Since my car is drivable, Dai helped me ordered the parts first (I paid a refundable deposit) and we waited for the Tesla parts to arrive first before I took my car in for work. Once the parts are in, service was fast, quick and reliable. Dai texted and updated me on what he is doing and when the car will be ready. I was always in and out very quickly. The front desk staff is great as well, they helped with my rental car and made the experience very smooth. Just got my car back yesterday and I gotta say Dai and his guys are the best! Grade A quality work! A buddy of mine recommended me this shop and I don't regret it one bit! Manager went over each line on quote with me to explain why some parts are Replace and Install while some parts are Replace Only (not reusable per Manufacture Suggested) such as chrome belt weather strip as well as clear bra/protective film. He even explained the insurance car rental process to me along with general insurance lead times and procedures. What was really impressive was the tour of the paint clean rooms, I saw their attention to detail carried through from the front office to the back workshops. Extra stars on customer service because they send progress updates via text and pictures. Additional bonus that they have close ties with Hertz on Brokaw because of proximity, Hertz picked me up at Xcel when I turned in my car, then later I dropped off the rental at Xcel when my car was ready for pick up. read more

I had dented the front left fender of my 2013 Hyundai Elantra and needed it replaced with a new fender (pre-painted) I bought. I also wanted the original headlights switched out for an aftermarket pair that I had purchased. I emailed Xcel Collision on a Sunday and received a response from Dai Nguyen the next morning. He was friendly, courteous, and he provided me with a reasonable quote for all the replacement work. I scheduled an appointment the following week right when they open at 8am. I arrived a few minutes early and was glad to see the shop was already open (I was worried I'd have to wait.) The office inside was very clean and neat with plexiglass dividers, clear social distancing markings on the floor, sanitizers, and a "new" vs "used" cups for pens. The front desk had a sign with all their rates for different services, so you can see all the costs upfront. Dai greeted me, I filled out some paperwork, and dropped off my car. It was ready for pickup that same afternoon by 2pm. They did all the work as promised, no extra charges came up, and they did a great job. Dai had called me once to give me an update on the work, and then afterward he texted when it was ready for pickup. They gave my car a free wash and also dusted and vacuumed the interior of my car (dashboard, console, seats, floor) and trunk for free! That was a very pleasant surprise. My car was in an accident for the first time where it became a total loss. ): I'm just lucky that I wasn't in it. Accidents are never great, but they happen and when they do, I'm really thankful for places like Xcel Collision Center. A truck backed up into my car and ruined my hood. I went to several body shops to get estimates and this place offered the best pricing for me. They are quick to respond and are open on Saturdays til noon! All the other body shops I went to were only open M-F and 5:30pm the latest. As someone with a busy schedule I couldn't take time off work to get my car checked. Fortunately I was able to schedule an appointment on a Saturday to get an estimate. The estimate procedure was fairly fast and took around 20 minutes. They printed me a copy to give to the insurance company to process. Then I submitted and waited until the insurance company got back to me. After hearing back from the insurance company, I was able to easily make a drop off appointment to get my car fixed! I dropped it off on a Saturday. I was originally planning on taking a Lyft home, but they offered to drop me off home! So nice! They were able to order the parts on Monday and get my car done by Wednesday. Throughout the procedure Dai would text me with updates. I was busy that week and couldn't pick up my car but they were really nice and allowed me to store my car there until the Saturday after when I was available for pick up. Their customer service is amazing and they sure know how to stay on top of things! They are very thorough and transparent on how they do things and explained clearly their procedure and pricing. This is by far the best experience I've ever had related to car issues! Having had a horrible experience with another local collision repair center in the neighborhood, I was expecting to be frustrated during the process, but happily I was wrong. Someone had rear-ended by vehicle so it had to go in. While it was in the shop, I decided to also open with my insurance for some front end damage I had caused while hitting a pole. I was treated so well. They handled everything, from coordinating my rental car (and having the rental company pick me up on site and negotiating for a car that was equal in size and functionality to my Xterra)to the discussions with both insurance companies (the other drivers insurance was trying to get my car totaled, I am so glad they didn't succeed). I received frequent updates during the process, via email and telephone. I am so pleased that I have recommended Xcel to the owner of the company for which I work and we are now going to use them exclusively. It seems silly for me to be so enthusiastic about a collision center, but it really was an experience that exceeded my expectations and made a situation that I expected to be nothing but an extremely frustrating hassle into an easy and pleasant experience. I've taken my MINI here twice, once in 2016 after being swiped by a Greyhound Bus and again recently after a large dent appeared on my hood overnight. The major damage repair on my MINI was extremely thorough and attentive to the smaller details.. you wouldn't have ever known that the my entire drivers side was nearly scraped off! In December 2019, I was involved in an accident at a retail store parking lot. This happened to my super white 2019 Toyota Tacoma Off Road before my first oil change. :( The truck sustained damage to the driver side fender, doors and suspension components. The front driver side tire was also damaged from the drive home. The inner sidewall had a slight groove in it from a suspension part rubbing on it. I called Ameriprise (Costco insurance), opened a claim and they sent me a list of the body shops in the area. I had not been involved in an accident in over 15 yrs. I had no contacts in the auto body repair industry. I was clueless about which body shop to trust with my repairs. My priority was to preserve my investment and to get my truck back to factory specifications. I started to research shops and the things to look for (certs). I narrowed it down to a few body shops. I called the shops on my list and asked them a few questions (i.e. were both body work and mechanic work performed in house??) All the shops on my list mentioned that they would have to use a third party shop to perform the mechanical repairs. Xcel Collision Center was the only shop on my list that did all the work in house. They even mentioned that if the repair was not something that they could handle in house, that they would subcontract it to a local Toyota dealership, right on! Xcel has all the right certifications and backed the work up with a limited written lifetime warranty. On top of that, they were on the list from Ameriprise. Ameriprise also provided a lifetime warranty if I used a shop from their list. Double whammy!! He really takes the time to listen to the customer and make sure that they are completely satisfied with all aspects of the services provided. Dai sent a tow truck to my house and my truck was delivered to Xcel. He did a thorough initial inspection, provided me with a preliminary estimate and what to expect next. Dai was awesome with keeping me updated while my truck was being repaired. He would even text me pictures of the progress. "Xcel"lent! When my truck was finished I picked it up and the body work looked great. Great job Xcel team! Dai handed me my warranty paper work and the alignment numbers. Everything looked good. However, when I initially drove the truck home, I noticed the truck pulled to the right ever so slightly. I'm very in tune with my belongings and I know when something is not right. He had the alignment redone again! But it was not the alignment. We went on a test drive and I showed Dai what I was concerned about. The root cause was the new tire, it was causing the pulling. (I googled some key words and read online that this happens sometimes when a single tire is replaced new.) After some rotating of the tires he delivered the truck to me at my work (near by). Awww yes, I knew right away we were good! The truck drove just like it did before the accident; no pulling, straight and smooth as butter (for a truck). I have never written a yelp review for a business! But after Dai treated me with such respect and listened to my concerns, I was compelled to do just that! If you are looking for a shop to fix your vehicle, do yourself a favor take it to Xcel Auto Collision, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Dai and the Xcel team for getting my truck back to factory specifications and on the road again!! BTW, Just 1 week after my truck was repaired by Xcel someone hit my truck while parked. WTF!? I opened up another claim with the insurance and took it back to Xcel. Dai looked at it and said, I can polish that off right now if you have 5 mins. When it was done it looked like it never even happen. Dai then tells me to close my claim with my insurance, there is no need for it. Mind blown! The body work done is very good. They use OEM parts and their weld job is excellent. Biggest problem though, is that after getting my car there was this smell emanating from the A/C. They must've ended up using the A/C to what seems like all day for a week during their work. The end result is that my A/C has that nasty musty smell. Never had that smell before in the car (and I've left my car out for weeks at a time unused). How do I know they used A/C? Because when I turned on the car the A/C was on (I never leave it on before shutting the car), had a smell, and my MPG after half a tank was 17 mpg (versus normally 33). I now have to lysol my vents to rid the smell. Dai just contacted me b/c of this review. I suppose if you have an issue tell him when you get the chance. He would seem to be friendly enough to fix it. So I regret not tell him earlier, but this should not have happened in the first place. read more

This shop deserves to receive 5 stars or perfect score as an infiniti certified collision repair center (and other car makers)unlike other network that listed in infiniti website such as Pan America(both Fremont and San Jose location) who kept my car for 2 months with performed very poor job. They broke my door lock after painted door and used a zip ties to repair door lock instead of using actually part which was discovered by xcel collision. Xcel collision helped to address all the problems that done by Pan which consider best customer service ever. Xcel Collision Center is the best bodyshop I have ever experienced! I wish I could score it with 10 stars! I just had my BMW 328 repaired there. Their action was really quick, and never made latency to the work. The repair technicians there are super experienced (more than 30 years experiences I heard), s.t the service has very high quality. They ordered the bumper and other parts at the first second, and repaired the car within 2 days! Moreover, although the insurance sucks and the response was very slow, thankfully Dai helped me keep calling them, and asked them to get the inspection/paperwork done with shortest duration. Dai also asked the insurance company to approve the original BMW bumper for me, instead of the aftermarket one the insurance company asked before. So professional and honest!! I have to say that their custom service is extremely wonderful. Dai texted me every detail on time about repairing status with real fixing images, insurance company inspection updates. I have taken both my Tesla Model S and 3 here and they do great work, update me regularly about progress, including photos and are immediately available if I have any questions. My model S had been repaired (someone backed into the rear bumper in a parking lot) by Service King in Santa Clara 4 years ago and after a year the paint started cracking and "dripping"- it was no longer smooth and the rear sensors began falling into the bumper. When I went back to Service King, they said they no longer repair Teslas. I took it to Xcel and they ordered a new bumper and noted that the sensors were not properly mounted (all still covered under insurance). It has been a year now and the paint is still in great shape. I just brought my 3 in which was rear ended on the freeway and they, once again took great care of me. When they removed the bumper, they found some damage underneath and were able to get replacement parts immediately. It looks great! I was primarily helped by Dai, the owner. Again, great service. Attention Tesla owners! Look No further. Forget Tesla dealership! Xcel is the ONE! I chose Xcel because of the FIVE Star rating. Xcel is Tesla certified auto repair shop. I had a minor accident on my Tesla Model 3. A van rear-ended my vehicle while it was parked. It has few dents and scratches on the bumper. Daniel A. was my advisor. I am so impressed with his integrity, honesty, and professionalism. The front office staff - Anh is also awesome to talk to. Daniel assessed and evaluated the damages on the bumper and came up with a very detailed and reasonable repaired costs. I was so relieved and felt that I did not need to take my car for another estimate. The repair cost was super reasonable. But, the customer service is not the BEST part about Xcel. It's ITS detail repaired work that is what I am so impressed about. My car looks like brand a NEW Tesla Model 3 after the repair on the bumper It looks amazing!
