I've been to many different Yardhouse locations. This was my 2nd visit to this location in Sarasota. I have to say it's consistent between all. I compare it to Cheesecake Factory. The menu is huge and there is something available for everyone and anyone, including picky eaters! Always great for a large group. The service is always on point. This visit we were 3 and shared the Chicken Nacho Platter which is absolutely delicious! For dinner I had the Orange Chicken which is a favorite of mine. Yard House is open late which is always a plus. They have a huge bar and an extensive drink & beer menu. Lots of seating as well as a nice patio with heaters. The one thing I will mention about Yard House is that it is always noisy! Also, it's extremely noisy when sporting events are on the TV's! read more

The food is good old classic American without any unnecessary twists. The beer selection is outstanding, the local brew I had was great and the staff is very helpful when trying to find a new option. My family of 4 decided we'd dine in Yard house for dinner. Greeters are always nice and welcoming. We requested the booth. They sat us near the window. Space was nice and cozy. Our waitress Sam was exceptional! She was in her "A-game". From start to finish, she checked in on us, she made us feel like we were the only one customers being serviced. That's how in top of things she was. We ordered avocado toasts, chicken 2 platters of wings, pepperoni pizza, spaghetti, Cobb salad, 2 glasses mojitos, chocolate milk, and sweet tea. A few of the fried chicken wings were super chewy and seemed old. That was a bit disappointing for the cooks to bring something subpar out like that. Usually I'm extremely satisfied with my food. Hence, the 4 stars. Other than that, everything was good and everything went swimmingly. I wanted to shout out Jasmin as well, few weekends back, she served my family of 4 and did an amazing job. Have been to several of these restaurants in Florida. All are consistently good. This one is no exception. The food and service were very good. We went on a weekday night for dinner. Was busy with a short wait. The menu is extensive with many options to satisfy even a picky appetite. Ordered the nacho platter with chicken. Excellent and enough for 2-3 persons to share. I had the Jambalaya entree and my wife had the orange chicken. Both served with rice, and delicious . The drinks and beer menu is extensive. They will give you a sample of a beer to try. They do beer fl I had the Hawaiian Longboat beer which I am familiar with. My wife ordered a pain killer, but it was not made properly. Only a few bars make a pain killer the right way. Place is noisier than average, but you can hear your table mates. Good for small groups. Not a "first date" place. Plenty of parking right outside. read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with friends. Parking was easy and the lot is right out front. We came inside and were seated right away in a booth in the bar area right away. The price is a little high for the alcohol, however the food is priced competitively for a main dish and side as well as appetizers. We ordered edemame and Miguel's queso was really good, especially the tortillas added with the chips for the queso. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was flavorful and the truffle fries were out of this world! Service was a little slow especially being after the dinner rush. Alisha and deanthony were amazing I haven't had better service before at any bar, they helped me navigate the giant beer wall and let me taste the ciders so I got something I truly enjoyed. Lunch with friend at University location, shown to table and given menus and drinks promptly, asked server Julie for few extra minutes before ordering. Unfortunately Julie never came back and we had to ask another server to go get her. Julie was curt and unapologetic, my friend asked for water refill. I observed Julie going to several men customers & rubbing their backs and talking, stopping by water carafes but no refill for my friend. Another server brought us our meals, which were very delicious, and he got refills for us. Julie eventually came back, obviously forgot about water refill request. She could tell we weren't pleased with her service and then came to table several times but when we went to pay, Julie left credit card payment tool on table and left. I ordered the vampire tacos those weren't good, they are suppose to have cheese in them but the waiter told me the burnt chips at the bottom were " supposed to be " the cheese. I think Yard House is a very solid choice all around in you're around this mall. I went two days in a row because I was in from out of town meeting people and had such a positive experience the first time around. Service was excellent both times even though the place was raging and I had to wait about a half hour both times for a two-person table. They seemed to be well staffed and both servers weee very friendly and efficient. Beer list isn't a mile long. Went with IPA recommendations both times and was not disappointed. Loved that they had a lot of size choices for beer. Food was good and reasonably priced. Chicken sandwich the first night and it was a bit under-seasoned. Second night tried the steak bowl and thought it was great. Very fresh and light despite the steak. The place itself was welcoming and inviting. Lively party atmosphere with noise to match. Almost all apps are 1/2 off and they are all delicious (minus the cheese curds) pizza are bomb, best chicken nachos, poke nachos are good, wings good, brussel spouts are amazing, sliders are good, honestly I've never had anything I haven't liked. Beers are couple bucks off as well as mixed drinks. My favorite things to get when I'm not there for happy hour is the Cali Stack (it's my favorite thing on the menu) or the Nashville hott sandwich. The Yard House is a very popular and successful chain restaurant. This location is new and very well set-up. They have large bar and seating areas. There are lots of staff to make your experience quite fun. I have tried a number of things and have enjoyed every one of them. Keep in mind that it's primarily upscale bar food but they do a really good job. They offer a HUGE selection of craft beers, a pretty decent wine list and a full bar of options. The outside area has Cornhole and covered tables. All in All, a really fantastic set-up. We went to Yard House with another couple on Tuesday, February 25. While they do not take reservations, their wait list system works flawlessly. When we arrived there were other diners who walked in. When I checked in, we were out at the front of the line and seated quickly and they honored our request not to be put in a high top as a member of our group suffers from MS. Our server came out almost immediately to take drink orders. Even though the menu did not indicate a mango margarita was available, they were happy to make one. I enjoyed the ahi tuna tower appetizer as my dinner. My SO chose the pork chop dinner and really enjoyed it. Our friends ordered the 4 cheese grilled cheese with tomato bisque and her husband ordered BLT sandwich. He asked for the bacon to be made crisp and sadly they burned it. The manager took care of the cost on his sandwich on the bill. Honestly, except for the overcooked bacon, the rest of the meals were great. We then moved on to the chicken buffalo pizza and a carnivore pizza. These are thin crust and not a cracker crust. Both were very good and delicious. Delightfully great lunch at Yard House. We have been to a Yard House in Orlando, so this was our second time at this chain close to UTC Mall in Sarasota. It just recently opened and the parking lot was full. I checked in with the hostess and they said they would text me when the table was ready. There is no initial text as an FYI. So just verify when you give them your phone number, they got it right. We sat at a comfy booth and the restaurant is pretty spacious. Our server was ok. He didn't come back much after the order we gave him. We ordered the Cilantro Like Chicken with Cauliflower Rice and the Lobster Garlic Noodles. The latter was mine and I was very happy with the flavor and the amount of lobster and shrimp. My hubby enjoyed his Chicken a lot. It's opening day, so I don't think its fair to judge and yet this opening dinner for us went smoothly. Our server was so sweet, he said we were his 3rd table of the day! This place was packed and had a 30 minute wait which was not bad, considering their online waitlist is not working. We figured the bar was a perfect spot to wait for our table. We were 100% correct. Plenty of smiling and friendly bartenders who were patient given the huge beer list, plus an awesome wine list. The wine pour was generous and the beer selection is a nice blend of craft and local brews. Stools are comfortable and the bar is easy for short folks to eat a meal. Enjoyed a couple of sips and we were messaged that our table was ready. There is a really nice array of booths the whole way around the restaurant. And a ton of high top tables along the inner corridor of the restaurant. There is some outside seating and play area. We are familiar with the food from their Orlando site, so we were totally looking forward to the wide range of options. I have to say, I truly appreciated the chicken tenders. Fresh and was told by the manager they are prepared and cooked to order. I could taste that they are made in-house and the truffle fries were also perfect with the tenders. Hubby went with a burger, that was too red for me, but he loved it. The kitchen needs to work on their temperature meter. Medium means pink in the middle, no red gushing. The onion rings could have been cooked a bit longer to get that crispy brown coating. The sauces were all good. Given this is the first day opened, they have done an amazing job with plenty of management working with the staff. Always a great sign of a well run establishment when staff is being helped by their leaders. Our server needed to be a bit more attentive, like refills of water, check on us when our food arrived, bring us the knife that was missing when our food was ordered, and be around when we were done, to check us out.
