I've been wanting to go to this place for a really long time. They've since opened up 2 locations in NYC but I believe this one in NJ is their original location. They do not take reservations, but we were willing to wait because they have a parking lot so we just waited in the car. We waited for about 30 minutes and the food was very worth the wait!! It was so delicious. We got the beef combo for 2 and the beef bibimbap. The place looks very modern and we really enjoyed our meal here. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Walking in it smelled amazing, the kitchen was busy and it was super packed. The service was quick and friendly ofc. All the food was super tasty, mouth watering and just straight up bomb. I can't wait to come back.

I went to Wooga last week with a group of friends. It isn't all-you-can-eat (AYCE) like a lot of other KBBQ spots so naturally the price is higher if you're trying to eat the same amount of meat. Wooga does offer preset packages to make ordering easier but you can also order different meats a la carte. The meat quality is slightly higher than AYCE spots but if you're trying to eat a bunch the cost adds up quickly. Service is good and friendly. I'd come back, but I prefer AYCE spots.

(Would Give -5 Stars If Possible) VERY RACIST This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. My family and I waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seated. During that time, we watched an Asian family who arrived after us get seated before us. To make matters worse, we were initially told we would have a table, only to have that table taken away and given to someone else. The entire situation left us feeling ignored, disrespected, and unwelcome. My father-in-law is Hispanic and openly gay, and based on how we were treated compared to other customers, it felt like we were being discriminated against. Whether intentional or not, the experience was humiliating and unacceptable. After waiting that long and being treated this way, we left extremely disappointed. Customer service should be fair and respectful to everyone. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here, and we will not be returning.

Friends high recommended. Tried the platter for 3 yet quite underwhelming. Nothing really stood out. And then we order Brisket as A La Carte which was best thing of the meal. Bibimbap was very moist no texture.

Nice place for korean BBQ. It's got lots of protein choices to choose for. The waiters will help cook, cut, and handle the bbq. Their help is truly helpful and without them food wouldn't taste good. They don't take reservations and its mostly come in and wait time could go for at most 30 mins, in my experience. They also have a parking lot available with plenty of space available. Its definitely an amazing place to come for food and hangout

Wooga might just be the king of Korean BBQ in NJ I've been to plenty of Korean BBQ spots -- even in South Korea and across the US -- and Wooga is definitely up there with the best. I'm not a huge spender, but the portions here were so generous that even after ordering a modest amount, it felt like a feast! We got the small pork set for 2 and a beef brisket for my wife, kids and it was more than enough for the four of us (two adults + two kids). The food was delicious, fresh. Our server wasn't super chatty, but he was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, I can't believe I've lived in this area this long and hadn't tried this place sooner. Wooga officially holds the NJ Korean BBQ crown.

Love the quality of the food here. I've been twice and while it's pricey, the meat itself is absolutely worth it. That said, the service is very bland and not particularly friendly. But WHAT ultimately pushed me to write this review--and why I won't be returning--is the excessive use of disinfectant. While we were actively eating, staff repeatedly sprayed strong disinfectant on nearby tables, to the point where everyone at our table felt like we were inhaling chemicals while trying to enjoy our meal. I understand cleanliness, but there's a time and place. Please be more mindful and respectful of guests who are in the middle of eating your otherwise great food.

    - Service: Fast and friendly staff. - Ambiance: Pretty small restaurant. Nice and clean. - Food: Wooga is my most favorite Korean BBQ spot in New Jersey. The meat quality is just top-notch. Our server helps us cook the meat so all we need to do is just eat and enjoy. Their banchan (small plates) are also pretty good too. + Japchae is a bit too sweet and bacon kimchi fried rice is a bit too salty for my taste. It's definitely leaning on the pricey side but with the service and the meat quality, they're totally worth it. They do have some discount if you pay by cash! Will come back and recommend it to anyone!

    Beef BBQ for two

I absolutely love this place. The deal was unbeatable, they had beef for two for about $100 which is a steal. It came with all of the sides which were fresh, and included two soups. I loved the marinated steak with pineapple, very unique especially with the fresh kimchi. They didn't take reservations but the wait time was under 10 minutes, and we were served very quickly. Will definitely be going back to try the waygu steak! Pharmacist approved!

Tonight we had authentic Korean BBQ at Wooga. The food was fresh and delicious. We chose the option for dinner for five from the menu - it was just the perfect amount for us five. Staff was attentive, readily available to let us know what food was about to be served, including the meats being flipped a few times before it was ready to serve. Staff was helpful, drinks were constantly checked and refilled, Wooga lives up to its dining expectations.

We frequent Wooga at least once a month so I feel compelled to write another review for this incredible restaurant since they recently did some renovations and re-opened. Staff is super friendly and restaurant is clean. We always opt for the beef for 2 (or 4 if we're dining with friends)- always great! We especially love the marinated short rib and skirt steak. We usually also add another side like the veggie fried rice, beef noodles, or spicy octopus noodles (trust me and try it)! We like the tofu stew a lot and usually get the egg side as well. If you need additional y recommendations, definitely ask the staff. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!

    Brittany P.

The beef was marbled and everything tasted delicious! I especially loved the steamed egg and was surprised by how tall it was (A+ on presentation). The service was great and we didn't touch the meat once since our server was grilling for us. He also asked how well we wanted our meat cooked which we appreciated since not all places do that. We came at 6pm on a Sat night for 2 ppl and waited around 20-30 minutes which isn't too bad! Would recommend this place.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

That gave us enough time to have the place to ourselves and order literally everything they could think to serve us. This was easily one of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The Budae Jjigae was savory comfort, and the Shin Ramen Fried Rice was not only abundant, but served in an adorable heart shape. Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup.
