I requested to have my vehicle serviced , washed and vacuumed. The service was completed but, they gave me back a dirty truck! That's two times in a row! I was assured that the truck would be clean. The last two times I've gotten my GMC Sierra 2500 HD serviced , they have not done a very good job. It's a shame! You just lost an $80,000 sale from me, Yates! I am getting ready to replace my Toyota Tundra with another Sierra or a Yukon Denali but, I guess I will go to another GMC dealer! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT DEALERSHIP! Back in October 2020, my youngest son, with several medical diseases, one of which effects his thinking abilities went to Yates Buick GMC in Goodyear, AZ and found his DREAM CAR in the parking lot. Mind you, once my son has made a decision in his Life, there will be no changes. His Dream Car was the filthy vehicle parked in the parking lot, a 2019 Dodge Challenger 392 Hemi Scat. My son did some research on the vehicle and was very proud that he would be owning a Scat 6.4L 392 Hemi engine vehicle. Mind you on the side of the vehicle was an emblem 392 Hemi. The vehicle was purchase after the salesman told my son, my wife, and I that we getting an awesome Scat Dodge Challenger for the price we were getting from him. Lets fast forward to May 23, 2022 when my son's Dream Car, you know the 392 Hemi Scat, was violently rear ended. Accident report completed by Police and Insurance company notified. During the Insurance Adjusters investigation, she deemed my son's Dream Car would be totaled. Now, here comes the jaw dropping news from my Insurance Adjuster. The vehicle was not a 6.4 L Hemi Scat Dodge Challenger, it was actually a 5.7 L Hemi Dodge Challenger, a $6000-$10,000+ price difference when it comes down to replacing the Dream Car. This was also learned when I called a Dodge Dealership that a 392 Scat does not come with a 5.7L engine, only a 6.4L engine. A call was made to Yates Buick GMC General Manager, Jeremy Hogh. After informing Mr. Hogh of the above information he tried to state that I put a 392 emblem on my 5.7L Dodge Challenger. When he was advised that my wife had a dated photograph of the vehicle in his Yates Buick GMC parking lot after the vehicle was purchased, he changed his tune and informed me that any photograph could be doctored up and that he would not entertain the fact that Yates Buick GMC did anything wrong. I could think of many.....FALSE ADVERTISING, CORRUPT SALESMAN, CORRUPT DEALERSHIP, POOR MANGEMENT.....just to name a few. BUYERS BE AWARE AND STAY CLEAR OF YATES BUICK GMC in Goodyear, AZ! We've purchased 5 vehicles from Yates, and so when our daughter wanted to buy a vehicle, we looked on their website and found a great vehicle. We went to check out the vehicle and after waiting around for 30 minutes for someone to figure out where the vehicle was, we found out the vehicle was being used as a loaner and wouldn't be back until the end of the week. Someone messaged us mid week and said the vehicle would be back Wednesday and they would clean it up for us to see on Thursday. We made an appointment to come test drive the vehicle Thursday. Mid day on Thursday we got a text that the vehicle was being test driven by someone else. 20 minutes before our appointment time we received a text that the vehicle sold. What horrible customer service that they sold the vehicle we intended to buy right out from underneath us. We won't be doing anymore business with Yates. Mike Yates would be embarrassed and disappointed to see the great dealership he built turn into such a horrible place. Shame on Yates! read more

Dealerships always say "get your repairs done by them because they use top rated technicians and parts". Well let me tell you about Yates Buick. We bought a 2011 Buick Regal new from Yates and continued to use their service department for all repairs and maintenance (oil changes, sensors, engine problems and transmission). With only 70k miles the transmission went. 15k miles later the transmission breaks again. Should a transmission purchased from the dealership only last 15k miles? I don't believe it should. With a price quote of $5,000 I began to seek warranty assistance. Well it was out of warranty. Called GM directly, they contacted the dealership and said they are willing to deduct $500. My service rep was very helpful and gave me contact information of individuals there in the dealership who could help. After conversing with two individuals (Frank and Julio) they both told me they would call me back. A week later no reply. I did attempt to contact them during the week with no return call. Bottom line Yates Buick has poor quality parts, they don't stand behind their product and they have poor customer service (except for Armondo). Do not use their repair service or even buy a Buick. This would be the third transmission within 85,000 miles. So not worth it. There are definitely other car makers with better quality. My 2008 Honda Civic is still running with over 200,000 miles and never needed a new transmission. Now that is quality. read more

I purchased my 4Runner in September and had an amazing experience... Then 3 weeks ago I took it back in for an oil change and described what I thought to be warped rotors. I asked for my rotors be checked and replaced/ resurfaced due to my safety concern. It was shaking terribly when trying to stop. After being told 3 times by the service advisor that they were fine; I drove up there to throw a fit. They reassured me they were fine. Therefore I had to act like a Karen and ask for a manager. He then continued to say they probably were warped and they missed it. (You would think they want my money???). He told me we could work out a deal with me after I informed him of my background dealerships- but clearly I didn't trust this shop after that. I'm currently sitting and Toyota with a $1,000 bill because my warped rotors have now trashed my brakes. They apologized on your behalf and have told me how lucky I am I haven't gotten into an accident yet. Awesome job guys. Fantastic. You're incredibly lucky I haven't been in an actual accident. First off speaking to him on the phone about the purchase my husband and I wanted to make, he stated that what we wanted was not out of reach, so we made the hour drive. Secondly, as we are enjoying the test drive our salesperson informs us of NON-NEGOTIABLE add-ons. This added another $995 to the price of the car. Then after letting him run our credit he brings back info with a payment $200 more than what we were aiming for. Lastly, to the salesperson that helped us, stick to selling cars, you are in no position to be giving life lessons on how to improve anything. This was a waste of our time. Called and Beannyth, the Sales Mgr says they have to wait to get it cleared out of state, which will take a couple weeks more and even up to 90 days. They were not willing to help in any way to trade into something that has a valid AZ registration. Had they mentioned this issue, I never would have purchased it. We purchased a used vehible from Yates a few weeks ago. We realized that the horn was not working so called to bring it back in. It was still under warranty, but they had us take it to a different dealership for the service. They provided no loaner car and had the vehicle for over 10 days. We could not get any communication back from Yates and the other dealership could not get a hold of Yates either. We ended up paying for the repair because we were out of a vehicle for so long. The repair was over $300. We have tried to reach out to our salesman, service department, and supervisors without even a return call back. The other dealership that completed the repair has had the same issue in regard to communication. This is the second vehicle that we have purchased from Yates, but will not complete another transaction with them. This dealership is not trustworthy and we would NOT recommend purchasing from them. read more

We are deeply disappointed with this dealership. We are licensed foster parents with the state of Arizona. We purchased a used car from this dealership and while the car itself treated us well for almost 2 years, we found ourselves taking in additional foster children and needed extra seats. We went to a dealership closer to our home and were going to trade in the vehicle we purchased from Yates Buick GMC. It was then that we found out that our vehicle had been in TWO accidents, prior to us purchasing it - where the vehicle had to be towed off. Yates Buick DID NOT notify us of any of this prior to purchasing our vehicle. *ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ASK FOR YOUR CARFAX - LESSON LEARNED!* We got nothing near what we should have for our trade in. I contacted Yates Buick GMC and asked to speak the the GM - I've been waiting for that call back since 7/16/19. I spoke to a sales manager by the name of Matthew on 7/15/19. He was kind at first - then informed me that "I'm not sure that we are required to sign a waiver to disclose accidents on a vehicle. We provide a carfax... as a courtesy to our clients." Apparently we did not get that courtesy. Or even the courtesy of a call back. We will not be using this dealership again and will not be recommending to anyone. read more

Took my Sierra in for an oil change and battery replacement. To replace the battery in this model the braces and air intake system must be removed. After they did the work, the engine compartment parts were not reassembled correctly - missing bolts on cross braces. Air filter box bolt missing, air system hoses not assembled correctly. I had to fix all of this myself and find new bolts to replace the ones that were missing. Took it in a different time to get the A/C condenser replaced (known issue on this model year). Picked up the truck after it was repaired and the A/C didn't work. I had to take it in again for them to fix it again. A while after this, I started getting marketing email messages from the service manager. I replied and told him why I hesitated to come in ... explained these bad experiences. Suddenly I stopped getting email messages from them. Clearly they do not want me as a customer and will probably not take care of your vehicle, either, if you take it there. read more

Outstanding Experience! I'm not sure why there are poor reviews and I'm glad I didn't read them prior to my purchase. Yates had the auto that I was interested in. I made the trip from Yuma to Goodyear with a vehicle I was trading and not very high expectations. Usually a person gets minimal from a trade in no matter what the rig is worth. I went with a KBB certificate of worth but still wasn't expecting to be a happy buyer. The used vehicle I wanted was in extremely nice condition. The sales associate Michael Favela was a professional. Everything went fantastic. I got exactly what I wanted for my trade! I was in and out of the dealership within a two hour time frame -- from test drive to drive away. I thank Yates GMC for a great experience! read more

Yates Buick GMC - Suspicious activity - Car Dealers Near Me - Goodyear, Arizona

Once again, Yates did not complete the work required as well as damaging vehicle. In most cases, it takes more than one visit for Yates staff to correct problems within the vehicle that should have been fixed the first time. This impacts the customer. You should ask yourself, do you want to waste time on repairs or get it right the first time at a fair cost? Yates failed to advise me of costs required to repair windshield washer system or cost to repair XM radio reception. The XM radio repair that Yates techs declined to perform cost $28 for an AC Delco external fin antenna and just over an hour to swap out. Yates quoted $199 plus inordinate labor to perform the same repair. Yates techs failed to secure the engine fuse box cover, leaving this cover to flop around inside the engine compartment that I had to use compressed air to blow out. Residual dust was also wiped off the fuses as well as inside the fuse box cover, and then secured correctly. A three-prong plug was also left uncapped by a factory orange cover. Upon retrieval of my vehicle, a loud squeaking noise was emanating from the engine while running. It turns out that the tensioner pulley was failing after service was provided to replace radiator hoses, but the tech working on my vehicle was too deaf to hear it and report it back to me? Finally, on either side of two grease smudge marks right where a tech would have been inspecting the windshield washer was a deep dent in my vehicle's engine hood, looking to have been caused by a slot tip screwdriver. Yates now says that after reviewing alledged shop video, that there was no way that they are responsible for this damage. Did I mention that my external radio antenna was found inside my vehicle with deep gouges that appear to have been caused by a tech using a vise-grip inside of a right-sized box wrench to remove the antenna for some reason, but was never reinstalled. This doesn't even cover the prior visits to Yates where multiple subseqent visits were necessary in order to get my vehicle where it should have been the first time. Is this the kind of accountable and responsible auto shop you want working on your vehicle? Strongly recommend that you shy away from Yates for vehicular repairs. read more

Horrible dealership, I posted two months ago about this place, now I regret ever going there!! They sold me a used car with major engine problems!! I know buying a used car is a risk but I've never been so disappointed in my life. The salesman said the car had been checked thoroughly but it's blowing more smoke than cheech and Chong. Don't ever, EVER, visit this establishment!! Best part is!! I brought it to their attention three weeks after I bought it, left it with them for 3 days and was told they don't have Nissan certified mechanics!! Pretty sure their mechanics can diagnose a modern age internal combustion engine. so let me tell you what happened with me in this dealership and their Ghost cars. so we apply for a 2016 Jeep they ran the numbers we were approved and somehow the jeep was taken to auction without anyone knowing so then they pointed us to another 2012 Jeep which wasn't on the lot either we ran the numbers I sat down and waited 2 hours to sign, I left my deposit and I was told that the jeep was going to be to given to me two days after I signed which was a Wednesday. I originally was told that the vehicle needed an oil change and then two days later I was told the vehicle had electrical issues and then now today I was told that there was something wrong with the head of the vehicle so they wanted to unravel the deal but come to find out they were sending pictures to my wife for a new Jeep a 2018 and they were trying to put us in that jeep anyone who buys a vehicle from this dealership beware they have no idea what the fuck they're doing also they're so excited that they sold 250 vehicles in one month but the two vehicles they sold us weren't even on the lot. right now I'm searching attorneys if anyone knows of any attorney that I can talk with that I can I'm going to hold this company accountable for what they did they misrepresented the vehicle they bate and switched us and I'm sure there's other shit they did that I really can't pinpoint. I got my gmc truck from here. Everything was good satisfied with everything except one thing. I paid for my gap insurance ( everything covered) and i got the truck with the front camera cracked. The insurance covers that. The problem is when they trying to sell you a truck they are very professional communicative everyone pays attention but when you do have to repair it seems like not. Is been 6 months since they put my on a list to wait until they have another truck to give me instead while they work on mine. Their excuse is that they don't have a truck to give me instead. I came in today just looking at what type of car I would like to see myself in the future. After a few test drives, Hector was a very great person and made sure I got the car that I saw myself in. At first, I just wanted a proposal on two different vehicles and how much it would be as a rough estimate without pulling my credit. Let me say that it was not far off from what the proposal was. After they were able to talk to the bank and let them know that I would be walking away if I did not get the vehicle somehow they made it happen! I was so excited that I was able to walk away with the car that I wanted, but also Hector fought tooth and nail to make sure I got the payment that I wanted nothing more. I highly would go back, but only if Hector was there to sell me another car. read more

I have been going to Yates Buick GMC for years for service on 3 of my vehicles. Great staff etc. I made an appointment last week on 1/13/22 for an 8:30am repair on 1/19/22. Advisor told me she would call by 2pm with an update. She did call at 2pm and stated that they would not be getting to my car today because it is in a queue and other cars in front of me. Went on to tell me she will call 1/20/22 and update me again. She does call at 2pm this day but tells me tech is about to the take the car for a test drive and should have answers by the end of her shift at 6pm. This time she calls at 6:15pm and tells me they still don't have any answers and will call me at 8am on Friday. After thinking about it I went in person to ask for my keys back and move on. It was also mentioned to me that the mechanic was not sure as to what was wrong. With this and a previous repair that went wrong but corrected I cannot take my cars there for service anymore. Maybe it's a Covid thing but it's a shame. read more

Really disappointed with Yates. Traded in my Buick LaCross"hybrid"--purchased from Yates -- problem started before my warranty expired. The problem started with the battery, then alternator, than started again! 4 batteries and an alternator later, left me bitter with Yates. This should have been detected before my warranty expired. They wouldn't even replace a relatively new battery they replaced while under warranty. Only had the battery for 4-6 months... Autozone could have done better than that. Their mandatory purchase of window tint, and ding protection was also a joke. There 3rd party company and painter never called me back to fix the dings. I was finally tired of owning a car from this company. I only hope the car I traded in is a better car for someone else. I can't see ever buying another car from Yates again. read more

Took our GMC in for servicing while on vacation in Goodyear. To be fair, I was told up front that it would take 2 to 3 days to perform a diagnostic on my car when I made the appointment. At 2 1/2 days I hadn't heard anything from the service advisor so I reached out to check on status. I was told by the service advisor that their technicians were very backed up and my car would be one of the next cars to go to the technician and that he would update me in the next day or so. At that point I informed them that I would like to get my car back to take it to another shop (I had little confidence that he would actually reach out to me on progress and I was fed up with the lack of communication). I was told that "it was my car and that was my prerogative". When I picked up my car, there was not a hint of contrition nor any "we're sorry that it didn't work out" communication. I was told by friends that the dealer service departments in the area have a poor reputation for customer service and this definitely served as confirmation. I ultimately ended up taking my car to Litchfield Auto Repair which diagnosed the problem (bad left front bearing hub) and completed the repairs the same day. Do not take your car into this dealership for any service work. They appear to be very poorly managed, are poor at communicating and are quite unprofessional. read more

Our truck was at this dealership for almost a month for a repair! I am very dissatisfied with the customer service. Our first rep handling our repair was Miguel. He gave us a date he was going to call back and didn't we called the following day from the promised follow up date and nothing only voicemails and was hung up on multiple times. Then to come find out he was in training to get a promotion so that's why we were pushed aside! They gave our repair job to a "service manager" Tidus! Then supposedly all that was needed to start was to give authorization for the dissemble which we did and still a week later nothing. Tidus told us he would have an update by Monday and follow up. Turns out he's off on Mondays! Like why say your going to do something and not do it! Who wouldn't get upset! He also does not let you express your self! Any concerns you have you have to make it known he's being rude by interrupting and not letting me finish talking. Once we got our truck back finally it started jerking when hitting the first RPM, I contacted Yates and Tidus advised me he couldn't do anything that I would need to contact the service contract! The service contract told me that I didn't need to contact them that we should just take it to Yates. At that point We refused to take it back to Yates and took it to a different dealership. Turns out our transmission had oil in excess and the oil that was used was an off market brand we were told that's not the oil used for our transmission! And they didn't reprogram it! I'm so furious and will not recommend this dealership to anyone! read more

My daughter took her suv here for a diagnostic test They told her diagnostic would cost 268$ max amount !!!!! Well they checked it for 2 hours couldn't find what was wrong! So they call my daughter and say they will have to charge her additional $268 for another troubleshooting!!!!! So what happen to only charge 1 diagnostic fee !! Seems like they were charging $268 every 2 hours ! That wasn't what they told my daughter before she towed her vehicle here !! If was told they we're going to charge every 2 hours never would've taken it ! They think once they got vehicle there you will pay what they want!!!!! Bad service here!! Let's just say I've brought my vehicle in on multiple occasions and always end up conveniently needing additional random items replaced; air compressor, transmission temp sensor, intake filter box assembly, coolant overflow tank...and that doesn't take into account the fact that GM's 8-speed nightmare has literally had CONSTANT issues since I purchased it 4 years ago, and all any GMC dealer wants to do is blame it on "programming-related issues" with the computer-controlled transmission.
