Good place to pregame if you see a show/circus at Tyson II. The happy hour deals are really good, and they have a massive selection of beers. The spicy tuna nachos were awesome. I got the Korean street tacos for my entree, and I was happy with my order. You're able to order drinks/food from your table top unit which is super convenient. It seems like it's mostly a happy hour spot for office workers. It was crowded and noisy, but the kids didn't mind because they could play games on the tabletop thing. I have no idea why the reviews are so low. I am surprised myself on how wonderful it was. They have a computer at the table that you can split your check at the end if you're eating with a group of friends. This made everything way easier when going out. We got the cheese dip, cheese curds, and I got the Korean ribeye. Food was great. I love the sauces they bring you for the cheese curds. Everything here is a huge portion and the amount of beers they have to choose from is incredible. My first and last time coming. Although the food and service was descent, when you steal extra tip money off my card everything else fails. I would never ever return. On July 6 we went to the Tyson Corner location and the waitress was Alana N as you can see on the receipt decided to give herself an extra $4.07 in tip on top of the $10 i gave her. Now it was 4 others at my table and we all got seperate bills and everyone left 10-15 dollars per person in tips. Which we thought was a great tip. This place is just really mid. We had a reservation but still had to wait 15-20 mins for our table.. This is a sports bar at the end of the day, so expect it to be incredibly loud.. you shouldn't come here if you're looking to have a full on conversation. I appreciated that everyone could pay using the tablet - this made splitting the bill super easy given that we had a large group! I ordered the veggie burger, which had no sauce so it felt dry. Veggie patty itself was fine, though. The burger also had some (minimally dressed) arugula, which I thought was a really bad idea for a burger! I'd never been to Yard House but everyone always raves about it so I'm excited there's one closer to me now. I visited last week for happy hour and had a great time. Their happy hour runs until 6 which is not bad. They have $2 off cocktails and 1/2 off apps. They also had some beer deals as well. I ordered the poloma margarita and this was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet which I always worry about with margaritas bc I can't take too much sugar. The second drink I ordered was the Sunset Sangria and this was my favorite. I was shocked at how good it was. It was fresh, fruity, and overall, excellent. You couldn't even taste the alcohol, it just tasted like super fresh juice. I will definitely be back for one of these on a hot summer day. My friend got espresso martinis and I tried them and they were excellent. For food, we got the chicken lettuce wraps which were good. We also got the Poke Nachos which were my favorite. Parking is ample at the mall and the location is easy to find (near Urban Space). It was also nice you didn't have to sit exclusively at the bar for happy hour. The service was a little slower and even getting seated took a while. This wasn't because they didn't have empty tables but the hostess made us wait in line (even though there were multiple hostesses who could've attended to us). We joined the waitlist before heading over, and it was only about a 5 minute wait before being seated. The hostesses were very attentive and friendly, just as the servers were. Like many, many of the other patrons there on this Saturday afternoon, or was a big March Madness day. So, we spent a few hours there having drinks, apps, and pizza. It was loud from so many people, but not too loud that we wouldn't hear the music or each other. Drinks: My boyfriend had the 1/2 yard of Miller and pub glasses of Miller to follow. I had two cocktails, the lavender drop and strawberry mule, which were both AMAZING. --The lavender drop had a perfect balance of floral/sweet/citrus that wasn't overwhelming. --The strawberry mule was so crisp and refreshing, which what seemed to be freshly muddled strawberries. The mule came in a cool tin highball "tallboy" looking cup, but I will say also has lots of ice in it. --Following the cocktails, I had their IPA + Pint for $15 deal which was a special for March Madness that came with a select 4 IPAs and then you pick one to get as a pint afterward. The server was a bit confused and hadn't heard of this at all, so she had to take the menu that advertised it to go investigate it further. Food: --We had a few apps, including the spinach dip, boneless wings, and then we ordered the Margherita pizza. The spinach dip was hot and tasty, but we wish it had come with more chips. --The wings were very bleh, the chicken was a bit rubbery and tasteless. When ordering the wings, we assumed "sauce on the side" meant adding ranch on the side--it actually means putting the wing sauce on the side. This was fine, but I will say the wing sauces were also not very flavorful. We did Buffalo and lemon pepper. While I wouldn't recommend the wings at all, I really wouldn't recommend lemon pepper. It was more of a butter sauce with a hint of lemon (almost even like a hollandaise) with definitely nothing peppery about it. --The margherita pizza was very tasty, I loved the twist of adding a ton of roasted garlic. (My boyfriend thought it was just OK.) I will say that the center crust under the toppings was SO soft that you had to hold it together with two hands because everything would fall apart and off the pizza slice. Service: We had two servers because we were there a bit longer for the games and it was in the middle of a shift change. Both servers were incredibly attentive and nice. However, the second server did make us feel quite rushed to leave and brought us our check before we finished our time there. We still had yet to order the pint that came with the IPA flight. So she removed the check, brought the drink, then brought the check back again (we hadn't requested the check at any point but she brought the check to us twice). I do understand that we were there for a few hours, but during a major televised sports tournament with clearly many people also there for hours watching the games we didn't enjoy feeling rushed. I feel like fans watching games for a few hours is what comes with the territory of having a nicer sports bar vibe with a dozen flatscreens. Walking in and knowing this was a chain restaurant, I had tempered my expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised with entire experience. In fact, it was great! First, I was very pleased to learn they had a "Waitlist" feature on their website/app. Because when we arrived, the place was crowded. We did not wait very long after checking in with the hostess. After being seated, we were promptly greeted by our waitress. She took our drink order ... and within a few minutes it was delivered. Excellent! On to the food, we ordered "Miguel's Queso Dip" as an appetizer ... and it was SOOO good!!! An amazing blend of cheeses and peppers that really went well with our beers. For an entrée, I was feeling like I needed a pizza ... so I went with the BBQ Chicken. Once again, exceeded my expectations. Was it the best pizza I ever had? No. But it was quite good. I would definitely order it again. I am looking forward to coming back. Especially as the weather gets warmer as there is a large outdoor patio that looks like a fun place to hang out. Lowest point of the meal was the pay now feature on the device they give you, repeatedly got errors on the device and after our waiter replaced the receipt paper it still gave errors ultimately just having us pay by card regularly. Upon my arrival at Yard House, I was immediately greeted by the very nice associates at the front desk and right after I was greeted by the the nicest bartender who asked me right away what I wanted to drink. Shortly after, the bartender asked what I wanted to eat and she put the order in right away. That's fast and hospitality service. The BBQ chicken salad was so delicious I cleaned out the plate. You can't go wrong with unsweetened ice tea as it goes great with the dish I had. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cool, it's got the sporty look which is great for any kind of sports day. Also the walls have these really nice paintings, very abstract. Overall this dining experience here at Yard House McLean deserves 7/5 because everyone was super nice, they had that great hospitality which made this visit get its current rating. We were still full from the lunch we had elsewhere a few hours earlier, so we just grabbed drinks. The first bartender/server we had was nice, but the second didn't seem to pay much attention to what was going on at our area of the bar. The place was packed at 4PM too! Yard house is located in the newer section of Tyson's galleria near crate and barrel. Parking is very easy to find in that mall area especially during holiday season and that too Sunday afternoon. Entrance could be near bowling place or on the top floor. Host staff were very nice and accommodating. Our server was sweet but disappeared most of the time and less attentive. My friend's glass of water finished and no one ever filled that up. I ordered shrimp bowl and cup of coffee with cream and sugar. My friends ordered gardien chicken and chicken avocado sandwiches. Shrimp bowl was very tasteful except it has lots of carrots and snap peas as compared to other veggies. Shrimps were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. One of My friends' chicken avocado sandwich with fries was also delicious. Other friend didn't like her vegan gardien chicken sandwich and she complained of tummy ache later in the day. Coffee was old too and asked to replace it and never made it back to the table. Manager anyhow took that off of the bill later.
