I have been ordering cakes from Yours Truly for years...before she got famous!!! Alisia is the most wonderful human being to work with and has been incredibly accommodating through all the years of ordering. Her cakes are not only gorgeous, but taste amazing too. She is an amazingly talented and gifted baker. I have ordered cakes for several birthdays, baptism, and basically any celebration I'm ever having it's a no brainer of where to get my cake. She handles every order with care and puts so much love into the entire process. It's not just a cake you're getting, is a whole vibe that truly takes your special celebration to the next level. You will be blown away by what Alisia creates. I think at this point I just make up parties to have a reason to order a cake. Delicious, beautiful, custom, does delivery, goes the extra mile to make sure everything is just right. 10000000 stars! A true Bay Area legend and gem of a business. Personal favorite is the carrot cake. Ordered this for a 70th birthday party and the whole party could not stop talking about the cake! When I ordered a cake for a baptism, I had two grown men fighting over who would take the left overs home. Yep, this girl knows what she's doing. Thanks Yours Truly, looking forward to the next one!

We love cakes from Alisia at Yours Truly Cake Shop! For our wedding we asked for a classic, rustic cake with a surprise flavor choice. After a fun little quiz about our preferences, Alisia took the assignment and ran with it! We were thrilled to have a surprise on our special day - it was homemade confetti cake! Alisia also made a beautiful cake for a joint baby shower in San Francisco. The theme was "Adventure Awaits" and everyone loved the mountain landscape cake she created. Her cakes are not just creative and fun, they also taste amaaazing! Everyone wants to try a slice when it is made with so much love and creativity.

At $4.75 each or $54/dozen for standard size cupcakes, the price is a bit steep, but these also aren't just your regular supermarket cupcakes. They taste amazing, are beautifully presented, many are even filled, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. They make the perfect gift for a special occasion. I'm a baker and am a bit of a cake snob. I've eaten some beautiful cupcakes and found the taste doesn't always match the look- but that's not the case here. Flavors are on point, frosting is delicious and cake is light and airy. Many of the cupcakes are even filled. I can see why the key lime pie one is a favorite- I think I like it better than the pie version! The frosting tastes like cheesecake and it even has the classic pie crust on bottom. The crème brûlée cupcakes were unique and a standout also. They also have a gluten free option and a couple vegan options. I ordered online and it was quick and easy to pick up towards the back of Swan's Market. Staff was quick & friendly. There aren't many places around to buy a good cupcake, and none quite like these. I highly recommend them and will be a repeat customer.

They are all good, but melons is my favorite by far. There is usually always a line, but they don't run out somehow. If you love cupcakes and haven't tried these trust me you need to! They're in a location that used to be a Subway. I've only have their cookies, I'm a sucker for good cookies. I particularly recommend their Peanut Butter Miso (a flavor I don't think you can get at a lot of places, sweet savory), and Ginger Molasses. I've also been supporting them because they're part of the Rewards Network Dining. I subscribe to the program to get Alaska/Atmos points on qualified dining, and I'm trying to get as many points as I can, so dining with restaurants as part of that program is helpful. You can order full cakes as well as they have slices avaialble for purchase. I got a tiramisu slice for my mom, which she said she liked. Good addiiton to the neighorhood.

Their primary focus appears to be on their special order cakes-which look amazing. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. After asking a few questions, I decided on the Passion Coco cake($5) and the Brown Sugar Pecan scone ($3.50). I enjoyed the Passion Coco cake slice. The coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry flavors worked well together, although the passion fruit flavor was very subtle. The sponge was cake moist, and the butter cream was spot on with its melt-in-your-mouth creamy texture. The Brown Sugar Pecan scone was good, but it had more of a dense muffin texture than a traditional scone, and the flavors were a bit muted. They did not skimp on the pecans though, which was nice. I would have enjoyed bolder flavors and a more traditional scone texture. Overall, I found that the walk in options are limited, but a great spot for locals to stop in and pick up tasty baked goods-and I would definitely order one of their beautiful and delicious looking cakes for a special occasion.

I had to update my review because Gregory's is absolutely the best bakery in town!…read more First of all, Gregory is incredibly kind, and his desserts are AMAZING. A few years ago, there was definitely a dip in communication when I was trying to order a birthday cake, but since then, I've had the pleasure of enjoying Gregory's treats many times. His cheesecake is truly unlike any I've ever had. The chocolate brownies and chocolate chip cookies are so good, they'll make you feel like you're not even on planet Earth! Seriously, they're that delicious. And the chocolate cake? It tastes like it was baked by a sweet Southern grandmother. It literally melts in your mouth. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that every time I go, I buy all four items and happily eat them over the next few days! Hands down, Gregory's is the BEST BAKERY IN OAKLAND. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!

I got the New York cheesecake, sweet potato cake, peach cobbler, and chocolate chip walnut cookie. The New York cheesecake was incredible. The tang of the cream cheese was prominent and refreshing, emphasized by the thick layer of sour cream on top. The crust was thin but crispy and the cake was a beautiful golden brown. Easily the best thing I ate from this place. The sweet potato cake was very alike a carrot cake but a bit richer. The cake was moist and not very sweet potato forward but nicely spiced. In between the two layers of cake and on top of them was a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. Even as someone with a major sweet tooth, I found the sugar level of the frosting to be way too much for the amount I was given. After eating this slice, I would not want to eat sugar for a week at least. The peach cobbler was not to my taste. I prefer a crispier topping, and found that the cobbler was just mush with some peaches. It was well spiced, but I found the flavor a bit perfume-like. We popped it in the oven to crisp it up and, though it was improved, I still did not enjoy the flavor or mushy texture. The chocolate chip and walnut cookie was classic and comforting, but very well done. The cookie itself was nutty and well toasted, which balanced beautifully with the slight bitterness of the chocolate chips. The walnuts added to the crunch of the cookie but the cookie itself was on the softer side with a slight crisp around the edges. Overall, I would definitely go back and try more desserts. There were so many options and even then most things were already sold out. It's a cute and small bakery that definitely has some tasty surprises!
