As with any new spot in Vegas generating buzz, Zaxby's opening came with long lines and some expected kinks to work out. I always give grace to new places, especially within their first six months, as they navigate staffing changes and other growing pains. With that said, I ordered the three-piece tender meal, and I was satisfied! The chicken was tasty, and the fries were solid. The sweet tea hit the spot perfectly. What really stood out was the exceptional variety of sauces--way better than most fast food chicken competitors, with only Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken topping it. The fried pickles were completely burnt it felt like I was just eating fried dough then the ones that get stuck together do NOT cook through all the way so it was doughy I'm very disappointed in the quality versus when they first opened. This was not the best experience the food upset my stomach instantly went through the drive-through and once I received my food the box had so much condensation in the inside everything was wet. I contemplated on eating it or not but after paying $20 and some change, I ate the chicken, fries and eggrolls. ***Visited on Saturday July 5th 2025 at 830PM*** Tried this location for the first time and was utterly disappointed. I paid for extra sauces to sample the different flavors and they did not provide ANY sauce in my bag whatsoever. I was very excited to try the sauces. It was hard to enjoy the dry chicken without a sauce. There were no utensils or napkins provided either. This just shows the carelessness of the employees working that night and lack of service. Chik-Fil-A or Canes would never. Honestly the ONLY advantage Zaxby's has over Canes is that they offer more sauces. And they failed on that. Not going back. read more

She can really read the room and kept that place in motion. She was super attentive to the customers and to details in general. We need more people like her! The tenders are juicy & I get them tossed in buffalo it's fast food so don't expect something crazy.... But the chicken is good & juicy. Now that I have tried it, I still feel the same, not impressed. Husband went through the drive through ordered 4 items ( Zensational salad, fried pickles, chicken strips and a side of fries). Get home and they forgot the fries! Husband went back to get the fries and they offered nothing in return for him being inconvenienced. How do you forget one out of four things, I mean really?! Are you even checking the orders?! Fried pickles were just ok, not a fan of the breading, had better. Salad was ok, lettuce and coleslaw topping was definitely not fresh (see picture). We came back after a disastrous first visit. The manager made things right and comped our meal, which was very nice of him. We will definitely come back. Here's my updated honest review of the food: The food was good. The tenders aren't the best I've had, but they're fine. The sauce selection is great and we loved the wings. Fries could be crispier but overall I liked them. The salad was also very good and probably one of the best fast food salads I've seen. We will probably come here more than Canes simply because of the variety and options. My wife prefers salads and wings, so this fits, and we like the sauces and options. One of my tenders was sooo tiny, a little bigger than the size of my thumb, I was pretty upset they counted that as a full tender. The wings were nicely sauced , weren't very big but they weren't tiny. Could have been cooked a little longer. I liked the thick crinkle cut fries, they have a little seasoning on em too. The chicken sandwich was suuuper salty, the piece of chicken was soo flat and the picture shows pickles, ours came with out any. The toast was good imo. I want to prefice this review by saying I understand they just opened and that I do hope they get better. Let's start with the good. The egg rolls were simply the best out of everything I ordered, would definitely recommend. The wings were not a bad size and had good flavor. The sauces, that I actually got, were really good. I liked the cheese curds more than the pickles and both were not bad for fast food. Now to the not so good. I didn't get any zaxby sauce and no raspberry sauce, which for first impressions isn't the best. The chicken fingers are literally so small, smallest out of all their competition. Their fries also leave nothing to be desired, as they are under seasoned and undercooked. Their bread is lacking when compared to places like canes. To summarize, when compared to the other chicken places nearby, like 5, I can't bring myself to put this near the top. The fingers are small, the fries under seasoned and undercooked, and the bread just there. The eggrolls and sauces are good but don't justify coming here over other places. Okay, this is an honest review. I went here 3 times and was really hopeful of a better outcome. First to say, their customer service is great, very enthusiastic and treats you very well. Daniel working drive thru is very great, hears orders perfectly and repeats it clearly back to you. Also their pricing is decent, not to pricey for your combo meals. Second, what is really giving this place a 2 star is the fact that their chicken is just too tough when trying to eat, it's hot and fresh, breading is good, but again the chicken is tough to eat, i'm not sure what is making the chicken tough. Big downside on that to enjoy the chicken. Fries are seasoned well and overall great. The bread is definitely hit and miss. Out of the three times I have went, it's either little to no butter, or burnt. Their drinks are good, I have yet to try their lemonades or milkshakes. But their coke products are great! My third time I went unfortunately I drove off without trying my coca cola, and it was definitely needed an exchange, due to my coca cola just taking like soda water, with no carbonation. Overall experience out of 3 tries, I rate them 2 stars. If they can make their chicken less tough to eat, and check their soda cartridges and get their toast to a consistency it'll get a better rating. Be prepared for a very long wait. I ordered 2 dine in meals during lunch rush. The drive thru was long so opted to eat inside. After waiting for 25 minutes I asked for an update on my food. I was told there were several customers in front of me and it would be another 20ish minutes. Another customer had just paid and overheard the conversation. He immediately asked for a refund. Fries didn't try it. Cheese curds, NOT good at all. We drove back to Canes. Fast food pricing continues to outpace value. Zaxby's is no exception. We stopped by the highly anticipated opening of the first Zaxby's in Las Vegas. I went forward without high expectations and an open mind. But....Disappointment set in as soon I saw the pricing of the menu on the marquee inside, (see pictures.) The OLNY bone-in chicken are the wings, (you can order boneless as well.) The order of a la carte 5 wings was omitted from the menu and you have to ask the cashier how much they are, (*They do have "individual pricing on orders of 10 or more wing on the right side of the marquee menu.) The 5 bone-in wings came to a whopping $8.99, yes, that is for 5 "junior-size wings, (see pix attached.) That equates to $1.79 per wing. Comparatively you can get bone-in wings at Wingstop for $1.36 each & Buffalo wild wings are $2.16 per wing. So these fall in the middle. Nothing remarkable about these wings, just 5 junior size wing. Very disappointing. Although I have not tried the other menu items, I cannot speak for those but if the wings are an indicator of value and taste, look elsewhere. I did see that the small milkshake comes in a descent size cup for only $4.99 and maybe the in-season peach flavor will be a winner. We shall see. If you like the fast food experience driven by corporate pricing and uninspired flavors by committee, then Zaxby's is your kind of place.
