    churro sundae

the churro sundae was something to dream about. I was being edged for 3 weeks thinking about it after i saw it advertised and it didn't disappoint one bit.

The corn and mangonada was delicious!! I've been craving some snacks and this hit the spot! My Fiance loved the aguas and he also had a frito pie which he loved as well. Cute and clean place with some seating inside. The cashier was super friendly and helped us make some choices on what we wanted. Need to come back soon!

    Churros with chocolate sauce! Amazing

We've been coming to this place for years since it was across the street by CVS. Their menu has expanded in a good way! They added churros so we decided to give them a try. We normally go to Honchos off Broadway but I must say these are just as delicious for 1/2 the price!! They make them fresh and the sauces are great. $2.00 each y'all!!!! You can't beat that with a baseball bat! Try them you won't be disappointed. The service is great and the place is very clean. Good people and great owners.

Great stop for snacks- something for everyone. We tend to stop after the kids sports games at McAllister Park just down the road. They have a wide variety: fruit cups, raspas, Mexican sodas, Mexican candies, nachos, frito pie, and traditional ice cream/milkshakes. Prices are comparable with any other snack shop and their product is always fresh and plentiful. Staff have always been friendly, interior is small but usually enough seats for everyone there and very clean. They take cash and credit card.

Wow! The amount of stuff they offer is impressive. Clean establishment. I got corn in a cup and hot Cheetos with cheese, loved it all. So delicious. And service was awesome, very sweet lady that helped me. Will be back. Sad I didn't come sooner.

    Cherry shaved ice

Visiting San Antonio and my wife found this place on yelp. She initially wanted a mango dessert but when we got there decided to go with the mango coconut and jicama combination dessert. The kids ate ice cream and shaved ice I didn't try her dish but the shaved ice was the best shaved ice I have ever had. It was dense and pure like snow. I know that sounds over the top but it's the best description for what this is. There were no big chunks of ice. The flavors were also super-intense and rich. Not just syrup splashed on some ice. My wife enjoyed the mango, coconut jicama thing. We were in San Antonio for 5 days and went there 3 times. Mainly cuz my wife liked her dish that much. Not sure when we're back in SAT but when we are- we are going here!!

Located in the Parkwood Place Shopping Center along Thousand Oaks and Henderson Pass

Location: Inside the Parkwood Place Shopping Center along Thousand Oaks and Henderson Pass. Plenty of parking! Interior: So clean! Just like the other location! Vibrant, island style interior definitely gets you in the mood to indulge in some tasty snacks. Service: Friendly staff. Questions answered if any were had. Food choices: The menu consists mainly of fruit, smoothies, corn in a cup, and a few other interesting snacks. - Corn in a Cup: I swear to all things that I have tried and tried to make corn in a cup the way these amazing people do... and every time that I think I've got it... I order their's and my world gets crushed. Dude. This corn in a cup is SO FLIPPING GOOD. If I could swim in it, and it's tempting, I would. - Cucumber Jicama Mixed: had it "preparado" with lime and Lucas seasoning. So. Good. I love how fresh and refreshing jicama and cucumber are. - Chicharrones Preparados: Never had this before, but let me tell you... When you order this (and you're a fool if you don't), lather some Valentino sauce on top and go to town. This is SO. GOOD. It's deceivingly delicious. I know it doesn't look like much of anything, but oh my GOD. It's goooood. - Strawberries and Cream: I didn't have this but this is what they said: "Not overly sweet! Absolutely delicious! Reminds me of Japan and what I used to eat when I was little! The fruits were so fresh. You can really tell that they care about their creations." Recommendation: Literally anything on the menu. Prices are on-point. Makes you feel like you're getting a deal instead of highway robbery. I mean, let's be real. I can grab a cucumber at the store, chop it up, and toss some stuff on it and call it a day all for $2. But this is better. You get the ambiance. The music. The multitude of delicious choices. And the chance to try something new. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. I know I'll be back again and again.

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.

There is no seating inside but a couple of tables sit outside. I think I counted 16 unique flavors when I visited. The cordial woman doing the scooping kindly offered tastes but my ice cream radar had already zeroed in on my choices. I chose chocolate orange and caramel salt lick. In a cup. I took a seat outside and was in heaven. Both scoops were so creamy and had bold flavor. The caramel salt lick perfectly describes it - salty caramel flavor. Have you ever had those chocolate oranges that seem to appear on store shelves around Christmas time? That's exactly how the chocolate orange ice cream tastes. But better. Not only that, but the food operators were not small businesses but operated by the organization or company running the festival. Nothing unique about them or their offerings imho. I found this cute little creamery on Yelp while I was stuck in a crowd of people trying to navigate down the plaza. It wasn't awfully busy & I was able to pop in to sample a few flavors & walk out with a 3 scoop cup in under 5 mins. I'm trying to remember what the flavor I chose was specifically, but I want to say it was goat cheese & honey? It was fantastic whatever it was & it hit the spot on a particularly warm evening. The staff were very friendly & working hard on probably one of the busiest nights of the year. The ice cream was great & consistency between homemade ice cream & frozen custard. A little sticky but still with that yummy grainy texture of homemade & you can tell they are using good ingredients too.
