Yeomiji is different than anything I've ever tried. I got the chicken bibimbap and was thoroughly pleased. The service was attentive and quickly brought out about 6 "appetizers" which consisted of kimchi, veggies, and noodles (free of charge). Our main meal came out quickly and was piping hot- so hot I couldn't eat it for a while (which was the only drawback of the night). I ate the whole thing and scraped the pan that's how good it was. I cannot get enough of this place! We had the beef and spicy pork bibimbaps and loved them again! We also had the short rib entree and that was a hit, too. Because of Covid we chose to ear outside. There were several tables with umbrellas, very comfortable. Since the street is closed to traffic, it's pleasant to sit there and watch the people walking by. The service was excellent. We went for the beef Bibimbop, which comes in a stone dish so it's piping hot, and stays hot while you're eating. My husband & I and our friend all ordered it ; our friend hadn't eaten it before, but he loved it as we did also. His wife ordered a stir fry dish with seafood which she enjoyed as well. I can't comment on the inside because I didn't go in. This restaurant is located adjacent to the large tent that was put up for Covid and serves all the eateries in the area. This was some of the best Korean BBQ I have eaten. Yeomiji rivals the restaurants in Manhattans K-Town. The portions were large, tasty and fresh. I really enjoyed the Kimchi as a side. A great Korean semi-casual dining place! I've come here a couple of times with friends and we're big fans of their hot stone bibimbap bowls. The menu is on the whiter side of Korean food, but it still tastes good. My personal favorites are the spicy kimbaps (also on the whiter side of spicy) and bulgogi burgers. read more

The barbeque ( bulgoki) was tastey and the portion was plentiful. However, the multiple mini side dishes that came with theBBQ was nothing memorable. I usually enjoy those little side dishes at Korean BBQ restaurants but most of the side dishes here tasted like it was doused in the same kind of oil-base that had a curious taste. Not what I was expecting based on what I get at other Korean restaurants. That's OK, as some people may like that particular oily sauce flavoring. Too bad they used the same oil (or oily sauce) on all the vegetable side dishes so that they all tasted the same (unfortunately for me, I didn't like the taste of that particular oil/sauce/whatever that condiment was). Only 1 side dish tasted distinctly different; kimchi. We didn't receive any white rice with our bulgoki BBQ, so we asked if a bowl of white rice came with it, or if we can order some. The man that was cooking our bulgoki meat for us mumbled that the rice comes with our order (but didn't explain why we didn't get any), then said something to the waitress near by in Korean; 2 bowls of rice were brought out shortly after that. Rather unenthusiastically, nor with any apologies for forgetting to bring them. I've never not received rice when ordering Bulgoki before at other places. All was OK up to that point. The simple basic white rice was probably the worst rice I've ever been served in history of my Asian restaurant dining experience. We do dine out a lot, and we definitely go to Asian restaurants majority of the time. I myself being part Asian, I grew up with Asian food so I do know how white rice should look and taste. We can tell just by looking at the rice that it was bad. The rice was not fresh because it had a crusty top layer where the rice got hard and dried out from sitting around uncovered for a long time (it seemed that bowl of rice was old enough to have been sitting around for more than a day uncovered). Underneath the crusty dried layer, the rice was old, discolored, smelly and bad tasting. I wondered if this was a bowl of rice that a previous customer didn't eat, and was not being passed onto me! That's how old/stale and gross that rice was. Tasted absolutely bad, and everyone at the table agreed after they looked or dared to taste a small bite. Not only were we surprised that an Asian restaurant was serving white rice of that quality, but were surprised that nobody there bothered to check the quality of the food being served when the place was practically empty of customers. There were 2 other tables, a total of 3 other diners when we were eating there at around 4:30 pm on a Sunday. White rice is such a basic staple in an Asian cuisine. If they can't get that right, we're not interested in coming back because my automatic rice cooker at home does a beautiful job at a press of one single button. I Can't get it wrong even if I tried! Service, nothing special to write about, but no complaints either. We got seated quickly (as it there was only one table with 2 people dining), and our food came out within 30 minutes. The waiter was polite, but never checked back with us after he took our initial orders. The man who came to cook our meat didn't speak to us at all, but rather looked like he didn't want to be there . He seemed tired and /or in not a good mood. It made us feel awkward while he was at our table pushing our meat around the BBQ grill because he looked so unhappy to doing what he was doing. It's a shame, because it could have been a totally different experience if not for the above. I'm giving it 3 stars because the Bulgoki was good, and the bibimbap was OK. We also had Bulgoki tacos, which were also good, but again that's attributed to their bulgoki being so tasty. Three tacos served with a bed lettuce with bulgoki meat on top of the greens, with two sauces (hot and mild) served on the side. and mild red sauces. . The glass bottle/jug of water that was already on the table when we were seated had a smear of greasy fingers marks. None of us drank that because we were worried about the water after seeing the dirty bottle. I'm sure the water inside the jug was fine, but absolutely none of us (party of 4) could bring ourselves to pour and drink from that dirty jug. Shame. If they can pay attention to details, they may have more new repeat customers. read more

Very nice Korean place in the heart of Scarsdale. Very pleasant service staff. The restaurant had a modern flair with a long bar on one side, some Asian pieces on a shelf in the middle and then tables on the other side. Several TVs in the back. Very clean. Some tables featured large gas grills . Drink prices seemed pretty high so stick to green tea with cake both hot and cold. Korean appetizers included some orange potato salad dish, broccoli, bean sprouts and some spice options which all tasted good. Dinner featured short rib pieces with rice and a spice pork bimipab both on very hot plates and the latter with tons of fresh veggies like cucumbers, carrots and spinach. All very fresh and tasty. The veggie dumplings were a tad bland but the meal was very reasonable and very tasty. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

This is the absolute worst Korean food in westchester. Do not bother wasting your money here. The quality of the meat is not what you pay for. It is all fat and seems like it was frozen and low grade. They served us cold rice and when we told them it was cold they accused us of lying. We asked for spoons because for some reason they didn't give us any and they practically threw them at us. The side dishes seemed old and about to rot. Surely this restaurant is the best place where you can get Korean foods in Westchester hands down! We normally get the soups like Galbitang, Kimchi stew, Soft-tufu soup and so on. The tastes are always on point. Their fusion entrees such as Korean tacos are very delicious as well. Their banchans are always fresh with good tastes. We have also tried their table BBQ here, and you will never regret. The prices are pretty reasonable, especially compared to the quality of the food and atmosphere of their hall that you can enjoy while eating. Average range that you will pray is between $12-$18 per entree. The service was very impressive, too. We often time saw owner herself greeting us very warmly, and accommodating to our needs including side dishes or grilling the BBQ. They have many meter parking spots available right in front of the restaurant. Area here is so nice that you would want to walk for hours to enjoy the vibe that you can't get from anywhere else. This review is with regards to take out. The food is good though somewhat expensive. However if there is a problem with your order and you used a credit card just go to your card company and dispute the charge. This is the second time. I picked up an order three items one was vegetarian dumplings. When I got home the dumplings were beef. So begins the saga. I called to informed that this was wrong. They said they would credit me back for wrong order ok. As I checked my account sure enough no credit. So I called and started a 20 minute conversation part of the problem is language fluency and now Kevin texts me a copy of the new charge less the wrong item but not the void for the incorrect amount. I came here on a recommendation from a friend since I was in the area and far away from where I usually dine. Located near what I assume is the downtown area (?) near the train station the restaurant is cozy, not being too overly crowded. It was cold out and I was hungry so I started off with the crispy wings and ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes) and was not disappointed. The wings were indeed crispy and hot and the rice cakes had the right amount of spice and chewiness. However, the stand out dish for me besides the pork belly bbq (which had a very cute presentation) was the tweji bokkeum (kimchi and pork) tacos. Korean fusion isn't usually my thing, but based on the host's recommendation (who I later found out was actually the owner) I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The corn tortillas were legit and the pork was super tender, not dry or overly marinated. If I make my way back upstate I'm definitely going to try the bulgogi tacos next. read more
