Can I just say, the salmon is A-MAZ-ING! It tastes so fresh and it's seasoned just perfectly. It comes with Spanish rice pilaf and salad and it's just the perfect amount of food. My friend had the beef kabob plate which comes with rice, Greek salad, and hummus...I couldn't help stealing all of his hummus. Sooo goood! I've also tried the garlic shrimp here which is definitely one of my top faves! It's super flavorful and garlicky and they actually give you a lot of shrimp! As far as the staff goes, they are really nice, and you can tell they really want to make your dining experience enjoyable. There's an Asian lady at the front who's always greeting us with a huge smile and just so full of energy. She hooks it up time to time with extra fruit or soup, etc, and she's so nice! This place seems to be Korean-owned. This Korean ajuma was manning the cash register and she was rushing the couple in front of us. She was saying how she wants the line to move faster. I got the chicken kebob with rice, hummus, salad, and drink for ~$11. The kebob is bright orange. The rice is good. The hummus was not that great. They have fountain drinks and different kinds of iced tea. They also have a sauce bar with tartar, Italian, thousand island, ranch, hot sauce, Armenian dressing, cocktail sauce, etc.etc. The menu is extensive. They have Mexican, seafood, breakfast food, Mediterranean, salads, deli sandwiches and American. It not bad for Vernon. (which isn't saying much because there's nothing to eat there!) read more

The best place to eat in Vernon! They offer a variety of food and everything I've tried is good. My favorites are the Spicy Chicken Kabob and the Greek Salad. Their homemade dressing for the Greek Salad is amazing!! They have a brown rice option and don't charge extra for it. Great customer service and fair prices for the amount of food you get. Wow! Breakfast Burrito and coffee, how do you jack that up. Got my "coffee" a nice lady hands me an almost empty gallon milk jug with sour milk in it. I pour first and read 5 days past due after seeing clumps pour out, nasty but ok. 10 minutes later I eat an average burrito. I really wish I hadn't. Don't eat here. Flash forward a few hours, and my stomach is in a bad place and has been since I left this hole. I am not sure what the other people are used to but even if I hadn't had a bad experence it could only muster 2 stars at the most. My friend also ate here he had the breakfast sandwich, or about a third of it really and got sick just as fast as i did. I am not just being a jerk here, this place made me sick and I paid them for it, I even left them a 20% tip. Really wish I hadn't. After a day of, how should I put this, being unwell. It is now Friday afternoon and I should be thinking about going out and having some fun in stead I am sitting waiting for my next trip to the bathroom. Z's is great. Their menu is top notch and they offer pretty much anything your heart desires. Maybe it's the monopoly they have over the lunch crowd in Vernon, but it's always packed. I was out in LA and discovered this little gem of a restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service were all top notch. The korean lady was super nice and so adorable! She went all around the restaurant and made sure every customer's food and service were up to her standards. She and I had a nice little chat and I could tell that she was very passionate about providing the best experience possible while dining. A random place in the middle of a random area of Los Angeles. While having a meeting off of Soto Street, I decided to stop for lunch here and was sure happy I did. I got the Chicken plate and it was GREAT , it is served with a salad pita bread rice and some great sauce. It is a must try. The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars is because the owner is a little overboard, She yells at the entire staff and its borderline embarrassing. She is just yelling at everyone. NOM NOM NOM! I love this place! My favorite part about sitting in hour and a half LA traffic is stopping by Z's place. Parking lot is large with plenty of parking, even during the lunch rush. This place gets really busy during lunch as i've seen the line go out the door. They have almost every variety of food. Don't know what you're feeling like that day? Stare at the menu thats almost as long as an entire wall, and take your pick! My favorites are the Z trio, ahi tuna fish, and the cheese steak. Take advantage of their sauces as in the corner next to the drinks, they have almost every kind of sauce. Speaking of the drinks, try their lemonade! I overheard someone, maybe the owner saying that they make the lemonade fresh every morning. I like get half lemonade and half sprite as I need my carbonation. My food never takes that long to make, at most 10 minutes, which is pretty amazing how many people are waiting in line sometimes. The seating on the inside can fit a good amount of people, but if you feel like some fresh air, they have an outside patio that seems to be shared by a restaurant next door. My favorite deli hands down i work at farmer john and heard alot of good things about this place. So i finally went and tryed it and its was better than they told me i tryed a few things on the menu and all was good but i fell in the with the club sandwich its better than subway which is why i dont mind spending $7 instead of $5 Alejandra knows my order and calls it out as soon as i come in the door shes a really good cashier and glad they have people like her. Danny makes mu sandwhich most of the time and always makes it really good and fast hes great. this place offers a little bit of everything which is always rather suspicious to me. however the choices are slim in vernon which is near my job and if i don't bring lunch i have to venture into the wilds of vernon cuisine. i tried the chicken kabob plate thinking it would be authentic and good. it was the blandest chicken i've ever had. i'm not even certain it was chicken. coated in an orange hue which presumably was a spice but it had a flavor akin to plastic or rubber. this was accompanied by a meager portion of rice and an iceberg lettuce salad. the humus was o.k. also 2/3's of a round of pita was included. what do they do with the other 3'rd? trying to save money? i wouldn't recommend this place as they are trying to be all things to all people. better to do one thing well then do everything badly. read more
