I had lunch here twice during a recent visit to Savannah. The first visit my wife and I shared a couple of wraps and soups (clam chowder and mushroom). Everything was tasty, although not cheap. Very cute decor. Clean and friendly staff. A LOT of chocolate options here. From truffles to covered pretzels. I was a bit put off by the fact that the sandwiches were pre-made. I opted for the pastrami panini. It was decent...not great just ok. They have a few pre-packaged gluten-free items; graham crackers, cookies and candies. Specialty items like homemade jams, pickled veggies and cheese plate sets for unique gift options. Worth a visit. read more

The Truffles are amazing!! They have classic truffles with an unfathomable amount of flavors, along with fun, fancy and cute truffle designs in every flavor you can think of, champagne, beer, tiramisu etc... Seriously the list could go on forever! We just got truffles and some really fun picnic type wine bag/flask that can hold an entire bottle of wine. I will stop here every trip! read more

This place is cozy & yummy! I went here for a bowl of soup since the weather was perfect for it. I got the loaded baked potato soup & it was perfect! Just the right temp without being too hot to eat right away. Menuhad lots of delicious sounding items from wraps to baked goods! They even have vegetarian options! I'll definitely be back to try the curry chicken salad & a 7 layer bar! read more

Loved checking this quaint place out for some chocolate treats. One of the owners, Anthony made it so fun to pick our chocolates. Theirs are from different regions. This place is a must. Found this place on our walk through Savannah. We had the Whiskey Carmel Ganache Brownie, WOW! It was so good. My wife isn't a Pecan Pie person but I so wanted the Bourbon Pecan Pie, it looked amazing. We also picked up some chocolates from the shop. Very good place to visit! read more

Perfect for all chocoholics. The chocalatier side of the cafe sells specialty chocolates, raw honey, and other edible gift items. The store is small and quaint. It has a very home style feeling as if you are in a relative's kitchen and the staff promote this feeling. They are all extremely friendly and welcoming. The chocolates are top quality. I had the dark chocolate covered orange peels and dark covered apricot. The hubby tried the chocolate marshmallow. Each piece was devoured quickly and definitely left us wanting more. We were invited back for lunch tomorrow! read more

I can't believe the reviews here. I live near the store, I've been in three times. The owner was so rude to the employees and then ignored me each time! I read all this stuff about supporting local business, and then I see a place like this and it drives me bonkers. They stay alive because of tourists who don't know any better. Feel sorry for the tourists. They also have a new location near Isle of Hope. Checked them out, too. It looks nice inside, they spent some money on the interior. But, used the bathroom and saw the cook come out of the stall after going number (2) and he didnt wash his hands, just went back to the kitchen. Then, I had soup, French Onion, and it came out in a small styrofoam cup. It was cold, their were cheap croutons on top, and three small shreds of cheese. I complained, and the people there apologized, etc., and seemed nice enough. But, they shouldn't run a restaurant, or they should step back and hire someone who does know. Never going back read more

If you like fake chicken in your chicken salad and microwaved eggs on a Burger King croissant in your morning sandwich, this is the place for you. On the other hand, if you prefer real meat in your dishes (and I'm not even saying organic here, just real) avoid this place at all costs. They will tell you sweet treats are baked fresh. Thats a hoot, they are from Sysco. I've seen the same lemon blueberry bars at more than one place... sad because it has such potential, but it cuts corners on product, and food most certainly is not made fresh that day. Fresh doesnt look like wilted lettuce, dead tomato and gummy, wet wrapper on a wrap when its made fresh that day. I've tried this place twice and will never go here again, even tho it's convenient and relatively cheap. Its that bad! read more

While on the second part of our honeymoon, K and I took a late afternoon stroll and happened upon Wright Square Cafe. The clerk (who turned out to be an accomplished chef trained at the CIA) was helpful and personable. I had a vanilla latte (hot, hot, HOT and good, good, GOOD!) and K tried their red velvet cake, which she inhaled and pronouced excellent. I was eyeballing both the Beehive ganache as well as the chocolate-bacon ganache....so I may sneak back tomorrow to sample both before leaving ! The dining area of the cafe is inviting and warm, with pleasant earth tones. The mustard-colored lighting fixtures are a particularly appealing touch, and the screens separating the back from the front of the room was a clever twist. Though we didn't have any of the wraps, they looked fresh and tempting. Had we been there at lunch, I would certainly have had one. read more

I had the baked chicken wrap. The flavor combinations were superb - it had fig caramelized onions, walnuts, and feta. Among the best food I've ever had in a cafe. I was only in Savannah for three days, but I made a point of coming back to Wright Square Cafe to try another wrap - a warm Southwest wrap, plus a cold veggie wrap for the plane ride home. I FINALLY went in here after passing it countless times in the last year. I must say, their truffles are amazing. Definitely worth a stop in, they have enough flavors to satisfy just about anybody. I recommend the pomegranate truffle, it is truly to die for. I made a vow to treat myself to these more often! Savannah needs more places like this. I was a bit disappointed. The people that work there were really nice, but the only good thing I had was the soup of the day....chicken and dumpling. That still needed a little extra salt and pepper. My wrap would have been better had I not gotten it warmed up...hot lettuce is not appetizing. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be trying this place again. read more

I simply prefer a roast beef on white. But wow. High quality beef, nicely modified mayo, excellent provolone, fully ripened thick slice of tomato, and the best tasting pickles ever. That was one well executed sandwich. read more

We began and ended our Savannah Foody Tour here (recommend that also). The cafe is locally owned and it shows though their southern hospitality and delicious food. Along with their deli sandwiches and wraps they offer some amazing truffles. Try the Bleu Cheese Truffle. I know it sounds weird but it really is delicious. read more

For its sandwiches, (Or at least the one the better half and I shared) I give it one star. It had the taste that it had been made hours earlier and then packaged and put in the cooled display case. I suppose I was expecting something a little better than you might get out of a sandwich machine. The Chocolate we tried (Bacon Truffle) was good, but was a bit more Dark Chocolate than the better half generally enjoys. There are a LOT of choices, and I have no doubt this is the area where Wright Square excels. I would skip stopping in for a meal and come to visit just for the Chocolate. read more

This place is pretty good. I think it's a little odd that the cold sandwiches are pre-made, but I always get a panini and it's always very good. There are a lot of options, and their salads are really good. They also have pasta salad, fruit salad, and delicious dessert options! As for the chocolate, I can't say that it's very good. It all seems as if it's been sitting out for days and maybe weeks. It's good chocolate, it just tastes old. However, their selection of wrapped chocolate is fantastic and they have a lot of different teas you can buy. Awesome place! The owner was super nice and talked to me about the chocolatiers that he gets his chocolates from. Was so great to get the back story on the treats behind the glass and he's got an excellent selection :-) No prices on the front end of the case for the truffles, but this wouldn't have really affected my decisions. Delicious! Stopped in looking for a light lunch and found caprese was the special. Chose the salad over the sandwich along with a perfect peach iced tea. Salad was simple and also perfect. Generous mozzarella and the best tomatoes of the season. Topped with a lovely pesto balsamic dressing. Wouldn't change a thing! Nice value and very nice owners. read more
