The happy hour deals are THE BEST here, but I still enjoyed it without happy hour too since we missed it. I ordered the Onion Ring Tower ($10.79) and a pint-sized Angry Orchard Cider ($8). The onion rings are so nicely battered with the perfect crispy crunch. It's stacked in perfect order and pairs so well with the dipping sauces. The Chicken Nachos (but replace with fries) are also a winner here. I honestly forgot how good this spot is. I'd highly recommend Yardhouse for happy hour --no better place! In addition, they have an iPad for paying, which easily helps you separate your checks. This make the process so much simpler for groups. Big plus for this! I love this place. It is comfortable, food is tasty, drinks are good and the prices are fair, oh and they are open late. Plus I live a block away. So, I have a group of friends and we like to go there after work, we all work late, so we go at least one day a week to have some late night food and relax and have a few laughs. Last night we went and we had THE BEST server ever at any restaurant. His name was David, tall guy with a slight beard and said he was from Ohio. He was so on it and such a customer service pro. The food was piping hot, drinks were always full. He took away finished plates immediately, kept the table clean and organized and attended to our every whim. He was funny, friendly and efficient. I wish all restaurants had such great and professional servers. It makes the experience a million times better and makes you want to come back again and again. So many places have these resentful, grumpy, hostile, rude servers who bring you cold food then totally disappear. That's why I will never go to the Cheesecake Factory in Huntington ever again. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday as a surprise and let me say, it was AMAZING. I was already a bit full from before since we went to the movies but here's what we ordered. He got the BBQ bacon cheddar burger and I got the a whiskey and aged white cheddar burger, for two dollars we upgraded from our plain fries to onion rings and parmesan truffle fries. We split our burgers in half and they were both so delicious. The BBQ burger was a little salty but the barbecue was so sweet and tangy, I would give it a solid 8/10 with the onion rings that were battered nicely, they weren't that crispy but they were still delicious. The whiskey burger was an absolute 10/10. It was so juicy with a hint of sweetness that combined well with the parm fries. The only reason it is not 5 stars was just because of the ambiance which was very dark and very loud. I understand that can be the aesthetic they're going for but it just isn't for me. Also, we ordered the lava cake which was a little disappointing. It was a bit dry and tasted like it came from the box and it didn't have much of the filling inside. The ice cream was good but it wasn't creamy enough for my liking. Aside from that this place was amazing, our waiter was very attentive and kind. 12-14-2025, had lunch with the family at Yard House Costa Mesa! I had the Avocado Chicken sandwich. It was so salty and soggy, I only choked down about 4 bites and just couldn't do it. I shouldn't have eaten that much cause it was a mistake. When the useless waiter came by at the end, he saw just about my entire meal sitting on my plate and obviously not eaten. Came by during their early happy hour that runs from 3-6 pm Monday to Friday. Upon entry, we were promptly seated and given single use paper menus. All the staff were wearing masks and gloves. Came here a few months ago with a friend. I just never got to post a review and I wanted to because the food at the Yard house is always the bomb! I love getting as an appetizer their Giant Pretzel. I could never finish it because if i did I would have no room left for dinner. But it's something I enjoy taking home. I've had a few things from here before but one of my favorites is actually their BBQ Chicken pizza. Of course you have to order drinks! They have a nice selection of alcohol beverages as well as fruity non alcoholic drinks as well. My favorite drink to order here is of course the strawberry Margita! It can get busy so I would definitely make a reservation. Good took a little time to come but it's always worth the experience. Especially if there's a game on. My neighbor and I come here every now and again to partake in their great happy hour menu. Happy Hour is M-F from 3pm-6pm with 1/2 off select appetizers & pizzas and $2 off all draft beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. Can't beat these prices. We really like the table electronic ordering system. Once we placed our order it took 3 minutes for our first appetizer to arrive. After we eat we start to play trivia on it against others. It's so fun to test our general knowledge. The two of us are almost always champions of our games. Finally checked out Yardhouse after hearing so much about it! Let me start by saying all the hype over the poke nachos is deserved, they were probably my favorite dish out of all the ones we ordered despite just being an appetizer. They're really well seasoned, they use this spicy mayo kind of sauce, furikake, seaweed salad, avocado, etc. I think they also use wonton skins as the "nachos" and it pairs really well, it's a lot lighter and thinner than a tortilla chip. We also got the onion ring tower, I appreciated how soft the inside of it was and how it didn't pull the whole onion out after one bite. The BBQ Chicken Pizza and Baja Tacos were also good but I think the appetizers were the star of the meal. Lastly, we got the Brookie for dessert. It came out nice and warm, with whipped cream and ice cream that made the dish really rich and decadent. Definitely really sweet and also good portion size, so make sure to save some room if you're planning on getting dessert. The inside of the restaurant has very dim lighting. Okay, I have no idea why I haven't reviewed this place yet after coming here about 3 times now with the boyfriend. First of all, every time that I have came here everyone have treated both of us so great. The service was excellent and we have noticed they have the new iPad thingy that you can pay and play games on and they showed us how to use it even though I already knew, but it was nice they took the time to do that. The food: The food was amazing. The first time I had came here, I ordered a poke bowl, the second time a salad, and the third time a sirloin steak with stacked potatoes. As you can tell, the third time was at dinner time so my boyfriend and I had a lot more. My boyfriend ordered salmon for our most recent dinner here. For our appetizer, we got the California roll. Just to inform you all sushi lovers, the California roll here is a lot different then the traditional sushi place, because it is stacked. I wish I had a picture of it but the picture I took turned out blurry. It was pretty good, but different because I am used to the normal ones. We went out on today on our wife's birthday. The location was in Costa Mesa. We sat outside on the patio. We got no service at all. Couple times times I had to o get to the bar to get drinks. And the bar attendant asked me if I need change from the cash I gave him. They all expect minimum 20% tips . Nobody from the restaurant came out and checked on us . We did mentioned it at the front desk but they don't seem to care . Not even offered any discount on our drinks . We were there for almost 2 hours !!!! After COVID service became really bad . I made a spontaneous trip to the Yardhouse, while on our way to Fill Bakery. The traffic to Newport was no joke and made us hangry before the finish line. Around 6 pm, we were seated immediately. What we ordered: POKE NACHOS - This is my favorite go-to item on the menu. There is an excellent balance of chips and ahi tuna. I would say this item would be a deconstructed version of the Poke Stack that no longer exists on the menu.     FRACHOS (Nachos with French Fries substitution) - A whopping 2,000+ calories filled with the goodness of protein, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. There is no denying that this is a superb sharable item with the group. Very delicious.   Beer of choice - NEW HOLLAND DRAGON'S MILK - Creamy and robust. It has a similar taste to a Guinness with a hoppy kick. Alcohol percentage at an incredible 11.0%. Also, don't be fooled by the name. The beer is from Holland, MI, not Amsterdam. LOL.   Here is what went wrong. I had one free appetizer voucher through the email rewards. I wrote down the voucher code and handed it to the server, and the server went to get the manager's approval. There was a reduction in the final bill and without checking, I paid. The server showed us how to make the payment through the table machine. I signed, tipped well, and left. When I came home to check the receipt, I noticed that the discount only applied half of the appetizer cost and that regrettable feeling still isn't going away. Me and my family are here today and it was very good! I had the whisker salmon and that was some of the best salmon I've ever had! The sauce that came with it was very tasty, the mashed potatoes were excellent as well. The water was also really good. We also ordered the burger sliders and those to were very good. The soups that came with the sliders and steak were excellent! Our sever Brooke was very kind and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and just a very friendly person and overall added to the very nice ambiance of the restaurant.
