We ordered the Katsu Curry Chicken (you can choose chicken or pork), Donburi Katsu Chicken, Karaage chicken, side fries and shishito peppers. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken katsu on both donburi and curry was so juicy. The karaage chicken was great- the fry on it was perfect. Shishito peppers were also delicious. Everything tasted great. The inside of the restaurant is small, but when we arrived there were only a few other families having dinner, leaving ample seating options. The melon cream soda brought back my fond childhood memories from when I lived in Japan. All of our food choices were flavorful. Their miso soup with onions was the best choice for something light before diving into our curry meals. The curry was extremely flavorful with the right consistency, and the chicken katsu and pork loin katsu were equally as delicious. The pork loin katsu was a bit more flavorful, and although it's a different cut it definitely reminded me of pork belly. We left fulfilled and full. Menu offers a nice selection of charcoal grilled such as A5 wagyu, yakitori beef, chicken, pork, kurobuta sausage, as well as quick bites, appetizers, carpaccio, special roll, sashimi, chirashi bowl, ramen, donburi, and desserts. For refreshments, they have sake, draft beer sapporo, shochu (traditional Japanese distilled spirit), chu-hi, soft drinks, plum wine, wine, and champagne. I ordered quick bites for Japanese Pickles ($5.80) and Cold Tofu ($4.80). Cold Tofu is simple, topped with chopped green onions, ginger, and bonito flakes. Japanese Pickles is light and tasty, has yellow pickled radish (daikon), cucumbers, seaweed, and cabbage. I tried a small appetizer for Shrimp Tempura ($8.80) and request mayonnaise on the side. Shrimp is fried golden crispy, served over mixed greens with tomatoes, and the mayo is a great dipping sauce. For dessert, they have waffles for Berry Berry, Matcha Anko, and Choco Banana, including ice cream and mochi. Make sure to pick up a pastry for dessert. The dorayaki was a perfect ending to this meal. The box was a perfect size and everything was very tasty. I wish there was a bit more macaroni salad and kimchi. It was such a pleasure to have a bento much like those I used to get in Little Tokyo when I was in LA.
