SERVICE IS, FOR A LACK OF A BETTER WORD, SHITTY!! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! DO NOT!!! YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME. HEAD TO THE MONROVIA ONE!!!
I called in to order 20 pieces at 8:20 p.m and was told that my order would be ready in 15 minutes. Driving from around Monterey Park area, 15 minutes away, I felt that it was all worth it for Wingstop. As I stood in line, the customer in front of me was attempting to pay with a card. However, the card was not processing through, and it took the employees a while to realize what was happening. Apparently, as one of the employees said, the machines "broke down again." I now stood in line for 15 minutes watching them turn the computer on and off. After watching and waiting for so long, they finally spoke up and told the all the customers in line that they were taking cash only. Being that I saw my order already out there and waiting now 25 minutes in line for my food, I asked the "manager," Mailea or whatever he name was, what I should do, being that I only had a card on me. This "manager" told me that there was nothing she could do for me unless I was able to wait longer for them to fix the machines. Understanding that this was out of their hands, I sat quietly waiting for another 5 minutes. When this manager made it final that they were taking cash only, I asked her what would happen to my order. My order has now been sitting on the counter for about 40 minutes now. Knowing that a franchise like Wingstop would not just give away cold food to the next customer, I asked her what she would do with it. This lady had the audacity to tell me that she was just going to throw it out in the garbage. Instead of just giving the already cold order to a hungry, waiting customer, she would rather throw it away because "I could not pay." Are you f*cking shitting me?! I waited 30 minutes at Wingstop, drove a 15 minute car ride, and have not eaten dinner at all. Plus, I JUST drove from San Francisco and back in one day. This was the first meal I would have eaten. I told her that I called in before hand and waited all this time here- why throw away the food? Instead of wasting the food, why not give it to the customer to compensate for the wait? It was already cold, and she was just going to toss it out because YOUR machine would not let me pay. I waited for this food and drove all this way- why did you not call me, or any customer for a matter of fact, and tell them about this problem? They would have saved a trip and canceled their order, so YOU wouldn't have to make it and THROW it away. I completely understand that the machine problem is not the employees fault, but I have waited a very, very long time. I ask her if I could talk to a manger, and she proceeds to tell me that she is the manager. She begins raising her voice and telling me that she's been in this business for 10 years. If she has 10 years of "experience" then she should know a thing or two about customer service. After going back and forth, she finally tells me that the "general manager" would be coming in 10 minutes. Therefore, I WAIT EVEN MORE. I now have sat inside Wingstop for 40 minutes, watching everyone eat their food. After waiting for this "general manager" to come, she proceeds to tell me that he will not be coming. This was getting completely ridiculous, wasting my time even more. I ask her if I could have this "general managers" number, and she tells me no because it is a "private number." This was becoming completely out of hand, and this is no way to treat a customer whatsoever. After arguing back and forth with her for another 10 minutes, she finally gives me a number. Annoyed, hungry, and angry, I walk out, drive away, and call the number. After receiving what I thought was the number, I call a DISCONNECTED number. How professional is this manager? Now furious, I drove back and argued with her some more. She finally hands me the real number, and I have spent 60 minutes at Wingstop. All I wanted was something to compensate for my wait- a drink, coupons, anything.
I have never experienced such rude, horrible customer service in my entire life. When this Wingstop first opened, I wrote a fantastic review on Yelp. I now changed that review because no customers should have to tolerate this service. Looking at the previous reviews on yelp, I now understand why this location has such low ratings. It was extremely disheartening that I could not receive the assistance I was politely requesting, and ultimately, I am very dissatisfied with my experience. No one should come here at all. Listen to the reviews. Apparently they also have problems with the machines a lot, so THIS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU.
SUCK IT MARIELA, or WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS. 10 years in the food industry business, no wonder you're still in the food industry. You cannot handle customer service at all, and if anything, you become completely frustrated, taking it out on the customer. read more
