Husband didn't realize the buffalo was a buffalo bbq (first time here and not from WY). So we asked the waitress/cashier if there was pineapple in the sauce. (I'm severely allergic.) She happily went to check. One of the coworkers was very rude about it and making unnecessary comments and apparently "had no way to check." The cashier however was so sweet and got us a different flavor. Thanks to her, we had a great first experience and we apologized for not reading the menu closer while we were ordering. I had high hopes for this strip mall location. It looked like the sort of place that would have awesome wings. The staff was friendly, and the prices average. I ordered the Cajun dry rub wings and pickle fries. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally they came! The wings were small but fresh, the seasoning was okay. The pickle fries came out cold, but were really tasty. I like these. One friendly employee came out and offered me a free dessert to make my visit better. Did he know I was a Yelper? Meh. I got the 10 piece bone in and although the honey BBQ was good, the drumsticks were tiny and dry. The wing parts were fine though. The dry rub is nothing more than shaking seasoning onto the chicken and not an actual rub. The teriyaki was heavy on the soy sauce whether regular or spicy. I have been going to wing shack when I come to town for over a year. Today the person who served us was auston. He couldn't hear us walk in and we stood there for a google couple minutes. The person had a AirPod in and didn't seem to interested in serving us. They were also playing some explicit music pretty loudly. We had wanted boneless wings and got bone in. I like how the wings are cooked, some places don't cook the wings long enough and they still have a lot of sinew. These fall off the bone pretty easily. The customer service was good and they seem to be making more of an effort at cleanliness. My only complaint is that the wings have a gross smell. Especially after re-warming them it's like a rotten smell. I think they're really close to a good all-round product, just need more quality control with the oil/chicken to make sure it is all fresh. read more

I absolutely love my local wing shack. The food is always delicious but what I love most about it is the people and the customer service. They always make you feel welcome and go beyond being friendly like you've known them and have been a regular customer for years. And if you haven't tried their Michelada with the Wing Shack beer, you definitely should but you couldn't ask for a better customer service or for better tasting wings not to mention their pickle fries. First of all, they need to train their employees in etiquette. As we are eating in the dining area, the employees are discussing their dating life, horsing around and being very loud. These wings had to come off of a quail, not a real chicken. Pathetically small with close to zero sauce. Both garlic flavors I received had little garlic flavor. We ordered 20 wings (bone in) and sweet tots, onion rings, drinks for just over 30. We split the wings 4 ways with their strawberry habanero, teriyaki , bbq, and hot teriyaki. They said the wait would be about 20 minutes. The people are very nice and you can taste any of the sauces. The order came out in just 10-15 minutes, . There were plenty of carrots and celery. The sweet tots and I-rings were standard Sysco type fair. The wings...uhhhh....tiny. Very, very tiny! Everything was tasty. Pretty good wings for a decent value! For about 10 bucks you get 10 wings, sauce for dipping and some carrots/celery as a side! Service was pretty fast--about 15 minutes after I arrived. Everything is totally fresh and made to order. Friendly staff on the phone that took my order as well! I ended up getting the hot buffalo which was more of a mild. I'll preface this by saying I'm from NY... right outside of Buffalo... like home of the "buffalo wings." I'm picky about my wings. That said, this place has potential. I got 20 wings and went with 4 different sauces. The price for 20 wings was like $17 and some change, that's not bad. And it seems they do wing specials throughout the week too. With the 20 wings, they give you one sauce and if you want to try other sauces, it was .50c extra. I thought this was being kind of cheap... I didn't see a need to charge me an extra $1.50 to use approximately the same amount of sauce total. But that's fine, I'm not in Cheyenne often and wanted to try the different sauces. And ultimately it was still around $20 for the 20 wings, so not bad. As many other reviews have mentioned, the wings are small. 20 wings nearly anywhere else, fills me to the brim. I could have eaten another 5 or so. For similar pricing to other wing shops, the wings should be larger. The sauces! I tried, buffalo BBQ, thai, golden hot, and garlic hot. Of the 4 I tried 2 were odd, but ok (buffalo bbq and golden hot). 1 was not good (thai). and one was surprisingly very good (garlic hot). Buffalo BBQ was at first kind of odd, but I had 5 wings and wasn't going to waste it. It's exactly as described buffalo mixed with bbq. the more I ate, the more I became OK with it. Just OK. Golden Hot was at first kind of gross. It was basically all butter, but if that's your thing, then great. Not for me. But it had a nice after taste to it, so by wing 2 of my 5, I was getting that after taste of habenero with it, making it OK. Again, just OK. Thai... was just not good. Just one mans opinion. Garlic Hot was very good. It's a nicely flavored buffalo sauce with a good garlic partner. There are small bits of garlic in the sauce and they compliment the buffalo nicely. Overall, I wish I had 20 wings in this sauce. The heat was nice as well, not overwhelming. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. They do cook your wings to order which is nice, but expect 10 to 15 minute wait. Not a complaint. Overall, the garlic hot would be the reason I'd go back... well, and there are still other sauces I'd like to try, so that'd get me back too. You can opt for 4 beers instead of soda for about $5 more. You can choose a flavor variety of wings with this deal, but they all have to be the same type (traditional or boneless) of wing. We got 5 each of boneless Jamaican Jerk, Teriyaki, Hotter, Hot Garlic, and Bear Hot (their hottest). Jamaican Jerk was by far my favorite flavor. I'm happy Cheyenne finally has a place to get yummy wings that isn't insanely loud (talkin' bout you BWW.....). You can actually enjoy your food and a nice conversation! Short review: I would go back again if only to try the different flavor choices and maybe the sides. Longer review: As others have posted the wings are not the terodactyl wings that you get from dub-dubs. They are made well done, which I appreciate since at the other place I'm usually worried they have not cooked the cluck out of my chicken. If you have never been here before as I hadn't, the reason the chicken logo has fire coming out of its mouth must be because there flavors are mostly if not all spicy hot. In this review I ordered the Garlic Hot and the Bear Hot traditional wings. Garlic hot - Crispy with a good punch of fresh garlic flavor and a good amount of heat. That said they were pretty much... alright. Buffalo Hot - Lot's of kick! Got my nose running and a good amount of sweat on my forehead! Luckily the burn was not that long. As far as flavor it had lots of it. However I am not a fan of ghost pepper flavor. Also the blue cheese is good and chunky, great if you're a blue cheese lover as I am. Overall - The service was Professional-friendly. Everything looked good and clean. There is a wait of 15 to 20 minutes since they cook to order. Finally a Real Wing place in Cheyenne!!!! First sampled them in Loveland Colorado and made it a weekly stop a few years ago. Extremely happy to have them closer by so that we can continue the tradition. THE FOOD: We sampled several different flavors and were very impressed with all the flavors. My favorite was the Buffalo BBQ, add Honey of course. They have just enough heat with a sweet kick to them. THE DESSERTS: We sampled all 3. You can't go wrong with any of them. They have; Snicker Crisps, Colorado Style Cheesecake, and Fresh Donut Holes. They are all served with either Chocolate Sauce or Strawberry Sauce and we elected to have it on the side. The Snickers was my personal favorite but the Cheesecake was the Table favorite. Like I said you can't go wrong on any choice. THE INTERIOR: Seating is ample with a local wing place at about 60. There are a few booths(6) with the rest being 4 top and 2 toppers with chairs. Large screen TV in the corner showing ESPN.
