Yoshinoya is one of my favorite go to lunch spots especially this location. I have gone to the other locations in Palmdale and Lancaster and the service and food haven't been up to par. The food here is constantly good and so is the service. My go to meal is the Original Beef and Habanero Spicy Chicken. I am always in and out within 10 minutes or less. I being going to this place at least once a week because I'm working around and they have the combo and XL combo with 2 proteins, they ask which ones you want and if you ask for beef they charge extra for it, so what's the point of putting 2 proteins if you can only get chicken, is the only place that does that and I complaint to the cashier lady and she told that everyday she gets complaints about it from other customers and all she can say is that is the managers decision, I don't blame her because she's only doing her job and is not her fault. This evening we ordered a large teriyaki beef bowl and a large teriyaki chicken bowl. The beef teriyaki was stringy and yet hard to chew and the vegetables were supposedly steamed but tasted raw to me. The chicken bowl had the addition of noodles added to it, and they tasted hard, kind of like chewing some silly putty. I called and spoke to the supposed Manager who said her name was Ashley Forrest , and she did not even attempt to apologize for the poor job her team was doing in the kitchen. I looked at the one that had the different types of bowls, and price. The regular bowls are $9.99, and I ordered a beef bowl. I ordered to go, figuring I'd start it here and take the rest. The order came up to 11.49 plus tax. When I asked about it the woman said 9.99 is for chicken...beef is 1.50 extra, and pointed to a completely different board, where it says that in FINE print. I can't say it's false advertising, because it does say that, but it's certainly designed to mislead. This is on Yoshinoya, not the location. If they wanted to be honest, they'd put that near the bowl prices where people would easily see it., not way over on the side. When I got the bowl, it was so shrinkflated I ate the whole thing there. Received coupons in the mail and decided to try this place out for the first time. Ordered the original combo plate and it was delicious! The portions were great and food was very fresh all received within 5-6 minutes. Definitely coming back here for a quick bite in the future. My cashier Samantha was very sweet and very patient when I was deciding on what to order, she gave me her inputs on what she liked there which ultimately helped me decide on my combo plate. As I was waiting for my order near the counter, I spoke to another worker named Mel and he also recommended other dishes to try in the future. She always remembers and greets me by name, which is nice because the only family in US I have is my 4kitties, so it's nice to be treated like family, always friendly & w/smiles. Went back last Friday night, spoke respectfully to a condescending female manager on duty (didn't see a name tag) about the situation, showed her my receipt and a picture of said food. She seemed annoyed that I had brought up the issue and unapologetic. In a big hurry, she remade the order while bad talking about me with the cook. I checked the order this time before I left and it "looked" correct. I get home only to find out that 80% of the "grilled steak" I had received were fatty pieces and even had one with a bone in it.
