It was quite busy when my friend and I came in, the cashier just handle cash from a group before us and right away asked us to give our cups if we want toppings without using hand sanitizer nor changing her gloves. I hesitated but my friend gave his cup right away. It is not safe to touch money then right away touch someone's food. This is the best Yogurtland in a 10 mile radius. It is CLEAN. The yogurt tastes fresh and even though you don't put your own toppings, the staff will put as much as you want. I went in to ask for a spoon, since I wanted to eat with my girlfriend at Woodbridge Town Center. They said no to me asking to a plastic spoon which probably costs 50 cents most. I don't know if this is just staff that doesn't care about customer service, or if management is so stingy that it has a no-spoon policy. Likes to take me all the time And the amazing flavors they have there and the great yummy treats they leave us I recommend anybody that's really with this that they should buy yogurt and get some yogurt because it's the best yogurt I've ever tasted. So... I used to go out of my way to come to this Yogurtland Because if you want lots of flavors they really do a good job of stocking them. Lately though, they have instituted a new policy of not allowing samples. I don't understand what the concept of a self-serve yogurt place is without being able to taste the new flavors. The whole point of Yogurtland is their pride in new flavors and trying old ones again. Because of this policy, I feel like they are accusing their regular customers of doing something illicit wrong when tasting.... It feels really weird. They also recently had a sign up in the window accusing kids in the area of taking samples. Ultimately, this location has mostly lost my business unless I happen to be in the area. Tried to visit this location on Sunday May 3, which WAS open for business based on the new regulations and precautions of doing business now with the COVID crisis. Patrons are asked to wear a mask to enter (as posted on the doors and windows of the business state). I entered (wearing a mask) with my 2 year old son (who was not wearing a mask, and will not keep one on). I was asked by the teenage worker if my child could "pull his shirt up over his mouth" while inside and I said, no. I informed her that it is not required of children ages 2 and younger to wear a face mask in public establishments per City of Irvine regulations and rules on mask wearing. She said "that's fine, but I still can't serve you!" I asked to speak to a manager and she said none was on premises. I again, politely asked her to call her manager and she refused. She said a total of 5 times "I cannot serve you without a mask". I WAS wearing a mask and it was my 2 year old son who was not, because AGAIN, the city of Irvine has mentioned (to me personally when I called them) that children under 2 are allowed to be in an establishment without a mask due to the nature of their age and the inability to keep one on. Shame on this business location for not being updated and educated on your city's rules on the current situation for the sake of your customers!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER do business here again. I haven't been to an Yogurtland in a long time. Things have changed since the pandemic. As soon as you walk in, they want you to use the hand sanitizer and grab a plastic glove. You wait in line while you're social distancing. The staff then brings you a cup. They still have the self serving froyo station but no sampling. I think they had limited flavors. You give the cup to the staff and tell them which toppings you want. At the end of the line they have the salted caramel, chocolate, or melted marshmallow syrup. Just tell the staff if you would like some syrup. Get your froyo on the scale, they give you a spoon and you pay for it. No indoor seating. Woodbridge plaza has plenty of places where you can sit and enjoy your froyo. Definitely a nice dessert after my best friend and I walked around the Woodbridge lake. read more

Always see them wiping the counter after the customers like us spill the condiments while try to scoop some of the stuff . Sweeping floors etc . The young lady who was working behind the counter did not acknowledge us as we came in and only came from the back area because we were standing in front of the topping section. She seemed very annoyed when we wanted more than one topping by asking, "AND anything else AND anything else?" so my daughter and I just stopped at 2. She didn't say thank you when I tipped her for her less than stellar customer service but figured she still rang us up, so I should show some appreciation? Again this young generation and their entitlement privileges. Don't waste your money. My daughter wanted a small bowl like she used to get. When she asked for some toppings the gal scooped 3 scoops and my daughter asked for a little and said "that's enough", but they just kept scooping. The next topping, she said "a little!", the rude lady did not listen and still did an additional scoop. Her bowl was overflowing, and more than she wanted charging her MORE THAN twice as much as a bowl she usually gets. It was the same for all our friends that went with us, the worker did not listen. Then the worker was short tempered when my daughter wanted to pay with apple pay. We WILL NOT be returning for a $9 bowl of yogurt with rude service. Horrible location. Any time we came in the store their faces are always have spleenful faces and you wouldn't feel welcomed in there. But I never left review about that just because my daughter loves frozen yogurt until today. On May 21 we came into the store as usual and got the yogurt planning to pay with my Apple Pay as we always done in this particular store. When it came to payment the girl said they can't accept Apple Pay because of something with their system and I asked what should we do since I didn't have anything on me except my iPhone. I was suggested to stop by and pay later, which was fine with me as we live 5 minutes away from the place, but than the manager who introduced as Kiyana jumped in and said "We can't give yogurts for free. Come back when you can pay". I started asking her if we can do something as was suggested that I can come by and pay later, if I can pay PayPal, Zelle, Venmo. Anything! She just said NO. Well, we walked away and than I looked up that Yogurtland actually has the app, which you can use to pay in store by adding your payment method to the app. I returned to the store to the same "manager" and asked her why is she so not customer oriented here that she never mentioned that I could actually pay with the app. To that she just replied "ok. That's it? Bye" I NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A RUDE SERVICE IN MY WNTIRE LIFE!!! I have no idea how these guys are still in business, but they also ruin the overall Yogurtland brand and Corporate should do something about this location. Today, as we were paying I felt like it was more expensive than usual. That was because the black scanning machine was sitting on the corner of the scale adding 3.6 ounces to our total. I pointed it out to the girl and she looked at me with a "well what the hell do you want me to do about it" look. Keep the few bucks. I won't be coming back to this location if I can help it. I have not had the best experience at Yogurtland in the past, but the new worker Anne has changed my view. She is so welcoming and always greets me when I come in. The service is good and I do not mind that there are no sample cups/you cannot pour your own toppings. However, I would like to see more dairy free flavors since they only have had one for the longest time and its not that good. While it was nice to finally get some much needed fro-yo, a few things about the visit were not nice. The first is while I understand that because of Covid you want an employee to do the toppings, but given that we pay by weight, please don't go light on the toppings. The other is, while I know it was busy, but the individual that was serving the toppings had their mask around their chin instead of covering their nose and mouth. Chocolate hot shell machine, pushed down and chocolate went everywhere, on Me, my MK purse, pants, blouse, shoes, they gave me a wet paper l wipe to wipe it off, and it was hot and burned my arm. Good thing a child was not next to me. Everything is stained and hard to remove. New shoes ruined, purse ruined, blouse a mess they went into the side room and sat there and chit chatted, I waited for some help, then another guy came out and I asked for something a little more wet so I can wipe this off, I said that i have a barbecue to go to and they're like I can re wet this one for you. I waited, then when he didnt come back, I walked out, I take my grandkids in there all the time will never be back , Golden Spoon is right down the way and the yogurt is much better. This store just opened and it was the perfect location for some yogurt. The surrounding areas have a jungle gym, places to just sit hangout, do work and also very scenic! The store itself is super clean. This place has the potential to be better. The yogurt flavor and topping selection is great. They even sometimes have my favorite flavor, taro, which I've only ever seen at the Jeffrey location. Plus they have cherries, which not every location has. The staff, however, is sub-par. I've been here several times and the staff ALWAYS looks unhappy. They almost look upset to be working there. I understand that working at a frozen yogurt shop may not be the highlight of your career, but the fact remains that there are MANY other Yogurtland locations nearby and the staff at the rest of them are very friendly and welcoming.
