I talked to Brent today , THE general manager, HE threatened to sue me and said they have sued many others over yelp reviews..bottom line.. they have bullied me, took my money did NOT make the repairs properly, and this jump wire is not the way a dealership should make proper repairs.. instead of accepting blame, or even asking to see this picture, Brent's answer was was to blame other dealerships stating "it must be Arrowhead Cadillac's fault when they repaired my vehicle.." Filled out all proper paperwork with for financing a portion of vehicle and even left C/C info for a deposit to secure vehicle for me until I could make it down on Friday. Even got text msg's from dealership confirming my appointment date/time. Salesman continued to call me throughout the day as we progressed the process. Finally towards end of day they were trying to get me down immediately to finalize deal even thought we had confirm via phone call and text msg for Friday after I was released from duty. Location is over 3 hours away from where I'm stationed which is why I planed for Friday and filled out paperwork and left C/C info to confirm purchase. After pressure from Dealership I was going to make long drive after work on 4/7/21 to make sure I got this vehicle even thought I had already scheduled and confirmed for Friday. Dealership sold vehicle even though I submitted loan paperwork and left C/C information to secure and confirm purchase for Friday 4/9/21 when I was able to make the drive down. I even spent additional funds to run vehicle history report after confirming I was gonna purchase vehicle. David was great salesperson to work with but dealership was actively working to sell vehicle I confirmed purchase and filled out finance paperwork for. March 9, 2021 On March 8thwhile driving to a store the check engine light came on. The 2020 Buick Encore was driven home and check engine light was still on when I pulled into the garage. I called Yates Buick service department and made an appointment at 7:00 am on March 9th to have the car checked out. Upon arriving at the dealership, I spoke to Ashley and was told since the check engine light was no longer on that the vehicle was okay and there was no reason to check the code. Ashley stated that the techs were not compensated for such services. The techs are not paid for such service, is not my problem. I am the customer and I have a warranty that doesn't protect my vehicle. I told her I had called the service department back a second time to inform them the check engine light had gone out. I was given the choice to bring in the car or disregard it. Being a new car of course, I wanted to be safe not sorry, and I opted to bring the car for service. Ashley quickly threw that person under the bus saying she wasn't responsible for what "they" said. OMG really! So this new buick that is under warranty, yet Ashley wouldn't take the time to pull the code. What value is the warranty? I am done with Yates. My first review for Yates (specifically Katelyn who sold us the truck) was awesome. However, we live in California and was guaranteed they could truck our vehicle to our home. Jeremy the sales manager agreed and said they have a relationship with the "best" trucking transport company. We paid cash for a 2021 Sierra GMC Truck. This transaction was on a Sunday. Our truck was to leave the dealership in 2-3 days. Everyday we followed up, not GMC. Katelyn went out of town and left a colleague in charge, they never followed up. Jeremy took over and each day was worse. Only communication was what my husband initiated. Our truck continued to sit on the lot. On Wednesday (10 days later) Jeremy whined to my husband that he was "tired" of working on this and that it was taking way too much of his time and he was at the dealership until late at night trying to dealing with a transport company. He said the transporters didn't want to come to Northern California. My husband cancelled the truck and asked for our money back. Bought a $60,000 6 months ago truck. Plus $1000 Yates "Advantage" plan they force you to buy. Running board chrome has defect. They said would buff it out. Told them buff till their hearts content its a chrome defect it isnt coming out. Sure enough couldnt get it out. They then told me is due to water staining and they wont replace them. Is not water stain. Is a chrome defect likely some grease or other contamination on the steel during chroming process. Was going to buy a $40,000 suv from them. Not now. Since 2009, Yates has serviced my car and I always had praise for the service they provided. I didn't realize the service department was too busy to honor an appointment made one week in advance. I scheduled my appointment for a AC recharge and tire monitor code entry. Appointment was made for Thursday at 4:00 pm, they informed that vehicle needed to be left overnight, not an issue. Asked for a ride home, after waiting in the lounge for 45 minutes, I decided to check with the service desk about my ride home. Stood in front of 4 service reps that were too busy talking on the phone to even look up an acknowledge my presence, after about 5 minutes of feeling invisible, decided to go back to the lounge and see if I could get help with a shuttle ride, rang the buzzer at the parts desk, 5 minutes later a gentlemen came to to front and said he'll go over to the service desk to check on the shuttle. Apparently, the Service agent forgot to ask about my ride, before he went " into a meeting." One and a half hours later Lyft brought me home. i contacted Yates the next afternoon on Friday .... they claimed they left messages that the car would not be done till Monday, the number called was the wrong number even though I gave them the correct phone number. Okay, so I was without transportation Friday, Saturday, Sunday, no biggie, it's worth waiting for cool air conditioning when it's 117 degrees. On Monday, I took off work early, the same as Friday and was planning on getting my car before they close at 6:00...called the service department at 4 pm... their response is , "sorry , we're too busy to get to your car, there are 3 cars in front of yours, we don't know when we can get to it." plus he stated " Camelback Toyota is 3 weeks behind for AC service." Thanks Mister, that really makes me feel better. Lesson learned ... if you need your car AC recharged .... don't count on it being done until all the business before you is done first, taking no less than 3 to 4 days. I was debating whether I wanted to review this place of not. My significant other took my truck in because it's closer for him to his job. By the end they where trying to charge us almost $1k and said by replacing my battery it voids my warranty. (I called GM warranty customer service and it doesnt, especially since the issue happened before replacing the battery and I have documenting from the other dealership about it.) I was pretty livid about the situation of the manner this place was handling the situation, and then this morning I noticed they forgot to take out the number paper they place in the cars. I called early on the day scheduled to see if I could move the time up - if available. I told the guy on the phone it wasn't critical, but if they had an ealier time available, I'd take it. He said 2:30, up an hour from my 3:30 appt. I arrived at 2:15 and told the young lady at the "quick change" service desk I was there for my appt. She asked a service Tech who was in the the small office how long it might be for a transmission service and he replied "3 to 4 hours". She apologized and said they had taken several customers in earlier. (??) I cancelled because I didn't want an overworked crabby Mechanic working on my vehicle. Bottom line is I'll never return to Yates GMC again. I was surprised by the unprofessional way the service Dept is run there. read more

So they put us into another car that wasn't on the lot as it was being "serviced" and we can pick up next day. Well 2 weeks later no car and to find out it has tons of issues and they are sending to auction. I have in text from them there is nothing wrong with the car and just waiting on service. They sat on my money dinged my credit just to say they can't do the deal now. If it was the other way around and we mislead them in any way it wouldn't fly. After initial vehicle purchase I had immediate tire balance issues and spent the next several month buying a total of six tires from Yates "because of my driving causing the tires to defect". One stop at discount with a proper tire balance fixed this issue. Months goes on and my high pressure fuel pump is making a bad noise, I take it in 6 - 7 maybe 8 times they refuse to acknowledge anything is wrong. 7 thousand dollars out of my pocket with a reputable mechanic and issue is fixed and yes I'm still making payments and I am still under warranty. I bought my 2016 Chevy Silverado LT from this dealership with the New Car Protection Package. This package is something I said I did not want but they made it part of the deal. They tell you often it is a family owned dealership and they want you to fell like you are family. My truck had a broken tail light on the crew cab they said they would fix. It took me 7 call's & 4 visit's before I was told they would not fix it. Thankfully Robert(a sales manager) split the cost with me out of his own pocket. not happy about it but something was better then nothing. Then I took the truck to them for inspection so I could make use of the Protection Package. It cost me a couple thousand so I want to make full use of it. They made a video, took notes & pictures. Chris told me we have to submit the info and wait to see what they will approve.That was back in April. 2023. I waited and heard nothing back. I finally called but had to leave a message. never got a call back. Went down and spoke to Service Manage. Always nice to you while your there but nothing was done and he had no idea. I was told they will have to call me back. Waited a few more weeks. Went down to Service Center and was told Service Manager was not there and they would have home call me. Again no call!! It is now June and I guess I will have to go down there again. Please do yourself a favor.. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR ANYTHING... This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. I live in another state and have either made the drive or caught a flight to come here and be treated like family. My sales person this time was Sean Naegler. I originally ordered my truck through Sean and gave him the specifics that I wanted on it. I could not have done this at the worst time due to the economy recovering. The truck I bought just happens to be one of the most popular on the market which unfortunately drove the price up and then you have the shortage in computer chips that compounded the shortage of trucks. Due to these issues I unfortunately was not the most patient person and Sean was great with dealing with me and understood. While this was going on, about eight weeks into the ordering process, Sean called me and said that they have another vehicle that had been ordered and was now available since that deal fell through. This vehicle had all of the major items I had ordered and was only missing a couple of small items that didn't mean much. My wife and I were able to complete a deal over the phone/email prior to catching a flight to Phoenix. On the day of delivery, I flew into town and Sean picked me up at the airport. During our ride back to the dealership I found out that he was at work specifically to deliver the vehicle to me (this day was in fact his day off). Once at the dealership I went into the finance office and within about 30 minutes, give or take, I was finished and ready to hit the road. Prior to this Sean came out to the truck with me and walked me through everything I did not know about and got me set up. Sean was very professional throughout the entire purchasing process. I truly appreciated him taking time out of his personal time away from his daily job to come pick me up from the airport and deliver the truck to me. Bought a new vehicle from them in August 2022. Brakes have been squealing and grinding since a week after I bought it. Brought it in for my first oil change and requested to have the brakes checked and they said there was nothing wrong with them. Since then, I have been bringing the vehicle to another buick dealership and they have been trying to solve the issue and did find something wrong with the front brake pads. Picked the truck up from Yates. They ended up taking it to a performance shop who may have found a weld leak at the o2 sensor. They took out the "race cats" and installed standard ones. So far no check engine light. Shane has communicated much better this time. The light came on again. They said it's a different code and they can't do anything about it because they are a GMC and the truck is a Ram. Shane said that the sales manager would give me a great deal if I wanted to trade it in on something else. I wasn't planning on it, but I noticed a used Raptor and thought I'd give them a try. The salesman "Mike" said that he spoke with he sales manager and confirm that I would get a "slamming deal". Apparently a "slamming deal" means they want to slam me. They offered low trade in value for my truck that they sold me broken from day one and tried to charge me their full window sticker price on the raptor. Where is the deal?!? It doesn't exist. They obviously don't care about their customers or making things right. So now I have to take the truck to a real dealer and use my warranty to pay for the repairs. I'm sure I need to call a lawyer. I bought my 2015 Denali Duramax from Matt at Yates. I could not be happier with the experience as a whole. I was in a bad car wreck and my 2005 Duramax with 189k miles at that time that I bought new was totaled. I wasn't ready to spend the $ on a new truck so I spend 2 weeks looking around at auctions and online. After getting frustrated with the lack of decent used trucks available for sale I test drove a 2015 Duramax SLE similar to my wrecked one at Liberty GMC. I feel in love with it immediately but the salesman there was, in the only way to put it, just downright ignorant. So needless to say I left. I did gain one piece of knowledge while being at that dealership. Found out that GMC had Denali Duramax's as Super Bowl courtesy vehicles. I decided this would be a great time to get a fully loaded truck barely above the price of a mid-level package. So I went online, found the list of GMC dealers in the Phoenix area and began to call them all to find the truck I wanted. I got many responses such as "Hold for a bit and I'll run out and check" or "Give me your name and number and I'll call you back". Typical dealership BS games (I've bought many new vehicles before so I can smell BS from 50 miles away). When I got down the list and called Yates GMC I was transferred to Matt Van Horne in Sales. I asked him what was available from the super bowl trucks. He knew immediately that he had a black one and also an iridium metallic. Being in AZ I would never buy a black truck so I scratched that one off the list. Considering trucks have gone up in price a lot in the last 10 years! If I was going to buy fully loaded I wanted FULLY loaded. I asked him if the iridium metallic one had a moonroof, once again he knew immediately and said yes. I knew at this point this would be my truck. He then offered to text me some photos of the truck which I got promptly. I also asked him to get me a price on the truck which he also did promptly (I need to add that this was the only dealer to give me a written price before I came to see the vehicle). Having the price and pics I felt pretty confident so I called him back to make an appt 2 days later in the morning to come see it. I arrived at the Dealer in the morning at the time scheduled and Matt had the truck pulled up front and was available as soon as I got there. Drove it for about 10 miles and I was pretty sold, although I really wanted a lighter color, this truck fit the bill everywhere else. We went back and forth on price a bit and settled at what I felt was VERY fair. Now I will add that they are going to PEN in the window tint, and this package they call Yates advantage (which the average person will never use) to your sale so figure another $900. Pretty much pure profit for the dealer but hey it's a business and they need to make money too. I felt I got a GREAT price on the truck so I wasn't too upset about this. Overall I could not be happier with the dealer and the service and knowledge provided by Matt Van Horne as a sales consultant. Out of 10 or so new vehicles I've bought in my life this is HANDS DOWN the BEST EXPERIENCE I have had at a new car dealer. The sales group is outstanding and extremely helpful. They took the time and did not rush anything. I felt very comfortable buying 3 different vehicles in one day. They made us feel important and respected. I can not say the same for their service department. I had an issue with one of my purchased cars. One of the service reps was extremely rude and Condescending. The more I tried to explain the issue, the deeper he dug the hole he was getting into. I left with the issue not being addressed.
