I have food sensitivities and allergies in addition to being vegan so I know I can be a pain in the ass sometimes when it comes to ordering. I asked for a substitution and although the gentleman initially declined, he made an exception today so that I could get the bowl I really wanted. It may have cost $0.75 cents but they made a profit of $4.25...because of that one act of good customer service I decided to purchase a cold-pressed juice that I initially declined (they had a promo going on). The place was kind of hard to find but we found it and the cashier was really nice and knowledgeable. However, I probably should have tried an Acai bowl or cup or something. I was craving fresh pressed juice and my usual juice place is so far. So bf and I stopped here and I got one of their two green juices with no celery; apple bomb I think. The bf got a coconut smoothie. My gripe is that the juice tasted old, I'm no juice expert but it just tasted like it was more than a few days old. It was also quite expensive for something that wasn't all that fresh. They had a small display fridge where the juices were kept. My usual juice place has a super large commercial fridge and their juice ALWAYS tastes fresh. Maybe their fridge needs to be colder to keep the juices fresh a little longer. Customer service was good, but the bowl I got wasn't completely blended and the toppings were minimal in comparison to what I have received before. I barely received any granola. I also loved that you can basically substitute your toppings or type of liquid without being charged. Also, it wasn't overly sweet. my first time going to yago juice was last saturday . i always heard great things about the place from friends and figured i should try it out . i went and everything seemed really in order and the place is well put together . I ordered a long shore man but i was disappointed when i got it handed to me. The bowl was filled up 2/3 of the way and i paid 8.25$ for it. No one mentioned any sizes but i saw the cups next to the cashier and assumed it would be filled up all the way but it wasn't. i also did not get a good amount of granola . there was barely any in there. When I first started coming here, I loved it! Seriosuly came in every other week for my favorite, local press. My yelp review was even on their glass display LOL By now I know everything in it by heart right? However, my last three visits have been very disappointing. Second time, they didnt have any more cacao nibs so we asked if they can substitute it for anything else and she said she would have to charge us. Idk that didnt make any sense to me. Today, they forgot cacao nibs and coconut shreds. And not only that, we were the only guests waiting when another customer came in 5 minutes after us and got their order BEFORE us. When you have 4 people behind the stand, that shouldnt have happened. That doesnt make any sense either. For a $9 acai bowl im expecting perfection where I shouldnt have to check and make sure they didnt forget anything. I shouldnt feel the need to have to remind them whats in a local press.
