We've been coming to this place for years since it was across the street by CVS. Their menu has expanded in a good way! They added churros so we decided to give them a try. We normally go to Honchos off Broadway but I must say these are just as delicious for 1/2 the price!! They make them fresh and the sauces are great. $2.00 each y'all!!!! Great stop for snacks- something for everyone. We tend to stop after the kids sports games at McAllister Park just down the road. Great shaved ice! We had the cherry flavor and you can see the cherries, delicious! They also have snow ones and there is definitely a difference in the type of method used. We didn't personally try it but we saw a couple of customers order it and it also looked like fine ice, which to me is better. They also offered several move flavors in this method than shaved ice since the shaved ice they use has natural fruits. We ordered the corn in a cup and it was amazing! I usually don't care for sour cream in my corn cups but decided to get it a try and it was good. They also add EXTRA butter which is yummy to me. If you're in the area, definitely recommend them. Visiting San Antonio and my wife found this place on yelp. She initially wanted a mango dessert but when we got there decided to go with the mango coconut and jicama combination dessert. The kids ate ice cream and shaved ice I didn't try her dish but the shaved ice was the best shaved ice I have ever had. It was dense and pure like snow. I know that sounds over the top but it's the best description for what this is. There were no big chunks of ice. The flavors were also super-intense and rich. Not just syrup splashed on some ice. My wife enjoyed the mango, coconut jicama thing. We were in San Antonio for 5 days and went there 3 times. Mainly cuz my wife liked her dish that much. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!! Addicting sweet treats and snacks handmade to order with love. Pandemic conditions have reduced this little shop to a walkup order window only - no indoor access at all. Face masks are required to place an order with the small but friendly, helpful staff. Big posters on the windows showcase all of the treats. Customers place orders, then hang out at one of the picnic tables on the covered patio or wait in their cars for their order to be ready. Once we discovered the existence of the fabulous mangonadas in a place so close to our house, we returned practically every other night all throughout the summer. It was ridiculous, but we couldn't help ourselves! Whether the mango with chamoy or the sweet mangonada or strawberries and cream, each one is fruity heaven in a cup. Fresh and cold - just the perfect treat on our hot South Texas days and nights. We also discovered the corn in a cup - wow! So simple but OH SO DELICIOUS!
