I'm going to start it off by hoping you open in the Spring Mountain area one day. I drove 20 minutes after seeing the omurice regardless if it was a "far" drive and oh boy, it was worth it. I'm part Japanese and my mother instilled the tradition of eating noodles on New Year's Eve, which I continue while raising my two boys. With the pandemic and the cold, windy and wet weather I decided to try this new restaurant and order take out tonight. I was impressed with the great customer service over the phone and then to be greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant by friendly and welcoming staff. It may seem silly, but I was even impressed by the thoughtfulness behind the packaging of the ToGo containers that were labeled with stickers. The soup bases were in separate containers. The ramen noodles were laying at the bottom of the ToGo bowls and the ingredients were laying in a separate tray on top with the lid that closed over the top. I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen with Black Garlic Oil and my boys had the Shoyu Ramen. We all agreed everything was cooked perfectly and it was delicious and really hit the spot. This was a Yelp win! Came here after searching for nearby restaurants, this was first and the katsu curry caught my eye. I'm so glad that there is YUMMY Japanese cuisine up here in the NW. the restaurant is small, 9 or 10 tables. It's a little confusing because when I walked in, the hostess table is in the back corner and she was on the phone... so do I wait up front? I wish there was a sign because I did a goofy shuffle back and forth figuring what I should do LOL the staff was kind and helpful with our questions. We ordered the potstickers (yummy) katsu curry (super yummy) poke salad (also yummy-I was surprised that the salad dressing had red chili flakes and was spicier like the Korean haedupbap) and a side of miso broth and white rice. My gf and I shared our dishes and we appreciate how the servers provided small bowls and spoon. Japanese beef bowl with egg tasted so good; the mixture of rice and sauce that came with the bowl brings out many different flavors, beef tender juicy-hot. With the Ramen I added black garlic sauce, you can have it on the side or within the ramen. The crunchy shrimp tempura that came with the ramen is a nice mix, tasted great with the soup. Seaweed on the side of the bowl and half-cut boiled egg, YUMMY! Let the server know you want to try out there Japanese Chili powder for added spicy taste! Don't put too much.. lol Dessert was cute and small. Surprise about the taste of the red bean and ice-cream-like texture. Definitely need to try this out... Brand new spot. The ONLY local restaurant to offer omelette rice. It's amazing, by the way. Their takoyaki was cooked perfectly and at just the right temperature. So I was near this place because we were going to aspire coffee house, and starving so we decided to pop in and check it out. The restaurant is fairly small, but we were seated pretty fast especially considering they were pretty busy. I ended up getting the tonkotsu ramen and my wife got the Japanese omelette rice, we also got gyoza to share. The ramen was was some of the BEST ramen I've had in town, which is saying a lot for me. The broth was amazing the noodles top notch and the chasu was charred to perfection. I'd definitely definitely recommend coming here! The food here is always amazing and comes out super quick. We love the music and the decor but the last couple times we've come here the staff has been super loud. The kitchen would get super loud and start yelling at each other randomly and every time our waitress wasn't walking around she would watch TikTok's or reals on her phone(which the whole restaurant could hear). While looking for a good lunch spot, my partner and I noticed Yoshiya Kitchen had just opened and right by where we live! It's such a cute little location. Definitely meant for smaller groups but it's so lovely inside. We were quickly sat and we got to look over the menu. We started with the Fried Shrimp and Takoyaki. The shrimp was so nice and crispy and was served with a sweet chili mayo. The Takoyaki was so creamy and delicious! The bite of squid inside melted in your mouth and was amazing! He ordered the Omurice with chicken and I got the crab and cheese croquettes with curry. Both are SO LARGE! Massive portions for the price, and I can't gush about the food enough. The curry was so rich and creamy. Combined with the rice it was so filling. And the croquettes? They were crunchy and crispy on the outside, with a smooth crab filling. The cheese was perfect and not too intense. His Omurice was so light and fluffy. The egg was rich and creamy, and the rice was filled with veggies and chicken. I'm in love. I'm going to dream about that curry and omurice. Not even just that, the owner came out to check on us. She was so sweet, and seemed genuinely happy and excited to say hello and ask us our thoughts. Great new find in the northwest valley! Saw other ravings about Yoshiya Kitchen in my neighborhood so my wife and I had to satisfy the foodie curiosity and check this place out. Happy to say, we agree with the others raving here, the whole experience was super nice! Nice environment, really nice and attentive staff and great food, prepared perfectly! We had the fried oysters, Takoyaki, Japanese Omellete Rice with House Special Sauce and Chicken Katsu Curry, Japanese latte coffee and hot tea... wow!! All very good and unique tastes from Japan. Only been once so far, but had a great experience. We ordered the: Chicken Karaage - Really good, not super crispy but nice and light Grilled Chicken Salad - I liked the salad and the dressing, the chicken was a little dry Shrimp Omelet Rice - Delicious, especially the softness of the egg and the taste of the gravy Dipping Ramen - Added black garlic oil, was Delicious, loved the thicker chewy noodles! I really liked how the broth was not salty at all. I don't like it when Ramen broth is too salty. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other ramen broths, and omelets! read more

WOW. I am impressed. Such a hidden gem and I'm so glad that this place was so close to home! I was a bit skeptical because of it bc most Japanese restaurants are closer to the strip but this was such a pleasant surprise. It's safe to say that it'll be my new go to and saves me the extra trip! First off, I had this order taken to-go on a cold afternoon and I was impressed with how they packaged it. Most especially the ramen and how they layered their containers and kept each component of the toppings, noodles, and soup separate. That allows for the noodles to not get bloated when you eat it and it's genius! After putting them all together, the ramen was beautiful. The quality and flavor of the ingredients were evident and after adding the side of black garlic oil to my tonkatsu ramen, it was the cherry on top. The cuts of pork were thick and flavorful, the egg actually had flavor all throughout and not just hardboiled, and the broth was not too light yet had enough umami and creaminess to compliment the noodles and other toppings. The takoyaki on the side was perfect as it even included actual pieces of octopus in them which was delicious in each bite. Getting dessert is always a must for the sweet tooth cravings and yoshiya got it covered. They have these cute mont blanc dessert cakes and after trying the matcha and purple sweet potato one, I knew I made the right choice. The piece of cake and sweet cream within was a delicious way to end my meal. I highly recommend getting the tonkatsu ramens with a side of black garlic oil (tbh anything goes great with a side of that black garlic oil). Treat yourself to a side of takoyaki and the purple sweet potato mont blanc was my fav choice of dessert. Definitely coming back here again. Update: Finally got a chance to eat in-house and the experience was better! Although eating in your home is convenient, nothing beats the dining in and getting your food hot and fresh. I got the pork katsu curry this time and it became my new go-to! The tender and juicy pork was coated in a light yet crispy batter which the curry coated beautifully without making it soggy. The rice and pickled red ginger completed the dish and after sprinkling in some of the spicy chili powder they had, I ate this dish clean. My bf got the beef udon bowl (ordered with that black garlic oil) and was smitten with his first time here! Just as delicious. The customer service was exceptional, the inside of the restaurant is pretty and spacious for a small spot. In my opinion, if you have time, it's worth eating inside. This place is 100% legit. We came in for a late lunch and literally everything we got was amazingly delicious. The service was wonderful, too-- it's hard to believe this place is so new, it felt like everyone was on the top of their game. I had the kurobuta sausage omurice and a yuzu peach soda, and my friends had house combination fried rice and the shrimp omurice. We all split takoyaki and each had one of the three different flavors of mont blanc-- matcha, black sesame, and purple sweet potato (beni imo?) So we stayed at a hotel in the same complex. We walked around and decided to eat here. The menu was decent, the waiters busy, many chefs in the kitchen, we got their as they were closing, so we had to order out. They directed us to an ordering station and we picked out really tasty looking dishes and waited all of 12 minutes for the food. It was amazing. We went back the next day! Popped in, they were as busy as before. Again the food was amazing. We ate there another time but not before we were told by a local couple that they had never been able to get in there because it was so busy there were lines down the street! How lucky were we? This is a perfect place for me and the food is just delicious. The waiters were very accommodating and the pricing was very reasonable. If we are near there again, we'll definitely go back! I came here for the first time tonight after searching on Yelp. I tried a sampling of dishes and even took an extra (beef bowl) to go for tomorrow. First, I had difficulty finding the wheelchair accessible ramp, but I called and the person who answered the phone helped guide me to the way up the ramp since the building has stairs everywhere. I came in a Tuesday night during dinner service and it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere is relaxed/casual. They have Japanese music playing--but more modern and hip. It was very clean and comfortable. And although it's casual, you could definitely meet friends or coworkers here and not feel like it is too casual-nice atmosphere. The waitress checked in with me several times throughout my meal and asked if there were any ingredients I would like to leave off of my Katsu bowl when taking my order. The soft drinks are sold by the can. I also ordered a couple of appetizers. The gyoza was fresh and had a crispy layer that was really good. The katsu bowl was not typical. It had some micro green and was hot and fresh. The rice was fluffy and delicious. I live in Tokyo when I'm not in Vegas and I definitely know my Japanese food! It was not a lot of katsu sauce on my bowl--and not as sweet as I find it in Tokyo, and next time I will ask for the onions to be simmered a bit longer in the mirin and sake, but it was very good. There were people in the restaurant speaking Japanese to each other --so you know it's pretty good stuff if this where native Japanese go to get a taste of home. :) I do wish they had a few other options on the menu--things that aren't all fried. Miso soup, teriyaki, yakisoba, sukiyaki, and hiyayakko, for example--but I was surprised to see Kanto style region (no noodles) okonomiyaki on the menu--and that's pretty unusual for Vegas! I was going to try it but I didn't see an option to add shrimp or some kind of meat to it and I was really hungry. This place is close by and I wish them lots of success! Service was terrible & we got the wrong food order. We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen, Chicken Paitan Ramen, Japanese combo omelette, black sesame & taro mont blanc cake. We got 2 paitan ramens instead of the tonkatsu, the broths from the ramen was cold by the time we got home and we only live less than 5 mins away. Never got the japanese combo omelette, got a japanese beef bowl instead. The beef bowl had 2 random shrimps thrown on the top and they were overcooked out the ass, the beef looked & tasted like it could have been cooked longer as well. I've had japanese beef bowls and never were they this bad. The rice was basically soaking from the beef and not in a pleasant way. The chicken was good in one ramen bowl but tasted off from the other. We ended up dumping the beef bowl because the "free food" wasn't worth a stomach ache. They gave a melona & mango drink for free. Servers got the black sesame cake right but not the taro. We got ONE but paid for 2. Server was too shame to give his first name due to his "privacy" when I said I wanted to know who I spoke to when I talk to a manager tomorrow (apparently no manager working friday nights. Such a busy night, there needs to be SOMEONE in charge so failures like today don't go unnoticed by management. I doubt if a manager was there, servers would have better attitudes). I asked for a first name, NOT his last name or social security lol. Maybe that's why servers here don't wear their name tags in plain sight, to protect their "privacy". Sounds to me like a bunch of babies. The server whispered to someone else what to do and they said to call back tomorrow around 4-5pm and speak to Sandy. I'm good on that. Wouldn't want to argue with another idiot who wasn't even there as to why things were out of order from 7:40pm-closing. Customers not even getting wait times or apologies, just told they'd get extra food so hold on. Guess extra food meant not what you ordered but whatever was made and sitting out. Server told me 20 mins for my order, I waited an hour and 20 mins. Hella people were pissed and walked out saying they're never coming to this shit establishment again. If you eat here and get good service + what you actually ordered and paid for, good for you I guess. I don't want to say I came on a bad night because this happened before so we didn't go back for a few weeks. Happened to want to try again and the service was worse than before. Servers need to be more attentive to customers & door dashers picking up orders. They couldn't even double check the order infront of us because they were busy. Busy lol. Free food shouldn't be given in place of what was actually ordered and paid for. Free doesn't always mean it's better. Workers need to understand the difference between quality and quantity. It's just a bigger loss on the owners part. Better communication needs to be enforced. A manager should be present if owner is not able to be there during open hours. No excuses. All bad. read more

Extremely happy I have a new ramen spot to go to, that's close by! The quality is outstanding. I ordered the chicken karaage for my appetizer. Crispy and juicy. I definitely recommend. I then ordered miso ramen for my main. The broth was soo good and the shoyu tamago did it for me. To finish, I ordered the purple yam mont blanc. I really didn't care for it. My server Trent (who is the sweetest) informed me that they soon will be offering ice cream since I wasn't crazy about the dessert.
