The place is nice You can seat yourself and either wait for server to take your order or pride up at the counter. A place has a pirate theme, which is really cool . The menu gives some of the dishes, pirate theme names . I had the shrimp tacos my friend had crab melt. Both dishes were really good, nice and hot and really tasty. The service is fast, friendly. It was get your own drink . I did like all the appetizers. I should have ordered one.

    Absolutely

Good vibe and the service was on point. The crab melt was amazing, went back the next day for more.

I would say this place is between a 3 and 4 *, but I'm feeling generous, so I'll say 4. We were walking around, thinking about chowder when we happened by this place. Found a decent table by the window even though it was a bit busy to start. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start, while I ordered hali and chips and friend ordered the hali wrap. All was well and good with people coming and going. I liked the mozzarella sticks and halibut breading. Not too heavy. My friend enjoyed her wrap. Here is the weird part. You order your meal at the bar first and then find a place to sit. A lady drops off the food and berates us for not saying the number of the table we were sitting at when we ordered. There is no number anywhere. No number on the table, on the barrel, on the floor, on the ceiling, on the window, on our foreheads, nothing. Heard the same thing happen to another person. It was all very odd. But, would come again because food and ambience was good. I must not have been wearing magic glasses to see the table number, but will ask for a pair if I happen to stop in again. Would recommend.

Great service, great decor, excellent food, and the red head bar tender was amazing! We came in one day for a couple drinks, had an amazing time chatting it up with the bar tender, and saw food being served that looked delicious! So we made sure to come back by the next day for a late lunch with friends. The food did not disappoint! It was the best thing all of us ate out the entire weekend we were in Long View! It was absolutely amazing! Plus we noticed the second day we were there, it looked like they had a few board games available to play, a stack of children's books available for kids to read, and really cute hand made bracelets for sale. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!

Was looking for a burger but was not able to find one but had a delish chicken wrap. Always wanted to stay in one state and have lunch or dinner in another. This place was great. Service was great, food was great, tried meed for the first time it was u guessed it great. The mushrooms deep fried yummy. Left satisfied and happy. The seats was comfortable. And i like the Calypso music. And loved the pirate theme was fun. U thought i would say great didn't u. Lol. Hubby was very happy and that is great.

After our second trip to World's End Public House on Saturday, Sept. 14, I gotta say it's a solid four stars! I had an excellent BLT! It was huge, and all the ingredients were fresh. My wife had a side salad, and she really enjoyed it as well. We shared an order of jalapeño poppers, which is what we went in for. Tasty! I enjoyed a Boom Shokolade stout, brewed with coconut and chocolate. The only downside is probably staffing. There was a skeleton at the bar, and it's appropriate since it seems like they're running a skeleton crew. Another pair of hands on deck would probably smooth out a few of the service wrinkles other Yelpers have complained about.

We visited on a very busy Kite Festival weekend, but service was great! After we were seated, about 8 more tables came in at once and the two servers quickly rallied. Beer menu was pretty varied; loved that the food menu had non-fried fish options. Kid options were broad enough and kids' pirate books were on hand for entertainment. Food was totally fine. Nothing we ate was stellar. Fry portions were minuscule, kids' macaroni clearly came from a box, no dressing on the halibut sandwich (ketchup, mustard, and malt vinegar at the table.) Overall, felt the pirate theme was excessive, the menu needs help with explanations (why name a meal something pirate-themed, only to have to explain it completely underneath? Leaning too heavily on the theme to the detriment of the visitor experience,) food seemed over-priced for the portions and mediocrity. No wait for a table and service won out here!

The service is ok but the food to me is just horrible especially compared to the rest of restaurants in town. When I get seafood I expect it to be fresh and the fish does not taste that way. The breading was falling off and the fish was chewy. The chicken strips had a weird sweet flavor and was way too hard.

The bar, waiting for our food and sipping on well made drinks .

What a breathe refresh air! Worlds End public house not only offers great food and drinks, they respect your right not to wear a mask. They follow all social distancing measures. We stopped by for some take out on our way to the beach. Very friendly folks. We would definitely support and recommend this place in the future!!

It's not big...less than a dozen tables inside, there is outdoor seating, and when the weather is nice I bet it's a great place to be on a warm summer evening. Right on the water, with views of the boats. Ilwaco itself is a bit of a dungy town, but this place offers some delicious dishes, and the ambience is cozy, & romantic. We were immediately seated, as we were the only ones at the restaurant on this cold, wet PNW day. We both ordered a cup of their crab bisque. Delicious. It really hit the spot, and warmed up our cold bones. What I really liked about it was it wasn't too salty! Both my husband and I added a bit of salt and that elevated the flavor, but I liked that the chef didn't over salt it, and gave me the choice of how much sodium I wanted to add. My husband wished he had ordered a bowl. It is delightful, flavorful and a decent amount of crab in it, as well. (I enjoyed it so much, I forgot to take a picture of it!!) The chef really knows his stuff and has a great flavor profile on the menu. My husband ordered the Helm Burger with tots. He gave them two thumbs up. The burger patty looked fresh homemade, as opposed to frozen bought at Costco. It was a decent size, & thick and juicy. With the addition of bacon to it, he was greatly satisfied. I ordered the Deckhand. Let me tell you, this was a delicious sandwich! The pork is tender and juicy, the sauce is sweet but not overly so. The picked added a wonderful crispy texture along with the sweetness of the caramelized onions....it was a tastebud explosion. So good. And so filling. I had to take 1/2 home and was a bit annoyed when I found my husband ate it the next day for lunch! I guess that just means I'll have to go back sooner than later to order it again. I'd like to also mention that the tater tots were perfectly fried and crispy! The waitress from friendly and attentive and the chef was sweet and so pleased with our compliments. Don't wait a moment longer. Get yourself to Ilwaco and check this gem of a place out! You won't be disappointed.

While I understand being the only person there to serve and what not, a prompt warning that the only flavor of pie was most definitely over a week old, soggy as could be, and full of undercooked, under mixed raw flour would have been human decency. To say this is the last time I will stop here is an understatement. Not to mention they charged me $16.75 for two slices on this paper plate and wrap. Thank you for ruining my 3 year olds excitement with what he described as "the saddest pie ever." Hopefully the food is better, but I won't be giving my money to these folks again. Best of luck

For a moment, I thought I had somehow took a wrong turn and had driven into rural Ireland. I was curious. I knew I had to check it out on our return drive home later in the day. Unfortunately, the hours posted to Yelp and Google were incorrect; either that, or the proprietors had closed early that Sunday night. Either way, they were gracious enough to let us poke about a bit before leaving, and I have to say, we will likely be making a special trip to revisit this place in the near future. The interior is warm, dimly lit, and filled with the heartwarming aroma of wood smoke from the black iron furnace, and Irish stew simmering in the kitchen. Lots of love and personal touches have been included in the interior decor: vintage artwork, framed and loose pictures, posters and newspaper clippings, antiques, tchotchkies, your standard neon bar signs, and hard wood furniture. It looks and feels lived in: a living history museum of the region, which apparently has more history than one would ascertain from driving through this tiny hamlet. Looking forward to knocking back a few drinks and enjoying a hearty meal here someday soon.

Unfortunately, our visit just did not land. The bartender appeared to be doing double duty as server, and I understand what that can do to a shift. I spent about ten years working tables and other service jobs, so I have a lot of sympathy for being overworked. Still, the service felt more than rushed. It felt brusque enough that we did not feel especially welcome. The food was passable. Nothing terrible, but nothing that made us want to come back. The local beer was also a surprise, since it did not taste especially fresh. Maybe this was an off night. I hope so. There is clearly a good idea here, but our experience was a bit of a disappointment.

Ambience - small tavern with seaside vibe with both indoor bar and table seating as well as some limited outdoor table seating. As a party of one, I elected to sit indoors at the end of the bar. As it's located on HWY30 at Portway, I imagine sitting outside could be a little noisy at times. Service - prompt and very friendly. Seemed like the sole bartender was the sole waitress as well...but she was very attentive nonetheless equally dividing her attention to a full house of customers! There appeared to be 1-2 short order cooks in the back...so small crew to handle the lunch crowd. Food - clam chowder, fish and chips, and a cider...a reoccurring meal of mine when traveling through the PNW and kinda how I like to judge one place from another. Thick NE-style clam chowder loaded with clams! Solid contender and some of the better chowder I've had as of late. The F&Cs were 3, 2-3oz sized halibut pieces fried golden brown with a huge side of string fries...also very crispy! With some lemon and malt vinegar on the fish and a refreshing cider on tap, it all went down quite well...yum! Price was reasonable, although maybe a little pricy given this was the industrial side of the riverwalk. Nonetheless, the food/drink, service, and ambience were all good! Felt his was more of a local hangout for those working at the marina as compared to, say... Astoria Brewing... a definite touristy alternative that's larger, busier, and smack dab on the riverwalk. Both are solid places offering different vibes. Definitely will be back here as well! Cheers!
