Yumee Katsu absolutely delivered. Everything we ordered was solid, satisfying, and genuinely delicious. The standout for me was the katsu curry. The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying tender inside, and the curry was rich, flavorful, and completely addictive. I kept going back for another bite even when I was already getting full. The udon noodle soup was comforting and well-balanced, while the cold soba noodles were refreshing and nicely textured. I also loved the chewy spicy cold noodles--they had a great bite and just the right amount of spice, making them surprisingly memorable. Portions here are incredibly generous. Even after eating until I was stuffed, my plate still looked full. Definitely great value for the amount of food you get. The meal also comes with kimchi and yellow radish sides, which were the perfect complement. Their freshness and acidity helped cut through the richness of the fried dishes and tied everything together nicely. Overall, a delicious meal with generous portions and plenty of variety. I'd happily come back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're craving quality katsu and comforting noodle dishes.
So yummy! We love this place for family time. The food is always fresh and delicious. The katsu is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The portions are generous and worth the price. The side dishes and sauces are excellent as well. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our family always enjoys dining here. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this place!
Stumbled on this place when me and my fam were looking for a place to have a late lunch after shopping at the outlets. I love me a good curry katsu plate, and appreciated how they also offer noodles with their katsu, as my bf prefers that instead of rice. We were shocked to notice the spicy noodles come out cold (we absolutely love cold noodles) since not many places offer that. We were so impressed at how tasty literally everything we ordered was. The staff were also so nice and welcoming, and inside was pretty spacious with many filled tables. This will definitely be our new go-to spot to come by after a shopping day at the outlets!
SUCH GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE!! 3 orders feeds 4 people super well! Huge portions!! My favorite was the assorted katsu - the katsu meat was so tender and the breading was perfect. I also loved the cold noodle katsu - it said it's 3 chili level spiciness, but it didn't feel too spicy at all! The little plates were so good too - I loved the soup!! Will definitely be coming back for the curry katsu. Highly recommend this place!!
When we arrived on a Saturday night, we got seated right away. We're a party of 2. We ordered the Yumee Katsu and the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice which were both delicious. The katsu were very juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The restaurant was very quiet overall with diners chatting within their tables so this is a great restaurant if you're looking for something quiet. I would come back here again.
Absolutely delicious! I completely understand why the wait is so long, because my taste buds were having a blast! I came on a weekend and even at the odd hours of 2:30pm, we had to wait 45ish minutes. I loved that the katsu didn't taste like oil. The service was efficient. While the place is quite small, it is well maintained. Can't wait to come back!
Assorted Katsu Add On Mini Udon -- delicious combo of everything! Love the side dishes of radish, cabbage salad with a citrus sauce and a light soup. I liked the variety of katsu. Shrimp was very light, cheese katsu was nice despite it getting a little cold to not have a cheese pull, katsu was not overcooked and fresh and flakey. Curry Katsu Rice -- curry sauce was delicious and not thick. The same side dishes come with every dish. Overall quick service, delicious food, easy to order through the kiosk.
This is a Korean curry restaurant and the food was very good! Pork was fried to perfection! The place was clean and well organized. The server was very attentive and prompt . The water they served had a hint of fresh lemon, very good flavor to pair with the food. I def think it's not sink water, it's filtered water! Overall portion was substantial and flavor was 5/5! Will visit again!
Came here for a quick bite and tried the Curry Katsu Udon. It was solid and exactly what I was expecting: good comfort food, nothing too over-the-top. The pickle banchan and side salad were a nice touch and really refreshing between bites of the curry. One thing to note: you order directly from the tablet at the table, which I didn't realize at first, but it made the service super fast. The atmosphere was a nice surprise too, they were playing K-pop and the place has a much stronger Korean vibe than I initially thought. Definitely a cool spot!
Stopped by here on a rainy day with my friends! I ordered the spicy noodle chicken katsu, it was sweet, slightly savory, and was differently unique! I am more of a savory person, so this one threw me in for a loop! I like how the noodles were cold. It tasted great however I definitely was eyeing my friend's curry LOL. We were actually debating on whether or not we wanted to try Yumee this past Friday, but at the newly opened Castro Valley location. We ended up not going on Friday, but ended up trying Yumee at the Dublin location for dinner today. This location has been established at this location for a while now, and it's in a fairly popular plaza with plenty of parking available. We had a party of six (one toddler), and they don't have too many tables for parties larger than four, so we waited just a bit. Even at peak dinner time, it doesn't seem like wait is too bad since turnover is fairly quick. I originally wanted to try the Curry Udon with Fried Vegetables, but they ran out, so I ended up getting Chicken Katsu with Curry Udon. My partner got a Kimchi Nabe. The rest of my party members got a Curry Katsu Rice, another Kimchi Nabe, and a Cheese Katsu with a side of hot soba (mini) for the toddler. Even though the restaurant was full, food was prepared fairly quickly. I think we waited about 10-15 mins for the full order to be fulfilled. I liked that each of entrees came with sides. My Chicken Katsu came with a small side of soup, shredded cabbage, pickled daikon, and a bit of kimchi. I thought the addition of these sides were really nice to break up the flavor of the entree. My chicken katsu was delicious. It's sliced up in perfect sizes - not too thick or thin. The chicken is still tender, soft, still a bit juicy, and pretty sizable too. But I think what makes this one of the better katsu I've had is that the breading was perfect. The breading covered every outer surface area, and texture was just on point. It's neither too coarse or too fine of a breading. The udon noodles were nice and chewy. And the curry was not heavy, but also has a nice, deep flavor to it. As for the Kimchi Nabe, it was a tolerable amount of spice for me. I can't handle too much spice, but I can usually handle the spiciness from kimchi. The Kimchi Nabe came with a thick katsu. I think this would have been too heavy of a meal for me if I gone for this myself, but I'm just sampling from my partner's plate! The katsu was also pretty delicious, though you don't get as much of the crispy breading with the Nabe since it's all covered in sauce! I like that the Nabe came with not only kimchi, but some other mix of veggies too. I had a few slices of mushroom, and some onions as well. The kimchi also had a very nice deep flavor to it, so I'm wondering if they make this in-house. I can see how this pairs nicely with a bowl of rice. My table also ordered a bottle of beer to share and I love that they had chilled beer mugs ready to go. It made the beer taste extra refreshing. It's these little details like the little side dishes and chilled mugs that go a long way sometimes! A great katsu experience. Although this was my first time trying, I think Yumee has beat all the other katsu places I've tried around the Bay. I just hope that the Castro Valley location is just as good, not only quality wise, but also service as well. The staff here is tentative, friendly, and quick! I think this guy (maybe the owner or manager) even offered my niece a mini Melona ice cream bar at the end of her meal!
Excellent katsu spot- portions, flavors and customer service! We enjoyed the curry katsu, assorted katsu with a side of cold soba noodles, and the tonkatsu with chewy spicy noodles. All were delicious. My daughter's order was taking longer than the rest.. they had given it to another table in error. Not sure if he's the owner or manager, super apologetic and gave us an order of tteokbokki on the house. Hubby doesn't normally eat spicy but he tried it, enjoyed it, even if he had to drink the whole carafe of water. Great spot and we will definitely be back.
This strip mall is pretty busy with several other restaurants. I've been to a few restaurants in this mall. Every table was full when we arrived, we put in our name and waited about 5 minutes. A menu is on the side of the table that you can order from. We put in our orders and I thought the pork looked a little under cooked so I sent it back asking for it to be not pink. The manager came over and said it was fine but if you want it cooked longer he would send it back. I had the chicken katsu with curry. I liked my katsu curry and want to try the chewy noodles next visit.
Another nee spot that just opened up in Dublin! Yumee katsu is located conveniently in the plaza near target. We stopped by during Friday and it wasn't too busy. Upon sitting down for a few minutes, a rush of dinner patrons came by lining up to order. They don't have a lot of seatings inside, so there were groups waiting to dine in. We were originally seated at a table that sat 4, and was asked to a table to seat 2 later. No big deal but we moved to a spot that was a bit colder since they had the door open. The menu selection has a variety of katsu dishes ranging from cheese, fish, and pork. It's served with curry, katsu sauce, and does come plain on a few dishes. Depending on the dish you order too, it comes with rice or udon. We got our food in about 10 minutes after ordering. We ordered the king donkatsu and a donkatsu spicy chewy noodle. The don katsu is their advertised big order of katsu. While indeed large, it's a very thinly sliced piece of pork compared to the katsu my girlfriend got. The sauce is also a katsu sauce, served with rice, typical Bon chon like radish. The donkatsu with chewy noodle had a much thicker cut of katsu but a lot smaller. The noodles itself had the same texture kojack with gochujang sauce. Both dishes came with a soup that I highly recommend saving for last as it's the best thing in the plate. The soup was a bit spicy and had a ton of flavor. In terms of service, we noticed food sitting around before it was served. When we received our food, everything on the tray was received warm and some even cold. The noodles were ice cold when received. Overall, it's a nice version of katsu if you've never had Korean style katsu. Would I come back though? Probably not as it's missing some of the key elements of a great katsu place. If you're looking for portion, look somewhere else. If youre craving for hot and spicy foods, it's not here. I think if you give this place a few months to figure out their front of the house and back, and giving it some time to mature after the hype, maybe it's worth another visit. Came here on a Friday evening with 3 other people (total of 4 people), and there was a wait as the place was small and BUSY. You sign up on a tablet and enter your name, cell number and party number to get on the waitlist. Luckily the wait wasn't too long and we were able to get seated not too long after putting our names down. With how small the place is though, I would not recommend it for big groups. As for ordering, you have tablets on the table that you can order from, servers bring water pitchers per table along with cups so you can pour your own water whenever you want. We ordered a variety of items including the chicken katsu w/ rice, chicken katsu w/ spicy chewy noodles, and fish katsu. My item was the shrimp katsu as I am pescatarian and I was very happy with the portions when it arrived to our table. The fish katsu was bigger than what was pictured (WHICH USUALLY DOESNT HAPPEN) so I was pleasantly surprised. Overall the taste of the food was fresh and the rest of the group I came with were also very pleased with what they got. Definitely would stop by this place again when I'm in the area. read more

Came here on a Friday night with the boo. Luckily we were able to get seated right away. You order on an iPad. Looking around you have the classic TV playing K-pop music videos on a wall. The selection mainly was katsu-based meals. We got the cheese katsu and the tonkatsu/tteokbokki meal. Food came out fairly quickly and the meal was delicious! I particularly loved how chewy the cheese katsu was and the tteokbokki was not too spicy. The pork was very tender on the inside. I also appreciated the small bowl of udon broth on the side and the various pickles to cut through the oiliness. Will definitely be back to try more of their katsu dishes! read more

So good!! Pleasantly surprised and loved everything. Got an assorted plate and it was worth every bite! Included Cheese Katsu, Crispy Shrimp and Thick pork cuts. Partner had the curry katsu and the curry was really good with thinner cuts of pork katsu. Combo comes with a salad really light and fresh yuzu dressing, Radish and Kimchi pickled sides, and miso soup. The dipping sauce was a sweet tonkatsu sauce and tartar sauce. Tried wasabi and pink salt combo with the pork katsu for the first time - another suggested way to enjoy the meal! *only note is the Udon was *fishy* than normal udon soup bases, if not your preference then request the miso base as your udon base instead! Great place for Korean Katsu. I got katsu curry udon and my wife got the fish katsu. We ordered through their tablet system so we didn't really interact much with the employees besides food check in and paying the bill. The food was good and definitely a go to spot for curry katsu craving in the East Bay. I liked the soup they offered on the side and the cabbage. I normally don't write reviews unless I'm really compelled to, regardless if it's negative or positive. But after tonight's dinner at Yumee Katsu Dublin, I must speak up about me and my partner's experience dining at this establishment. When we first entered the restaurant, it was very busy and almost all the tables were in use. There were two tables left for two, but they were very close to each other. Nonetheless, our server (young gentleman I didn't get his name) seated me and my partner, as well as the couple that came two minutes earlier. The seating arrangement was quite uncomfortable and didn't really allow us to have much conversation without ease dropping. (Keep in time, this was on Valentine's Day.) We sat in our seats and the server came with our menus, two flimsy clear plastic cups, and a small canteen of water with a lemon wedge. We only looked at the menu for two minutes and the server came to our table ready to order. We were flustered because this was our first time at this restaurant and we didn't know what kind of dish we wanted, and he was pushing us to make a decision and order. He didn't offer us a recommendation, but rather presented us an expectation. We politely asked him to give us another few minutes to make a decision. When it came time to order our food, I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry with a Coke Zero (or Zero Coke, as they call it.) and my partner ordered a Terra beer with Katsu Curry. Within ten minutes, my Chicken Katsu arrived at my table. However, the curry was missing. They took my order wrong. Then my partner's food came and his cutlet was smothered in curry. I tried to get the server's attention to correct this error, but he was no where to be found... for five minutes. So I gave up waiting for him to complain and settled with the plate I did not choose. The food was mediocre. My chicken katsu was breaded and cooked to perfection, the cabbage salad was bland, the rice was mushy, the banchan was stale, and the katsu sauce included on the side was basically seasoned ketchup. My partner's curry was described as "dark gravy with little to no flavor." Although the food looked good and was Instagram worthy, the taste did not match it and it was not worth the social media hype. My mom is Korean and she can make a better curry sauce than this place. Not even five minutes into our meal, the server comes to our table to check on us, then promptly gave us the bill. We were stunned. We were very offended by this gesture, as we felt rushed and unable to properly enjoy a decent meal. The restaurant wasn't closing soon, and despite it being busy, there was no line for a table. We were nothing but polite to the server. So why did this happen? We were thoroughly disappointed, especially considering it was Valentine's Day. After we finished our meal, my partner paid the bill and left zero gratuity, still stunned over the poor customer service and mediocre food. Before we left, the server approached us and confirmed us that we were not leaving a tip. We said yes and left. If you're looking for a decent place to eat with little to no expectations, then go for it. Otherwise, I would not recommend this place especially to those who had high expectations from social media like me. I feel like a fool for even writing this review. But my naïveness should be a lesson learned to anyone who knows better. read more

Was glad to see a new Katsu place open up in Dublin but was surprised to see the menu as a fusion mix of Korean and Japanese flavors as I have not seen that particular mix before. Definitely was curious to see what type of flavor this end up being. Stopped by on a saturday around noon and the placed was packed! Nice to see some of these places actually busy and lively as I have seen way too much turnover with good places around this shopping center. Right off the bat I liked the improved decor of this place as this was previously a Ramen 101. Chairs are a big upgrade and very comfy but the locked up ipad ordering tablet only available on one end of the table is a sad state of our society unfortunately. Also the ordering software on the ipad is pretty poor with no bigger images, descriptions of the food items and no options to alter so not sure if that is a limitation of the ordering software or you just cant make any changes. I should have just asked for a print menu I guess or asked more questions as our server was very nice and friendly but pretty busy so I didnt want to bother them. Checking out the menu I was torn between ordering a standard pork katsu curry with rice (which would sort of be my measuring stick for a katsu place to compare against other similar places) or the interesting fusion options of chewy noodles, teokbokki and more standard fare such as udon soup or curry options. Very interesting options indeed so I decide to try out the pork katsu with chewy spicy noodle item called Donkatsu Spicy Chewy Noodle. My party also ordered the udon noodle soup and the pork katsu curry udon. When our food arrived I was very impressed by the size portions and colorful presentation of the main dish. Also included were some small side bonchon items of pickled and kimchee radish chunks a small side of curry and some miso soup. Did not realize you get some small sides so this was a nice bonus. Dove right into the pork katsu and it was amazing! The pork itself is super tender and well flavored and probably some of the best tasking katsu pork I have had. The breading was thin, light and very crispy but still adhered well to the pork so outstanding work on this pork katsu! Definitely seems to be the must have item if you come here and many of the dishes feature it so make sure to grab some version of it alongside your choice of base. As for my particular base I was initially shocked that it was a COLD noodle! I am not usually a fan of cold noodle dishes so while I was initially taken aback I found the cold japchae style noodle mixed with a medium spicy korean red sauce to be very pleasant and you could cut the noodle with some julienne raw cucumbers, carrots and shredded cabbage. I felt there was a tad too much of the veggies taking over my plate and it was hard to find space to mix it all together so having it on the side would be a more logistically pleasing way to mix this but then wouldnt look as nice I guess. I am not familiar with this korean noodle dish but if there was an option to get it hot I would be in heaven with this dish. As it was I still finished almost all of it as the sauce was amazing. The star of this dish and probably this place was th pork katsu however and it was a good sized portion but I still could have had even MORE after I was finished with it. The small side of curry sauce that was provided was decent but had a sweeter flavor in it that was not like your standard japanese curry but still good. I would have asked for more as there was not enough to dip all my katsu but I didnt know if the side order ($6) was what I needed to order or if I could just get refills; again I should have asked but was fine with what I had for the most part. I tried the Udon noodle soup which my partner really enjoyed but since I am not a fan of miso based broth I thought it was just okay but udon noodle texture seemed great. Personally my GOAT Japanese curry place is still Demiya on the east side of dublin as it has a more traditional japanese curry flavor to it and you can spice it up to your level of preference but I will say this pork katsu can go head to head with them and yet is just different enough to warrant making trips to both places to try out. Also with this place having additional korean style bases to select from really makes it unique. I will definitely be back to try the Chicken Katsu to compare as well but it will be hard to NOT select another dish with the pork katsu so I guess I will be ordering side of the pork just in case! Overall a great new addition of unique cuisine to try out in the area and highly recommend. Prices are about mid to high but you get pretty good portion size so I dont mind paying a bit more for the right amount of food. Please update the order software to reflect changes you can make or add more pictures and descriptions to the items so people can be better informed of what they are ordering otherwise amazing food and will be back very soon! read more

Best katsu around! We've been here twice and never disappointed. First time we had the chicken katsu and the donkatsu with spicy chewy noodle. Both very tender and juicy. 2nd time was chicken katsu again and the fish katsu with a side of curry (my favorite so far!) All the dishes we've tried are not dry at all and very flavorful! This restaurant is nestled in a very comfortable plaza near the Livermore Outlets, which makes this spot an ideal lunch spot during your shopping sprees. The environment is casual and despite the physical size of the store, the dining area is relatively spacious. Service is great. The staff are friendly and attentive. During a visit, I was rubbing my chopsticks together to get rid of the splinters, and a staff member offered me a new pair. A very thoughtful gesture, even though I didn't need the extra pair lol. The food is excellent every time I have been here. While I prefer their chicken katsu, their base katsu (pork) is good in quality, better than most katsu place, if I am honest. Their katsu curry meals come with a salad, soup, and two pickled side dishes. The one detail that should be noted is that Yumee Katsu has taken the popular Japanese katsu curry meal set and made their own unique twists, which is notable in the way they serve Korean pickled sides instead of using fukujinzuke, which would have been the more typical side you'd expect with katsu curry. Their curry dishes have a good proportion of sauce to rice and protein. Their cheese katsu is nice as well and the dipping sauce has good flavor and optimal viscosity that sticks well to the katsu, but the dipping sauce is a little strong for my personal liking. Overall a great spot, and consistent food quality every time I come. Worth checking out and making it your casual go-to spot. read more

I finally had the chance to try this place. It's not bad. I ordered the Curry Katsu Rice. It came with a small miso soap, small pickled radish? So I watch this japanese guy with a all white t-shirt eating for the most part katsu or tempura items on tik tok with a large side rice and eats his food rapidly. Anyways I influenced.lol.. I drove from Stockton CA to try this place. I wasn't disappointed. You order on a mounted tablet at the end of the table. Ambiance was adequate with k pop on the speakers. I ordered what you see on the picture. Combination katsu plate, regular pork katsu with rice and curry, and lastly cheese katsu. Not entirely cheese I think it was ham lined. Food came out relatively fast and everything was crispy and tasty. Even the vegetables dishes were crisp and tasty. I've had katsu before but not like this. This certainly suffice my influence to eat Japanese katsu. Will try again when in the area. read more

The staff was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire visit, which really added to the overall experience. I can't believe I haven't tried this place sooner! It's located next to 88 Bao Bao and there's plenty of free parking in the lot. You can dine in or order takeout via the tablet. The menu is pretty simple with different types of Katsus, curries, and udons. We ordered the fish katsu and the chicken katsu. You can add a side of mini udon for $4. The meal comes with rice, salad, soup, dipping sauce, and pickles. The breading on the katsu was thin and super crispy. They definitely do not skimp on the meat. I love Katsu, especially when I am in the mood for fried food. It's not something I eat often. Parking is easy. For reference, the restaurant is next to Shabu King. The restaurant is not very big, and I wish the tables were a little larger to accommodate all the food you get per person. Ordering takes place on an iPad, and it was a little confusing because the iPad's response time was slow, so you have to make sure you don't keep clicking the menu item; otherwise, you could end up with duplicate orders. The food was very good, and I especially loved having the mini bowl of Udon alongside the Katsu plate. Well worth it for $3.99, but be hungry! The Katsu plate and mini bowl of noodles are plenty to eat. They all came with a bowl of Rice, sauce, and Bonchon (kimchi & pickled daikon). Be sure to sprinkle on the sesame to add a pop of flavor. read more

Yumee Katsu is a hidden gem in Dublin! I know there are so many new food establishments growing in the Dublin/Pleasanton area, so it was nice to come across something a little less busy. Restaurant was small with lots of tables seating 2 or 4 groups. The only way to order was through the screen at the end of each table. I got the Chicken Katsu Curry Udon and my friend got the Chicken Katsu Curry with Rice. My udon was soooo good!! I wish it had some spice levels to choose from and maybe add ins, but it was really tasty nonetheless! My only con was that gratuity was added in our tab, but we weren't checked on unless our food was delivered. I did ask for 2 more jugs of water, but never received it. read more

This is a pretty good new katsu place in the area! It has a very cozy and causal atmosphere and there is limited seating but the food came out super fast! The katsu tasted pretty good and it's good value for what you get! loved the katsu curry the most! I also loved all of the sides that it came with. Will for sure be coming back! read more

I tried the Donkatsu with Spicy Chewy Noodle, but unfortunately, the execution didn't live up to the price point. The temperature contrast here makes no sense--serving hot, crispy katsu directly on top of a bed of cold noodles resulted in the meat becoming lukewarm and losing its texture almost immediately. On top of that, the Chicken Katsu was bland and lacked any real seasoning. The most disappointing part was the value. They recently raised the price from $19.99 to $23.99. A 20% price hike is significant, and the quality of the food simply doesn't justify a $24 price tag. I finally tried Yumee Katsu and it was honestly good! The portions are huge, the cutlet is super crispy, and everything came out fresh and hot. I ordered the cold noodle katsu plate and the flavors were delicious -- the noodles however was a tad over cooked. My friend got the curry katsu, and it was another hit. The curry sauce was rich and comforting, and the katsu stayed crispy even with the sauce on the plate. The only downside? The side dishes -- especially the kimchi -- weren't my favorite. A bit bland and didn't have that kick or depth you expect. But the main dishes absolutely made up for it. Overall, Yumee Katsu is definitely worth a stop if you're craving crispy pork cutlet or a satisfying Korean comfort meal. I'd come back for the katsu alone! read more

Food was amazing! Service was even better, and the restaurant is so clean and everyone was helpful. All of our katsu was made to perfection. I loved how there is info about how to eat the katsu on their smart tablet at the table. I did have concerns about the pork being a little pink but the information on how that happens is at the table! Every piece of katsu was made perfectly. I've been wanting to try this Katsu spot for a while so decided to check it out for lunch. When I walked in there was maybe two other people and then slowly but surely people started filling up the restaurant. I wanted to try different kinds of katsu so I got the assorted katsu plate. It came with cheese katsu, pork katsu and shrimp tempura. It also came with rice, cabbage salad, soup, kimchi, radish along with dipping sauces for the katsu. It cost $23.99 which I thought wasn't so bad. It took awhile but that's good because it means it's cooked to order. The temperature of everything was perfect. Not too hot but not warm either. The cheese katsu had a delightful sweetness to it. The pork was cooked perfectly and shrimp tempura tasted well with the tartar sauce. I really enjoyed the dressing on top of the cabbage salad. I ate everything and felt satisfied. The tables and are were clean and they were playing K-pop which is always a plus. Also they have tvs where sports were playing. Staff were super friendly too. Only con I would say would be the seats. They weren't very comfortable so it doesn't make me want to stay. I'd definitely come back though to try the chicken katsu and their udon noodles. read more

This is the best katsu place in the Bay Area, hands down. We came here on a Sunday around peak lunch time. Waited over half an hour but was totally worth it. Most entrees are close to $20 but you get a large portion. The katsu fillets were perfectly fried. Very crispy on the outside but the meat is moist and tender. You get a katsu dipping sauce, a couple of small pickled vegi side dishes, rice (except if you ordered noodle dishes), and a small bowl of soup. Our party had the Katsu with spicy chewy noodles, shrimp katsu curry udon, chicken katsu curry udon, teobokki, cheese katsu and the katsu curry with rice. It was a totally satisfying meal and we will be back again when in the craving for excellent katsu. read more

I got the assorted katsu. Comes with their cheese, pork, and shrimp katsu. You could tell they were freshly fried. The shrimp was crispy and came with a tartar sauce. The pork katsu was large and crispy as well! I'd recommend eating the cheese katsu first, so the cheese doesn't harden up as it cools though! read more

went on a friday night for dinner. we got there around 6pm and were the 8th group on the waitlist. we waited about 20 minutes, but by the time we left, the waitlist was around 20. interior is cozy and clean, but small. order on the ipad which is quick and efficient. plenty of free parking in the plaza - curry katsu rice (5/5): comes with kimchi and pickled daikon, cabbage salad, and a light soy based soup. curry was rich and really flavorful, and the katsu was super crispy. so good! portion sizes are pretty good - my friends got the shrimp curry udon, chicken katsu, and curry katsu udon, and they all liked their dishes! - my brother had actually tried their takeout and their very mindful of their packaging to keep the katsu crisp! overall, a very solid korean katsu place in the east bay and likely my new go-to! will definitely be back to try other items read more

Great food & portions! Food came out at a great pace, but the seating/restaurant layout is definitely cramped. That's just the type of lots the plaza has however, so just be aware of that if you have a larger party (6+ ppl). I got the Curry Udon, Chicken Katsu, and Cold Soba.
