I purchased 2 New cars and 1 used on November 6th. So i had purchased the extra warranty through the finance department because it sounded like a great idea. Not a good idea to expensive and new cars come with warranty already so i dont understqnd the concept. Purchased new 2022 GMC Terrain in June. Traded in my 2018 Terrain which was in mint condition. During the purchase I was told by salesman Mike Favela to come back in a day or two to get the rear seat covers and luggage rack back from my old Terrain for installation in my new purchase. Took three visits before I could get the luggage racks back. The attaching hardware was missing as was the rear seat covers. Mike kept telling me to come back. He later told me both items were most likely lost or stolen. After a plethora of attempts he (finally) told me his boss had no intention of covering the loss. This is unacceptable! Find a different dealership. The experience we had here was by far the worst I have ever seen at a dealership. We went in to look at a truck that was listed at 30k. They refused to work any numbers and told us its take it or leave it. The first initial salesman was great but the general sales manager Matt was by far the rudest person I have met in the industry. He came out upset because we stated it was a fair price for the truck and he stated tomorrow the truck will be up $3k more if it doesn't sell today. We explained we were asking for a little more for our trade in whether it be $500-$1000 more to make the deal happen. He refused to work numbers and made it a point to not allow us to talk as consumers and attempt to make us feel stupid that we don't know what we are talking about since we aren't in the industry. He got me into my dream car for and unbelievable price and there's no way I could've done it without him. This is the worst dealership I've ever had to deal with. We might as well have gone to a rinky dink dealership because we received the same customer service from top to bottom, service manager Frank to GM Matt. We just purchased a used 2018 GMC Sierra Denali from them. Wish I would've test driven the vehicle with the windows down but it was cold out and didn't expect them to put a vehicle on the lot with this issue. After a few days I drove it with the windows down in our neighborhood and noticed a squeeling sound coming from the driver side. I took the vehicle in to them to get looked at on a Tuesday because that's when their "diesel mechanic" would be there. Our truck was there from that Tuesdat until the following Monday! Not once did they call us for an update. I had to continuously hound them to get any info. We were finally given our vehicle back on Monday. They said that the squeak was because of the brand new brakes and should soon go away. After a few days, the squeak continued. I even sent them a video of the vehicle squeaking while I was driving through the neighborhood. Initially the GM Matt agreed with me and said he would show the video to their most experienced mechanic. He told me he would call the next morning with an update. True to form, he did not call. I to once again call myself. This time he tells me that the mechanic said because of the "special new brakes and after market rotors" I would hear a whistle from the brakes especially when driving near a wall. Mind you the video I sent as proof was nowhere near a wall of any sort. After I told him that the excuse was ridiculous he then proceeded to tell me that it was because there was "wind" going through the brakes. Not sure how much wind goes through a brake at 5mph on a non-windy day or how wind only blows through one side of the vehicle. At the end he told me they didn't have the money to repair the vehicle and I would be responsible for having it fixe. What a joke of a dealership! If you value customer service and communication then don't bother stopping at Yates Buick/GMC. You will NOT find those there. read more

I took my car to Yates last spring for a severe misfire on cylinder #3. To my dismay , it turned out the engine was toast by way of leak down test. After freaking out and sucking it up. I paid the dealer to replace it with a new (rebuilt) GM motor so I could get the 100k warranty. When the car was almost done I got a call about paying for an alignment, to which I replied "Does the tech have to remove the subframe to do the engine?" Yes "Well should it not be included in the original quote then?" They then agreed and did not try to charge me an additional 1% for the repair. The car returned at least 3 times due to the same misfire code that was originally the problem (although the car was not running like it did before the replacement). After a month or so it was finally taken care of. Around August I had my AC go out. I recharged it and it went right out again so I knew it was a significant leak. Being that I could not see the leak I took it to the dealer. The service advisor gave me a car to drive and in a couple hours I got a call and a quote to replace the front to rear AC line. $1,800!! So when I pushed back she said the part cost $800 and it is very labor intensive. I asked to be told where the leak was and I would pick it up. Upon pick up, it was obvious she didn't know where the leak was as I was told it was on the bottom around the power steering. While she did have some pictures, they didn't make any sense without some answers to my questions. I paid my $125 and left. No part was written on the estimate, just a quote of the total. Basically I paid $125 to have them diagnose it for themselves. Since I at least got a hint that it was one of front to rear AC lines I thought I would take a look. That Friday I pulled the car in my garage and after some searching found the leak (on the top of the engine), on one of the front to rear lines. I looked up the part and found it for about $600 shipped making the $800 dealer cost seem reasonable. Now here is where it gets good. On Saturday morning, I pulled the car into my garage, evacuated the AC, Isolated and removed the line, brazed the hole, reinstalled it and had it recharged and operating in 4 hours. All on my garage floor. No lift, never did the job before, no special tools and not a factory trained GM tech or a tech at all. So to summarize this review. The technician would have done this job in 2-3 hours at worst. I would have paid around $333 an hour. Unless it is warranty work avoid this stealership, I mean dealership. read more

Honestly one of the worst dealers I have talked to.. Jermaiha the sales manager probably don't know the rules as he explained me that if I live in NV I have to pay double taxes -AZ+NV tax !! Do you send a favor study a little bit more- it's impossible and not legal to charge a customer double sales tax!! I am a 78 year old and have been purchasing vehicles for 60 years in states all around the US. I purchased a new 2023 Buick from this Dealership on 12/5/2023 and had the worst experience of any dealership I have ever visited. I visited them because they advertised $10,000 off the 2023 model and two Buick rebates I qualified for amounting to $1,750. I was greeted by Sean Murphy and got an offer for my trade in and a paper listing the sticker price and $10,000 discount and part of the rebates. I politely told Sean that was more than I would pay and left. The next day, I got Email from Andres Orr asking what it would take for me to purchase, and I told him more for my trade-in. I talked to Orr and afterwards, got a new sheet texted increasing the trade-in but less $750 in rebates. I quickly pointed this out and ended up going to the Dealership on 12/5/2023 and purchased the vehicle. When I got home, I discovered that my Bill of Sale showed the sales price $750 more than the Sticker Price. I called Buick Customer Service and they advised me to work with the Dealer directly. I had already talked to Sean Murphy and he asked his boss who replied that I had received all I had coming, so I decided to make my complaint in writing by sending copies by certified mail to the three Yates listed on the website. On 12/11/2023, I mailed copies addressed to Mike Yates, his Daughter Whitney Yates Woods, and Son Tyler Yates. The Post Office delivered all three on 12/13/2023, and on 12/15/2023 I received an email from Buick asking about my purchase experience and I gave a negative review. On 12/18/2023, I was contacted by Sean Murphy about my review. Not to apology, but the chastise me for costing him $6,500 because of my review. I took the liberty to google the Yates family and discovered that Mike Yates the founder had passed away from covid in 2021 but Whitney and Tyler had been interviewed several times and said they intended to treat all customers like family, have no haggle pricing, and make sure all customers were happy with their experience. I don't feel like family, I feel like their sales managers looked upon me as a MARK and it appears that the Yates support them. I urge those who feel they were treated wrong to google and read those interviews to see how they think you should be treated. read more

Trying to take advantage of the current GM auto discounts I ended up at Yates. After finding the vehicle I was interested in, I asked for what my vehicle was worth. The sales associate Sean took my keys, checked it out, and brought me an offer. At Gateway Chev the manager would not even talk to me without a hard offer. That causes "Hard Inquiries" dings against your credit report which stay for two years and can cost you up to -20 points. Even if they low ball you an offer and you walk away. I liked the way Sean answered questions and boy does he know the GM vehicles. I found him straight forward and enjoyed the process. I am not big on car salesman but he was good. I would highly recommend him even if you are just comparing different models like I was. I have not bought at Yates before but so far I really like what I have experienced. We bought a used car from Yates and were treated well while we were making the deal. It was NOT a great deal, but we really wanted this particular car, so we paid the price. Since the car was not a GM vehicle, we had them write into the contract that they would repay us for any repairs we found necessary within the first few weeks. Of course there was an expensive sensor malfunction that showed up when we took the car to our mechanic in Gilbert the next day. Yates could not fix it so we got the OK from Yates to take the car to a dealer on our side of the valley and they agreed to repay us for the repair. I sent the receipts to Yates over a month ago and have called the used car sales manager at least six times. He won't even return my calls. Be very careful when you deal with these folks. They are great at the start, but down the road, they will abandon you. read more

Our Silverado broke down on a Friday afternoon. We did 35 miles an hour on the freeway with flashers going to get back to this dealership. Alex, can't find his card, in service hooked us up with a rental car, shuttled me over to get it. He helped us unhook the 5th wheel that had a dead battery so the truck could go in. The guy who sits next to him got on the computer and got me the number for the Red Lion that accepted pets. Overall a very painless experience, Alex made everything a pieces of cake. I am 70 and my husband is 80 and handicapped. Was just the easiest process and no stress. They took my car shield insurance, easy peasy! He said they might not be able to figure out what was wrong until Monday afternoon or Tuesday. He had the truck done on Tuesday, shuttled me back from the car rental after I returned the car, paid for the truck, and the next morning he helped me get the generator going on the 5th wheel, got the landing gear up and we were on our way. I called early on the day scheduled to see if I could move the time up - if available. I told the guy on the phone it wasn't critical, but if they had an ealier time available, I'd take it. He said 2:30, up an hour from my 3:30 appt. I arrived at 2:15 and told the young lady at the "quick change" service desk I was there for my appt. She asked a service Tech who was in the the small office how long it might be for a transmission service and he replied "3 to 4 hours". She apologized and said they had taken several customers in earlier. (??) I cancelled because I didn't want an overworked crabby Mechanic working on my vehicle. Filled out all proper paperwork with for financing a portion of vehicle and even left C/C info for a deposit to secure vehicle for me until I could make it down on Friday. Even got text msg's from dealership confirming my appointment date/time. Salesman continued to call me throughout the day as we progressed the process. Finally towards end of day they were trying to get me down immediately to finalize deal even thought we had confirm via phone call and text msg for Friday after I was released from duty. Location is over 3 hours away from where I'm stationed which is why I planed for Friday and filled out paperwork and left C/C info to confirm purchase. After pressure from Dealership I was going to make long drive after work on 4/7/21 to make sure I got this vehicle even thought I had already scheduled and confirmed for Friday. Dealership sold vehicle even though I submitted loan paperwork and left C/C information to secure and confirm purchase for Friday 4/9/21 when I was able to make the drive down. I even spent additional funds to run vehicle history report after confirming I was gonna purchase vehicle. David was great salesperson to work with but dealership was actively working to sell vehicle I confirmed purchase and filled out finance paperwork for. March 9, 2021 On March 8thwhile driving to a store the check engine light came on. The 2020 Buick Encore was driven home and check engine light was still on when I pulled into the garage. I called Yates Buick service department and made an appointment at 7:00 am on March 9th to have the car checked out. Upon arriving at the dealership, I spoke to Ashley and was told since the check engine light was no longer on that the vehicle was okay and there was no reason to check the code. Ashley stated that the techs were not compensated for such services. The techs are not paid for such service, is not my problem. I am the customer and I have a warranty that doesn't protect my vehicle. I told her I had called the service department back a second time to inform them the check engine light had gone out. I was given the choice to bring in the car or disregard it. Being a new car of course, I wanted to be safe not sorry, and I opted to bring the car for service. Ashley quickly threw that person under the bus saying she wasn't responsible for what "they" said. OMG really! So this new buick that is under warranty, yet Ashley wouldn't take the time to pull the code. What value is the warranty? I am done with Yates. My first review for Yates (specifically Katelyn who sold us the truck) was awesome. However, we live in California and was guaranteed they could truck our vehicle to our home. Jeremy the sales manager agreed and said they have a relationship with the "best" trucking transport company. We paid cash for a 2021 Sierra GMC Truck. This transaction was on a Sunday. Our truck was to leave the dealership in 2-3 days. Everyday we followed up, not GMC. Katelyn went out of town and left a colleague in charge, they never followed up. Jeremy took over and each day was worse. Only communication was what my husband initiated. Our truck continued to sit on the lot. On Wednesday (10 days later) Jeremy whined to my husband that he was "tired" of working on this and that it was taking way too much of his time and he was at the dealership until late at night trying to dealing with a transport company. He said the transporters didn't want to come to Northern California. My husband cancelled the truck and asked for our money back. Bought a $60,000 6 months ago truck. Plus $1000 Yates "Advantage" plan they force you to buy. Running board chrome has defect. They said would buff it out. Told them buff till their hearts content its a chrome defect it isnt coming out. Sure enough couldnt get it out. They then told me is due to water staining and they wont replace them. Is not water stain. Is a chrome defect likely some grease or other contamination on the steel during chroming process. Was going to buy a $40,000 suv from them. Not now. They wont stand behind their promises. Lost my business and dont recommend. read more

I bought my 2016 Chevy Silverado LT from this dealership with the New Car Protection Package. This package is something I said I did not want but they made it part of the deal. They tell you often it is a family owned dealership and they want you to fell like you are family. My truck had a broken tail light on the crew cab they said they would fix. It took me 7 call's & 4 visit's before I was told they would not fix it. Thankfully Robert(a sales manager) split the cost with me out of his own pocket. not happy about it but something was better then nothing. Then I took the truck to them for inspection so I could make use of the Protection Package. It cost me a couple thousand so I want to make full use of it. They made a video, took notes & pictures. Chris told me we have to submit the info and wait to see what they will approve.That was back in April. 2023. I waited and heard nothing back. I finally called but had to leave a message. never got a call back. Went down and spoke to Service Manage. Always nice to you while your there but nothing was done and he had no idea. My truck has been in for a diagnostic since Friday. Today is now Wednesday. I was supposed to be given a update on what is wrong with it so I can get a rental of some sort. But I have heard nothing. The assistant service manager Phillip has been no help. And rude it's my viechle I had dropped off and he can't even tell or call me with the truth about my truck. I had to have my father call who is on the name for my truck and then he would act all nice and assure us it's getting done.
