I stopped by to look at a new car since my lease ends soon. I walked around their lot/patio for about 10+ minutes. Not one person ever greeted me. I drive a nice car and dress well so it wasn't like I was in shorts and flip-flops driving a 67 Beetle. So then I go online to look at a 2018 Terrain lease. Yates shows it on the home page, but when you click on "disclosure" the disclosure disappears and you are taken elsewhere, never to get the details. Just had an incredible experience with the service department. I had originally talked to Ed on the phone, and he was friendly and attentive. He told me to bring my Saturn down to perform a recall fix on it. I couldn't make it until after hours, but no worries... A sales guy helped me with the key drop. Not only did they fix that recall, but they went ahead and fixed two other recalls on my car! I was handed a bill for $0. Well, it's been over 2 weeks now and each time we call, we're told just another day or 2. Not happy about paying for repairs a 2nd time due to poor design by GM. Your service advisor Shane admitted the blower motor was responsible for the rear evaporator leaking, yet no free replacement? He felt GM did me a favor knocking the repair cost in half. Are you kidding me?!? 2nd time in 2 1/2 years it's been repaired and yet the consumer should be grateful. Bought a certified used car from them. Not too long after we bought the car we started having engine issues and would lose all power while driving. Took the car in and had it checked out, they said they could not get the car to do it and so they sent us home. A day later the car again lost power only this time it was on I-10 in heavy traffic and we almost got into an accident. Took the car right in and had it checked out again. They didn't even want to look at the car again but we finally were able to get them to look at it. They said there was an exhaust leak but that it was no big deal and they didn't want to fix it even though the vehicle is certified. Sent us home again with no fixes. A few days later we were having issues with the car again and so back to the dealer we went and they went ahead and fixed the exhaust leak and sent us on our way. Vehicle continued to have problems so we dropped it off and they said they needed it for 3 days and so we left it. They replaced a sensor and we picked up the car after 4 days. Now we are having issues again and took the car in to get checked out. We were told that the breaks were still good but they wanted to charge us $300+ to replace the breaks and resurface the roters but that might not fix the issue since the break pads still have plenty of life left in them. They sent us home and told us to come back and talk to a manager 3 days. Left the car overnight and got a call this morning and was finally able to call back this afternoon and the guy was very rude and unprofessional and they won't fix my vehicle. Overall horrible and not professional don't buy any cars from them and definitely don't buy a certified car because they don't back it up and won't fix it. read more

Was visiting from San Diego and happen to stop by their dealership. Absolutely no pressure and we had a very enjoyable test drive, they even told us to take as long as we like(that was a pleasant surprise). Once we returned Matt VanHorn our salesman was very nice and walked us through the price and what deal they could give us. After showing us every other car within 500 miles that was priced higher we got the car for 2500 less that anywhere else. They got all the paperwork done quickly and asked them to detail it before we picked it up the next day. If any thing I have to say they was just ok, I am a stickler for detail and they car was just cleaned not detailed but I still got a good deal so that just means I will clean it to my standard. If I could rate this place a zero star i would.. the people there have no information about the vehicle and then when there is a issue you have to fight to get it fixed even though you spend 5k on a warranty. Then you leave a review on Google and "the owner" says he would like to discuss the issue leaves no phone number and then you left with calling the same people you had a issue with from the beginning. Bought 2 cars cash over 70k and nothing but issues after they got there money. They told us they would buff the scratches out of one of our cars that were in it when we bought it waited over 2 weeks got the car with the same road debri that was on the car when it went into service. I have to spend 400$ the have a outside company buff it and the as well told me the car was not buffed.. that is only some of the issues.. do not buy from this place. I have used LIBERTY BUICK for my past services. when I moved to work in Goodyear I tried Yates. If you buy a used car from Yates make sure to do your homework first. I was interested in a car on their lot and ran the VIN number to determine what the car actually was only to find that they misrepresented the car in several ways. For instance, they claimed it had a number of options that it did not actually have and that it was a higher end model than it actually was. They then offered me a Kelly's Blue Book analysis to claim that they were giving me a good deal based on a car with those extra options. When I confronted them with the fact that they were not presenting the car they actually had for sale, they dismissed my concerns saying that while I was correct they didn't have control over how the car was represented on their website or on the window sticker they had placed on the car. Curiously they did get some precise details right about the car, but the options that "accidentally" were added to the car's sheet were all options that might be difficult to notice if you were just doing a quick test drive of the vehicle. Several days after pointing out their mistakes, they were still offering the car online with all of the same misrepresentations. It's a shame. I really wanted that car and would have bought it, but I can't justify rewarding a company that seems to use such shady practices. Also do be careful about the $1000 "dealer provided accessories" that they try to sell you in person that they don't mention online. read more

BUYER BEWARE THEY SELL LEMONS HERE- If I could give it a negative star I would. My 82 year old father bought a new 2018 GMC Terrain on 10/13/2017. From day 1 we have had problems with the check engine light coming on. At one point the car was in the shop for a total of 37 days. Everytime we get the car back after they supposedly fix the problem, the check engine light comes back on. We have had the car for not even 4 months and it has been in the shop for a total of 62 days. We dont want this lemon of a car we want a new one. My dad has saved a while for this car and right now is very frustrated with the treatment from the general manager who is basically telling him, GM will not do anything and that my Dad will have to do a buyback or trade in and that he will not get the same amount of money that he paid for the car. I cannot understand how my elderly father will lose out on this deal when it is not his fault that the check engine light keeps coming on. This car is not reliable.The treatment that my father has received is horrendous from Yates and especially from the general manager. He has no people skills and should be retrained on how customer service works. My dad after all was a repeat customer. read more

LETTER SENT TO OWNER.....DIDN'T CARE NO RESPONSE Mr. Yates on Saturday December 12, 2015 I called your dealership looking for a truck for my Daughter, I spoke with an individual by the name of Brent Nogowski your General Sales Manager. I explained to Nogowski that I was helping my Daughter look for a truck. Mr. Yates I'm 65 years old I have bought many cars over that 65 years and I explained to Nogowski that the one thing most people really disliked about purchasing new vehicles was getting the dealership scrabble, being told to wait while the saleman discussed the best possible price with his sales manager...doing this so many times with the hope that the customer will finally say yes just out of desperation. In the past I have avoided this by calling the dealership being honest with the sales person and explaining that one I would not go into the dealership and negotiate that way, I was going to call the GMC dealers in the area get their best "out the door" price and whatever vehicle provided the best price and options I would arrange to have everything ready, I would review the contract, sign and write a check. In this situation I did exactly that explained all this to Nogowski , he gave me a price of just under 32,000 dollars for a 2015 double cab Chevy Sierra with a standard bed, 5.3 V8. The price was very good which made me doubt what he was telling me. He explained that he was the sales manager for the dealership and that he personally signed every deal that was made through the dealership, also that he was a man of his word and what he quoted me would be honored to come in and just give him 10 minutes to show me all the options being offered by GMC including 0% interest for 60 months. He sounded very convincing I called my Daughter who lives in the north county, we got to your dealership asked for Nogowski he was unavailable, which he had told me he would be waiting for us. He sent a gentleman by the name of Casey or Stacy to show us the vehicle , after going in circles for 20 minutes and not finding it, he went back into the dealership to "ask Nogowski " what truck he was talking about. He came back out a few minutes later walking around pressing a truck remote until a particular truck lit the lights, he showed us the truck and told us this was the truck. We test drove it told the salesman it was a good truck and we were fine with the deal. We went in Nogowaski came out with some paperwork. Right away I noticed a difference the second he started talking without asking right away he tells me there is no 0% on that vehicle only on vehicles with leather and all the options?? Mr. Yates I'm 65 not 16 only on trucks with leather and high end options not even model specific... Then he went on to say the truck had this and that and all total the options were3 or 4 thousand higher so the truck price was now not 32 but 36 plus..... I reminded him of our conversation and his words "that he was the sales manager for the dealership and that he personally signed every deal that was made through the dealership, also that he was a man of his word and what he quoted me would be honored to come in and just give him 10 minutes"..... all lies he kept telling us the price increase was all because "WE" picked a different more expensive truck.....WE NEVER PICKED ANYTHING the salesman after not finding the truck went in and saw him and came back with the remote. By that time after he denied any of our conversation I was very upset along with my family and friends that went with us, everyone inside your dealership heard the yelling and the conversation and that Nogowaski kept repeating the same thing YOU picked a more expensive truck..... I told Nogowaski it was a shame that a man in his position has no honor or word. All this would not have happened had Nogowski simple gave me an honest price if not to my Daughter liking we would have just thanked him for his time but he did not he lied to get us to come in to give us his non sense pitch. This is just to let you know who and how he is managing your business affairs, people are not stupid or incompetent if they are able to walk into your dealership to buy a vehicle and they are not 16 years old with no experience then people are going to know what they are doing and they expect to be treated with respect not some Kirby vacuum cleaner sales pitch.
