I have been to a few different yard houses and I enjoy it! Their selection of drinks is obviously huge, and a wait staff typically has recommendations which I like. Last time I went we spoke to the waitress about their vegan options and she brought us a small menu with all of their vegan choices (including dressings for salads etc) which was super helpful! We typically get the gardein vegan wings which are good, although can be picked up at the grocery store. I am glad they have vegan options, just wish they had more and were cheaper.. As I know how much they cost at the store and nothing is made in house. It has always been clean when I go, a bit busy so it is helpful to go early (they don't take reservations) or sit at the bar while waiting. Too may tv's for my liking, and inside is a bit chilly so I always bring an extra layer. read more

Had Yard House for the first time! They have this back from where I'm from but I never tried it. Went in during the late happy hour (9pm-close). Ordered the California Roll, Four cheese pizza and the boneless wings (Korean style). All three were amazing! My favorite out of these three will definitely be the Cali roll. I highly recommend it! Worst experience ever yesterday. We sat at the bar and Lettie was our bartender/server. She never refilled ice tea a single time. Another bartender asked if we wanted one, and then forgot to get it, so at the end we asked for one to go, and were given a child's cup. In between there was so much wrong. Bartender had extended conversations with patrons on both our left and right, and would never make eye contact with us. Never checked back to ask how food was. Nothing. Zip. I had to keep waving my hands. When we initially ordered I asked for Ranch dressing, but it didn't come with food. We then asked the person who delivered the food and he said "Ask our bartender. She should be able to get that for you.". So we had to try to flag her down again, at which point, we also pointed out that the fries were stale, so we had to wait a while for fresh fries. We ordered fish and chips, for a very high price of $17.49, and it only came with one piece of fish. So, in a nutshell, service was horrible, food was marginal and overall value just wasn't there. It was the first time visiting Yard House since we've been in Idaho for nearly two years. I had always had decent experiences at other locations. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to challenge yourself how you think about burgers. At least that's what the folks over at The Counter want you to do. They are about creative construction and feel they make things delicious with what I am convinced must be Monsanto inspired ingredients. Life is about experiences, and if you want to try stuff, learn something or be creative, try your local college dorm. There, you will not only have more fun picking off the scabs you got from your last sexual escapade, but will so intensify your senses from the endless consumption of gourmet frozen-burrito-ramen-noodle-doo, that you will actually enjoy paying high prices for the food at The Counter. It is without a doubt in my mind that the vast number of toppings available for your creation can only be made possible through the efforts of Nicolas Appert and the magic of butylated hydrocyanisole and hydroxytoluene. How else can they afford to keep that many ingredients in one place? I hope I'm wrong and that their Market Selections are in fact sourced daily and not preserved. My particular creation started with the hormone and antibiotic free beef, then it was topped with Gouda cheese (a personal favorite), sun-dried tomatoes, roasted green chilies, and the roasted garlic aioli all on a standard brioche bun to preserve the flavor of the ingredients. Along with the Parmesan fries, it all sounded like a delightful and flavorful combination to me! Now, don't let the looks fool you! The burger was in desperate need of salt and was simply not impressive; the bun was dry, the tomatoes had little flavor, the garlic aioli was okay but still lacked garlic and the green chilies tasted like, well, what you might imagine a Leprechaun penis would taste like . . . green with a just a hint of Guinness! The Parmesan fries were dissolving in their own grease and became more limp than the aforementioned Leprechaun. The only redeeming quality of The Counter was the service! Our server and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Friendly, welcoming and efficient, almost to a fault. A wonderful crew, indeed and I would go back and try a shake just to be served by them one more time. My personal burger combination at The Counter was not at all what I had built up in my mind and the cost made the whole meal even harder to swallow. With over 312,120 ways to to build your burgers, you could spend a lifetime creating and devouring different combinations! Unfortunately, only one combination was enough to convince me that there were perhaps 312,119 too many. Consider me disappointed. read more

Good price for it too, it's a little dark and the tables aren't really 6 feet apart but the servers wear their masks correctly which I appreciated. when i first started to come here, the chicken strips were amazing. They were all big and juicy and the breading was so yummy, but now they are burnt sticks of dry chicken. Living in the state that has some of the lowest income statistically, I am not sure how this place will stay open with their prices. As soon as the newness wears off, it will slow way down, I'm sure. My husband and I went there on a date night. There was an hour long wait. The entrance was crowded with people standing because there is no place for anyone to sit while they are waiting for a table. It made it very awkward to even go in the door at all. Once we were finally sat at our table it took a long time to get any attention. I remember stating that if we had gone to Goodwood BBQ they would have brought us a water and greeted us withing 1-2 minutes. We couldn't figure out what the service issue was since there were sooo many servers wandering around. Food servers, drink servers, managers, etc. Why wasn't anyone greeting us or paying attention? It went on like this most of the evening. The server was seen rarely. We were only brought one water. I ordered a hard cider and didn't get it until my food was gone. Speaking of food, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and was not informed by the server that it would look nothing like a traditional spicy tuna roll. It had no rice and it was just one giant pile of avocado and tuna. I can see how some people would like it, but I was not impressed since I was craving a traditional spicy tuna roll. If I would have been properly informed, I would not have ordered that. I also ordered a chop salad which was amazing. I would order it again. Basically, we decided that we would have no reason to return to that restaurant with all the other, lower priced, great places to eat in the area. The only thing that saved the night was when the manager offered to comp the tuna roll even though I didn't complain. I wasn't really eating it and he stepped in to say he would take it off the bill and "didn't want me to pay for something I didn't like" and that "the server should have explained to you that the roll is somewhat different" I would give it another shot JUST because of that manager and how he ended the experience for us. However, it would need to be a special occasion or something because of the pricing. read more

I have been here at least four times since it opened. Every time I have been pleased. Their food is very good--try the truffle fries! Absolutely to die for. Their happy hour appetizers are half priced and delicious. Although it is pretty loud, the atmosphere is nice and open and I think it's good for groups of up to eight. They have huge booths that can seat eight people which are really nice. The service is always excellent and food is served quickly, quite the feat for such a large and typically busy establishment. I've also never had to wait too long for a table (never more than around 10 minutes). And of course, THE BEER. They have 100 (or more?) taps, so many varieties on their vast and easy to read menu. Samplers are available, you can build your own or go with a pre-determined array of choices, and are reasonably priced. Both servers and bartenders always seem to know their beer and are able to offer some good recommendations. Overall I have never had a bad experience here and highly recommend. read more

We visited the Yard House early during a weeknight, it was slow. After the hostess completed two separate phone calls, one sounding like a personal call, she was finally able to acknowledge and seat us. Our server came straight over and filled our drink orders quickly. Then we didn't see him again for over 20 minutes AFTER closing our menus. The restaurant was on the colder side, so our food was cold pretty much right after getting it. And my favorite part of this entire experience was receiving my steak rice bowl without any rice. Yup. Our server did manage to bring me a bowl of gooey brown rice halfway through my meal. This place must be relying on their popular location, it was a disappointing experience. read more

Yard House has been the worst experience I've had. I went several months ago. The service was terrible the food was cold. I swore I'd never go back. My son wanted to go for his birthday. Again, the service was terrible. Our waitress went on break and left us to another waitress. She never checked on us, she didn't bring my son's drink until we had to get a busser, who then got the manager. This is one of my MIL's favorite restaurants and where she wanted to spend her 80th birthday. We were a party of 6 but were seated promptly and drink orders taken fast by a very nice server. We ordered all over the menu and overall the food was quite good. I had the shrimp and calamari diablo over black pasta. This was very good, the seafood cooked well and not over done or rubbery, the pasta cooked very well and sauced nicely. The only dings with my dish were it must of set out for a bit because it was a little on the cool side and a nice piece of bread would have been a very nice addition. My brother in law ordered the fish and chips, love that we all feel comfortable enough to share because I was able to taste his as well. There were 2 generous sized fish portions, and these looked to be hand dipped. They were well seasoned but cooked just a little to long, still very good but just a touch over done we both agreed. This place is a cool place to eat in the village! The food was pretty darn good. I came here for happy hour and got the firecracker boneless wings and the margarita pizza! The food was fantastic with the exception of no crackers or bread being served with the soups. Who doesn't serve crackers with soup or even offer? My husband was irritated that the staff kept stopping near the table and complaining about work and taking their personal items into the kitchen. I did not put the burger down once, nor did I say one word while eating it. As I finished this burger I wiped my hands, placed my napkin on the table, and proceeded to tell my group of people that I hadn't dared tell them how delicious it was until every last bite was gone to avoid any chance of them attempting to try the burger.
