I like going to the Yard House, especially with family or friends, because of the large extensive menu that is offered. Whether you are feeling a burger, maybe sushi, or pizza - you will find it on the menu. Thirsty? There is a huge draft beer menu as well as a number of wine and cocktail options. The space in Indianapolis is huge and there are many tables and seats at the bar so it is usually pretty easy finding a seat, although you will want to get reservations for the evenings as this place fills up fast. Food and service is pretty quick and the food has always been great when we go. I have tried a number of entrees off the menu and have never been let down by them. I have tried easy classics such as a bacon cheeseburger up to steak and pork schnitzel. Each dish has a unique twist that makes it extra special. 10/16 Review for attention of the Manager in duty: I will not return to your establishment even though I staged and enjoyed the food and drink. The lack of courtesy and welcome from the bar staff named Madie was the worst I've experienced in recent times. She completely ignored me as I sat at the bar and continued to do so for another 3 minutes until another bar staff member asked if she had served me. I could have walked out, I could easily raise a formal legal complaint, however it was late and I wanted to get a drink and food after a long working day. As mentioned once again the food was great and this shows it's only this one staff member as I had also visited 10/15, that's how much I've enjoyed visiting this bar/ restaurant. We ate here in Oct 13the around 2pm. I had a bloody Mary that was good. We had the spinach artichoke dip & cheese curds. The spinach dip you got more chips than dip, but it was good. The cheese curds were also good. I ordered the turkey club & it was ok. A little dry & the skewer that was used to hold it together was cut & was stuck into the other side of the sandwich. I hadn't noticed it at first. Then I'm like that was a crunchy piece of bacon & spit it out. However, I must not of spit all of it out because the whole rest of the day it felt liked wood was stuck in my throat. Caution cooks make sure you're not cutting into the skewer. Otherwise, it was good. My sister's had fish & chips & my other friend had the Korean beef sandwich. They all enjoyed their food. This location never disappoints. The restaurant is a bit dark but I think that contributes to the intimate feel. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and when I say it was the BEST IVE EVER HAD, I'm not exaggerating. I accidentally ate half of it before I had a chance to take the picture. I went here with a group from work. The atmosphere is modern but comfortable. The bar is a huge U shape with about 100 beers on tap. I tried the house Honey Blonde Ale and it is refreshing. One of the apps we got is the chicken nachos that can feed an army. The poke nachos are also tasty. I ordered the Thai grilled pork chop. It has a nice char and the chop was juicy not dry. It's served on cauliflower rice with a mix of stir fry vegetables that are crisp and fresh. For dessert I had the chocolate fudge cake - amazing! They also have sandwiches, pizza, burgers, salads, soups, and a kids menu. You really will find something you like. The staff are superb. I'd love to come back for a visit. read more

On Wednesday my mom and I decided to get a late lunch and found the Yard House in downtown Indy. This was my second time going and it did not disappoint at all! We did not have reservations and walked in and were immediately sat (we went around 4PM). We decided to just get some appetizers for our meals and looking back - that was the right decision to make! We started off with an order of the Coconut Shrimp and the Poke Nachos. I was flabbergasted by the innovativeness of the Poke Nachos - these were definitely 13/10 and I will be going back to get them soon! It is like a sushi version of nachos on crunchy wontons - you MUST try! I also really liked the coconut shrimp - it was not overly sweet and fried perfectly! After that we were still hungry and decided to get an order of their Classic Sliders - these mini toasted buns were really good and the actual burger itself was seasoned well and cooked perfectly! The fries that came with the sliders were also really good - definitely the ranch dunking type! The only reason Yardhouse is not getting a 5/5 is due to the service. Although we were seated promptly the actual table service was lacking and our waitress just seemed very uninterested. We had to waive her down multiple times and we were maybe one of 5 tables. However - the first time that I went there - the service was great and I am thinking this was just a one-off! Nonetheless - I will be going back to the Yardhouse and I will recommend it to anyone who loved sushi in the form of nachos! This is a great upscale bar with tons of beer on tap - more taps than any other restaurant I've ever been to. Ordered the poke nachos for appetizer. These were excellent! Absolutely loved all the sauces on the dish & the ahi tasted really fresh. There was too much cilantro on them, but not a big deal because you could easily pick it off. I got the whiskey glazed salmon for dinner. I enjoyed being able to order the salmon to my preferred temperature. It came out cooked to perfection & super moist. The parmesan mashed potatoes were good, just nothing memorable about them. The roasted carrots & broccolini were good but would've liked more. My husband ordered the Maui pineapple chicken - this was the star dish of the evening! He got 2 large chicken breasts that were prefectly grilled & charred. It was served with grilled pineapple & an amazing sauce! It also came with broccoli & rice. I will get this dish next time! I wish there was a Yard House in St Louis as well - we'd be regulars if so! What's not to love about a place that serves half yards of beer? Yard House is always a solid spot to dine in downtown. This place is HUGE, accompanied with a very large bar with a LOT on tap. If you get a beer here, definitely recommend getting a half yard of it. The glass is fun to drink from and it's definitely 'gram opportunity. Tip- watch out for the bubble that attacks you about half way down the skinny part! Another tip- every day from 3 to 6 pm, they offer half off certain appetizers and pizzas. We definitely took advantage of this (please tip your bartender or server well!) We ordered sliders, calamari, Wisconsin cheese curds, and boneless wings. The sliders were the best thing- comes with fries and a special sauce. I wish they did put a little more of the sauce on there though, one of my sliders had a little dot of it, so maybe ask for extra? The calamari was awesome as well. Cooked just right, and came with two yummy sauces for dipping (the tomato based one was personally my fav). The Wisconsin cheese curds were a little underwelcoming- but maybe I just don't care for them? I expected it to be more seasoning, but they just tasted bland. The boneless wings were cooked great and their Bleu cheese is amazing here. We got BBQ and whiskey pepper as a sauce. Loved the bbq- whiskey pepper however had no whiskey flavor and tasted like a bucket of pepper was dumped on the wings. Definitely recommend dining here! read more

My family is in Indianapolis for the week and Yard House has been amazing. We found it on the third night and have been twice. I had the Shrimp Bowl the first night and the Thai Pork Chop. Both were excellent, but the Pork Chop...I HAVE to get it again. The problem is we only have 4 more nights in town and there are a couple other dishes I want to try. The menu had plenty of variety without being the kind of place that has a hundred choices. Everybody was able to find something including the kids and all of the food was cleaned off the plates. This WAS one of our favorite downtown go to spots. Went Sunday. Onion ring tower was cold when it arrived to our table. Not lukewarm but COLD. We requested a new one. Server was very nice. Took the blame. Said maybe she didn't grab it fast enough. No way it was COLD. My Turkey club bread was toasted but rubbery. Like it had been sitting or had been warmed up. I went to Yard House on Saturday Sept 23rd that night with a few people. Yard House is in a great location downtown, on Maryland Street. As, far as parking goes when available there's street parking, and even parking garage is near. It was a total of three of us that went to Yard House that night, it was a great night regarding weather wise, and a lot of out of towners in Indianapolis due to the Circle City Classic event. Yard House wasn't packed, we were seated as soon as we walked in. The Server last night was taken a long time to bring anything back to my table. For, an appetizer someone ordered the spinach dip. Our main entrées were someone ordered the glazed salmon, slider mini cheeseburgers and fries, and I ordered the tradition BBQ wings(10) along with truffle fries. It took the Server 40-45mins to bring out the food, the restaurant wasn't busy, bringing out sauces, as well as another refill that Server took too long.
