This place is just incredible. The people are so talented and what they do and the desserts make you want more. Is anything better than the smell of a warm crêpe as you're walking up to this place? It's absolutely intoxicating. But then there's the desserts. The macaroons, the cream filled empanadas, and the flan is out of this world. Again, if you're in the area, this place is totally worth a try. But I will warn you, their food is so good that it's addicting.

What a lovely cafe! In the area and needing some coffee/pastries so happy to find this place. Located DT it's a cozy nook and easy to pass right by. Once inside the aromas are immediate. Wide variety of pastries and treats. As well as crepes and desserts. Lots of options! I ordered a cafe de olla and a variety of cookies. Oh and didn't forget that guava empanada. Yum! Excellent spot. Recommend!

My adventures led me to this cute bakery coffee shop serving a wide array of specialty desserts. I normally would go for the crepes, but I was too full and decided to order some almond brittle, almond croissant, and almond cookie to go. I was in an almond mood, if you can't tell. I also tried the caffe de olla, which is a brown sugar and cinnamon coffee. I don't really care for the coffee, but the desserts were tasty. Free parking lots all around. Some seating outdoor. Casual. Service is good.

I found Xielo during a work trip. It's a super cute small artisan shop in downtown Oxnard. It low key reminded me of a small Mexican town desert artisan store where my grandmother pastries were found! I had the Nutella crepe (strawberries, bananas, Nutella & sweet condensed milk), and it tasted like a fusion of fresas con crema and Nutella bana crepe..... soooooo good!!!! I also tried the flan, super creamy and not overly sweet so that's was a plus +++ I did get a variety of cookies and a guayana con queso empanada and AGAIN sooooo good. I will definitely come back to get MORE CREPES AND MORE PASTRIES. If you are in the area or even visiting near by, Xielo is a MUST try.

ALWAYS a crowd pleaser. This was actually my 2nd time in line the same day. I had to return for more goodies to bring back to LA.

Love this place have for the past couple years. Been going to Oxnard once a week for the past 3 weeks. So that means I have to make a stop at Xielo. Picked up some cookies, pan de nodal, cheese danish which was just ok, a blueberry stressed also not as impressive as the other baked goods, a couple of monster ice coffees (lrg 32 oziced coffees), small cafe de olla, a jesuitas, even a quiche. Can't just get one thing here. They stay busy for good reason. The owner is nice to everyone. He had a usual stop by and it was nice to see him in a different light even nicer somehow. The place is small but filled with treasures.

Finallllllly I found a place with amazing Cafe de Olla! I have been searching high and low but thanks to Erica G. (fellow YES member) I finally found it! This place is located in downtown Oxnard, parking is limited, and if you drive too fast - you might miss it . When I arrived, there was a line outside so I knew I was in for a treat. The shop smelled really good, as a coffee / pastry shop should, and the staff was nice and patient as it was my first time there. I ordered the Cafe de Olla off of a recommendation, a pistachio macaroon, and an almond croissant. 10/10, 10/10, and 10/10 (next time, I'm going to warm my croissant up though) The cafe de olla wasn't too strong and had just the right amount of orange zest. Having had a macaroon from a previous location recently, this one really took the cake in regards to taste and size, and the croissant had the perfect amount of almond / glaze to croissant ratio. Overall - I'm sad they are closed today (Monday) cause I would be heading over there right now!

Happy 7th anniversary (2.25.24) ! So happy to have you in our community. I have been a customer since day 1. I used to go more for the cafe de olla here but now I go for the fraps! Today, I got the large cajeta frap which i didn't realize was 32oz. Holy moly! Huge for 8.99 and so good! It was busy today with a line out the door! Soo many people happy to celebrate that they continue providing excellent desserts /drinks and crepes! Always cute, neatly organized and I love the touches of Mexico everywhere! So happy I stopped by! They were super sweet and gifted each person with a "7" shortbread cookie as a thank you! They also had raffles and gifts for customers! Cheers to many many many more!

Went to Xielo today , got there right before they closed - truly thee best cafe de la olla! Their polvorones cookies are such a treat. Quick great service with a smile, always a vibe, love their plants and how they support the community. Also love how it's located in a historic landmark (Woolworth)! #coffeelovers #shoplocalbusiness #CafeDeOlla #latinafoodie #xielo

Parking can be a bit hard there's a parking structure across the street. The store is a bit small but there's no sit down so you'd have to order to go. There's coffee options as well as crepe and pastries options as well. We ordered the Nutella crepe and the xielo crepe both were good. The portions was good enough to make you full. The services was quick.

Absolutely LOVE this place! I have driven to Oxnard just for their Cafe de Olla. The Jesuita is another one of my favorites, which is Oaxacan hot chocolate with Cafe de Olla. Will literally transport you to Mexico. In my case, my childhood! The flavors are so authentic. The place is small, so there aren't any tables to sit, but they do have some benches if you want to enjoy your food there They have a selection of traditional Mexican cookies, which are also delicious. You can purchase them individually or by the dozen. But the Crepes oh my! I haven't been able to resist the dessert style crepes. They are delicious!! The fruit is always fresh and abundant. The service has always been amazing! This is definitely one of my favorite places in Oxnard! Parking can be tricky, so just be prepared for that! Well worth it!!!

    Nutella Crepe

Great place with fast service. A small shop with a nice easy going ambience. I went on Sunday afternoon, ordered a Nutella Crepe and received my order in a timely manner. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Everything on their menu is amazing. My go to is their croissant sandwiches and horchata iced latte! I'd definitely be a repeat customer!

They also have a contract with them to serve their complementary breakfasts so we decided to hit them up for dinner. When we entered we were greeted by Mike, at least I thought it was as his shirt talked about how good/cool Mikes are. He was very nice and accommodating and made some recommendations. I was intrigued by his description of the Dynamite Sticks and promptly ordered the ground pork version. When they arrived i started to get a little apprehensive by the look of them but within ten minutes we had emptied the plate. It was a little too spicy but I enjoyed them. A while later my Rib Eye entree arrived and it was good and priced fairly. I feel the salad seemed a little bland and basic but I still crushed it. All in all the dinner was a good and pleasant experience with just a bit of wait. The next morning we went for the hotel's complementary breakfast. It was slammed so we grabbed a spot at the bar. It took about 10 minutes to get or drink order in and another 15 to get our order in and when we did we were rushed and the waitress walked away before we could order more food as the Hotel's complementary breakfast meal was far too small. We were there for about an hour before we got our food. It seemed as though the workers were confused and running in circles. Food tasted good and they even had the good creamer for the coffee. Also, Mike seemed to be there in the morning too and good thing as he seemed to show up and get everything going. I would definitely visit this place again but not for breakfast.

The latte was strong and not too sweet. The blueberry syrup they used didn't mix well with the drink and I had clumps of it in the bottom, no matter how hard I stirred it. This meant that some sips had no blueberry flavor and others too much. My brother got the Hibiscus Desert Rose Iced Tea. It was good but not necessarily anything special. Also, the cream/milk they added to it kept separating. The biggest thing for me was the price. It was around $25 for both of our drinks which is very expensive. If the drinks were incredible then I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, but I don't think they are worth the price.

While we were looking at the menu outside, there was an employee standing by the entrance, but we were never greeted or informed that there was a waitlist for dine-in seating. Since we've always ordered at the register and then found a table after, we did the same thing as usual. While I was placing our order, my sister sat at an empty table and was told to leave because there was an hour waitlist. We were genuinely confused b/c we had no idea there was a waitlist, and of course we immediately apologized & left the table. We felt terrible and offered to switch our order to takeout to avoid any inconveniences, the employee remained dismissive and rude throughout our interaction. I'm not sure if she thought we did it on purpose, but she took off with an attitude. We understand it's busy, it could be frustrating and stressful, but that interaction wasn't necessary, it was a clear misunderstanding and we asked switched to take out to avoid issues or taking someone else's spot. We also noticed other customers making the same mistake, which made it seem like the seating process wasn't clearly communicated. A simple greeting or letting customers know there was a waitlist before ordering would have completely avoided the misunderstanding instead being dismissive. I also don't recall seeing "please wait to be seated" sign or I'm not sure if we missed it ? Despite this experience, we still plan on coming back b/c we truly enjoy the food and the cafe itself. They do have great service, they did not give us any issues changing the order to take out. They understood it was a misunderstanding of the seating. It could have just been a bad day for that specific employee that was rude , but we just hope there can be better communication for customers in the future.
