Recently helped a friend purchase a used 2012 Honda CRV, and traded in a 2006 Honda Civic. The CRV needed the paint buffed, fix the fog light and the rear trim. These 3 items were addressed while doing the negotiations and made an agreement, went through financing and everything was good. Scheduled an appointment to get the work done. The polished the car and fixed the fog light but wanted to charge her to fix the rear trim piece. I wanted to put that item on the we owe paperwork, but Chris Helm our salesperson told me it was standard that it didn't need to be listed and will be fixed. I helped my friend get a car just in case the dealer wants to take advantage of someone, well they did with her when I wasn't around. Dealer refused to fix what was agreed, even though this was a small item, they lost my trust in buying a future truck and the referrals to this dealer. read more

The worst car buying experience I have ever gone through. The finance manager flat out lied and continued to lie through the conversation I had with him and the sales manager after my sale. He sold me on the additional protection plan, extended coverage and gap insurance. Upon deliver of the vehicle when they ran the car through the car wash it shattered the sunroof. I was unable to take deliver of the vehicle that day and they gave me a loaner which barely had any gas and soon as I took it off of the lot the low tire pressure indicators came on. Within 3 days of signing I had left 2 voicemail messages with the finance manager to remove all the add on's from my loan and had asked him to return my call to verify. He never returned my calls that week. The following week I called again and left 2 additional voicemail messages for a total of 4, which he did not return any of my calls. I finally got a hold of him before my vehicle was delivered to my home and he said he took everything off my loan and I was good to go and I just needed to resign the new papers. When my vehicle got delivered he added 2% on to my APR. I had left messages for the general manager to call me. He never did. I called again and again and they connected me with the sales manager and finance manager. The amount of BS the finance manager spewed was unbelievable. When I originally signed with him he said I could refinance somewhere else for a better rate he just asked that I keep the loan through them for 4 months. Over the phone he lied about returning my calls and completely dominated the conversation and acted like he had no recollection of his prior conversations with me when I was in the dealership. RUN AWAY from this dealership! I can keep going on and on about everything that went wrong with this sale but I will just stop and warn anyone about the poor customer service experience. Bought a truck here last year. In 4 months the transmission blew. That cost me 5 grand. That part I can understand, I did take the risk of buying a new vehicle. However we all know they knew it was probably going soon. Cause they do an inspection right? Or they just say that, because I brought the truck back after the first week I got it and was telling them how it shakes so much... they said oh it's just your tires... lmao well fast forward to now. I get get new tires and go get an alignment and the alignment shop said dude we can't even align this thing. The adjusters are sheared off and your ball joints are falling apart. That is why it was shaking! I should of known better but this was my first lifted truck so I believe that tires BS. Once the honest shop said ball joints it clicked that that's what's been causing the truck to shake to shake this whole time. This is about a $1000 repair. The saddest part of this is... this dealership was more concerned about making money, rather then providing a safe vehicle. Bad ball joints? You realize this this snaps, my tire comes off? Imagine that situation. Going 70mph down the freeway and your tire comes, that would equate to loss of steering and a very ugly situation. I'm not one to post negative reviews. But this is unacceptable and them telling me they do an inspection is bullshit because it took the honest shop 5 seconds to realize it's the ball joints and not my tires lol. If you buy a vehicle here, hold them accountable and go to another shop to have your vehicle inspected. This is scummy and I would ultimately just recommend going elsewhere. read more

I bought my car here and the case buying experience was less than stellar but I dealt with it. 4 months later I brought car in too fix a headlight problem and get my oil changed. I set an appointment for 10. They told me they were busy and it will be An hour or so. I said i have An appointment. They basically told need that didn't matter. Apparently the appointment is meaningless. Two hours later they called me up and said they had changed my oil. I asked about the headlight issue. They hadn't even looked at it. I told them that was the main reason i was here. I'm not sure what They were doing for 2 hours. We walked out to the car and he said the headlight isn't working. I said no kidding. They said they could change the lightbulb (which I don't think that is the problem) but that it would take another couple hours. I left. Super friendly and super quick ! Called to see if the car I was interested in was still available and was scheduled a test drive at around 9:30 in the morning. I had to go to work at noon so as soon as I got there MJ greeted me right away and gave me the keys to test drive. Absolutely loved it and as soon as we came back I told her I wanted it. Got the paperwork done in a quick and timely manner. We were having a little trouble with the insurance but MJ took action and found me an affordable policy. Yates sold me a 2014 Ram 2500 pickup....they assured me that they had inspected the entire vehicle and everything was in working order....they assured me that all fluids would be topped off upon delivery of the truck..I had to leave town for 8 days so I left them a $5000 earnest check and asked them not to cash it until I returned to Avondale and took delivery on the vehicle because I wasn't sure whether I would finance the truck or pay cash for it...when I took delivery the DEF had not been topped off and the fuel tank was less than half full.....when I inquired about the fluids they filled the DEF but told me that they didn't fill the tank on used vehicles.....I drove off the lot and decided to tune the radio to 550 am only to find that the am frequency didn't work......I returned to the dealer and told Eddie that the radio wasn't working...he said he would discuss this with the techs.....he returned a few minutes later and said the techs didn't know how to fix it...he removed the antenna ...looked down the hole replaced the antenna and said sorry.....I took the vehicle to Larry Miller Dodge down the road...I paid $140 to find out that the am module of the radio needed to be replaced and the cost would be $750...they also told me that there were two factory recalls on the vehicle....they fixed one and told me the parts weren't available to correct the suspension recall but they would call me when the parts were available....imagine Yates Buick and GMC selling me an unsafe vehicle....I made an appointment to speak with Brent the General Manager and his comments were..we have only one guy who checks used vehicles......comedy of errors....sometimes things fall through the cracks....assured me he would call and have his radio guy check my radio...never happened.....and then today I got a call that the state of Arizona had contacted them and said they may rescind the license on the vehicle because it had not passed the emissions test.....Buy a vehicle or have anything to do with Yates Buick GMC in the future or recommend them to my friends and family....I think not...!!..Oh and by the way...they cashed my $5000 earnest check before I returned to town.... read more

I had just one day to decide and buy a new vehicle and after visiting other car dealerships along with a closer GMC dealership I was happy with Yates Buick GMC. I was given a discount and a final out the door price over the phone and a picture of it sent to me and no one was able to beat their price. When I drove out to Goodyear to get the Vehicle I had a no hassle trade in along with no surprises Or changes to the price I was given. I showed up parked my car at the vehicle that was waiting up front for me on a test drive for 10 minutes and came back and did the paperwork and left shortly after with my new vehicle. I am a difficult customer as my time is very limited and I can be demanding and impatient. MJ was very accommodating to my schedule needs and streamlined the process to get things done as quickly as possible. The car was waiting for me when I got there to test drive and talk numbers as well as everything was ready for me when it came time to pick up the car and sign the paperwork. The financing went well and as expected. I had done my research so I knew what the financing should be. The financing department did not try any funny stuff. I want every person to know who is thinking of buying a Buick Enclave to not do it!!! As a consumer you should know that it loses 42% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot!!! We have a 2016 Buick Premier all wheel drive Enclave In Excellent condition with 9700 miles on it that we bought back in June of 2016 with and MSRP of $54,000 and we went to Yates to trade it in today and was told they would give us $31,000 for it! What a joke!! Pretty sad when you can't even go to a Buick dealer and a good trade in value! They even told us fair value was $27,000....so keep that in mind when you go to purchase a new Buick Enclave!! We just had the best car buying experience in a very long time. Adrian, Matt and Jeremy made this super simple and no hassle. Everyone worked to make it win win. I had another deal on the table that was actually better but it took so much of a hassle to get done that left it because these folks made me feel like I wasn't asking them to take food out their children's mouths. If it wasn't washing and fueling the vehicle we would be in and out probably in less than a couple of hours. Knew about what he was talking about and was able to provide tons of info where I was lacking knowledge. Obviously a car enthusiast. Felt more as if I was talking to a friend than a salesman. He took me for a ride in the car I was looking at purchasing, didn't make me fill out paperwork or provide any info, was just willing and what to help. So disappointed in this dealership. I will start by saying everyone for the exception of Brent was extremely kind. But kindness doesn't give me back my 5 thousand dollar kit. I purchased the BEST truck on the lot and the head light went out BEFORE purchase. Informed Kelly our salesman. He said no problem he will have the tech work on it next week and get all fixed. Next week comes and I drive AN HOUR there just to be told "sorry we didn't realize what lights you had on it. Come back next week" next week comes and I drive another hour there. After sitting and waiting FOUR hours to be told "sorry it's not working, I'll try and order another one. Come back in 2 weeks" 2 weeks come and they don't even call me! I have to call them and ask when it's gonna be in. After sitting and waiting another four hours I'm told "sorry still not working we are gonna take off a 3 thousand dollar kit and give you guys absolutely nothing and just put all factory stuff back on it" I literally had to FIGHT just to get a fucking oil change from them in exchange for FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. And after all of it, Brent said to me "be glad, if I knew of any of this going on, I would have never had them do any of it and made you figure it out" absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy from here unless you wanna be given a big ol middle finger. read more

I bought a 2009 silvarado from these people and trusted my salesman Anthony what a sad day in my life! I could go on and on and on about what went wrong with this truck. I bought this truck having faith in what he was telling me that was my first mistake. long story short my brakes were metal to metal when I left the lot, but I didn't know that then .i t had a bad shake in the front end , and my husband drove it to work and said there are some bad things wrong with this truck and he gave me a list and this is the list! bad shake in front end, door handle feels like it's going to come off, selector knob on air conditioner makes really loud noise when selecting level of air position, and said some other things where wrong but to upset to remember And told me to take it back! he called salesman and told him the issues oh yeah and battery cables were shot and battery. and salesman said no problem we will fix and seat was broke he said no problem. But the next day I woke up and my husband had a heart attack and passed away. So it took me awhile to get back in there because of obvious reasons. My point is it ended up costing me $2,000 for Tire because there was a bubble on the tire and metal to metal brakes and that's the way I left a lot I don't know how those people to do that to me or anybody it's heartbreaking. if my husband was still alive he would have made them take care of all the crap that was wrong with this truck. the molding flew off they charged me $350 for that they charge me for the battery cables end up costing me $950 then the air conditioning had water blowing out of it and pouring water all over me coming out of the vents and there is nothing I can do about all of this I just have to suck it up. I went in there and talk to the GM and he was about as cold as ice and the service manager is about as cold as ice I cannot believe they even put that truck on the lot under those conditions I'm just sick now I'm stuck with this worthless truck. They said they fix the air conditioning today we will see they had to put new brakes on it they said they spent 3000 dollars and other details on the truck which is bull crap and I spent $350 molding that I had in my hand and all they had to do was a fix it to the side of the truck. I will never in my life recommend Yates to anybody I have lived here all my life. and nobody cares that this is happened to me. I have never met so many cold people in my life all it's about is the money not customer care then they charge me $299.00 for window tint, well the windows were all ready tinted when I bought it. so what the hell. I am NOT a vindictive person but what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong and this was wrong on so many levels. then I go into yates last week because of shake in front end again come to find out after only putting on 2,500 miles truck tire left front has a bubble in it and tire could blow anytime. all this time that's what was wrong with the shaking in the front end. cost $800.00 to put new tires on. they said I only need that one but I put all new because if one is bad they all are bad from 09. my whole point here is how in hell did they let me drive off the lot with metal to metal brakes and a bad tire with a bubble in it. and I went up north down and notice I had no brakes coming down sunset point anybody that lives here knows that highway bad news. that's not right! my life was at steak and my brother who was with me. The last time I had my vehicle serviced with Yates, the service advisor told me the technician said both my tie rods were broken and needed to be replaced so last week I brought my vehicle in to get the recommend repairs done. About an hour after dropping off my Yukon, I received a call from the advisor saying the tie rods were actually fine, but there was some play in the CV boots. He said it's something that would have to be done, but for now it could wait until the next service. The advisor the proceeded to tell me that GMC recommends doing a transmission flush every 30k miles after 100k and I was right at that point so since they had the car there anyways I told him to go ahead and do that. Please keep in mind, I understand I have a 2007 GMC Yukon and yes it has 130k miles, but I've babied this car its entire life. I bought it from Yates and I've had EVERY single service done there. This car was running like new when I brought it in with no problems what so ever. With that being said. After picking up my Yukon, the next day I noticed that it didn't quite seem to be shifting like it should be. I put it off for a couple of days to make sure it wasn't in my mind because it was intermittent. One the 3rd day I called and made an appointment to bring it back to see what the deal was. After bringing it back, I received a call from Jay who is the service advisor. He told me that there was definitely something wrong and that they were still doing testing on the vehicle. I told him I had to be to work by 5 and he told me that they would put me in a loaner till my car was done. After calling ahead of time to stress the urgency of my having to leave once I got there I arrived at 4:30 to where I was greeted by Ed Trueblood who is the Service Director. He proceeded to tell me that a flush wouldn't cause any damage to the transmission like that and they weren't responsible. After going back and forth with him on this I told him that I'm not sure how they do the flush, but he couldn't tell me 100% that the damage wasn't caused by Yates regardless of what service was done. I explained to him the vehicle was fine before I brought it in and now I'm having issues. It's not to difficult to come to the conclusion that I did. Whether it was the flush or some act performed by the technician to damage the vehicle while in the care of the dealership, something was done incorrectly. On top of that, Mr. Trueblood told me that they don't recommend doing anything to the transmission after 100K miles because things like this could happen and I looked at him and tried explaining that the only reason I had it done in the first place was because his service advisor said it was "Highly Recommended"! He again told me that there was nothing they were going to be able to do for me and at that point I told him this wasn't over and I had to get to my meeting. So they pulled my car around, I got it, and I'm not sure where they went, but I was about to run out of gas. So not only did I go through all of this with no positive outcome, I was late and I was out of gas leaving the dealership. read more

This is just not different to other places, sales people under pressure to make a sale by Yates Son who is always barking at the sales people, Service department managed by a guy named Edy who has more excuses that ethics to work for GM. I bought a brand new truck here with more problems that can't be fixed by Edy because he has a reason why things can't be done, and every problem has more excuses for Edy to continue develop his poor service here. I'm very unhappy with my purchase of a GMC truck from Yates GMC. After owning the truck a few months the entire electrical system on the truck shuts down while driving. The includes the steering locking up wile the tuck is moving. The truck is currently under warranty and with Yates GMC Service for a second time to try to fix this dangerous issue. I've lost all confidence in GMC and Yates. Please do the research and pick a different dealership. On a side not don't count on Ashley in the service department being any help or picking her phone up for that matter. read more

I took my car in and was assigned Ashley as my service advisor. My appointment was on a Wednesday at 3 pm. to diagnose an issue with my theft deterrent system. Understandably, I was told that it we be some time the next day that I would hear from them. Well...the next day I called Ashley at 12pm...no answer left a message, I called her again at 3 pm, left a message...called her again at 5pm...she finally answered and said my car still hasn't been looked at. So Friday morning at 10am I called...no answer. I called again at 12 pm, no answer. I finally got a ride and walked in...Ashley was off Friday...no one else knew anything about what was going on with my car. Two other service advisors Titus & Phil were able to assist and track down my car. Turns out my car was ready Friday morning...the customer service I received was HORRIBLE...I even called and emailed the Service Manager Michael Olague...I have yet to receive a response to the email or any of my calls. Be forewarned...take your car elsewhere!!! Customer Service matters...Ashley & Yates have none!! read more
