Theres two categories to their menu: Korean fried chicken and Korean food. We ordered a 7 Piece sweet and spicy along with a 10 piece drumstick in soy garlic. The chicken came out piping hot and delicious. My preference is the sweet and spicy! There's a real good kick to it and irresistibly addictive. Chicken wings are bigger compared to Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Flavors are ON POINT! The Honey Garlic flavor has the perfect amount of garlic taste that os beautiful balanced with the sweetness of honey. I'm not a big fan of garlic but this was SO GOOD. The sweet and spicy was very good too, but I think it could use more spice. It didn't kill my tastebuds, so I was able to enjoy my wings without shedding tears or sweats. I guess if it had more spice, I'd be paying for it later (which I didn't). It is my favorite and I recommend it. I'm excited to try other flavors! We also ordered the blackbean noodles and the spicy pork cupbop. The noodles were not take-out friendly. It's best to eat them freshly served. When we got home, the noodles were stuck together and it took awhile for the sauce to loosen them up. Saice was still noce and hot. We lived about 10-15 mins away. Flavor is just as you expect it to be, blackbeans. But the pork and the veggies balanced it to have a more hearty flavor. It was delicious, an upgrade to the instant noodles. My absolute favorite is the spicy pork cupbop. I've ordered twice now. It comes with a scoop of rice, japchae noodles, a bed of spinach that two fried dumplings sits on, your choice of meat, and sauces drizzled ontop. It was heavy and VERY plentiful. It fed my husband and me. Japchae noodles was good and flavorful. The sauces had a good amount of heat and the spicy pork was spicy (could always be spicier lols). Wow--was I surprised to learn that San Antonio has a Korean fried chicken restaurant. I have been "jonesing" to try some Korean Fried chicken after watching a bunch of Korean dramas on Netflix. Anyhow, I was on a quest to get some Kalbi (Korean BBQ and banchan) from a nearby Korean market with a little known restaurant inside when I spotted this place. Korean Chicken and Cupbop is just a small little spot off Rittiman road. The focus is on fried chicken wings and fried drumstick covered in different sauces, kind of like the Korean version of WingStops. I ordered honey garlic and sweet and spicy wings. I can't tell you which one was which; however, I found one to be too sweet & sticky for me. I also ordered some seafood soup with noodles. Go check them out. This is a unique, but not fancy dining experience in San Antonio. The prices are reasonable and the portions were plentiful. I will go back and try some different flavors for the wings and try this thing called cupbop which is Korean BBQ in a cup that is growing in popularity across the U.S. Y'all know how we do, you better go get you some.
