This is such a great deal and you can cook the meat on the grill. The ventilation is excellent no smokiness. I am picky when it comes to any type of bbq but this place was a easy 5 stars for me. You order by a QR code and pay right at your table as soon as you order. Great for people who don't like waiting for the bill! The quality of the meat is really good for what you're paying. Service was really good and they cater to everything you need. Inside is clean and pretty minimalistic (easy on the eyes). Fun place to come with friends or family. Random but they also have a good vent system so even though the fire grows a bit with fatty meats, the vents prevent you from getting burned. Overall, I think this place is slept on and more people should come try it! read more

Was so excited to see they open a branch in Hawaii! We enjoyed it when we were in Osaka. It was our go to whenever we were out too late and just wanted a quick meal there. Went for the grand opening $9.95 special on a weekday. There was already a line at 11am but everyone was able to get in without wait. The inside is spacious and clean. Food came out quickly. 2 Key points: The meat quality super good for the price, tender and tasty. It's a great value that bowl of rice is big and the meats are delish I do have a big complaint tho. That kimchi is so bad. I thought I was overthinking it but my partner agreed, and a friend who went the day prior also agreed. I was actually surprised at how bad the kimchi was. For that reason I wouldn't go back, feels like a waste since the interior is so nice, and the service is so fast. If they changed their sides a bit would go back. Finally went here. We luckily found parking in the lot they're in but it is tricky. Nice interior. Got seated right away. You scan a QR code and order and pay first before getting everything. My husband and I ordered two grand reopening sets for 9.99 plus we got 3 meats a la carte. I think that was definitely worth it. Everything was yummy! Staff was very nice and service was great! I wasn't sure about the process of ordering on my phone and paying first each time we wanted to order more food, but it ended up being a very convenient and TRANSPARENT process. My family and I usually opt for AYCE experiences because we're afraid of the bill getting out of control if we do an ala carte experience, but this process allowed us to order without worrying about the cost surprising us. We actually had a better meal at a much lower price than if we did AYCE for everyone. Everyone ordered as much as they wanted. For 2 adults and 2 teens, we ended up spending $32/person, including tip. Not bad at all! I recommend that you go right now, because they have their grand opening special of a kalbi set for $9.95, which is a great starting point for each person in your group. You get rice, salad, soup, kim chee, and a little bit of kal bi (thick cut and short plate) to get you started. Add a few veggies and a few more meats, and you've got yourself a decent spread for a good price. They really took the old Pot Pot/Green Papaya space and made it so nice that you can't even remember what it used to look like. We went here with some friends this afternoon after going to Alas in the afternoon. We all got their Grand Opening Special which is like $10 for a bento set. It's well worth it's value. the parking lot entrance is on Young St. and is at the beginning of a little strip mall. We found parking and were able to walk right in. We went at an off-hour, and our friends were seated already. You order through a QR Code select your items, and pay for it in the app. I think it's quick and efficient, but if you wanted to order more, you'd have to pay again. My fiance and i ordered a set each, and a side of Shishito Peppers. The set comes with Kimchi, rice, salad, and miso soup. All our food came out quickly, and I personally think that the portion was perfect. The meats are good quality, and they have a good variety of sauce options for you to eat. By the time we finished our food, I was satisfyingly full. We weren't bothered by the staff to leave, but it seems like a place where you could spend as little or as much time as you'd like. Walked in randomly looking for a new place to eat. The staff quickly greeted us and asked how many people in our party. We were quickly seated at a table and walked through how to order, as this was our first time. I ordered the grand opening special set, which is a smaller version of one of their regular Kalbi sets. I added on pork belly, garlic and corn cheese. Their Kim Chee is made with regular cabbage and was very tasty. Not a huge fan of miso soup with a lot of garnishes so I didn't really touch my soup. It was just standard miso soup. The kalbi set and pork belly seemed like it was "seasoned" with sesame oil and didn't have too much flavor. Lemon juice, garlic soy and a sweet and spicy sauce was provided for dipping. They added a dab of butter to the garlic, so when it melted, it cooks the garlic.
