We had Bangan Bartha and Tandoori Shrimp, both were good and flavorful. Shrimp was cooked well. We also had Sag Paneer, which sadly was tasteless. Also, super disappointing was the Mint, Cilantro Chutney, it didn't taste fresh and herby like I get at other Indian restaurants. Overall ok, but not great. read more

Literally unbelievably good. Good doesn't even describe how succulent their food is. I almost feel enlightened or something.... I don't know. Just go here. The restaurant itself was clean and the wait staff were very knowledgeable and recommended which wines paired well with their main dishes. Here's what we got. I had the chicken gram Marsala and the lady had the lamb vindaloo. We also had garlic naan bread with a chocolate grand Teton dessert. The bread was comparable to sex. And they brought out rice too. Their portions are large and appropriate for the price. You won't leave hungry. I don't even know where to begin with the curry quality. It was so strong but gentle. So. Much. Flavor. Was in the area and decided to stop in due to the pictures online looking so good. The food is amazing, but the service is even better. Our server forgot to bring out a sauce with our entrees, so he gave free dessert to the entire table. He also brought extra rice to our table and was very attentive to our needs. Like most places, we ordered to go and did not eat at the restaurant. We ordered the saag paneer, chicken tikka, and garlic naan. Why 2 stars? The garlic naan was the best thing we ate there. The main thing that was off putting was the rice. It was extremely buttery. The dishes seemed to also have a lot of butter in them too. I felt like every bite I was taken, I was taking a bite of butter. The food itself still had flavor, but I have eaten Indian food in several different states at several different locations and have never had it like this. The portion sizes you get for spending $19 on food is absolutely ridiculous and highway robbery. multiple times i've gotten chicken dishes with barely 3 tablespoons of chicken. Clean, professional restaurant and pleasant atmosphere with great lighting. Servers were attentive to every one of their patron's needs including ours, making sure to drop by to make sure food and appetizers were good. Service was quick and efficient, getting the appetizer out only 10-15 minutes after ordering and kept our glasses of water full. When ordering our food, the server made sure to be clear on the level of spiciness for each dish which was greatly appreciated. Food was great, would say their dishes are enough for 2 people. Their rice and naan were deliciously spiced, and were great with the stews. Manager dropped by (Dave) and made sure that their service and food were up to par for us. This new edition of restaurant is needed in our area which is dominated by fast food chains with greasy foods. Hopefully other restaurant like Zaika will migrate to our area in the near future. Zaika hasn't been open in Castle Rock for very long, but we have had the opportunity to try it a couple of times already. Both orders were for pick up, and the owner (?) that answered the phone recognized my creature of habit order the second time around and welcomed me back. Great customer service on that front. The remodel they have done of the area is quite nice. A small restaurant, but the finishes remind me of the other Zaika locations I've been to in Colorado - clean, elegant and modern. They have even put some USB outlets in at the bar, a nice touch if you're eating alone and want to consume yourself in a device. When you get to the food - all I can say is wow. The spices, the flavor, the leftovers... what's not to love? The portions are enough that my husband and I can order different items and score a second meal out of the deal. We have had the Paneer Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Saag - all of them were perfect. I have a feeling we'll be visiting this place a couple times each month. There is a new top dog in the area for Indian food. We were absolutely blown away by the food and service. Both the Chicken Korma and the Chicken Saag were phenomenal and better than any other versions we've had around the area. The Momo dipping sauce was excellent, and the Lycheetini cocktail was incredibly smooth and delicious. The menu is extensive and they offer the option to replace the protein for a wide number of dishes (including the Saag we had that normally doesn't come with meat) which allows you to get exactly what you're in the mood for. We can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The service also topped every other Indian restaurant around. The staff was both attentive and accommodating while also giving us privacy. They clearly enjoy what they do and go out of their way to be hospitable. We absolutely recommend this place to any fan of authentic Indian food, and we can't wait to go back. read more

Got delivery, took about 30-35 mins, not bad. We ordered the chicken curry medium spicy, it was okay. Not spicy at all, but chicken was well cooked. We also ordered the seafood Kerala yum!!! Really great flavor, I got mild, but it was pretty spicy. I'm also really sensitive to spice, so it was fine. Delicious sauce, seafood well cooked not over cooked. We ate VEGAN and there were many options. Fine Dining experience! We had: Chana Masala (Chickpeas w/tomato), Khatta Bhindi (Okra), Dal Tarka (Lentils), Roti, Papad, and Chai--all were excellent. We noticed that you could taste the individual spices, and the individual vegetables clearly, while you could also taste the overall flavor. I really love Zaika Littleton, and I really don't want to dislike the Zaika here in Castle Rock, but every time I've ordered from them it has been lacking in comparison to what I get in Littleton. I don't know why, but it's not nearly as good. I mean, look at the photo I attached here, I was charged the normal amount for half as much food as I normally get, and somehow the Kali Manchurian was hard and dry, was I given just scraps of old food for full price? It's very disappointing to me as Zaika Littleton was one of my favorite restaurants before we moved to Castle Rock and this location does not do it justice at all. read more
