If you're looking for fast & good food...this is the place! This is a hidden gem in the corner. Service is quick. Food is great (burp! ) and owner & staff are friendly. What else can you ask for?

Minimal chewy pork and green beans. Terrible
    Cheven L.

This is horrendous dried out, chewy pork for the pork and green beans We spit out three pieces already. Not enough broth in the wonton soup all the wontons are smashed and pasty Salt and pepper shrimp are soggy and not even crispy packed in a plastic with no aerated packaging so that they stayed crisp. Overpriced for terrible food that seems like it's been sitting on a steam tray instead of freshly made per order. We will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN UBER EATS DELIVERED!

I can believe how this restaurant has low score, food is good, service is great, a hidden Chinese restaurant now they have dim sum, I can just order some and a soup and I am set. Place is clean and the ladies are wonderful. Is a place that I always order my Chinese food take out.

Yummy Chinese food, my son and I got the combination fried rice, garlic chicken was excellent and lemon chicken was delicious. We will be back!

Food tastes good and the portions are plenty. However the high prices really keep us from eating here too often.

Decided to try somewhere new. This place didn't disappoint. Bathrooms could have been cleaner but service and food overall was great.

Upon entry there is a takeout area where you can order hot meat dishes and to go menu or dine in. We got complimentary hot tea when seated. The interior is a bit dated compared with other restaurants of this type but the food was delicious. We got duck and preserved egg porridge, scrambled egg with shrimp, and a two bbq combo plate of char siu and roast pork. The porridge came out fast and delicious! We ate with the chili and white paper available at the table. Next came the scrambled egg and shrimp. We actually ordered the version with rice, not the entree so the servers got us some rice but missing the gravy. Lastly came the bbq combo plate. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. The roast pork however was not as crispy and kinda mealy so the sauce helped.

Now those same entrées are $20 and up I used to be able to order four dishes for around 45 to $50. Today I spent 65 for three entrées and it's barely enough for two people. The servings have gotten a lot smaller over the years. I understand the price of food has gone up. So I expect to pay higher prices. But if I'm gonna pay $20 an entrée, I expect to have a full meal for two people at least. And this was not that. The flavor is still excellent. And the service is bare none. I visited the takeout bar so I didn't have a lot of ambience. But the restaurant was crowded as usual. If they give us a little bit more food for the money, I'll be happy to give them a five star rating. Because I think they're worth it.

Everything I had was laden with this heavy, greasy, fattening stuff. If you're a fan of cooking oil, this is your go-to spot for sure. I had the "gourmet" dinner. That means Mongolian beef, my usual in basic old-school Chinese places like this. I chose won ton soup over the seafood soup choice. The broth was fine, but the won tons were thick and doughy. Not great. The beef seemed of a decent quality, but was absolutely floating in oil. This made the green and white onions too soft and mushy and dripping with oil. Ditto the very messy foil wrapped chicken appetizer, but the egg roll was okay, if bland. There are plenty of excellent choices for all types of Chinese cuisine in the Valley. No need to come here. Again though, remember I only had one dish, but I have an idea it's indicative of the entire menu.

So we decided to give them a try. WORST. CHINESE FOOD. EVER!!! There are cheap Chinese fast food takeout that are way more delicious than they are. Their food is about as below average as those cheap bad Chinese fast food takeout. The noodles and steamed rice smelled like old burlap sack! The food we ordered either had no taste, not tasty at all, or it smelled. My mom and I swore we'd never go back. A couple of weeks ago, I was craving fried noodles. I don't know why I decided to give them a try again. What a waste of money!!! One thing improved, I guess... At least the noodles didn't smell like old burlap sack. As for taste... zero, nothing, bland AF and to top it all off, the noodles were over cooked so it's mushy!!! Seriously a Chinese restaurant who can't cook noodles??? WTH??? Anyway... It was disgusting! I ate a few bites, threw away the rest. What a waste of money!!! I don't know who keeps giving them praises for their food. May be those people just don't know any better and they've never had any good Chinese food. Golden City is definitely a "HELL NO! Never again!!!" for me. Perhaps it's because I'm Chinese that I hold a higher standard, but seriously... this place was disgustingly inedible!

Walked in around 4pm and got a very nice welcome from one of their employees by the name of Jay. He was very pleasant, personable, kind of quiet and helpful. I got their Chicken Chow Mien,($13.49), Vegetable Egg Rolls ($8.99), (6 pieces), and a standard size Orange Chicken.($14.99). They have a vast menu options to choose from. The more, the merrier.. Food came out fast and quick. It was flavorful, Orange Chicken was very crispy, and everything tasted delicious!! They accept cash, credit card and that's all that I know. They do catering, to- go orders and 3rd party orders. They are also good for big groups and you can hold a party in there if you would like. This restaurant has only been around for a little less than 3 years. Relatively new. They have a lot of different types of drinks and dessert. However, I stayed with water. Has street parking, private lot shared with few other businesses. Has a gender neutral restroom.
