$28 for a slice of quiche is diabolical, even for austin :), but we enjoyed the restaurant though, hence the 5-star rating. I just won't order the quiche Next time. All of the pastries were phenomenal. I'll be back for them.

5/5 Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Vibes We came in 50 minutes before closing for the AYCE mussels Monday and really hoped we could eat at least 2 plates before the restaurant/kitchen closed. Though service started off slow because the place was packed, we were incredibly thankful of their patience and generosity soon after. They welcomed us (and another table of customers) to stay past closing to eat more mussels and get our fill as they cleaned up since it took a while to cook each plate. Not only that, their coconut, lime, and basil sauce was delicious! My partner slumped up the first couple plates before we continued downing fries and mussels again. We hope to come back again (and earlier next time)!

OK, so we saw this space school viral on Instagram about their muscles and Fritz happy hour. And it's unlimited of muscles and fries for $35 which was amazing. We definitely got a reservation because it did fill up while we were there. When I arrived, the hostess was so nice. Got me seated right away and our waiter was super attentive and patient with us because we're very picky on wine and let us sample what we liked and then we ended up getting a bottle because also the wine bottles were half off that evening. Let me tell you the muscles were delicious that sauce that they were in you can literally drink it like soup. And the french fries were so good too. They were literally addicting and you just wanted to keep eating more and more and more. I could tell you, me and my friends ordered about three rounds of muscles each. And the rosé wine that we got was so nice and definitely worth the price. As you've seen my video of the pastries, I ended up caving and getting to go a artichoke croissant and a ham and cheese croissant and OMG they were divine. You can tell everything is freshly bake there. This is definitely a place. I will keep coming back too because everything was so good about it.

The apple miso cruller is AMAZING! I only picked up the pastry but it's also a really cute sit down place for brunch. The barista was sweet and gave good recommendations. Can't wait to go back to try another pastry!

This is easily one of the better restaurants in Austin. Especially for north of downtown. That said, I am giving it an emphatic 5 stars because I feel that some of the lower reviews on here are simply inaccurate or unjust. The food is divine and the consistency is impressive. The bar staff is extremely competent and can make a variety of amazing classic cocktails or their own. The servers go out of their way to be helpful, learn your name, get you seated, etc... Also, the baked goods are wildly delicious. 5/5 highly recommended.

Such a cute bakery/eatery!!! The pasteries were to die for, and the servers were super sweet and helpful, with stopping by to check in to see if the food was good. The quiche was so good; it had Gruyère cheese along the sides and the flavors melded so well together. The pasteries were all so flaky, and the coffees were subtley sweet, making it pair well with the food!

Came for the $32 mussels and frites on Monday nights. Service is slow even at 5:15. Wasn't greeted by a server til about 5:30. The muscles and fries don't even come out together. You basically get one or the other at a time So you can't enjoy them together to dip the fries in the sauce. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink served from the time it was ordered. I was also seated at a family style table and I didn't notice until after I left that two drinks of the other half tables drinks were on my tab. meaning the party that didn't belong too, my group ended up buying two of their drinks. Water was never refilled until desserts and their water cups are like 2 sips big. Overall, the food is OK. the pistachio gluten-free ice cream sandwich I thought was better than the beignets. I know It's just fried dough, but I've had better beignets in Louisiana. These lacked a lot of flavor. Would I come back? probably not

Great little cafe for breakfast or brunch. Hits: -Steak tartare -Burger and frites -all of the pastries -latte with vanilla bean syrup Misses (specific to the tartare, which is still my favorite hit): -this last round, the gem lettuce that came with it was on its way out. -you have to order bread to go with it (necessary but delicious) Service was great.

Fantastic food and a cute cafe location. Parking is mostly street parking because of the small lot, but we had no issues finding a spot. The cafe was also not crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Their brunch menu is fantastic! The breakfast sandwich was our favorite. Other standouts include their French onion soup and the beef tartare appetizer. And the potatoes! Those were my favorite- so unique Ive never seen potatoes cooked like that. Other highlight was the dessert. Fresh and hot- be sure to check out their incredible pastry assortment as well!

Very cute little pastry restaurant! We ordered a decent spread for brunch and love the variety of food you can get we got beef tartar, potatoes, breakfast sandwich and burger. Everything was delicious but the burger was just average. The burger patties were tiny and lacked anything special to make it a good burger. The breakfast sandwich was good but the crispiness of the croissant was lost due to the grease. Tartar was creamy and we didn't get food poisoning so that's a plus! Potatoes were roasted beautifully tender but not crispy, never had roe with potatoes but there were a nice salty packets that paired well with the potatoes! Staff was extremely friendly and patient with us. Will be coming back for more!

Very cute and French like shop on the inside. Low key, slow moving, I like their vibes a lot. The prices are on the higher side. I like the appetizers a lot : Caesar salad, beef tartare. Partner also likes his cocktail. I got their main with the pork skewer and bean/corn rice concoction: Not my favorite in the world. Partner got the burger which was fine, nothing crazy. Their pastries look beautiful and they are pricy... I think we got a Kouign Amann for $7 or $8 AND they dont give a discount at night, which they definitely should because I dont know if its good practice to sell stale croissants the next day..

Salted chocolate chip cookie and chocolate croissant
    Jeff B.

A small Italian cafe with pastries and coffee. I ordered a salted chocolate chip cookie with a cup of coffee. Both were delicious. The place is clean and it has tables and a bar to sit. We were met promptly upon arrival and shown to our seats. It was a very nice experience. The only downside is parking, but it is available and we were lucky.

can-eat mussels and fries paired with half-price bottles of wine up to $100. It turns a regular Monday into a "we absolutely made the right decision" kind of night. The mussels are fresh and flavorful, the broths are so good you'll start using fries as utensils without a second thought, and the fries somehow disappear faster than the wine is poured. This is peak ladies dinner energy--relaxed, a little indulgent, and just chaotic enough where everyone swears they're "only having one glass" and nobody believes it. The conversation gets louder, the laughs get easier, and the vibes only get better as the night goes on. The staff is genuinely delightful--warm, attentive, and effortlessly on top of everything while making the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. By the end of it, the Monday blues are completely wiped away. And don't forget to take home some freshly made croissants, cookies, and pastries for tomorrow-you to appreciate. Epicerie is the kind of spot that turns Monday into a weekly tradition. Brilliant dining

New items! How exciting: I had not been here for a couple of months. This time I decided to try their matcha- it comes topped with a chocolate pistachios cream (this was a bit too much for me, my daughter liked it) and the matcha was also too sweet for me, but very flavorful. For our main dish I ordered the shrimp and grits, and my daughter ordered biscuits and gravy. My dish had 4 small shrimp (which I ate) a lot of anduille sausage bits, and a lot of flavorful sauce over these soupy cheesy grits that was not what I expected. It was served as a "soup" with a spoon. There was some toasted bread on the side of the bowl. While everything was very flavorful, I did not like the soupy consistence, it was unexpected for me. My daughter's biscuits and gravy, on the other hand, needed more gravy... she liked the dish but she felt her gravy was too little for the serving. Then she also ordered a half order (1) pancake with cinamon roll French toast and we took that home. It had good flavor! Overall, I enjoyed the food, the flavors were good, the prices have definitely gone up a LOT. 3 stars for good flavor as expected- but I was not "blown away"... but yes of course I would come again!
