I have been to several yard house locations over the years and I was very disappointed by the new location in downtown Denver. Why? Their staff quotes radically incorrect wait times. We were told 20 minutes on the phone so we drove all the way down, paid for parking and waited over an hour to sit. I get that new places are busy, but staff should not say 20 minutes if they are running over an hour. It is a very deceptive practice. Because once you have waited 30 minutes, you don't want to leave. Making matters worse is the manager/hostess when I asked where we were on the list and told her we had been told 20 minutes, could only say "it is going to be a while". What is that supposed to mean exactly. Very unprofessional. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to this location again and I hope others aren't duped into the time bait and switch we were. read more

My husband and I tried out the Yard House and loved it! It's an upscale restaurant, so I'm not sure why people think it's pricey. We ordered three appetizers: the mushroom lettuce wraps, a margarita pizza and the spinach dip. We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the mushroom lettuce wraps and the margarita pizza! Both of these appetizers were absolutely fantastic!! The spinach dip was pretty good too, but the chips were really, really greasy. It would have been better with bread and veggies. I'm still giving it 5 stars because the food was fantastic and the drinks were great too! This isn't Olive Garden or Old Chicago. It's an upscale restaurant. I've been the Yard House in Lakewood before and had a very enjoyable experience. However this Yard House was absolutely terrible. We had a big group come in only looking for drinks and the service was absolutely horrible. The restaurant wasn't busy so it shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a round of Coors Lights. We tried to go straight to the bar but the bartender wasn't very friendly either. She acted like we were ruining her plans by being there...I have news for you sister, making drinks is your damn job! With all the other options around 16th Street Mall this place will fail miserably if they don't do something about their service. read more

My husband and I went here this weekend for dinner and our experience could not have been better. We waited about 15 minutes for our table, so we sat at the bar and ordered a drink in the mean time. Once seated we glanced at their appetizer menu and decided to go with the snack size portions of guacamole and chips and an order of truffle parmesan fries. The fries were absolutely amazing and I could have eaten several more orders. My husband ordered a noodle bowl for dinner and I had the chicken enchilada stack. The food and drinks here are always amazing. Came in recently and had Jollene as our server. She was so nice and really made good suggestions. I can't believe how much she knew about the menu. Every modification we made came out perfectly. Ask for her if you get the chance. A manager came by to see how things were which is always appreciated. I can't remember his name, maybe Levi? The managers at this place don't give a shit about their employees or their customers. Today they discriminated against somebody for tattoos, after they had already given them the job and started them on orientation. It is discrimination and it's not OK. You're gonna miss out on a lot of good people and workers because you won't even give them a chance. All you care about is money and your image. Karma will get you and your shitty if fucking restaurant. Do better. Bet that I will tell anyone who will listen to not give money to you assholes. read more

This Yard House was packed. Lots of interest. The service: good, 4/5 stars. The waiter could have been a little more proactive. Noise level: 2/5 stars. Too loud, inside and even outside. Where they sat us outside was under one of their music speakers and it was hard to hear each other. Food: 3/5 stars. The pastrami sandwich was good. The French onion soup was bland. Price: 3/5 stars. A little expensive for what you get, but that's the downtown tax for you. All together I would return if there was nothing else open. read more

Nice place. Our first time going there with the family. Husbands has been there before. Kids ordered what they wanted. Son had the fish and chips (fries.) Daughter had the pineapple chicken. Husband and I shared the Ribeye stack and Shrimp. All were delicious. Our server did a great job. We also shared the seared Ahi appetizer. The adults tried 4 tasters for beer. The reason that I do not give Yard House higher rating is because they do not have wi-fi and when I have ordered twice for delivery and asked for blue cheese sauce for the hot wings it was not included. There is nothing quite as disappointing as not having a simple request met. If it had happened once I would deal with it. But the second time turned me OFF. There are too many other good eats in Denver to waste money and expectations on Yard House. read more

I love the extensive beer selection here. The music is solid and mostly 80's to 00's alt-rock, which is great. The food is all good, especially the vampire tacos and the deviled eggs. I always enjoy a stop here. The wait staff is pretty helpful and attentive and I couldn't ask for better service from them. There is one drawback in that the kitchen does get busy so that you can have a bit of a wait for food when it gets busy. But hey, can't blame a place for being popular. read more

The food here is very good. The portions are huge, the music is awesome but can be a bit loud so conversation can be hard. It's a little expensive but for most dishes it seems fair. The service it's not great, it can be painfully slow and they don't always get your order right. We've stopped going there for lunch because the service is so slow, we would end up taking a two hour lunch. If you want to get in and out in an hour, this is not the place for you. read more

Had dinner at about 430pm on a Friday evening. The restaurant does not take reservations, but will do their best to honor advance seating requests called in 30-60 minutes before arrival. Nice extended happy hour prices on beverages. Extensive menu. I had the sea bass, my wife had the petite beef filet. We started by sharing a baha fish taco. All very tasty. Don't go here. Just don't. Every time we've gone to give them another try we have been beyond disappointed. This last time we went the flatbread was lacking several key ingredients, the grilled artichoke was cold and the soup tasted like nothing. In a city where so many good beers are available, the yard house is not the place to spend you evening. We were there for 6 rounds and each round took about 15 minutes to get to the table. Then you figure in you are paying $6-7 a beer when, if you go to one of the many local breweries, you'll pay $3-4 a beer, and get great service, it just isn't worth it. I like the Yardhouse because woaaaah those beers!! They have SO MANY! We usually go to the bar and have beers and maybe something to eat. The pizza was good and big to share but you go here for the beer. Sometimes it's hard to make the bartender pay attention to you but I think we were there at happy hour and it was super busy the last time. There are so many beers to choose from, good thing we were staying in walking distance. The menu has many unique items and something for everyone.
