    Boiled live fish w/ pickles

This place is pretty good for szechuan food. The best fish was the cold pork belly with garlic sauce. The meat was tender and there was noodles underneath it and the sauce was very good. The steamed pork slices were also very good and hearty. The wonton in chili oil was surprisingly also good. The boiled fish with pickles and green beans were decent. The overall taste of this place is interesting in that the mala isn't as strong as other Szechuan places. So that might be a turn off for some. The staff was nice and brought out the dishes in a timely order but kind of inattentive at times like filling the water. The atmosphere feels nice and quiet and homely.

Food is still good, and even after seven months the prices are still the same. The menu is the same minus a few items that they blocked out. Rice is $1.50 a bowl/per person. Some more specificity: Hot & spicy fish w pig intestine $26.99 - this seemed like they used grass carp because of the thin cut of the fish. Some pieces still had fish scales and fish bones. Be careful. Some celery was in it too. The flavor was excellent. Chicken with Szechuan hot pepper $15.99 - Chicken is fried. There was thin wafers of something fried. I would guess it's like potato chips. It's not sweet enough to be banana/plantain. The flavor is really good. Fried sauce dry noodle $9.99 - I would pass on this because I would like more meat. The flavor is sour and peppery, which isn't really my preference. It's not a bad dish though. This is a hot noodle without soup. Service is good. They pack up leftovers for you.

I was hoping this would be a new location for some spicy Sichuan dishes but I felt like it wasn't very spicy at all. The location is right off valley and there is street parking. The shop had about 10 tables including round tables for larger groups. It was pretty empty when we got there but more parties came later at night. They give complimentary roasted peanuts that were a nice appetizer. They have a lot of variety on the menu, and maybe we got the wrong dishes, but the mapo tofu was just okay and the spicy boiled beef tasted overly tenderized. I was expecting the mapo tofu to be a numbing and spicy flavor, but it was only mildly spicy and the waiter never asked for my spicy level, so im assuming this is just one spicy level. The spicy beef was primarily chili oil and I didn't really like the quality of the beef. A bowl of rice is $1.50, which is kind of necessary for these types of dishes. I think I would return to try other dishes, such as the rattan fish filet or gizzards. The Liang fen also looked like it could be good. But hopefully the spicy level hits better the next time around.

3.5/5 I'm a big spicy food guy and was very excited when my wife brought up trying Szechuan Delicious. We came in for dinner, got seated, and were given salted peanuts while we were looking over the menu. Everything sounded so good on the menu, and we decided to go with the Mapo Tofu and the Szechuan Boiled Beef. The waiter did not ask us how spicy we wanted our dish, so we were not sure if we could adjust it. We also added on a bowl of rice for $1.50. When the dishes came out, we were a bit disappointed because they were not spicy at all to me. Maybe my spice tolerance is very high, but even my wife thought that it wasn't as spicy. She said it was mild at best. Regardless, the mapo tofu still had flavor and the boiled beef was tender and very saucy. I think we will return just to give this place another try. Maybe we will order different things and ask if we can make it spicier.

I came here to order to-go and everything went well, including the eating part! The waiter who took my to-go order was patient and kind as I was trying to decide what to order and I only had to wait around 10min before I drove 25min to eat it. The food was still delicious after the drive! The noodles are a must have - great spicy numbness flavor but without the butt-kicking spicyness that makes me want to die. The wontons did not have a lot of sauce but has a thin wrapper and flavorful pork filling. It had a mild numbing spice flavor but the pork really shines. Highly recommend and will definitely come back to try their other dishes!

What a solid spot for Szechuan food. They only had two workers when I came in on Sunday so it was a bit weird when I walked in and decided to grab menus and sit myself down. When the waiter finally came he was friendly. He seemed to be able to speak partial English and mandarin so had no issue actually ordering. In terms of food I gave these three items a try. Toothpick Lamb - A classic and this place makes it well. Lamb is fried and smothered with chillis. It's not super spicy but you can taste a bit of the numbing. It's delicious. (5/5) Mapo Tofu - A classic dish for Szechuan food. This place makes it as good as any other place. Solid. (4.5/5) Fried Sauce Dry Noodles - Surprisingly this was pretty good and for $10, nothing really to complain about. It's a pretty basic dish but it was tasty. (4/5) Overall this place is definitely a hole in the wall spot and can easily be missed. Parking is on the street. Wasn't too busy on a weekend, but totally worth a try if you're craving some spicy food. Also pricing is very reasonable here, spent about $43 for 3 full dishes which I had plenty of leftovers. White rice is an extra $1.50 which isn't bad.

We were craving for some spicy food and something new. This place it's our first time here. The inside is very clean and very simple. Good for large party as well as small. The only thing is the echo. Our next table was super loud and plus the echo, I couldn't even hear the person sitting in from me. The food was good. We ordered a fish dish and the eel vermicelli. Our spicy level was already mild and was still spicy. The experience was not so pleasant since we could barely have a normal conversation, but the food made up for it.

TLDR: Really flavorful and tolerable spice that won't give you heart burn. It's not particularly a numbing spice contest here, but you will def enjoy the balance of acids and fats from these dishes. An amazing spot I forgot all about. I came here when it first opened back in 2022 and the food was good, but it was nothing to rave about. Came back on a whim because it was one of 3 restaurants about to close around 8pm (I didn't have dinner) so I picked this spot. And, boyyyyy, was I so glad. The vibe was quiet and had some low chinese music in the bg. It felt like a Jonathan Gold moment :') Each dish really was a home run for me. 1. Hot and Sour Jelly - wasn't hot at all, but had the perfect Sichuan flavor balanced with sweetness 2. Fried Sauce Dry Noodle - incredible al dente texture and absolutely sooo flavorful 3. Sautéed Beef Tenderloin w/ Pepper - absolutely delicious well-balanced acidity and spice profile. This dish has glass noodles which really absorb all the juices! Everything was perfect and our server even made the effort to place the plates in a well presented way as each dish came out. Highly recommend this spot because I do not want it to go out of business! Prices are very fair considering the huge portions too!

I gave a 5 star because I really want this business to do well! 1. The service was great for a Chinese place. It's one lady working the whole front. She was nice and attentive, she was even kind to the delivery pick up people that came in, and packed the to go for me at the end of my meal! 2. Delicious food, good portions. Comparatively, it's the lower price of what you can find of quality Chinese food. I don't recommend getting the fresh cut fish because they actually fillet the fish so there are some fine bones and it's not cleaned very well. Flavor still good and didn't bother me. The cold noodle is a must, less on the tangy side and more on spice. I do love that the chili in this dish is very clean and doesn't have that burnt taste some other places have. I was only able to try 2 dishes but I would definitely come back for more. 3. The restaurant is very spacious but it's not a bougie place. Come here for a good meal, not the view. There's definitely bigger tables that can seat large parties. 4. Parking is probably the worst since it's mostly streets and it's on a big street. But not difficult to find parking though you may have to walk a few steps. Would love to see this restaurant thrive.

I like Sichuan food but when every single dish is peppercorn OIL overload, it gets tiring fast... It is authentic but that being said, I would have preferred a little bit more variety in their base. I wasn't a big fan of their Sichuan fried chicken dish - it's not as crunchy and savory as the original (Chongqing chicken). I get they're trying to put their own spin on it but I really believe in that saying, don't fix what's not broken... and screw 1997, geopolitics doesn't have to divide cuisine. Got their fried sauce dried noodles and that was pretty good. I probably wouldn't get it again but it did its job. The wonton in chili oil was probably the best out of the three that I got. Flavorful and authentic with the right amount of chili oil, not too much where it's drenched but not too little where it's parched. With so many great Sichuan options in the area, it's difficult to commit. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return... but the customer service was good (even though our server didn't speak English... at least he was pleasant and helpful). We appreciate the (southern) hospitality!

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior is quite nice and the food is amazing. A warning is that the food is quite spicy, even for someone used to eating reasonable amounts of spice. The food is authentic Szechuan cuisine with my personal favorites including the toothpick lamb and sour fish. Service is very attentive and the waitress checks in after serving the first dish to ask whether you want your food more or less spicy. Prices are reasonable and I look forward to returning soon!
