We were pleasantly surprised by how great Yoshi Sushi was. We usually have lower expectations for AYCE restaurants but all the food we had was delicious. The service was fast and accommodating. AYCE is $20 Mon-Fri from 11-3, otherwise it's $28. There are some items that aren't included in the AYCE and are noted on the menu. They have purple rice available by request, which they say is a crossbreed rice considered to be a superfood due to its higher nutrient content and digestibility. I liked the texture and preferred it over white rice. Their rolls were a little heavy on the rice. We tried a few teriyaki dishes and were able to ask for just the protein without the side of rice. My favorites were the scallion pancake (comes with curry sauce), chicken/beef teriyaki (very tender), dinosaur roll, sesame balls, and the red bean ice cream.

Went to yoshi sushi with my bf on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy. We did the all you can eat option which was around 27.99 each. The sushi was okay - not bad but also nothing to brag home about. We also ordered the pork gyoza which was very good The spring rolls were doughy and not a great crunchy consistency so that was disappointing. Pad Thai was ok My bf got the yellow fin jalapeño was the best in his opinion. He loved it. Service was fast and our waiter was very kind.

Always a great choice, all you can eat and great sized portions. Great service and plenty of seating! If you enjoy sushi, definitely give them a try.

Move over Sushi King, there's a new all-you-can-eat sushi in town! haha. I met up with one of my friends here one afternoon when they first opened up. Plenty of space and were served pretty quickly. The sushi that I've picked turned out amazing! I sadly had to leave behind the rice because it def gets you filled up! Interior is beautiful and we were taken care of. I def recommend and will be coming back for all you can eat!

Came here for the all you can eat($26pp). I got the RockNRoll, Fire In The Hole, Jurassic, RVA, Red Dragon, and Mamba Out roll. Most of the Sushi was really good I personally liked fire in the hole and RVA. I didn't like red dragon or mamba out. Service was very average at best, and can be a lot slower depending how crowded it is. They have a lot of items to try and for the price, there is good value and variety of things to have. I would definitely come back again! Food(50%): 7.6 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 8.0 Overall: 7.3/10

Extremely impressed with this AYCE sushi restaurant. We had an amazing server, I wish I remembered his name. He was so attentive and friendly. We ordered appetizers and a round of sushi all which came out very quickly. The amount of fish on the rolls blew mind compared to other AYCE sushi restaurants. Especially the hand rolls. My partner has an avocado allergy and they accommodated two rolls without the avocado which we really appreciated. The tempura shrimp inside the Jurassic roll was really tasty! We were also very impressed with the quality of the fish used in all of the rolls. We will definitely be coming back when we're craving sushi!

Yoshi Sushi is an AYCE sushi and hibachi. Their lunch deal is $18.99 on weekdays and $25.99 for weekends or holidays. It's a very lovely interior with beautiful designs. It is very clean, and spacious. I was surprised there wasn't more customers. I made a reservation for lunch but that isn't necessary. It's an order a la carte for AYCE, so it's made fresh to order. I loved a lot of the appetizers, like the crab salad, seaweed salad, wonton with imitation crab meat, salmon. The edamame was a bit saltier, and the calamari was very crispy but ok. The sushi was good, I mainly order and eat on salmon, tuna and eel. It was very good! The hibachi is also so good!! They make their beef medium. It's very tasty and tender with a lot of garlic. The veggies are also made perfectly and so juicy. The beef fried rice has a good wok taste. You can just order the beef without anything else too!! The sushi was so good but overall, I give 4/5 stars for the slow service. We arrived around noon, and there weren't many customers during lunch yet it took the servers a very looong time to get us even just waters, or to bring us small plates, dipping sauce cups, extra chopsticks, etc. It also took a while before the food came out, but once it did, it was all at once. Yoshi Sushi is def my go to sushi place in RVA! I'll be back again!!!

100% recommendation... our server was so attentive and nice!! Those helping to seat and drop off items were also a pleasure. Found this place on yelp to find an all you can eat before going to Altria for a show. Food was good! Mushroom soup was way too peppery but our other items were great. We tried: shrimp tempura, calamari, gyoza, kani salad, chicken fried rice, chicken udon noodles, steak hibachi, shrimp tempura roll and dinosaur roll. I also got a lemon drop martini that was tasty and well made. Cute interior, sea life themed. Lots of fun wine bottle storage.

We stuck to water, but they have cocktails of all calibers here. The temperature inside was chilly, and I wished I'd brought a sweater or jacket. I'm sure others feel differently, though, I'm not a fan of the cold. I ordered sushi, including the wonder woman, sweet potato, and spicy tuna. They were all tasty, though spicy tuna as always remains my favorite. My partner ordered the orange chicken because she doesn't care for sushi, but it was pretty fantastic as well. I tried a sample of the chicken and the salad, and both were excellent. Our server was kind and provided excellent service. She never lingered, and continued working diligently all evening. The experience overall was majorly positive, and I would recommend to any who are looking for a solid Asian-fusion spot. I'd give five stars if the sushi was better. I found it to be satisfactory but nothing special, unfortunately.

Food came out at pretty good pace and app, entrees and food didn't all come out at the same time which was nice. You HAVE to get their Thai sausage appetizer - If they made this an entree, I would get it every single time. The sausage is perfectly balanced with lean and fat and packed full of Thai flavor and spices. For my entree I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and this portion is HUGE, was able to take some home and easily serve it as another meal. The fried rice was so tasty and fried chicken was perfectly fried and came with a nice sweet and sour sauce too. My wife loved the pad se ew and got to take home her food as well. The restaurant serves Chinese food but I think it is an American version of Chinese food. It was a busy evening on that Friday, 20 June 2025. FOOD -- I ordered the Guandong Fried Rice ($10.50) which comes with peas, carrots, and egg. I added shrimp ($5.50) as my protein. A glass of water was also brought out for me. My friend ordered the basil chicken ($18.50) with a Maine Root Beer drink ($4.50). She loved her order. I enjoyed the Guandong Fried Rice with added shrimp. It wasn't overly rich in flavour. Shared appetizer of the chili dumplings were also delightful. Lunch menu offers standardized specials, so the more conservative American palates will find many recognizable standards. The dinner menu is more expansive and features more authentic options. Our server today, Zoey, was both friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive without being overbearing. knew the menu well and was able to make recommendations. The manager, Bill, came by to check on us and we had a nice conversation where he explained that their head chef was originally trained in China and then came to New York before arriving here. The menu clearly reflects his influence. Of special note is their Chef's Special, a fixed price group menu featuring his selections of three appetizers and five main courses. This is similar to a Japanese sushi version of an omakase experience. We are looking forward to returning with some friends or family when they visit to take advantage of this! Definitely recommend this place to both Authentic Chinese food enthusiasts and non-adventurous diners alike as they have something for everyone. We will be back!

The appetizer was hot, savory, and spicy with the duck sauce and hot mustard mixture. If you like milder sauce, do not mix it. The entrees came out within five or so minutes of the appetizers, which seemed quick for a busy night. The ramen was spicy, hot, and filling. I was only able to finish about half. We will be enjoying those leftovers tonight. My partner said that her noodles and chicken were well-seasoned and delicious, too. Looking around the restaurant, it is clear that they support the local LGBTQ+ community, and it is even labeled as a Safe Space on the beautifully manicured, makeshift chalkboard/menu/posting board. The clientele and staff alike seemed warm and kind, based solely on limited interactions and observation on my part. If you are looking for a traditional American-Chinese food restaurant (think buffet-style items), this is likely not the place for you. There were no mishaps or snafus with our orders.
