Our waitress came over and to be honest, she seemed to have a little attitude..no smiling..very short...just not happy..she should probably do something else for a living. now for the positives.. food was good..another women who seemed to be the owner/manager actually did the cooking for us...thank god..she was very nice! We had steamed siumai, marinated chicken and short ribs..it comes with lettuce wraps and some very small dishes of toppings to create the wrap and also a nice sauce on the side to dip it in. My favorite was the hot ginger tea...it was delicious..it had fresh ginger on the bottom and a nice sweetness to it...loved it!! We also thought the place was clean and nice. It's a great find! I've been to this area but never noticed this such a great Korean restaurant exist!! I had a late lunch here, didn't have to wait because many already left after their meals. Service was excellent, fast, and very friendly. Side dish presentation was as nice as the atmosphere of the hall. We ordered japchae and marinated galbi, those were very tasty and flavorful. I stumble upon Yeomiji and decided to give it a try, and my experience with this restaurant was AMAZING. The staff was friendly, and the food came out pretty quick. I would definitely recommend the Galbi Tang (Beef Short Rib Soup) and their Pork Belly (For Korean BBQ). The soup is large enough to share among two people if you order other appetizers or entrees, try dipping the rice inside the soup it's DELICIOUS. As for the Pork Belly, it comes with this amazing dipping sauce and the green onion salad!! read more

I loved how none of the food was too salty, but there was a very balanced flavor. Especially the kimchi, it was very fresh. I don't like overly fermented kimchi, so usually I avoid the kimchi at most Korean restaurants because it's usually too fermented. I've never been to this part of Yonkers before and was surprised how cozy and cute the area was. The restaurant is right next to the train station also! I've been craving Korean food but just didn't have a chance to eat it, so while traveling from upstate back down to NYC, we decided to stop by at this Korean restaurant midway and we were glad we did. It's the first time we ate pajun (vegetable pajun) served on a sizzling plate. My two kids kept saying, yummy!! There were three other families with kids at the restaurant while we were eating, so we didn't feel out of place at all. Decor is nice for a date as well. I personally liked the tofu kimchi stew because it tasted very authentic and flavorful. If we do ever drive through this area again, we'd definitely swing by again! read more

Yeomiji was hands down the best food and atmosphere I experienced on a recent business trip in NY and other areas. All in all, this was a fantastic traditional Korean meal and dining experience. Amazing attentive staff on the two occasions I dined there-once night for diner and once for lunch. Busy dining room each time, but so so attentive, made me feel like they did actually care about my experience. MUST try the Table Grill Bulgogi! With the Hot Stone Beef Bowl. It was sublime. First, I would like to say that their place is very clean and the place is overall really nice. However, they do not care about their customers. 1. We waited 20 minutes until someone came and got our orders. 2. They never took away our dirty plates to make room for new dishes. 3. They barely refilled our waters. The place wasn't even busy so I don't understand why they neglected to do so. 4. I ordered kalbi soup, but the soup had no beef in it. I asked the owner about it and she pointed to a morsel of beef in the soup and said, "There it is." I was at a lost for words. She explained that the soup was made from beef. Okay, I can understand that, but the way she said it was so condescending I lost my appetite. She also said, " You don't know what kalbi soup looks like." Excuse me? She begrudgingly offered to let me choose another item on the menu but no refund (with side eyes). At that point I just wanted to leave. If I ordered another item it would have taken them another hour because that's how long it takes them to prepare one dish. In the end, I didn't touch the soup or leave any tip. read more

I was very surprised to find an excellent restaurant in Westchester area. The servers made my dining experience here at Yeomiji very comfortable, and food was delicious, especially the LA galbi. Overall I definitely recommend Yeomiji. Especially, the BBQ grill. If you are a meat type of person, definitely recommend the BBQ set platter. Four different varieties of meat got cooked on the grill. I like the fact that you can try a little bit of everything. They also serve a couple of side dishes as well as lettuce wraps. We were looking for a good Korean BBQ place in Westchester, as we didn't have time to go K-town in Manhattan. Their lunch menu had some good selections and the food was delicious. Came for lunch on a Friday, absolutely shocked that we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Was tempted to get the tacos but the two of us each decided to get hot stone bibimbap and split a kimchi pancake. Between those items, plus the free banchan, plus the miso soup, it was SOOOOO much food. It was so delicious we ate up everything but a quarter of the pancake, which we packed up to bring home. Love the pickled chayote banchan (I think? or was it granny smith apple?). The squash salad is yummy too. This is my new fave hot stone bibimbap--I like that it's on a flat griddle as opposed to a large bowl; the proportions of meat/veg to rice just work better for me. (Spouse disagrees, he LOVES a huge gut bomb with tons and tons of rice.) . The kimchi pancake is delicious and v. crispy on the outside, but a touch on the overly salty side. (I like salt tho, so that's not a complete deal-breaker.) Really disappointed that the shaved milk ice dessert wasn't available--an acquired taste, but if you like it, you REALLY like it and are psyched when you think you might be able to have it, because it's not widely available. As I had the chance to eat korean food / korean bbq in Korea so many times I know what im talking about and i know what i was expecting when i came to this restaurant. The only thing i can say about it is OK. Food is ok but you can tell meet is not the prime cut. Fried rice was all about raw onions mixed with rice and some carrots. Fried dumplings were soaked in oil. The waitress was not cordial. The restaurant is small and there is not fancy about it. Empty friday night. Easy to park the car. read more

FINALLY, a real option for Korean barbecue in Westchester! Miles and miles ahead of Korea Garden in Yonkers on virtually every level. Everything is scratch-made, and it shows. The BBQ Set Platter is a bargain if you're feeding two or three people. I do wish they'd offer a seafood option like saewoo gui, but I realize it's a bit of a cheat-out for Westerners. The dolsot bibimbap was delicious and huge. Banchan wasn't overwhelming in terms of options, but all tasty nonetheless. Service is friendly, but a bit spotty. Prices are in line with the other options around, but a better bargain due to quality and authenticity. About the best you can do on a gas grill. We'll be back again and again! read more

Have eaten here many times including when it was Namu. I'm not sure why we kept going back but after my experience tonight I'm done with this place. Our server was so sweet and was working really hard. Our salmon came to the table totally raw on the inside. It was disgusting. Not sure if it was the manager or owner who came to the table but she didn't even apologize or act like she cared at all. She took the salmon back to the kitchen and brought the same piece back to the table. My son said it tasted like it had been in the microwave and he never complains. Aside from the bad food the whole thing really could have been handled better I would expect some concern at the very least and a good restaurant owner would do what's right and either not charge for the bad meal or offer something like dessert. Not looking for anything free but there was a complete lack of caring here. There are way too many other decent places to eat in the area. I would avoid this unless you're desperate. This owner is so lame. So greedy! Food was salty and the rice wasn't well cooked. Also it doesn't taste that authentic(I'm Korean). The foods taste better at Hmart food court. I had terrible experience with this place. Ruined our day. I really regret going there. So we went there on Sunday. The lady owner came to us to get the orders. I wanted to get lunch box on lunch special which is available for lunch time daily(It marked on the menu "daily"). But she said we can't order lunch menu on Sunday. So I had to order something else. But then I noticed somebody was eating lunch box at the next table!!!! What the...!!! We asked to our waitress(I don't understand why the lady owner came to us JUST getting for orders). She said we can order it surely. Then she asked to the owner and came back to us saying we can order them but we have to pay $2 more(I'm pretty sure the owner just made that up on the spot). And she let another next table know about it because they ordered the lunch menu. Then the family rolled their eyes and left. When I saw them leaving I wanted to leave the terrible place too. But my husband choose this place for his father's day. So I didn't say anything. We should've left. We ordered bulgogi taco, galbitang and yukgyejang. Nothing was impressive nor delicious. I ordered the pork bulgogi along with my friend. He and I both agreed that the portion was sized for a 10 year old. Flavorless meat unless you count charred as a flavor. They even managed to char the rice. We also had to ask for the kimchi and the other sides. For $24 a dish, I will not recommend. read more
