My friend and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch on a weekday as we were excited to have a new restaurant in town. Unfortunately, this did not meet our expectations. The waitress seemed annoyed with us just for coming in. After a few minutes she came to take our order. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it came out 20 minutes later and was just sub-par. It seemed like the kitchen just slapped something together, not a good presentation, and not a good impression on me. The lettuce was actually wilted so I took it out, bread was super soggy too. Fries were not even crunchy. My friend's dish was also so-so and just mediocre. We went there for lunch today - it's a charming place with music playing, albeit a bit loud for lunchtime. Nice waitress, she recommended fish and chips which were excellent but a bit expensive for two fish sticks. The salad was good and so was the bread. The lobster ravioli was just barely warm - like it was frozen and then dropped in boiling water for too short a time. It was supposed to be made there but just because of the served temperature- it really took away from our expectations. We told the waitress who said she would tell the cook - don't know how that helps me. I've had cold food servred before and always said it was not cooked cold, but this time I think it was. There were only a few tables with customers so they can't say they were busy. $14 for four barely warm (and a bit bland) ravioli - not sure if I'll be back. Went there with a large group. The wait staff was attentive and fairly prompt. The beer selection was average, but still well rounded. The food was regular bar food. Although they had some steaks and looked like homestyle Northern Italian, it did not match that of the other Alfoccino's. I had the fish and chips and it was very, very average at best. Oil needed to be changed in the fryer. Chips were a bit soggy and were made from frozen waffle squares. My wife had Chicken Piccata which lacked any real flavor and was basically fried chicken breast over pasta. However, the manager was very nice and sent me home with the Giuseppe sauce. I can't really tell you why this sauce is their special because it really lacks character. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the prime rib special was overdone. It was still tasty, but I asked for rare and it was a solid medium. My Wife and I have been regular Patrons for quite some time. The food and service has always been great... until now. I lost mt credit card. When I realized it my wife went on the internet to see when I used it last. Aha, Wixom Station! So I called and explained my plight to whomever answered the phone. I was put on hold... ... ... 15 minutes and nothing! A lost card can go south for someone if it falls into the wrong hands and We really wanted to know if We had accidentally left it there. We only live a couple miles from there and ran up to the restaurant. We were greeted and I asked to speak to the Mgr. The young Girl asked why do I want to speak to the Mgr.? I was a bit miffed over being left on 'Hold' so I said to the young girl. "Why doesn't matter, I would like to speak with the Mgr. She walked about 5 steps over to the bar and asked the barkeep something. She came back and said "She's too busy to talk right now! Then I told her about losing my card and, being put on hold. By now the waitresses were wondering what the buzz was all about, We saw the waitress we usually have, She is great. So the girl went back to the bar, the barkeep who apparently is the Mgr. opened the till and gave her our card. Took her about 10 seconds. Remember all of this just a few steps from where We were standing. I was speechless to say the least. Although my wife and I do like this place, there are plenty of other places to go where Management and Managers are a bit more Customer friendly. Their young hostesses are not overly welcoming and tend to seat folks in clusters rather than spread them out in non-peak hours. Some wait staff are very good; others not so much. This is now my favorite restaurant as I just love everything I've had. The cajun filet bites melt in your mouth and the spinach artichoke dip with their tortilla chips, though I think of them as a sort of pita-breadish chip, is so tasty. The presentation of the shoestring potatoes in a Chinese carry out sort of container is unique and fun. The steak dishes are really good and the cheese tortellini is divine. The atmosphere is very homey though it does get a little loud when it gets crowded. The staff is very attentive and it's kid friendly too. read more

I can't speak on the thorough dining experience as there was a piece of broken plate in my salad. Mistakes happen but the following action by the "management" at Wixom Station needs to be known. Although she didn't dress, speak, or carry herself as a manager; her name was Tonya. When we showed her the broken piece of plate (which was relatively small and easily camouflaged) and relayed that it could have been possible to crack a tooth or choke, she said they would remake the salad. The point was there could be more pieces and I wasn't willing to find out. This was the unbelievable quote- "If it happens in the future, tell us first and we will remake it again." Astonished, I questioned if she was the only manger. She claimed to be. We immediately decided to leave. I really want to love this place!! The decor and atmosphere is great! The spinach and artichoke dip and breadsticks are fantastic! Highly recommend! First time I was here I got the fish and chips. They were some of the best I've had. There are several items on the menu that you should avoid. Their rice is not so good... If I was the chef, I would seriously reconsider this recipe. Also, last time I was here my boyfriend ordered one of the daily specials which was a parmesan crusted white fish. It was not cooked thoroughly and smelled horrible. I'm pretty sure the fish was bad. Several of my friends have told me how great Wixom station is. I finally had a chance to try it myself. They were right. I had the filet and it was wonderful. They have a nice beer and wine selection., I tried a couple of the craft beers my server suggested, and she was right on. Worst dining experience. boyfriend ordered a steak medium rare, They did not know how to cook it. Sent it back and it still came back well done. Katie the manager came out and said she would not comp the steak after our waitress offered to let my boyfriend pick something else.
