If you are a fan of beer, and specifically beers on tap, the Yard House is your haven. With what seems to be hundreds of draft beers at a cheap prices during happy hour, it is easy to see why employees in the area flock here after work to enjoy some suds before trekking home. Because I am not much of a beer drinker, I partook in their happy hour cocktail specials which offered $3 off a cocktail. I got a pomegranate margarita and a tropical style mojito. Both drinks were at around $8 which wasn't bad figuring the drinks were super refreshing and tasty. Happy hour food - select appetizers are half off and we chose to get ahi tuna nachos and their onion ring tower. If you like onion rings - this is a must order item. The onion rings come out piping hot in a crispy, light beer batter and are served with two sauces. Kudos, if you order this behemoth and could actually finish all the rings. The ahi tuna nachos were awesome! I highly recommend it- the fish was fresh and vibrant, and the fried wontons that served as tortilla chips were so crispy and sopped up the sweet soy and wasabi glaze really well. I think you can get away with ordering a single appetizer at this place just given the size of the portions! But if you're hungry and willing to satisfy dinner with happy hour munchies - this is the place to do it. Met friends her for lunch yesterday. Service was friendly and fast enough during the work week so I didn't feel to rushed or late getting back to Pioneer Square. One of my friends ordered the onion rings to share we really liked that they weren't real thick like some places they were crunchy and the entire onion didn't get pulled out after one bite like some places. I went with the taco platter I had one each of the fish tacos. Generous size tacos, I'd probably skip the platter next time the beans were a little too runny for me and the rice seem more suited for an asian dish than for Mexican. The prettiest and yummiest went to my friend's selection of the spicy tuna appetizer she had just met friends for breakfast and was looking for something lighter this dish was perfect for her more like a deconstructed sushi she loved that there wasn't a lot of rice in it cause it was on the lighter side and fresh. read more

We were looking for a place that opened late, so we found this chain restaurant. We weren't expecting much. We were just hoping for edible. This bar/restaurant was shockingly good. We were sat right away. At first, we were sat by the kitchen (not sure if this was because we were with 2 kids), but the greeter was accommodating for another table. We had several items such as Cesar salads, burgers and pasta. All the items were very good and hearty portioned. The server was very nice and attentive. Didn't expect much from a chain restaurant. Came out of a Bumble launch party close by and honestly don't want to walk any further than I have to to grab food so this is it. Quite surprisingly the food was good! Menu is huge, there's something for everybody here. There's a whole vegetarian section too with maybe like 10 options, all the meat were substituted with Gardein soy product so yay, there's actual options, not just side dishes for vegetarian. I'm not vegetarian, but I couldn't resist the veggie wings that ironically cost more than real chicken wings. It was so tasty! My friend's Nashville chicken was off the hook also, crispy & spicy! The restaurant itself is very dark, make sure you watch where you are going. Cool vibes, lively crowds. Update - I have to lower it to three stars because the food is not consistent. I came twice and the truffle burger was not good. Today, the bottom bun was so soggy and wet that it was unappetizing. I have been to the Yardhouse chains in California and have never been too impressed but I really like the downtown Seattle location. The staff is friendly, it's clean, and the quality of the food is great ! I have been here three times enjoyed what I ordered each time. I have had the Cuban sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich is flavored well and the roast pork was moist. I am absolutely against dry meat so I was happy this wasn't the case. Their onion rings are so good and battered just the perfect amount. My favorite thing here is the black truffle burger. I might like this more than Umami Burger. The burger is flavorful and they are generous with the truffle cheese. I was totally ruining my New Years resolution for this decadent meal but it was worth every bite. The burger doesn't look like much but once you dig in, the flavor is wow. The bacon onion jam on a toasted bun was the perfect compliment to the tender beef patty and truffle cheese. It makes me really happy just to think about it :) I totally recommend this place! This is a review for 2 during Happy Hour. We arrived around 5pm with no wait for a table. My DH ordered local beer while I enjoyed a Washington Cabernet. Both were smooth and enjoyable. We shared the calamari and sliders and both were half price for HH. Between the appetizers and drinks we were full enough to call it a dinner. Service was good and the music was excellent. Visiting from the Bay Area, I had a bar on the type of breweries I like, and boy they met all of the criteria! Full sports bar kinda ambience, extremely high number of beer options, friendly server and good finger food to go with it...I give it a 5 stars! Went on a Monday evening and the place was packed so I'd imagine how difficult it is to get a table over weekends. Try to make a reservation in advance. There are screens everywhere so a good place to watch sports while catching up with friends. Happy hour (gives $2 off) is till 6pm on weekdays, and most beers come in four sizes. I love that they have a giant collection of beers - you'd expect nothing less from an upscale sports bar of this sorts. Our server was friendly to recommend beer according to our liking. My review is just based on Happy Hour Menu*** The food was delicious. Happy hour portion is still pretty big. My friend and I got the onion ring tower, poke nachos, fried Mac and cheese, boneless wings and a pizza. It filled us up quickly and we had to pack some home! My favorite was the poke nachos and the Korean wings - super flavorful. Poke had plenty of fish. The onion tower was just aight, probably won't get it again. Can't be compared to Red Robin's onion rings. The pizza was also bomb! Happy hour size is big; it actually looks like a normal size pizza to me lol so it's a really good deal. When you walk into this place you see sports on the TV's with a bar in the center. In the back you have tons of tables (this place is huge!). I've mostly noticed soccer on the TV when I've been. I've been to this place for lunch only. It's nice that they have a lunch option where you can do a half sandwich, a la carte taco, 8" pizza and soup or salad. You can also add fries to the lunch combo for around $2. It's a pretty good deal. The grilled cheese with tomato bisque is my favorite. The grilled cheese has blue cheese and tomato it and avocado or bacon can be added for extra. The tomato bisque is pretty thick and good as well. Another great thing about this place is the fact that they have the calories listed next to each item and a lot of options on the menu. This is great for anyone who has any dietary restrictions or are counting calories. Overall, this is a decent place to come for some casual food or a beer.
