beginning, but since I usually serve the Windward side of the island, I didn't know this. A few months ago, the range decreased. Now this navigation system cannot find any property, even my house. Of course I took it in for service, this time to the dealership on Beretania, since my experience in Kaneohe was so bad. I though maybe a different dealer would try harder to resolve problems. I was wrong. This is a problem with the car. If you need a car that will connect with your phone and one that will help you find an address, go elsewhere for your purchase. Once you have signed the paperwork, this problem is your problem and they couldn't care less. read more
