Stopped in for lunch during a brief rainstorm.. waited a very long time ( more than 10 minutes) before we were acknowledged, spoken too or even offered a menu.. Several staff members walked right past us going back and forth without a word... finally got a seat (it's a small place) and placed an order. Food was served fairly quickly and eventually got a server to come back and check on us.. Nice place, fabulous desserts, maybe just not the right day for me to visit.. This was our best experience in Savannah. The atmosphere is just perfect. Cozy, beautiful, and relaxing. It was so easy to have a long conversation without extra noise. We were surprised when they brought out a small deviled egg appetizer with smoked salmon on top. What an unexpected start to a great meal. Keep in mind that the menu changes frequently. I had the shrimp risotto and my wife had the steak frites. They were both perfectly cooked. For dessert, I had the life changing Key Lime Pound Cake and my wife had the Pecan bar. Oh goodness! We were taken care of by an attentive waiter and the owner added a special treat to our experience. The price is excellent for the quality of food and the service. My husband and I visited this cafe for lunch 2 weeks ago. We were in Savannah for 3 days and dined at some very good restaurants. This cafe stands out as one of the best meals we had while there. The coffee was outstanding. I had the Chicken Caesar salad. Huge portion with delicious chicken breast meat and wonderful dressing. My husband said his roast beef sandwich was the best he's ever eaten. Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. The young girl who waited on us was very sweet and attentive. Such a fabulous dinner! If I were visiting Savannah longer, I would return every single night. Everything was fantastic, from the amuse-bouche to the salad (so good!) to the seared snapper and shrimp pappardelle entrees to the dessert. Would give this place 0 stars if I could. The older gentleman that works here has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Everything was said with such attitude and he was completely rude for no reason. Edit to add: I sat down because I'm disabled and needed to sit for just a second and order a water. We were there for 3 minutes (as one of us started a phone call upon us sitting so we have the time there), this man had a preconceived notion that we were "obnoxious privileged youth" as you see below. Which we are all adults, I'm almost 30. Thanks for that compliment. He in no way approached us kindly to offer menus, where we were planning to order at. One of us paused to answer but obviously felt unwelcome to which she replied "no thank you" and began to leave. This man then stated "Well then these are MY tables leave" with the most attitude (e.g., tone, voice, & body language) I've ever seen from an older gentleman. There was absolutely ZERO videos or photographs being taken, the one on the phone was on facetime with her mom, which is where he most likely came up with this assumption. There was no inappropriate poses as we were literally just sitting in a chair... I dont know who hurt you but please be kinder to individuals you know nothing about. (For anyone else reading this, please read the other reviews on his behavior and his responses to them, make your own judgement). Just stopped in by chance touring the city. Great find for a quick lunch. Quiche with sausage, tomato and mozzarella was very good though could have been served hotter. Such a great lunch! I had a chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta that was absolutely delicious. The bread was warm and the chicken salad was cool and the combination was absolutely decadent when I combined it with their signature blood orange mimosa. The mimosa was very small, only 4 or 5 ounces, but certainly enough for a middle of the day drink and it was only $4 which is a steel for an alcoholic drink downtown. read more

The location and ambience is soothing, restful and uplifting all at the same time. Which sometimes I need in this busy little town. I recently needed a gift basket last minute and I called Wright square cafe. Michael curated the perfect basket for me and delivered it the next morning. The recipients were delighted! He even included some gluten free and dairy free items which was amazing! It is not always easy to find these options in Savannah, but Michael made it happen. We were walking the dog and wanted a little something for breakfast and I have been wanting to check this place out for awhile. There were two outdoor tables so we could eat there with our dog. I asked if I should order the chocolate croissant or chocolate chip muffin. The muffin was highly recommended so I got that with hot black tea. It was a cool morning. I'm willing to give this place a second try, I certainly wasn't wowed with the first time. My biggest flaw with the place was none of the chocolates had prices on them. I ask the guy working what the range of prices were. I was told most of the top shelf were in the $3+ range and so on from there with most towards the bottom being 75 cents. I wanted to try a few pieces and didn't want to ask the price of every single thing in the case, so I picked 2 from the bottom 2 shelfs. My total for the two chocolates was $6.50+ (can't remember the exact total). Umm... yea, not exactly 75 cent or even close! I got a Funfetti and Sea Salt Caramel The sea salt caramel was amazing! Not $3 amazing but still pretty great. The funfetti- chocolate ganache covered by chocolate with sprinkles and a jelly bean on top. This place is a true gem in Savannah! Great spot for lunch or an afternoon snack. Haven't had a chance to try brunch yet, but that's next on my list. I had a ham and cheese croissant, with a side salad. The toasted sandwich was a nice size and the balsamic dressing was delicious. I wanted to finish my lunch with a piece of their fabulous chocolates, but seeing that it's just after the holidays, I decided I should be good. Saving that little treat for another time.
